I adopted Maggie, as a two and a half year old maltese/schnauzer cross because she fought with her much larger twin sister and their owner was going to give her away to someone else. That was eight and a half years ago. Since then I’ve been taking Maggie to Preston Veterinary Clinic as the need arose. It was via a referral from a malamute owing friend - a valuable referral. Maggie has been to Preston Veterinary Clinic for ailments as simple as having a damaged dew claw removed and complications due to fleas and extreme seasonal skin irritations to anal sac inflammation and an operation to remedy the problem. The best advice I was given was to add a teaspoon of psyllium husk to Maggie’s meals a few times a week. Ask Robin for a photo of the results! On the subject of good advice, consultations are as much lessons in anatomy and pet husbandry as they are explanations of the current illness. I have found that no concern is too trivial to raise and given a picture tells a thousand words, I hope that Robin’s whiteboard pens never run out of ink. Invariably, I can book a consultation within 24hrs of calling (usually the same day) and the girls at the front desk are always accommodating and full of worthy advice if I have questions while on the phone. In the waiting room they are helpful and happily greet any animal as it arrives. The reception area and consulting room are spacious and clean. There is always water for dogs and if you want, you can weigh yourself as well as your pet. The carpark has always afforded me a space to park my car. Access, westbound via Bell Street, is simple. I live in Brunswick but the service is well worth the drive. Their operating hours suit would suit every one with early opening and late closing times. Late last year, Maggie had trouble eating and breathing – she was lethargic and not her normal energetic, happy self. I called the Preston Veterinary Clinic from work and was able to drop her off that evening for an examination due early the next morning. Robin found a tumour the size of an egg in the throat of my 6kg dog. He removed it and found it malignant – as is the case with many pigmented dog breeds. Maggie is progressing well, her friendly cheeky behavior is back to normal and we will continue to monitor her closely as she ages – I’m told she is now a senior dog but she’s a loveable happy pup to anyone who meets her. I still have her this way due to the observations and efforts aforementioned. I recommend anyone who cares about any kind of animal to utilize the services of Preston Veterinary Clinic. A big thank you to Robin and all of the staff (front and back of house) at the Clinic for all of the care and love you have for our pets and for getting them back on their paws when they need it and when we need it.

My husband and I have been taking our pets to see Robyn at the Preston Vet for over 15 years. Most recently our 12 year old Staff Diesel was diagnosed with two aggressive cancerous lumps on his right leg, Robyn was so informative and honest about Diesel's situation and the decision was made to immediately remove the two lumps. The surgery was extensive and Robyn advised that after two bandage changes, we would need to tend to Diesels open wounds as the position of the wounds meant skin grafts where impossible, until mother nature healed his wounds which was confronting at first but as the days went by and the wounds began to heal themselves everything Robyn said was true, the wounds healed themselves. Due to Diesels age cancer surgery was of concern but I am so happy to say that thanks to the amazing work performed by Robyn during Diesels surgery, with the help of his team, Diesel has made an amazing recovery. Robyn is our Superman of Vets, he also looks similar to the original "superman" movie character Christopher Reeves, always honest and reliable and in this instance we believe he literally saved Diesels life, which means we get more time to enjoy with him THANK YOU to Robyn and the team at Preston Vet Clinic from the bottom of our hearts. This is the Best vet clinic i have ever been to. Usually my 2 dogs a terrified of other vet clinics. But at Preston Veterinary Clinic they both vertually happily race through the door excited to see the clinic staff. Robin has been amazing in looking after our dogs Ripley and Sprout. Especially during such a stressful and difficult time with one of them being diagnosed with carcinoma. Though it sadly means that our time with her will be limited. We have had (due to Robin's assessment and treatment plan) sucess in reducing the mass making the life she has left a little more comfortable. We travel all the way from Caulfield north to see Robin and quite honestly it is worth the 45 min trip for us. He is thorough, caring, passionate and explains everything very well. He saved us time and stress from what would have cost us thousands for unnecessary surgery and expensive ct scans that almost got forced onto us by other vets and animal hospitals. We are very greatful. We highly recommend Preston Veterinary Clinic no matter where you're travelling from. Its worth it.

