I had been a long time customer at the U-HAUL located almost directly across on the other side of the frwy in the 5yrs I had my unit there they have had numerous units broken into mainly the two sections in the building across from Zone D Erotica, I'm thinking because of the crowd the Zone attracts relating to certain types of paraphernalia that is sold at all 24-hour novelty stores, Enough said right ??? My unit was in the very first section that is across from the Zone on one occasion the unit right next to mine had been broken into and everything taken from it it was a constant headache and worry on whether or not mine would be broken into next and although I did not have anything of real monetary value in my unit had someone broken into it the person would not have know that until it was too late they would have ransack my unit taken my belongings and discard them somewhere when they realize they couldn't get nothing for them problem being with that is I have a lot of sentimental things that cannot be replaced and no amount of money could be placed on the value of them just to name a few things items belonging to my nephew that had been hit and killed by a car when he was 17 memorabilia from my animals I had to have put to sleep, the ashes of one of them, if I had lost any of these things I would have been emotionally distraught and it would have been like reliving the moments all over again. In short most times the staff there seemed friendly but they were and are very careless in regards to walking the buildings in the evening to make sure there is no one in there that's not supposed to be and pretty much if somebody is moving in or out an have the doors propped open on the building anyone go in and out of there without them even paying attention or being aware of the fact not to mention the sliding doors on those two sections are old and can be popped open very easily and it does not trip an alarm because then people who have 24-hour access wouldn't be able to get in so both of those sections sliding doors are not hooked to any alarm. I paid extra for 24 hour access many times I have been up there late getting something out of my unit and would notice that their employees had left their Shop-Vac out and various different items and me being thoughtful and trying to keep the things from being stolen because of knowing the crowd that comes around their late at night I would collect their belongings and put them up in my unit usually and give them to them in the morning as I said they're just careless and don't really watch out that being said I ended up being fed up with it when once again latches were cut on units in the same hallway as mine one 6 doors down directly across from mine and the other one on the same side as mine three doors. The very first experience upon coming over to public storage was a overwhelming feeling of such relief due to the staff memberthat runs that facility Miss Barbara. She explained public storage's policies as far as the hours the locks that all buildings are required to have which deters things of that nature that happened at U-Haul and she was very pleasant, helpful and friendly. As well as very on-point with the ins and outs of the facility keeping it in Tip-Top appearance and making sure everything is secure at all times. It is such a relief to know I don't have to worry anymore about my belongings an it has all around been a win-win for me, I no longer have any worries, not to mention my bill is less and the service from Miss Barbara it's always A-1, and can answer any question you may have. And in my opinion she deserves a raise for all her hard work and should be commended for a job always well done !!!

I had a unit here for over a yr. I stored all of my possessions as I was looking for and saving for a house. In april of this yr I went on a 5 week stretch of work where I was only home 2 days. During this time the facilities auto draft system didn't take my payment. They did try to call me, but I wasn't able to answer. And I did choose not to call back the unknown number. When finally back in town I went to my office to check my mail and had a notice from PS. I immediately drove the mile down the hwy to see what had happened. Ends up, just days before they had sold my unit. Now, understand that I am not denying they didn't try to call. And I am not denying that somewhere in the contract it's probably written that they can sell the unit if payment is missed, regardless of the reason. But here is what disappoints me: I am disappointed in the customer service. My address was as I said a mile from the facility. They knew they were going to sell the unit, just drive up there and warn me/someone. I brought this to their attention and they said it not their policy. I'm not denying that it's not but United Airlines also has a policy about booting people from their seats... All I got from anyone was a dismissive attitude and "sorry we can't do anything." The lot attendant gave me the district managers number and I called her. Her voice mail says she checks it twice a day and will get back soon. I left a vm and didn't receive a call back for a week (I called 2 other times in that week also). What's ironic is that she was busy (just as I was during my 5 week travel stretch for work where I missed their call). She was not helpful at all, atleast not in making me feel like someone would try to help me recover my things. I learned that they know who the buyers are of course. And this buyer is a regular apparently. I just wanted someone to call them and ask if I could atleast have the items that can't be sold back. She said she would reach out to them and get back with me. She never got back with me. I even called and left messages again. It's these subtle yet profound acts of customer service, or lack thereof, that disappoint me most. Policy or not they could have driven to the address, they could have attempted the payment again, they could have texted me, they could have tried harder to get my life's possessions back. I lost my possessions just like many reading this did in the flood. It feels that way. They sold the unit for $1200 btw, also sickening. Don't use public storage.

