Covid took my job, I'm the sole wage earner for my family, and I had to move out of state to obtain work. I knew where my work would be but had no idea where we would live. While I stayed in hotels, my storage unit gave me a sense of having a foundation here. It started with a same day, Sunday online experience that was flawless. Find a space; get feedback immediately. I drove 6 hours on Sundays to arrive for work and 6 hours on Friday night to return home. I needed efficiency and reliability. This Public Storage team provided that for me, especially Rafael M. He was waiting for me that first day, and he checked me in and showed me the process for securing my family's belongings. He was kind and welcoming, and he and the team followed health protocols to the letter. I felt safe each time I visited. I cannot find enough stars to recommend this team highly enough. Thank you for the warm welcome and excellent service.

Ive been renting this storage for 4 years. $120 a month and my debit card expires. I'm notified the following month that i owe 2 months worth. The same week I'm notified i go down there to clear my 2 items out of storage and they forbid me to come in untill the balance is paid. i moved to the central coast 2 years ago. Apparently, 4 years of no late payment means nothing because they put my stuff on lean and were going to open up my locker on top of tacking on additional chargers in order to take my stuff out. That is horsesh*t, no loyalty. they only want your money and no nothing about customer care. Needless to say, i cleared my storage and will never do business with them again! Run Now! They're salvages only out for your money!

Amazing place to store your special belongings ! This is the first time I have had to rent a storage unit as I am currently moving from my home but have not found a new one. Michael has been helping me from the beginning and has guided me through the process as well as shown me the units that would fit my need. I definitely have to recommend you speak with Michael if you need any assistance or have any questions as he has been more than welcoming and informative in this whole process. Moving and looking where to store your belongings is stressful as it is so I definitely thank Michael for his knowledge and his help throughout the whole thing ! Two words: Customer Service! I walked in without an appointment 20 minutes before closing and Gerardo and Dawna went above and beyond in helping me obtain a storage unit! I was in a hurry and they kept this in mind the entire time while helping me which is what I appreciated the most. They gave me a tour of the premises and I felt secure in the fact that my possessions would be safe from observing the various security measures that have been put in place. The unit they showed me was clean and move-in ready and they had the exact unit size that I wanted. I told them what I wanted and they were straight to the point on everything from pricing to insurance. Thank you again Dawna and Gerardo you guys are awesome!

First of all I'd like to start by saying that good Customer Service is very hard to find these days. That being said, Gerado, Dawna and Gabe were excellent during my visits to this store. They greeted me with a smile and made me feel very welcome upon arrival. On one of the hottest days of the summer Gerardo showed me my storage unit that I had reserved on line with a smile and a great attitude . He was thorough in giving me all the details that I would need upon entering and exiting the property. I returned the day after to purchase product for my move and Dawna's Customer Service was just as amazing. Thank you so much for hiring Associates that care about the customer and that love doing their jobs !!

This facility is A GEM and I am VERY IMPRESSED! The office, units, elevator bank, and grounds are all very clean and well maintained and I am confident that my items are safe within the secure grounds. Equally important is the great customer service I have received from both Rafael and Michael - they paid attention to detail, made sure I was well acclimated with the property, and outlined everything I would need to know in an easy to understand way. Seriously, they could teach lessons on customer care. An added bonus is the appropriate safety measures they are taking during COVID-19. I *highly* recommend this location, Rafael, and his team!

Even though I am a long term renter my rent increased 67%, from $155 to $259 per month, in less than 3 years. My first increase of 10% was within six months of my move in date, however my last notice informed me my rent will go up a whopping 37%, from $188 to $259 per month since my last increase six months ago!!! You would think they would give long term renters a break so BEWARE, once you are in they think you won't move out so they can and will significantly raise your rate. If you ask for an adjustment they will tell you it is out of their control, the "system" makes the changes.

First time I arrived at public storage, Rafael helped me and took the time to show me to my storage unit and gave me helpful tips on the easiest ways to store my stuff. (Elevators, back door, parking, keypad, dollies, etc) I came back again the next week and he attended me and helped me change my storage unit because I needed a bigger space. He walked me and my husband to our new storage unit and again gave us tips on how to store our stuff so that we can fit more things. He is so sweet, funny, and kind. Hes also very clean making sure the place is clean. Thank you Rafael!!!

Based on my career I am someone who have used storage facilities in the past. However, I've only been with Public Storage for about 10 months and in all that time prior to coming to PS I've aways wondered where was Customer Service, Helpful People and Excellent Service and to my surprise its been stored at "Public Storage!". The Area Manager is exceptional, the Location Manager is exceptional, as well as the entire staff. These people have excellent skills in hiring the right people if,...you're looking for the RIGHT service!!!

