EDIT DUE TO RESPONSE: What a cop out! And again embarrassing apologies. Of course the AC was fine for the next guests, I was sent a text msg to say you had fixed it after check out! As for the return of my money, it was just a coincidence was it? that it was back in my account immediately after a phone call on a Sunday.. it had absolutely nothing to do with my bank, I work for a bank! And the phone call was not answered at all not “promptly” .Stop making excuses due to a poorly run hotel. You should not be a manager, I will be taking this further! Never stay at this hotel!! I stayed here recently for a concert in the middle of a heat wave (45 degrees ) and paid $530 for no AC. We called the after hours number after we got back from the concert (10pm) to see if this could be fixed no one answered. So I had to stay on the balcony as it was cooler outside, tried also having a cold shower no face washers provided! (Keep in mind I’m pregnant) Also when checking in I was told it would take 5 days for the pre authorisation to be returned ( that’s fine) however when day 7 rolled around and still not back in my account I called the hotel ( It was a Sunday) to be told by the receptionist Gabrielle that it takes 10-14 days and being a weekend banks don’t clear on weekends. Frustrated beyond belief I hung up waited a 5 minutes and checked my account again, low and behold you wouldn’t believe it the money was put straight back in my account. On a Sunday!! No compensation offered just empty apologies.

For the price of $368 we are extremely disappointed and unhappy with our stay at Punthill Parramatta. Firstly we arrived for check in at 5.20pm and were told “I’ll have to check if your room is ready with housekeeping”. They were apparently moving in new furniture which is fine but this was the first we were hearing of it. A heads up text or email takes no time. Check in stated 2pm so imagine if we arrived at 2pm to be told you can check in until after 5.30pm? We then got a text at 5.40pm saying it was ready, that only left us 20 mins to get ready for a 6pm dinner reservation. Secondly when we entered our room it was below average in cleanliness. You’ll find attached pictures. Clearly housekeeping did a quick 20 minute clean between 5.20pm and 5.40pm. Our room obviously wasn’t ready furniture & housekeeping wise. Thirdly, my partner & I had to share a towel as there was only one. There was one bath matt, one hand towel, one face washer which is fine but one towel is unacceptable. We only noticed this at 10pm once home from dinner & reception was empty upon arrival home. You’d look past all this if we’d paid $150 to stay here but $368? You’ve got to be joking. Haven’t heard anything from the hotel after emailing after check out on 16/7/23!!!

Great location and very friendly staff (many thanks Vince!). The apartment was clean and comfortable, with plenty of space in each room. The only real downside for us was that the bedroom was right next to the lounge and dining room, with only a wall covering part of the middle to separate the bedroom from the other rooms. The bedroom did not have a door and also had an open area above the study nook. This allowed both noise and light from the lounge and dining area into the bedroom, with no privacy at all (very bad design, but obviously not the staff's fault). The bathroom, although large and having a washer/dryer (combined laundry), had a very loud fan, which was quite noisy and as a result was easily heard from the bedroom (as it was right next to it). The fan also took a long time to turn itself off, which made the noise last longer than necessary. The only other issue I would mention is that on arrival we were not told that the apartments are not serviced on a Sunday (why not?). As a result, we had to do the cleaning on returning late from a day out, and I had to ask for a new set of towels (which were brought to the room). Overall, not a bad place to stay if you can get past the silly and impractical design of the apartment.

Rude Behavior and Bad Attitudes Dear management I contacted the reception in Punthill Apartment Hotels Parramatta for making a booking one night. The receptionist told me someone will call me soon, I was waiting and I didn’t get any call I contacted them again to confirm, the same person answered me his name is James he made the booking for me I asked him how much does it cost per night he said $209 not including tax I asked him again how much including tax he answered me with very bad behave you can calculated. really, I got shocked, I told him its bad attitude and I didn’t book at all, the problem if he did that again to other customer you will lose the customers. It is a decent place for long stay. I stayed here for two months with my family and had nice experience. Firstly it is close to all facilites like coles is in next building so all groceery and daily needs are fullfilled. Then multiple restuarents are nearby. For transport also it is near to Parramatta station. So it was convienent and i was happy.

Very impressive apartment hotel. The room was a good size, with all the necessary appointments. Location is great too, a short walk to downtown Parramatta. Many great restaurants nearby, and Coles is literally around the corner. Will certainly stay here again.