Definitely DO NOT recommend. Had customer service issue the day we went to put on our lock. we put our vacate notice a day later the lady called to confirm the vacate procedures, a day or two later she calls and says corporate approved her to repair the issue in the unit that was assigned to us. Everything could have been avoided if she would have placed her phone down and address my issue accordingly. After speaking with customer service and other public storage locations the way we were responded to was incorrect and should have been handled differently . A complaint was placed with customer service and less then 5 min after it was placed the lady the complaint was made against called and was confrontational asking why we placed the complaint then ended her conversation with it's ok i have you on camera!! Good so they could see your response to something so simple. Never moved in, have been waiting on a call from the regional manager for several days and have been told several times I should be getting a call. From the other reviews i read this lady must have been having a bad day because we definitely did NOT receive the same customer service others have!

First of all the service level of this company on all ends is outstanding. Not only did I have a wonderful rescuing experience , but each time I go in there I witness that with all the other customers. When I called on the phone to Ricky Wilson I was very annoyed by what had just happened at you Uhaul. I verified my reservation the day before and I get in there and the lady says she can’t find it and then proceeds to show me storage units at a different prices than I was quoted so I told her let me pay for these boxes and tape and I will get back to her. I stepped outside and called public storage. I got Ricky on the phone and he asked me a few questions and then got me-in direct contact with Katie Horn at the Kingwood location who was very consistent to what Ricky quoted she said to come on in and she took care of me which Had no hidden fees or problems. I had a very busy day and they both helped it to go much better and for that I appreciate them and public storage services

This is my first time renting a storage unit and Galdys was more than helpful. She provided the needed information for me to make a decision. She was helpful on arrival to store my items. She was inviting and had a smile that engaged in conversation. My only issue is with the policy of public storage - When I signed the contract for the unit I was informed that I would need to pay renter's insurance which was an additional charge not previously indicated when inquiring about the property and monthly rates. I provided Gladys with a copy of my homeowner's policy indicating I had coverage off site and she reversed the additional charges. My suggestion for Public storage corporate policy is that all expected fees (including the renter's insurance) be discussed up front. Additionally the rates change from day to day and the rates quoted the evening before are not necessarily the rates honored the next morning.

I should have edited this review a year ago, after my initial positive review. Basically, our unit here was robbed, even though it was inside a building with a code and had a padlock. We had the “orange” insurance but the claim there was no proof of forced entry....a new padlock was put on our unit. No cameras in there either, and no help in determining who may have cut off our lick, stolen our property and put on a new lick. We filed a police report and moved all of our remaining things that very day. No follow up call or even the slightest acknowledgment of our loss from management. We will never use Public storage again! Barbara was professional and friendly. She explained how to use the codes and gave us a ride to the unit. Then, when we didn't follow the process for the gate and called her, she patiently re-explained. Nice person, secure and clean unit.

Hello, My name is Mrs. Wanda, I have used Public Storage in the pass to store overflow from my home I believe this is the best storage facility in the world!! However, since leasing a unit from Mrs. Barbara at the facility on 59 North in Kingwood I am convinced. Her customer service skills are be applauded a million times above and beyond the call of duty. Not only was she attentive and courteous but extremely professional. She had an immediate answer to every question I posed, she was quick when processing the lease and customer oriented. Her concern was directed towards my every need. Also the the property is always neat and clean!! Thank you "Public Storage" for Mrs. Barbara being at that particular location. I have recommended friends and family to use this facility because of Mrs. Barbara's expertise!!