The entire experience was very easy and the staff was great. Laura and Linda each helped us through the entire process, all the paperwork (all paperless actually) - they were very professional, courteous, knowledgeable, and very helpful. We were walked through the location, made aware of all the contingencies and answered all our questions . They couldn’t have been nicer or more helpful, I highly recommend this location and its services. The location was clean ,private, had new facilities, we’d go nowhere else .

Rafael was very courteous and helpful. I was constantly in and out of our unit after dark while we were moving. If Rafael was there during those times he would come by to make sure I was ok and everything was going well. In addition, I had been in a hurry one evening and left my unit open. Rafael made sure to close it up and contact me. After that occasion he was kind enough to double check my unit whenever he had noticed I had been there and left. Thank you very much, Rafael. I highly recommend this location.

Been calling for DAYS! My unit was locked due to falling behind on some bills finally paid went to get it unlocked nobody in the office waited an hour still no one and no one answering the phone called all day and nothing and I have not been able to gain access since last week no one answers today called over and over again just to be told I was a lair that I never called lol get it together! Don’t think o was asking for to much just for someone to be in the office when it says it’s supposed to be open

The customer service in this facility is truly amazing! I had rented a unit a week ago and still had several questions and concerns in mind keeping me unsettled. I like to hear answers from people face to face to reassure myself, and Maria (who helped me before) helped do just that! I felt bad I kept bugging her and questioning her answers but she was nothing but compassionate and assuring. I even came back with a gift card to show my appreciation. Looking forward to coming back here.

The manager was nice, but (according to her) her bosses 'make' her do stuff like this: You are required to buy insurance from us (not true, and in the end I didn't), Here is a 10x10 unit (the first one was actually 9x9, 20% smaller, but I held out until she offered me a full 10x10 unit), PLEASE buy some packing supplies, if your disabled mother-in-law can't come in to sign personally then we won't honor the online reservation you made (but she eventually did after making a call)...

A total rip off.....be prepared to be nickle and dime to death and your rent to be raised the minute that they are able to. I can't believe that is legal to charge all of the various fines or fees that this company does if you are late on your rent. I wish I would have done a little research on this company before renting from them, as they have plenty of angry former customers online. I would not recommend this place to anyone, they are absolutely the worst.

Fred and the other employees have been outstanding. Any questions that I had they answered. When I first needed a unit they were so understanding and gave me all the information I needed. They went over leasing agreement, showed me where my unit was, explained basically how to do everything (since I was a newbie). Every time I go they always have smiles on their faces and are willing to assist in any way possible! Love this storage facility!!!

I have been a client of this property long before Public Storage took it over a year or so ago. Recently I reconfigured the attic of my home making an outside storage unit unnecessary, but I couldn't leave without telling the guys, Rafel and Eric, what a great job they are doing. The property is well-maintained inside and out, and staff is always polite and professional and it is really a safe place to store your "stuff".

Great and friendly staff. Facility is clean, well taken care of and secure. We had a problem with our lock and not only did we get great service to fix it this morning, they actually explained to us what happened and how they fixed the problem. The two guys here are always nice and welcoming (I don't know their names but one is asian and one is hispanic) and the manager is very knowledgeable as well!

The employees Maria and Rafael have always been extremely helpful and kind.Most other storage spaces are not as clean and well kept as this one. It's not that close to my location but definitely worth the ease and calmness. I wish the hours were a little more flexible for people who work daily but it is what it is. Appreciate the help with finding my unit and explanation on how the process goes.

I made sure to have all of our stuff out of our storage by the 9.30.16 to avoid paying any prorated charges. But because I didn't "close" out my account with the final walk through on the 30th, they charged us a prorated charge of $19.81for closing it out on 10.1.16. It's not the money it's the principal...the storage unit was EMPTY!! I'll make sure that this review is all over social media :)

Best customer service I've experienced in a very long time! The wonderful lady at the counter "amanda" was extremely knowledgeable as well as polite. She answered all my questions i had as well as made me feel confident in chosing the right unit. Amanda definitely made the entire process easy. If you want to experience superb customer service, amanda is the one you want! Highly recommend!

I decided to book a unit online and within 10 minutes I got a call from Rocio verifying everything. I went to the facility and was greeted by Amanda who assisted me with showing me my storage unit and filling out the paperwork. She was very helpful and did a double check of moving supplies that I might need. The facility was easy to get to, tidy, and seems very secure.

