If I could give 0 stars for Public Storage, I would. I was a customer of this facility for almost 20yrs and for the past 3yrs, there was no light in my unit as when the electrical was redone in the facility, my storage locker was forgotten. It's impossible to see into the storage locker without a light. I asked, every month, for 3yrs to have the light installed and for 3yrs, I was given excuse after excuse as to why it wasn't installed but each time was told not to worry, they'll fix it thru the District Manager and obviously that was a lie as whomever the District Manager is, he just didn't care. Calling the 800 number didn't help, I was given a small credit in the rent but was told only the District Manager could order the electrical fix needed for my unit. When Public Storage sent me a letter telling me they were raising the rent to $700 a month for a 10x15 unit, I knew we had to vacate. Had it not been for Dave, the recently new Property Manager, who said upon coming on board, don't worry, I'll have this problem immediately fixed and did a follow-up to make sure it was, we'd be still stuck there. Dave the Property Mgr had it fixed within a few days and we could finally see into the locker ... Dave is amazing... Helpful, caring, nice, professional and the only employee of Public Storage who cares! Public Storage customer service is lower that sub-par. I DO NOT RECOMMEND USING ANY PUBLIC STORAGE FACILITY AS THIS COMPANY ONLY CARES ABOUT $ AND COULD CARE LESS ABOUT THEIR CUSTOMERS!

I'd rented at this location for a few years when I lived in the neighborhood and was very happy with the cleanliness and knowledge that my items were safe from both two and four legged beings. Lol In the past when I moved in it was seamless, as well as when I ended the lease, and I knew that if I were ever in need of storage in the future I'd be returning here. I recently found myself in need of another unit and contacted them and went to look at the space. Just as in the past I was more than satisfied with the way the property is kept. I should mention that I no longer live in that area, but it's worth the trip knowing my belongings are safe! I checked the unit and was happy with it so I signed and paid. I returned a few days later after hours with a truck full of my belongings not realizing that gate access stopped at 6pm. The manager was kind enough to open the gate and allow me to park the truck on the premises. She even gave me a lock for the truck to keep my things safe. I returned bright and early the next morning with a few friends to help me and got everything unloaded and in the unit in less than an hour. I saw the manager as I was leaving and tried to return the lock to her but she told me that someone donated it and that I could keep it. What kindness! As long as I need storage and am living in this city I will always return to this location!!!

This is not a review of Public Storage, or even of this particular PS location. Rather, it’s an acknowledgement of the superb job the current on-site manager (Paola) is doing. I’ve been a customer at this location for over 25 years. I’ve had pleasant relationships with the various on-site managers, but only twice would I characterize those relationships as consisting of genuine fondness: A lovely couple of Indian descent some years ago, and Paola, the current manager. Paola has the qualities one would wish for in a property manager—she’s diligent, reliable, knowledgeable, courteous, and she takes good care of the property. (Toss in brave, clean, and reverent, and it would almost be the Boy Scout law.) But beyond those essentials, Paola is charming, engaging, and importantly, cheerfully patient with the customers. I don’t want to turn her into a tourist attraction, nor do I wish to subject her to the pressure of unrealistic expectations, so I’ll close by simply noting that I very much enjoy my brief interactions with her when I’m at the property, and if I’m away for awhile, I like to check in with her by phone just to stay in touch and know how she’s doing. I’ve heard from other customers who feel much the same way. Paolo is terrific, and Public Storage is fortunate to have her representing the company.

I WISH I COULD GIVE ZERO STARS! This is the worst storage facility to do business with . I have already left a review and will continue to do so every week because wow. I have had my things here for 8 MONTHS! so clearly i am in a situation where I need to leave them there. And Lord knows I wish I wasn't in a position where I had to choose quickly because it was that type of situation. Keep in mind , 8 months I have been here, now this month for some reason (not to mention they raised our rent $100 after 3 months with no warning so another scam) first within the grace period i get a call, a text and an email letting me know i'm late. Then one day after my grace period, they threaten me with a lien. Then after leaving a review about that, get threatened with a lien charge. Robbery!!! And it's dirty there and about 90 degrees every time we go. Never any carts EVER and I'm on the second floor. DO NOT RECOMMEND. At this point it seems like someone who works there is being petty and threatening me with all of these things because I kindly asked them to stop emailing. texting and calling in one week about the same thing. They treat you like a second class citizen and hang your belonging over your head to get more money.

So far the move in experience has been great. After signing up online, Paola called to confirm the reservation and made an appointment for me to come see the space available. The space perfectly suited my needs and we reserved it for the following week. Both Paola and Mike have been extremely helpful with the whole process, friendly and positive as well as knowledgeable. However, Mike gets my person of the year award for finding a piece of my necklace I lost the day before. I never expected to see it again, I had no idea when or where I could have lost it, but when I asked him to please let me know if someone found it, he told me he saw something in the parking lot that morning. He went out and found it. It was very sentimental to me, and I think his quickness and alertness that allowed him to spot something "out of the ordinary" and recall exactly where, indicates the staff at this Public Storage are exceptional and capable managers. Thank you both Mike and Paola!