I have two huskies, and both are very sensitive. We have been seeing Dr. ROBIN since last year, and my dog’s health has never been healthier with his right guidance. Very underwhelming. Given the reviews I was hoping it would be really good. However, the vet barely touched my dog throughout the examination. The vet failed to elaborate or explain anything until I heavily prompted. I was estimated an excessive amount for dental, which I found significantly (hundreds of dollars) less elsewhere. *Updated after response* Thank you for the reply, however for your own clarity. The vet did not touch my dogs mouth (for a dental appointment), I opened my dogs mouth and she failed to even bend down to his level to check. We were in there for about 6-7 minutes (yes, I checked the time because I was shocked at the lack of diligence and care) the interaction was just awkward. Then she quotes me 500 dollars more than where I have now had it completed. She didn't even give me an itemised list of those costs. Crazy.

We have been attending this Vet Practice for over 25 years and have experienced nothing but outstanding service from both the Vets themselves and the Vet Nurses (especially Bernadette whom we have known for a very long time). All the staff are very friendly, professional, knowledgeable and above all kind and caring. Dr Robin is the most amasing Vet who always listens to your concerns about your pet and never rushes you out of the room. He has treated many of our animals both cats and dogs over the years superbly and has shown equal care and dedication to their dignity at the end of life. We would highly recommend this practice to everyone in Melbourne, but sadly for us we have moved interstate. I can’t thank Dr Robin and his staff enough at Preston Veterinary Clinic for the care my puppy Millie has received this week. Millie was taken to the clinic on Wednesday due to vomiting all day she was sent home after receiving an injection to stop the vomiting. Wednesday night she was extremely lethargic and dehydrated and went back to the clinic Thursday. Millie was treated for pancreatitis and stayed at the Preston Veterinary Clinic until Saturday she was left in incredibly competent hands and I can’t be more great full to Dr Robin and all the staff for the care Millie received and for calming down my anxieties. Dr Robin even went to the extreme of passing on his mobile number to contact him any time if I had any concerns definitely above and beyond what I expected. Highly recommended! Our dog’s lost significant amount of weight after spent 3 weeks at the doggy daycare. Went straight to the vet (not going to mention where). Been told to keep feeding him a little bit extra for a week then come back and do the blood test if he isn’t getting any better. However, with a lot of concerns and advices that he needs to do the blood test to make sure he doesn’t have anything serious. We went to Preston vet and sure they did recommend the blood test to rule out any serious illness, such as diabetic. Waiting for the results with our hearts rumbling, but with a good news from Robin and a lot explanations we were absolutely delighted to hear that our boy is out of the wood. Highly recommended Robin. We can see that he’s really concerned of our dog and hope for the best for him

I do not recommend this vet. He gave my Shar-pei a non reversal sedation for her eye surgery and she died. Additional information…… 01/12/23…. I just saw the vet has responded to my review. Saying you have no record of my dog. Really! Now that is a blatant lie that you are saying I’ve never been there. And are you saying my dog didn’t die at your surgery after her surgery ??? I’m sure now I’ve jogged your memory. And now you use reversible sedation. After my dog died. Robin you stated it was non reversal sedation. You sent her off for an autopsy. I am still traumatised after all these years. There is alot more to the story but I’m just giving HONEST feedback. And then it gives people an opportunity to ask questions. And make an informed decision

The story of the Beagle and the beauty blender. On Saturday evening, the naughty beagle ( as all beagles love to do) swallowed my beauty blender!! I was ready to drive to the emergency vets but decided to called Dr Robin on his mobile. He guided me to induce vomiting and the beagle managed to puke out a large portion of the blender. Thanks to Dr Robin, he saved  him from a potential gastrointestinal blockage! On a side note, we recently moved in the area and recently became a new client due to the beagle's limping leg ( hello CCL!) and was fortunate to have Dr Robin as his surgeon. I could tell from our first meeting that he is a genuine caring vet who wishes the best for all his clients and I am happy to have found him. Thank you again, Dr Robin.

I contacted Preston Vet after my dog became very unwell. We were lucky to be seen under very busy times. From the moment I entered Preston Vet I was super impressed with the staff and with Robin's level of care and consideration in making my dog feel safe and comfortable. I had no hesitation in leaving my dog in Robins care. Through out the day we were kept up to date on all procedures and the well being of my dog. Once discharged, I was called by the clinic to check up on Apollo and throughout the week Robin happily took all our calls and advised us on what we are to do for our dog, which resulted in a full recovery. I had to put down my lovely 14 year old girl Romy a few months ago. Doctor Robin cared for her during her illness with much care and compassion. He helped and guided me to know when it was time to let her go. He never rushed his consultations or treatments and explained the process of where she was at to ensure that Romy was comfortable and not in pain. I have such great faith and trust in Dr Robin and his team. They are truly understanding and empathetic of pets and their owners. I have since rescued another lovely pup Nahla and Dr Robin has just seen her. I know that she will be in good hands. Thank you Robin and your lovely nurses.