When you drive away from a business talking about how much you loved the lady behind the desk, you think to share it with the world and corporate. Barbara was absolutely perfect! My things have been in storage with the facility for several years now and I can honestly say, that I love Public Storage and I love Ms. Barbara. She has been extremely helpful whenever I had issues or concerns. My belongings have held up nicely over the years. Furniture, photos, clothes, shoes, purses etc., have all remained in tip top shape. Even after moving my belongings out, Ms. B was able to help me get rid of a washer and dryer that I no longer wanted. If you’re looking for a place to store your items in the Humble/Kingwood area, look no further. You will not regret it.

The lady that helped me Traci (Kingwood,Tx. location) was awesome. She went out of her way to make sure i picked out the perfect unit that would fit my needs. Being a first time storage renter i had plenty of questions and she took her time and answered each one thoroughly. She explained the paperwork and when i left there it was a little after closing time but i didn't feel rushed to leave. After this experience i know i chose the right storage facility for me . We have had a unit at this Public Storage for two years+ and Miss Barbara takes good care of us! Our unit is watched over and we have never had anyone tamper with it. It is a safe area to visit to get things out of the unit and she lives onsite. The unit is well insulated and the temperature of the unit has kept our belongings from heat damage. The staff is always friendly and accommodating. I highly recommend storing your valuable possessions with Public Storage of Kingwood, TX!!!

I have not had the greatest experience with this location since the lady who was there about 3 years ago left. I've had nothing but problems with rats getting into my unit x2 already and destroying pretty much everything I own. I do have insurance aleady put a claim in and fingers crossed that they do something about it. I am disgusted and livid. I'm sharing a few pics and this isn't the beginning. I don't want anyone else to go through this.

Lisa provided exceptional customer service, was friendly and helpful, and made us feel very welcome. She was patient while she showed us 3 different sized units to help figure out our exact needs. She was efficient and polite, explained all the details to us, and even came to check on us a couple of hours later and offered us a different kind of dolly from the ones we had to move our VERY heavy wood furniture. She couldn't have done a better job!

I went in to look at unit with my boyfriend. I was aided by Lisa she was very knowledgeable, and helpful. I didn't want to be rude but my boyfriend has an anxiety disorder, she made him very uncomfortable when she stepped around the counter as we talked. I think your company should take people like my boyfriend into consideration. I love public storage, I loved Lisa but I would really like it if you guys respected people's personal space.

I can in to rent a space Lisa took me out to see the unit. She showed me two unit because i wasn't sure of size. When we got back in office she offered me merchandise. There were a couple of people waiting. Barbara was on the computer helping others person. So Lisa told her the unit I wanted and the damp check. The Lisa took the other person to show them there unit. Barbara and Lisa are like the Jordan and Pippen of public storage.

Katie made my time needing storage an absolute breeze. Move in was easy and move out was even easier. The unit was clean and exactly what i needed. Any time I had questions the phone was always answered quickly. She went above and beyond for me which was such a relief. Moving on your own is so tough as it is. She was understanding the whole time and really made this the company I will use in the future if I need it again.

Gladys was very helpful. She tried to get my storage room payment lowered since I’ve been here since 2015 and have been a good customer but y’all refused so she’s trying to help me find us another unit not climbing ties that I can afford and I will be calling her back to see if there was an opening for one. She was very helpful and very sweet and nice. I’m glad you have people like Gladys working for you oh thank you OK

I've been with this particular Kingwood location with Public Storage since 2008... Although as of today, Dec 2017... I have completely moved out of my unit... I must truly thank such a AWESOME manager, Ms. Barbara... and her AMAZING staff... especially Lisa... for ALL their professionalism, courtesy and kindness they've shown throughout the years... have a blessed Christmas and a prosperous New Year...

