Went to see a show in the Bord Gais theatre, after the show a crowd of people make their way to the down stairs car park run by Q Parking. We quickly realise there is only two paying machines for 100 people or more. By the time most people have paid and waited in their car for the queue of people to leave we have a blockage because every hour that goes by you have to pay 5 Euro more so now each car is stopping and ringing the bell on the exit machine to try and get through to someone on the other side who is in the UK while others are dashing out of their car to rejoin the queue to pay that extra 5 Euro. No one is working there because they are fully automatic and now place has trapped us all in an endless nightmare loop. The cost after 6 O'clock is automatically 20 Euro and before and after that time is 5 Euro an hour. Eventually some poor lad was woken up, hopped on his bike and arrived an hour and a half after the event had ended to open the exit and just take the tickets off of us. Q-Park is a nightmare and I will never ever go near them again, overpriced with no working services. Really put a damper on what was an excellent night out and also added to our time getting home. Just goes to show that Dublin is a basket case in terms of price and value with the bare minimum of services made available.

I was so happy to have prebooked my parking space prior to a wonderful production of Les miserable in the theatre. It made our arrival so easy and relaxed. On return to the car park I was happy not to have to Q (with the large number of people using 2 machines) to pay my ticket as with pre booking, it’s prepaid. And there the chaos began. As drivers approached the barrier many tickets appeared to be causing problems AND THERE WAS NO ASSISTANT to help. The result was that it took 60 minutes for me to reach the exit and there were many more still Q-ing behind me. My ticket was one that showed “invalid ticket”. An assistant arrived and raised the barrier. When we complained about the chaotic management we were told the problem was everyone exiting together. Surely that’s what’s expected in a car park servicing a theatre. Could whoever manages this car park not ensure an effortless exit of a very convenient car park? In future if I’m using the car park again, I’ll ensure I park as close to the exit barrier as possible.

Excellent service I had pre-booked my car parking spot at Bord Gais car park on 12th February I got to the entrance and I saw the shutters down.. I got a fright, but as I got to the intercom a chirpy voice said hello to me.. I explained I had pre booked the parking spot.. and a lovely man - Dan, explained that the machine wasn’t working but he let the shutter up and let me in (my friend and I were head to show and hotel nearby). Dan explained that I could go to the Office and give him our details and he would let us out when leaving the next day. We felt totally safe at all times. We were also extremely happy with the friendliness and chirpy personality of “Dan the Man” as he called himself.. It’s been an awful 2 years, and the customer service by Dan was lovely to get.. We had been shopping in the city that day, and not one person that served us, gave the smiles that Dan did.. Every company should have someone like him!!! Well done Dan, and well done Q-park for making me smile

Pre paid for a space, this has to be a minimum of 6 hours. Cost was €36. I printed the confirmation with QR code to scan and enter the car park. I also had this on my phone. On arrival at the CP I scanned the code but it wouldn’t work. Tried several times with both the printed version and phone version. Finally I had to take a ticket. On returning to my vehicle I then had to pay at the pay station. This wouldn’t work and seemed very dodgy. Finally I had to get cash. No receipt issued. This cost me €29. I contacted customer support and they were fairly unhelpful. Asking to produce receipts which were not issued and even produce the ticket used to exit the CP, which is taken by the barrier machine on exit. So apparently they don’t keep records of payments made or have any way of checking problems with their equipment. I would not recommend this company if you need to park anywhere. The customer service is a waste of time.

I would like to just make a quick note and say thank you to Daniel (Dan the Man) for his help last Saturday. I used this car park on Saturday the 29th of January and Dan was extremely helpful. My engine cooling light on my car was flashing on my way to the car park. Upon leaving the car park I approached Dan to ask where the nearest garage would be. Dan was very polite and gave me excellent directions. He also helped with my car park ticket when approaching the exit barrier as he could see I was struggling to reach. Customer service at its best. We could certainly do with more people like Dan in the business industry who I could clearly see goes above and beyond in his work place. Thank you again Dan!

Was charged eur50 because I lost my parking ticket... Parking manager refused to check the cameras to see when I entered the parking (my car stayed less than 3 hrs there) and demanded eur50 claiming that this is their daily fee and this is what they always charge those who lost the tickets. He also said that their credit card machine was not working and I would have to pay cash, so I ended up having to go and find the nearest ATM as didn't have that much cash with me. While it was my fault that I lost the ticket, don't think that the treatment I got was fair or reasonable

At a show in Grand Canal theatre last night. Long ques at pay machine (which are to be expected after a show). Pay machine developed a fault, instead of just leaving people there the attendant, Cathal, comes of and tries to deal with people as best he can. For me good service is what people try to do when things go wrong not just a 'have a nice day' when all is working well. So for trying to deal with the situation as best as he could instead of staying in his hut and keeping a smile on his face it's five stars from me.

Pre-booking does not work. They do not guaranty your space. I didn't find this in the terms and conditions but it says: "In the unlikely event that the Car Park is full, an alternative will be offered." It wasn't that unlikely. My barcode didn't work, parking was full, even wit pre-booked space, other driver came after me has the same issue. Staff was helpful and told me to park at a disabled parking space. Pre-booking not recommended, it cannot be trusted.

  • Mark Webb

The carpark at Grand Canal Sq is very handy, especially if you are attending a performance at the Bord Gáis Energy Theatre, as you come up the stairs or in the lift only about 30ft away. When booking online, you have to book a min number of hours, but its better than taking a chance on a space. Dan who works there, is very helpful, especially when it's busy. Have been there a few times and will try to use again when next there.