I have lots of pets and have been here many times. It’s a friendly environment and Dr Robin is the best - a compassionate and knowledgeable vet who you can tell really cares. I also highly recommend Dr Swee and the Vet Nurses are always friendly and helpful. I think the price is a little higher than some others but i never feel like the vets encourage any unnecessary tests or medications. I think the price is totally worth it for the level of care provided by the staff. I’ve sadly lost a couple of pets here and the empathy and professionalism in dealing with that was second to none. Highly recommend this place for your beloved pets.

My puppy met with a car accident and got an injured front leg. Two big vet hospitals suggested to go for a surgery for different reasons. Through a friend, we came to know about Dr. Robin and brought our injured puppy to him. Robin said it’s curable without surgery and our puppy is completely alright in ten days time. Without Robin, we would have gone for a surgery and spent minimum few thousands. With Robin’s guidance, we paid few hundreds only and he recovered our puppy in ten days. Robin is a great vet and works with great humanity. Hats off Robin!!! We love your help and service!!!

Always had great service at this vet, but their outstanding care and dedication was apparent when my dog was sick recently over a public holiday period. Without knowing if it was an emergency or not, I rang several emergency vets who couldn't see her, nor give any advice. I then had to bother Robin on his holiday and he was extremely helpful. He gave several home care tips and explained how to look for signs that require a trip to emergency. He eased my worst fears which gave me peace of mind until the clinic reopened and she could be seen. Very happy with this clinic.

Seemed great at first. But really just after money, made it seem so urgent and life threatening if we don’t get a procedure done. Paid 2 thousand dollars just for them to say oh well we weren’t sure if it would resolve the issue? Absolutely ridiculous no accountability and use your emotions to play games so they can earn more money off you. I don’t think they cared about my dog at all as when I picked him up he was so distressed and unhappy and scared. I’ve never picked him up from the vets like that. Absolutely disgusting, you need to do better.

Been taking our pets to Dr Robin for about 30 years now. Always remembers the families names even though I'm the one that brings our pets in (sometimes Olivia as well). I have for the first time a dog with allergies, was very daunting at the beginning, but Dr Robin has sorted Archie out and he's a happy dog, the timing of this treatment is left up to me when l feel my dog needs it, not when the manufacturer recommends it. It is great to see a vet wanting a dog happy and not worried about trying to sell me more injections then needed.

I have nothing but praise for the Preston Vet Clinic and Robin in particular. We've been bringing our friendly giant Murphy here since he was nothing but big paws and floppy skin. This is my second review and my at least fifth experience being totally chuffed with preston vet. I’m so lucky this is our local vet. My little Maltese shitzu Nash had a big surgery today and he’s a very sensitive and anxious wee boy. Everyone from the lead vet performing the surgery, to the nurse on duty and the discharge team are nothing short of person centred and empathetic, with a genuine love of the animals they work with. Preston Veterinary Clinic is my go to Vet since 2010…. The faces may have changed but the care they have given both my Vizslas has been excellent…. They have always been thorough in their assessment and treatment and provided the reassurance when needed… I attended their in-house puppy training school which was helpful with my new Hungarian Wired Haired Vizsla… They were very helpful and quick to fit him in when he ingested some dynamic lifter . I don’t have pet insurance and their pricing is fair…

We love this Vet. We don’t have a specific vet there we see all the time as we haven’t felt the need to. All the vets have been so friendly and take the time to listen and provide advice. Our dog, following his recent surgery is a little nervous when we go now (wasn’t a fan of his stitches or cone haha) but everyone including the nurses are so patient with him. All costs are really clearly provided to us when we need to make a decision about treatment too - great to understand what we’re paying for!

Dr robin is truly wonderful- he is caring and takes the time to make sure you fully understand what’s going on relating to your pets health. Having to put a pet down during lockdown due to cancer was incredibly upsetting but he made us feel better and knew that our pet was in the safest hands possible for his last day. You can feel that robin truly cares and that being a vet really is his life’s calling He is a Truly caring vet and we will continue to return with new pets in the future. 10/10

I've been taking my pets to Preston Veterinary Clinic since I got my first dog in 2011, DR Robin and his team are incredibly amazing. Their professionalism is beyond doubt and they really care about your pets. People who work there are so nice and kind, have a heart full of passion and love. they are the reason why I'm studying veterinary nursing now, just because I wanted to become a person like them. I trusted them 100%, I will never change to another vet clinic unless I move to another city.