Erik from Public Storage has always been so polite and very respectful when I had any questions or concerns regarding my payments. I have to say that this is the only storage place that has been so concerned about my well being, even while being late on a payment, they understood and worked with me. I recommend Public Storage in Sylmar, CA on Foothill to all.

Made an appointment yesterday and wasn't able to make it. I wasn't never presented with any problems or hassle and all of my needs and accommodations were met. The reps made sure I was given all of the best offers that could be provided and made a difficult part of my moving process a breeze. Great service by phone and in office. Would recommend to friends.

This facility has always been clean. The employees have always been super helpful and nice as well. It's a bit out of the way from central LA but that slight in convenience is totally worth it for the staff and ease and use of the facility. I wish it were open later on weekends and weekdays but that's whatever and the hours across almost any storage place.

The customer service is great, the facility is clean and convenient. I've been using it for 5 months now and I've never gave them any trouble, paid my account 270.00 on time if not early yet i get an email saying my rates are going up to 321.00!! I mean really?! THAT IS RIDICULOUS!! Guess I'll be leaving real soon, I'm not paying 321.00 if i can help it.

I came in over the weekend, and I was lucky enough to have Gerardo help me out. It seemed like he went above and beyond to help me with my issues. He did everything from start to finish "5stars" (at one point i almost thought he was goint to help me move my things... "wishful thinking"... lol) Super cool kat. The customer service here is less than excellent! I wasn’t sure on the amount space I would need. I ask the lady if she could show me a medium size unit . She was very hesitant on showing the space.. she was very unfriendly & rude. When someone comes to spend money with a company ....at the least they should receive excellent customer service.

I have a real problem with this location. It is a site my work uses. But there is only 1 bathroom, in the main office, and each of the 4 times I've been at the site, for some period of time, the office was closed, with a sign saying "Will return at..". I've never had a storage unit without an accessible bathroom, I think this is a major issue.

My issues was resolved by super Fred and Super Girl Laura. These folks where amazing if there is higher scale of review of 1 to 10 both public storage employees went beyond the call of their duty. I recommend for potential customers to get their unit from this location. Supervisor Claire was wonderful handling my entire wonderful experience.

Had to find storage the day I moved from Northern Ca,, and with one call to Lidya, all stress was relieved. She spent the time to give me all the details to make it easy to choose an appropriate space. After getting moved in, Vanessa and Rocio have been a delight to help me whenever I needed it. Truly, it's been a good experience, overall!

Went in yesterday and purchased some boxes from Laura and arnel , Laura really helped me out with finding the right boxes that I needed , really EXCELLENT Service from both mangers , missed The manager Isaiah yesterday who helped us out previously but overall great staff and team at this location I highly recommend the visit ! Walked into this PS to buy a few things to move my home office into my new office. Loved how everything was organized and prices were labeled. I was greeted by Alex and after asking him a few questions he knew exactly what I needed and how many boxes I would need. Kind of amazing! Thanks Alex! (And public storage of course)

Over the weekened I went to the facility to transfer to a smaller unit I called before arriving. When I arrived Brenda was ready to help me and based on the conversation we had earlier she knew exactly why I was there. The transfer was quick and easy. She really gave me helpful tips and the overall experience was great.

Rocio and Vanessa were outstanding in helping and my family as we transition to another state. I have worked in sales and customer service for the last 18 years and they are the epidimy of what service is suppose to be. I will only use Public Storage in Sylmar because of these 2 young ladies! I am a first time storage renter and i gotta say the man working there, Austin, was very kind and funny man! He helped make the process easy smooth and painless as possible and explained everything thoroughly. Definitly a cool yet professional guy. Prices werent bad either. I would definitely recommend this place.

I had an online reservation , but there was a miscommunication so I lost that reservation when I went to the site yesterday. the on-site manager Rafael patiently helped me restored the reservation. I’m very happy about his service. I definitely recommend to use public storage when you need an extra space.

Clean, organized, simple presentation. Can conveniently buy boxes and moving supplies at reasonable prices. My 10x15 unit is nice and easy to access and operate. Good security. The only improvement I could suggest is to keep gate access open later. Otherwise I can't think of anything to improve.

The employees here are awesome. Yes, sometimes I'm late by a few days. Yes, I pay my late fees. But always the employees here are helpful with everything and very friendly too. Remember, you can't complain your stuff is "locked up" if you don't pay your bill!!

If I would have known of all the hidden fees , I never would have come here. Quoted $23 online for the first month, but wound up having to pay $61. The people were nice, but they should be up front about the costs.
