Okay I'm going to start this off by saying I RARELY write bad reviews but I just don't want anyone else to experience what I had to. I booked myself in for a Hollywood wax this evening at 6pm. I'm not a regular waxer and I usually stick with shaving unless I'm going on holidays etc. so my hair was on the longer side. I arrived at the salon and was brought into the waxing room which opens straight out into the rest of the salon. The therapist (I don't know her name) didn't have great English and brought me into the room, said nothing and left, leaving me wondering whether she wanted me to change right away or she was going to be coming back in. She also didn't provide me with a towel so I could at least cover up. So I waited until she knocked and came back and I asked her if she wanted me to change now and she said yes and left me to it (still without a towel). She came back in, and even though the hairs were OBVIOUSLY long, she didn't trim anything and just went straight in with the waxing. As anyone who has ever waxed or been waxed before would have been able to predict, she wasn't able to get the wax off my vag without pulling off the whole thing. Now I'm pretty good with pain - Hollywood waxes are never going to be a walk in the park but this was just ridiculous. So eventually she had to resort to a pair of scissors (something that would have been useful to begin with) in an attempt to cut the wax-covered hairs off my vag. This was almost worse as the scissors was so close to my skin, I was terrified she was going to snip into my labia. WHICH SHE THEN DID. I let a yelp and she apologised and at this point I was half thinking about just getting up and running out, knickers or no knickers. However, I decided against this and she continued snipping away until all of the wax was either cut off or pulled off. Next she took out the scissors and tried to trim the remainder (a little too late) before continuing to wax the rest, whilst my vagina was roughly bashed about. At this stage, half of the pain wasn't from the waxing at all, it was from the therapist digging in to me. After a total of half an hour or so, the therapist explained that she couldn't get the rest of the hairs underneath (there was A LOT left) because it would be too sore but said she would get rid of the hairs at the front. She jabbed into me with a tweezers in an attempt to get the rest (she didn't) and asked me if it was okay. Wanted to get the hell out of that place and/or cry I said yes that's fine and she finished off my roughly wiping my bum and vag down with one measly cotton pad. As I near the end of this review I'm starting to wonder why I even paid at all but I said a quick thank you, paid and basically ran out of the door, with no intentions whatsoever of coming back anytime soon. Oh and did I mention that she double dipped into the wax pot? Because there's that too. 0/10 from a hairy and sore vagina.

I rarely put bad reviews, I am sorry for that my goal is not to go down the institute but rather to prevent... I did my nails here, I paid 66 € (I took with extensions so I think the price is legitimate). however, paying 66€ and leaving the institute disappointed is not something pleasant. I showed a photo (French with on a nail 3 small hearts) she told me that would not look like the photo details by details (which is normal), but there are limits, the nails are thick, not smooth, the shape is too big, the Frenc was not well done and for the little hearts, it was so complicated for them to make them that I accepted after multiple attempts again I’m sorry to put a bad review I know it’s not rewarding but I wanted to share my experience, I do not recommend

The prices are cheap and the place is comfortable and bright. I phoned to make an appointment and explained that I wanted a really good cut as I am an older woman with grey hair for whom a stylish cut is essential not to look matronly. The young woman to whom I spoke said she understood and recommended a specific stylist. On arrival no one seemed to know or care about the appointment or the conversation and I was allocated to a young Asian man who seemed to speak no English. I succumbed to a cut, very nervously and we did our best to communicate. In the end the cut was far too short. My own fault for not leaving when he could not understand me, but I was going on holiday and really needed a cut. Lesson learned.

Service: Hair coloring & cutting The Asian young male staff doesn't know how to do the job. When I show a picture of the dark color he told me, my hair is black so I need bleach first? After I refused he still try to convince me to add on more service on it. During the process, he constantly asked private questions. It's really uncomfortable. The end, there were lots hair dye products left around face even on my cheek and ears. When I mentioned that he doesn't want to clean properly and said it will gone when I washing my face. And also the hair cut just like someone did it by accident. I would never recommend anyone and definitely not back again.

Extremely disappointing experience in this place. Got my hair highlights done, paid €170 and the colour started fading within 2 weeks. Went again to complain and spent another €35 for toner and blow dry, this time they changed my hair colour on purpose without telling me just to make it last longer. Finally had to visit another salon to get the mess cleaned and get the colour I wanted. Not sure what kind of hair products this place uses but it has costed me a lot. Will never visit this place again.

