On their website they say free entrance. When you get there you are asked to pay £12 for a 40 pics ‘exhibition’. When asked about the misleading information on the website, the staff member said ‘oh, it must be a mistake’. They have not updated the info on their website since the day the exhibition started, since the 17th of August. Surely in these 10 days someone else must have pointed out the ‘mistake’ but they don’t seem to care. They probably rely on the kindness of people who travel from far away, or make certain plans for the day and feel bad to cancel. What a gimmick of a ‘gallery’!
Person at the front of house was nice but the Queen Will Rock You in 3D exhibition was a big let down. It's mostly just images from the book. It's a tiny venue and several people who worked there were busy getting in the way having an informal meeting because their workspace was in the middle of the exhibition. Then there was someone else who seemed to work there loudly swearing while discussing something with someone else, also standing about just getting in the way. I feel ripped off even though it was only a fiver!
Specialising in mostly limited edition ‘pop-culture’ photographic reproductions of ⭐️’s. A permanent collection displayed in the basement and frequently changing ‘small-scale’ thematic exhibitions in the compact street-level gallery celebrates... ah, well....’celebrity’ Additional curated supporting memorabilia, ephemera and commissioned items ? add extra sheen for avid fans & committed collectors. Fandomania in excelsis.
We visited The Proud Galleries in London to view the Exhibition by Sir Brian May - Stereoscopy Is Good For You- Life in 3D. It was truly amazing and sparked my interest in visual photography and the way in which we view images. It was definitely worth a visit. The Gallery itself was lovely and all the staff were very friendly plus by purchasing tickets we contributed towards The Save Me Trust. Definitely 5 Star!!
Small gallery with a steadily rotating exhibition of music and cultural photography and portraiture. If you like The Rolling Stones, David Bowie, Twiggy and their contemporaries, then you're coming to the right place. Prints are available to buy for reasonable prices. It'll take you no more than 20 minutes to peruse the walls, unless you scrutinise more than average.
Went to see : The Village Green Preservation Society : The Kinks exhibition celebrating 50 years of their classic Album...... situated in a nice quiet street just off the strand it was a Saturday afternoon with just the odd person dropping in from time to time walked around and enjoyed it all without having people getting in my way ..... excellent
Went there to see the Prince Exhibition. Nice little gallery, quiet, not too busy. Free entrance and you can peacefully take your time looking at the pictures on two floors. There is an option to purchase all of the pictures as well as some books and souvernirs on the ground floor. But buying anything is not in any way pushed onto you.
I visited the Proud Central gallery for the Dior Collection exhibition, although I discovered another photography exhibition taking place on the lower ground floor of the gallery. The ‘Sessions in Sound: Photographs by Norman Seeff’ exhibition which I really enjoyed as I’ve seen images that I haven’t seen before.
It is a nice little gallery on Strand. Very modest with a simple white walls. I have visited recently for the first time to see Jane Brown - The Observer, a photo exhibition. Excellent photography and the entry was free. I will definitely keep an eye on any forthcoming events at Proud. Thumb up!
I really enjoyed Vic Reeves' exhibition (Hot Valve Leak) at this small gallery in February 2013. It's quite a small space - just the ground floor and basement - I'd guess less than 100 square metres in total, but well lit, quiet, and the staff were very pleasant.
Amazing gallery, full of all kinds of surprises, eclectic, iconic and down right wonderful photographs... all beautifully presented. and hosted by Javier who is a font of knowledge, fun and pertinent anecdotes. A must if you are in the area,,
Went to see Sir Brian May's Queen in 3D exhibition. What a wonderful gallery. We had a nice welcome and were given a quick run down of what the exhibition was about and where to find everything. I look forward to visiting here again.
Great gallery. Lots of lovely paintings on display and downstairs some really great photos of celebrities of the 60's at very unfordable prices but still great. The gallery is free and the exhibition upstairs is forever changing
Awful company. I never asked to be on their mailing list but they have been sending me unsolicited emails for years. They don't have an unsubscribe button in their emails and refuse to take me of their email list.
A few minutes walk from enbackment tube station this gallery specialisis in photography. They hold themed exerbitions through out the year. Down stairs there are a wide range of photos of rock stars and groups
Went to see the Brian May Stereoscopic exhibition ....well worth a visit. Enjoyable and informative, in a lovely gallery with lovely staff.{and you're helping our Wildlife }
Small gallery in a surprisingly quiet street for its central location next to Charing Cross station. Enjoyed the Steve Parke but I wanted to see more photos of Prince.
Small exhibition space adjacent to Charing Cross Station. Very interesting photos and memorabilia relating to the Kinks and other 60-70s bands and performers.
Lovely Art space tucked away near Embankment. The staff were helpful and our event went down swimmingly with some patrons commenting on the choice of venue
I have visited this free gallery many time for its impeccable photos. The current exhibition in wonderful. The staff is very friendly too. Go and visit.
Lovely little gallery. The stereoscopic photographs by Brian May were quite incredible. Great exhibition not only for Queen fans.
Visited the "Stereoscopy is good for you" exhibition. Very interesting, beautiful pictures. Expect to spend 30–90 minutes there.
Great selection of fine art photography and has some cult images, ask for Javier, he was very helpful, highly recommended !
A small but cozy gallery with lots of photo's on display. At the moment showing Queen in 3D exhibition till 23rd september
went to see the rock star photo exhibition. A small gallery over two floors. Lots of great photos on display.
A piece of rock n roll history. Thanks to Javier and the girl from Leeds for their hospitality.
Unprofessional for a central London 'gallery'. Overpriced work, shabby gallery and rude staff
Small but always has some nice exhibitions on as well as the permanent collection downstairs
Great gallery with some really unique exhibitions. If you're a musoc lover it's a must!
Amazing gallery of rare and unseen rock and pop images from 50s, 60s, 70s, 80s