Robin Zelesco was recommended to me almost 12 years ago. He has been our family vet since then. We happily travel approximately 20 km to get to his clinic due to his superior quality veterinarian services. On two occasions Robin has brought our pooch back from the edge of life with genuine high quality care and support. He has always displayed patience, compassion and humble professionalism, putting his patients and their carers first. I would not hesitate to recommend Robin and the clinic.

Been taking my cat here for years now, they provide great care. Early on, they alerted us to issues that hadn't been picked up before. They also have very good rates for boarding a cat (which we use as ours needs to be medicated twice daily). Staff are always friendly & caring. The only downside is that products bought directly from them can be a lot more expensive than from stores, which is understandable. We still buy products new to us they recommend for treatments, as it's convenient.

Always an absolute pleasure to deal with and informative, she puts our dog Sherlock at ease when he visits, which isn't an easy thing to do for most. I highly recommend Preston Veterinary Clinic. Our lil Terrier Reggie recently became very sick and ended up having surgery to remove a foreign object from his intestine. All of the staff there were absolutely amazing and helped both Reggie and us through what was quite a stressful and traumatic time! Reggie got such great care there he loves to go back and visit all the amazing doctors and nurses who saves his life! Your pet is in very good hands here!

I don't think I've ever had a doctor, human or animal, with a better bedside manner than Dr. Robin. It was extremely comforting having him walk us through all of his diagnoses and explain in detail what was happening and why he suggested the treatments he did, and bonus points for him and the fantastic nursing staff treating our kittens with the kind of love we'd only reasonably expect from close friends and family. 10/10 on every scale imaginable.

The passion and enthusiasm robin still holds is admirable. He respects my holistic approach and we work together for the best outcome for my senior dogs, nothing is too much trouble. He explains things very thoroughly with a diagram or a book , he greets and pats my dogs first, which proves he has that personal touch and I am not just money coming through. The nurses are amazing. Patient, efficient and understanding. I'll not go anywhere else.

Highly recommend Preston VET to everyone, Robin was really great at helping my cat after she was hurt by the groomed with a big scab. He cleaned the wound gave medicine and assured myself that she would be fine with daily care. On the spot gave her a vaccine upon request which other VETS usually ask to book in again. Thank you Robin for looking after my cat, really happy with the staff and Robin very professional and friendly :)

Ruby was very anxious coming to the vet, but she had time to calm down in the waiting room. The vet was very professional and experienced and Ruby remained calm during cleaning of her wound and injection. Afterwards she lay down comfortably in her litter tray within her transport container The vet was smart enough not to give her anything too strong as she's an older cat. She's taken well to antibiotic drops.

Dr Robin and the entire team at Preston Vet Clinic are amazing! I started seeing Dr Robin on a referral from a friend and am so glad I listened to their recommendation. He always treats Bonnie so well during consultations, makes her as comfortable as possible and provides very thorough advice. Bon loves all the attention and treats. We have been visiting this vet clinic for nearly 20 years for our family pets. Robin is the most fantastic vet who is kind, compassionate and very knowledgeable about animals. Our youngest dog has a genetic disease, and without Robin's expertise she would not be alive today. Robin goes above and beyond for the wellbeing of animals. I have entrusted the care of my dogs to Dr Rob and his staff for over 10 years and they never disappoint! Dr. Robin, the nursing staff and Dr. Amy have done a great job of looking after our dog since we started visiting over a year ago. Robin helped our dog avoid double knee surgery and he has overseen less urgent issues since. I genuinely think our dog would not be as happy and healthy as she is today without the help of Preston Vet Clinic.

Exceptional service. My dog had a spot under her eye, the consult was very informative and they gave me a price expectation up front. Before the surgery the vet called to talk through blood test results then called me again after the surgery. The day after they called to ask how she was. Amazing aftercare. I've been taking my English Staffordshire Dilla here for a few years now after seeing other vets in the Preston area. Robin always takes the time to explain all procedures and medications, which I appreciate. We also always get great client service and assistance from the nurses and ladies at the front desk.

Dr Robin was amazing. My pet had an allergic reaction in the middle of the night and all the local emergency vets were closed. His after hours number was a life saver, he talked me through it and saved me a long drive into the city searching for help. Highly recommend