I got my hair cut here by Ingrid, she made me feel extremely welcome and comfortable and was very easy to talk with and we were very much on the same wave length about what we were doing with my hair. Ingrid was extremely understanding of my at home hair cuts and colour and guided me on how to care for my hair and recommended the better box dyes from the pharmacy. My haircut came out better then i could've imagined. Will definitely be coming back

I don't know how people can rate this place with 5 stars. Absolutely disgraceful experience. The hairdresser just ruined and burned my hair. I had to wash them again and do them by myself at home. Only asked for a normal blow dry. I've just heard that there's an Italian hairdresser working there and she's very good but when I had my hair done, unfortunately, she wasn't there. Ask only for her or spend your money somewhere else.

The atmosphere in this salon is great. The staff were very friendly and regularly checked up on me to see if I was ok. I had my hair bleached here for the first time and then dyed. I was very happy with how it turned out, the colour was great and my hair wasn’t super dry from the bleach. I’m glad I trusted the hairdressers recommendations (: Will definitely be coming back and recommending this salon to others.

I had a haircut appointment with Amy and when I arrived I was directed to a man that spoke no English whatsoever. All he could do was a strait cut around the bottom, which took him four trys as he couldn’t get both sides to be the same length. My hair is now two inches shorter than what I asked for because of it and I’ll have to pay for somewhere else to fix the absolute mess made of my hair.

Service: Hair colouring . - The young male staff did not do my hair thoroughly. The skin/hair at the back is very itchy. There were lots of hair dye products left on both of my ears as they were not cleaned properly. Last time I did hair straightening service, not within one month my hair came out fizzy again. + The shop location is very good. The shop itself is very clean and spacious.

One of those experiences where they ask you are you happy, you say yes, but screaming inside. My hair is scattered, difference of the length on top of the head and front is good 5cm. When he started with layering he was cutting over 6cm of hair at times. Just horrible. I'll need good three months to grow my hair back to normal.

I had been here a couple of times and I always left amazed by their services. Stephen is a great hairdresser and he knows his job well, he always knows what hairstyle will suit my face cut and I always get value for money. The place is also priced economically in comparison to other salons around the corner. I recommend Q&M.

I was looked after by Ingrid and she is absolutely brilliant and really listens to what you want. My hair is really thin and Ingrid gave me a brilliant cut that makes my hair look thicker. She also gave me advice on different ways to style my hair and products to use. My hair hasn’t looked this good in years . Thank you

I have been going here for over a year. You couldn't ask for nicer & attentive staff. Their attention to detail is extraordinary. Their prices for manicure & pedicure are more than fair as is eyebrow waxing. I could go to lots if places closer to my home but I feel it's well worth my time & money to go here.

Q&M offers quick, friendly service. The cheapest salon in Dublin!!! I had shellac polish and a wash, cut and blow dry for €50.00. I had to check that I had heard right! This will be my go to salon from now on! Right at the bottom of Capel street, just off the quays it has a very convenient location.

They fitted me in after a short wait, when I arrived way too early for my appointment, so I was grateful for that! I had the mini manicure, good price compared to other places. Nails were done perfectly and they dried them under a lamp, so they lasted as long as Shellac...but for half the price!!

Absolutely loved this place. Very friendly staff who are highly skilled. One of my best haircuts so far. Rodrigo did an amazing job. He made sure to discuss the kind of haircut I was looking for and did a brilliant job in doing that. The place is not over priced too Highly recommend it.

People working there are very friendly. Only one thing would like to say. I went there and asked for price for my hair (wash,cut,blow dry) the guy said 35. I went back to do my hair and the same person charged me 45. I was smiling but very disappointed. This is how you loose a client.

Rodrigo was really nice, he listened to what I wanted which resulted in a really nice long bob, I would recommend him! I'm taking away 2 stars for the salon itself, it definitely needs to be cleaned as there was alot of hairs around the salon & the place itself smelt of dirty pipes.

I usually come here for Mens haircut for €15 (wash&cut) they always do a good job, there friendly and alot cheaper than likes of Peter Mark etc. I.d imagine ladies haircut is cheaper than standard salons too..they also do nails etc