Good location. Great customer service from Paola. My mom really loved her. Paola's the reason this rating is a 3 and not lower stars. Place is overpriced; when I found out my mom had a storage that she paid $200/month for, it made me sick to my stomach. What made it worse was when I saw how small it was for the price. The one I had for a couple of months in Orange County at Cube Smart was only $75/month and it was a bigger storage space (and was a month-to-month agreement). In addition, you have to get out of the car to enter the code to get in and out of the place. Placement of where you can enter the code doesn't make sense unlike other storages where you can drive up and you can enter in your code from the driver's seat. Either way, I'm glad we got everything out of the storage before another month passed. No more storage for my mom as minimizing is the best thing for everyone involved.

WONDERFUL. ACTUALLY HELPFUL. HIGHLY RECOMMEND. I don't really write reviews, but here we go: Shoutouts to the onsite crew James (and property manager Paola) We had our stuff in a 10x10 for 16 months. Opened it back up and everything was exactly as we left it. But that's not what this review is really about. Moving is always a nightmare. Between flights, rental cars, and moving companies – everything was difficult. I was about to lose it. The shining light? The most helpful and flexible? James and Paola at Public Storage at 5410 Vineland Ave. Movers called last minute to change to a super late after-hours delivery? James helped. They tripping the alarms? Paola helped. They stayed up late and solved every issue that cropped up. I even tried to tip and they refused. So here is my tip for you – use Public Storage, and say hi to James for me. Wow that last line was cringe but I meant it

Wow. Lidiya actually made moving fun! She provided a professional and speedy experience at this Public Storage location and at the same time made sure all the details were properly described and understood. It was a Sunday and it was very busy.. Lidiya had people coming at her from everywhere and was multi tasking like a boss.. and all with a very pleasant attitude and sense of urgency for each customer. She displayed such a high level of patience getting people properly into the elevator and up to their unit. Loved the entire experience! Definitely the highest recommendation! Thank you Lidiya and Public Storage! Update: Moved everything out and Paola the manager at this location could not have made it easier! She was so helpful and awesome to work with... seriously great location here! 5 Stars. The best. Thank you so much for everything!

These guys are super stars. Seriously. I mean the units themselves are great enough, but the customer service is top notch! When I dropped the keys to my unit down an elevator shaft Paola and Andrew went way above and beyond to find me a temporary solution as the keys were being recovered. Was absolutely blown away by how much they did to help me out in a pinch. Good customer service is hard to find these days, so I'm glad this location is still providing such a service. Update: Recently moved out of Public Storage, and again have to say that Paola really helped me out. Due to unforseen circumstances in the last week, I missed my official check-out by a day. Paola was understanding, and made sure I wasn't charged the extra month. Good customer service goes a long way!

Paola's customer service skills are beyond exceptional, Not only did she answer all my questions but she was also very helpful in every way possible. Not only is she very kind but she's also very professional about her job. Her customer service skills and professionalism are the #1 reason why I chose this place. Honestly I wish I could give Paola 10 stars!! but unfortunately yelp only allows 5. Thank you Paola for your exceptional customer service, I will definitely be recommending friends over to this location as soon as possible because of you! Freedom. Freedom from the grips of public storage and paying someone else’s mortgage for the past seven years. However the superintendence and on-site managers have been incredible and super helpful. Most currently is David, Who has been super helpful at ensuring I knew what I needed to know about my unit when I fell behind. Before that was Paula and she was outstanding and super helpful as well. Can’t be mad at Public Storage, they raise their rates they tell you that they notified you, and they do on demand pricing which sucks. What can you do. Good thing great people work at these sites or else it would be swallowing poison each time I came here. Thanks David for all your help.

My entire unit rental and check-in process was professional and efficient. While I don't think that anyone is ever eager to go through the stressful, seemingly never-ending checklist of things necessary when having to moving, Dina made it as easy as possible to check "find a storage unit" off my list. She was thorough and informative, which allowed me to complete the entire "check-in" paperwork and unit tour in under 30 minutes. I do recommend completing the online express check-in form sometime before your scheduled move-in date, as it does allow for a smoother process on the day. Overall, no complaints, and thankfully one more thing checked off my list.

I had a very good experience at this location. I had storage here with my husband & they made it so stress free & easy to maneuver everything. Dina was very helpful in helping my husband find a good storage for us. Another employee Andrew also came by to walk us personally to where our storage unit was when we got lost & even offered to help open our unit and close it when I explained my husband’s back issue. It was just a very environmentally friendly, helpful & safe area to store in. Recommended. A+++

I’ve stored at this location in the past, once I moved back I chose this location once again for none other then star Property Manager Paola. She did it again. Delivered top tier customer service, being so knowledgeable about all the ins and out of the company she answered all of my questions I had for her and is so efficient in everything. I came to return an item I had bought. Ruby and Paola greeted me with warm smiles. In the middle of the process I started to get mad because they couldn't return my item since my receipt was past due over 40 days. My out of state move has been postponed having me to look for a storage. I called on and spoke to several public storages in the North Hollywood and Studio City area, but this location was the best by far! Paola is very nice and friendly the best customer service from everyone I spoke too. Even though another PS was cheaper than this one I choose this location because of Paola's exceptional customer service.
