Stayed at the Punthill Williamstown Apartments as part of an overseas trip for business. We arrived after 7pm but the afterhours instructions for entry were easy and it was a very simple process, including getting into the Ryan Street parking garage. The room was spacious, the bed was very comfortable, the air-con was good and actually kept the room at the right temperature throughout the night. The Nespresso coffee machine was unexpected but amazing, including both normal and decaf pods. The bathroom was a good size, very good lighting, but I am not a fan of having a shower in a bathtub so was not very impressed by that. Wifi was good, but was only available while in your room. I trained three mornings in the 'fitness room' but the wifi did not extend there. The fitness room consisted of a couple of swiss balls, a rack of 1kg - 10kg dumbells (with the 7kg & 9kg dumbells missing) and a single weights machine. There was also an exercise bike and treadmill which is all pretty standard and usable. The parking garage was well lit and felt secure with access up into the apartments via a lift. The choice for dining was actaully really good! Had a very nice steak at the Hobsons Bay Hotel one night, and we had another good meal at the Lion Dance Chinese Restaurant the other. Overall, I enjoyed my stay, and was very satisfied with the room, the amenities and the options for dinner.

Nice room with good amenities. The bathroom catered for all guests with a wall bench in the shower that could be folded away, hand rails around shower and toilet, and no step. This also meant water went everywhere though. Nice little stove in the kitchenette with all cooking implements provided, a bar fridge and microwave as well as tea/coffee supplies. The bed was quite comfortable and extra blankets and pillows were provided in the mirrored wardrobe. The doors onto the private deck were difficult to lock/unlock and left small gaps at the bottom but this didn't deter from the rest of the room. Breakfast is provided at an extra cost which I didn't have. The hotel also has private underground parking, a spa for guests on the top level and a gym downstairs. It is close to some nice little cafes, restaurants and the Williamstown Yacht Club. Service was prompt and friendly.

Very very disappointed with the cleanliness in this room. The elec kettle was dirty. The window ledges had all mould and dirt. We open the sofa couch only to find live walking insects, this was so disgusting I almost vomited . We checked out immediately. My sister also got a reaction on her arms from sitting on the couch for some time from the insects. We asked for a refund of the night we stayed but they refused saying they did not find anything. This was so disappointing as I had taken a video of this as proof. So not only did they not refundable us but they lied about it. There was like 12 of them walking in the mattress of the sofa couch so I’m sure they could not have missed it. I’ll Never ever go there again. It’s so not up to standards.

Rooms are rather dated and compares poorly to other hotels in same price level Room was clean to begin with, but no room cleaning/making beds/replace toiletries were done during a multi-day stay - seemed to be a deliberate management decision due to staff vacancies, to just drop guest service levels very poor value for money It seemed to me possibly misleading to call themselves a 4 star hotel - this is more like an (un?)serviced apartment place for longer stays, for example similar to Quest apartments, without much real hotel-type service or support, but it's priced like a fancy hotel good location

Nice location in Williamstown right near the yacht club. Room was a good size but had some mould in the walls and roof so had a bit of a smell when I arrived late at night, the aircon didn’t stay on long it reset after a certain time and wouldn’t turn back on. Kitchen is nice and the coffee is a Nespresso pod system stocked daily. Really liked the sparkling water on arrival but would of been nicer in the fridge so cold when I arrived. And restocked daily. I’d stay here again as location to some fantastic restaurants is a small walk along the promenade.

One of the best places in Australia City considering the prices. The place has a kitchen which I used to host lunch with my friends. It is 3 mins walk down to the bay and marina. A less than 10 mins walk up stations. Yes, stations! There are 3 of them and i used them at 11pm to get back, changed at Newport where i had to only wait for 2 mins at the most. The staff are tremendous. Fully recommended. Need a better tap on the sink though guys, they splash!

I stayed there for 5 days .. it was the worst place ever. The servicing is shocking rooms are never clean. 1 roll of toilet paper given to us for our whole stay. The beds are old and bouncy. The couches are old and smelly. The lady at reception one in particular was very rude .. you can almost say racist. This place made my stay in Melb horrible. I would never recommend this place even to my worst enemy.

Avoid staying here and especially avoid booking via Airbnb! Full terms and conditions were not disclosed when my booking was confirmed. Additional T & Cs were sent just hours before my booking by the hotel directly. When I rang the hotel to sort it out, they told me to take up the complaint and refund with Airbnb. The hosts on Airbnb haven't bothered replying to my complaint yet. Disgusting service

Clean apartment in a great location with good parking, however I was freezing at night as there was only one thin blanket on the bed and no spares, the couch needs cushions to make it even vaguely comfortable and there and none provided and you need a magnifying glass to watch the tiny tv in the bedroom.

Lovely modern hotel, so clean and fresh. Kate was amazingly welcoming, friendly and helpful. Great room, bed was super comfy and snuggly, nice on a cold night. Complimentary non alcoholic drinks, loved the Grapefruit Mineral Water and Bundaberg Ginger Beer. TV could possibly be on the wall as was a little low from the bed.

More of an apartment instead of hotel.. you got your own kitchen, washing machine, refrigerator and stuff.. Don't expect too much from the room view, especially if you got assigned to a room in the corner.. But overall, a good place to stay..

No free wifi.......seriously. Otherwise, a lovely place, clean and well kept, just be carefull getting stung $15 for a breakfast on the weekends that only serves cereal or toast with tea and juice, hot breakfast only on weekdays.

Broken lift on arrival had to enter through fire escape, toilet seat in room broken,tap in bathroom broken,good location.

Good quality rooms, clean and well maintained. Room 102 AC unit is noisy though. If booking, insure if you require help with stairs, not to have rooms 101 or 102.