Ms.Dee made my terrible moving day so much better. When I came another tenant had mistakenly moved into my unit and instead of just throwing her hands up because the system was down & she couldn’t do anything on her end she help me get it situated and she was the only person today that was concerned with helping the customer!! I went in just to pay a bill and wow did I have the experience of of a lifetime! Ms. Gladys was so nice and professional she was so kind and really seems to enjoy her job, her customer service was through the roof! Service was horrible!!! We got there the door was locked and there was a sign on the door that said will be back at 4:30pm. Someone finally came to the door at 4:40pm and was very rude. She asked what I needed and I told her I made a reservation online but I was a day early. She stated she didn't have any appointments today and assisted the next customer.

Had a great experience here. Easily made my reservation online, and was called back very quickly to set up my appointment. When I went in to get my unit, Rossaland was great. Very thorough and efficient. The process was very quick, and she went through every step clearly. She had a very welcoming and friendly demeanor. I'm glad I chose this location.

When I reserve the unit online, I just looked forward to paying and move in. Early the next morning, Ms Rosaland gave me a call to welcome me aboard. I decided to go in a pay instead of online. Glad I did, Ms Rosaland help me through out the process. She walked the facility with me and was very pleasant. Thank mam, for the great Customer Service.

My experience with public storage was great. Ms. B was very helpful. She showed me the size I may need and also the next size larger because I was not really sure of the space. I was coming out to look at a unit and there was one specific lady who was very nice her name was Tamara unfortunately there was no unit that was right for me but Tamara needs to be recognized because she is one of the nicest people I’ve ever met she was patient and very polite and we need more employees like her.

I needed a storage. I came in I didn’t know what size I needed. So Lisa took me out to show me some units. Lisa is great but I had to walk. After seeing two unit I couldn’t walk anymore. I have problems with my legs. Like I said Lisa is GREAT but public storage need to get a golf cart for the customers.

I have never stored my belongings before but Lisa was awesome! She patiently took me through the process and answered any questions that I had about the facility. The personal service provided by the, Public Storage complex, was fully appreciative & entirely helpful. Assistance that was given from *the one-of-a-kind employee Mrs.Barabra; at the offices front desk, is above & beyond, making "a small stop" for the day an enjoyably comfortable one.

My storage unit was robbed. I took the rest of my stuff out. The month did not finish and I paid my whole month. The public storage took me out of the system and took my unit, they told me that they took me out because I took my stuff and left the unit unlocked. Poor security system.

I stopped in to get information about using this facility and Lisa was so friendly and helpful. She had answers to all my questions and she offered information I hadn't thought of. Good customer service does get customers. It's not always about the best price. I will be back.

Be AWARE. They just got a new system using an ipad do all the transactions. It took me almost an hour to go through the entire process. I reserved a space with the promotion online and their system could not find it . Make sure you have plenty of time and patience .

Easy access, discount pricing was for every month ( not just for the first month) I was only going to give 4 Star's , But Terry was great not only on the phone but in the office and on the property, because of her hands on skills with customers I gave 5 stars.

This is a very nice property and the staff there is very good BUT my rental rate has gone up from $138 to $200 in 2 1/2 years. My income surely has not gone up by a similar amount in the same period. I think they are really stuffing the Customers on the rent.

The climate controlled units are not really cool and the mice are terrible. Recently, the climate controlled air is broken in our unit. So we're paying for it but not receiving it. I've been back all week and it's still broken. My items are getting ruined.

We were initially very unhappy with this location, rats and lack of functioning climate control. We had several things mildew in the climate control unit. When Deedee came in board she has been incredibly helpful and super friendly. I give her 5 stars.

Even after closing, Barbra was kind enough to help me out with my next month payment! This was my mistake thinking they closed at 9, and she was still willing to help while closing up!!! Amazing customer service!!!! Will always use public storage!!!!!