  • Margaret Ryan

Came back to my car on Tuesday 5th February after the Motown show in the Bord Gais Theatre to find I had a flat tyre. The young man, who's name I didn't get, was so helpful and concerned. Phoning for assistance and offering to stay with me until the assistance van arrived, even though he was finished for the night. As I had a friend with me, told him we were fine as the van was on its way. He deserves to be commended.

"Q"park is right! Bleedin queueing to get into this place for hours! Q-ed meself to sleep in my car, had the bleedin guards around and all, askin if I had been drinkin or smokin or whatevs. They couldn't prove a thing, glad they didn't check the boot, I was trying to ditch the car in this random car park at the time. They didn't check tho, was grand. Anyway, this take away is class, try the batter sausage

  • Elizabeth Lillian Dunne

This car park is handy for bord gáis if you are able to get up the stairs. I was there yesterday with friends and the wheelchair lift was broken I had to walk through the car park out the car exit ramp on crutches.. Which was very dangerous. The guy working there wasn't at all helpful. So disappointed. And the price when we came from the show €22 unbelievable. Such a big rip off never again.

  • Mike Lawlor

The Staff at Q-Park Grand Canal Square have always been excellent (used the car-parking facility 3 times this year). They assist the movement of cars from the carpark in an efficient and friendly manner, especially post-theatre when a volume of people attempt to leave at a similar/same time. The efficiency of Staff helping people exit in a time-efficient manner is a credit to them.

  • Robert McGuffin

Q park. You guys are taking the pee. €5.90 an hour to park adjacent the Board Gais theatre. You should seriously think of putting Balaclava,s over the paying machines. Typical criminal charges for parking. When Joe public is down. Sure why not join in and give Joe a good kicking. I would advise Joe public to avoid Q . Treat them like Covid. Stay away from these Q parking.

  • John O Callaghan

For some unknown reason, when I entered the car park this evening, the barrier did not auto raise in response to my easytrip /qpark fafility tag. So later in the evening after the show, I went to the kiosk in the car park and spoke with Aaron who was on duty. He was extremely helpful and sorted out the matter of ticketing for me with great customer service.

  • Comac Ahern (LLJ)

This car park is as close as you can get to the Bord Gais Energy theatre. It is just downstairs. The car park is relatively small so booking ahead is recommended. Also it is with worth noting that rush hour traffic can be very heavy and slow in this area so leave plenty of time of you are heading for an early evening show.

  • Will

Don't waste your time trying to park here. The signs say spaces but entry ticket barriers won't give out tickets as the car park is full. You get stuck on a entry ramp and staff are unhelpful. They won't answer the entry phone or check the machine for a fault. We saw cars leaving and empty spaces... ridiculous.

  • Sinead Fahy

Literally most unhelpful unhappy miserable workers. For 5.60 an hour you'd think they'd be a little bit more accommodating. I would rather walk to the grand canal dock than give this company the business Note for workers if you hate your job that much maybe you shouldn't be dealing with the public!!!!

  • DenisT Sexton

Very disappointing. The card reading machines failed to read the parking tickets and it took over a half hour to pay. The price listed on the wall showed 3.90 per hour but the actual charge was 5.90. Even though its located very conveniently to the theatre, I won't be using it again

  • Ian McLeish

Went to the Red Bull run. We parked there. QR code on phone wouldn't let us in. But the staff let us when we called. Got out no problem with the code. Shame for the person behind us when we scanned the code and it still said car park full- kept them waiting a while, sorry!

  • Ruth Hoey

Car park is a disaster. Parking spots are very tight. Sign says spaces, letting more cars in than actual spaces available. Issue with people leaving the car park, staff extremely slow to appear. Only park here if you are unable to park elsewhere & walk.

  • John Ryan

Great location. Unfortunately it closes at 22:30 (10:30pm)... and the release fee after hours is €40!!! 11pm would seem to me to be a better closing time and would also accommodate more of those attending the Bord Gais Energy theatre located nearby

  • Mia

I would like to thank Thair for his wonderful customer service. He was so professional and kind and very patience with my problem. I didn't expect such a joyful experience in a car park in those late hours ... so Thanks a million THAIR !!! …

  • Nana_France H

The parking is fine but the minimum charge on Sunday afternoon is €35.40 (five hours charge) and we believe this is extortionate. The matinee in Bord Gáis is generally no longer than three hours do charging for five hours is taking advantage.

  • Pearse Walshe

Great place to park if you’re heading to the Bord Gais Theatre, walk up the stairs and you’re right at the main entrance. Unfortunately the spaces are extremely tight. You may be unable to get out of the car depending on the space you pick.

  • Marcin Pikula

My experience with this car parking company was extremely disappointing. I had pre-booked a space for 5 pm to 11 pm to attend a match at the Aviva Stadium. However, upon arrival, the barcode provided did not work, and the parking lot was

  • Sean Manning

Handy enough to find (with Google Maps) just make sure to budget in the cost of parking here on your day trip, an eye watering €5.50 an hour, went to see My Fair Lady recently with the family and it cost €27 for the time there …

  • Lisa McDermott

Extremely poorly managed considering it can't handle the volume of cars leaving after an event finishes at the theatre. Unless you can get a space right next to the exit, you'll be stuck for half an hour trying to get out

  • Aislinn G

I pre booked this as going to a show and only option was the day rate of 40 euro. On arrival found it was 5 euro an hour. Ended up paying over 15 euro more than I needed to. Please add hourly rate to your online booking.

  • Brian Daly

Very handy for the theatre or any of the bars and restaurants in the area. Parking spaces are a bit tight and there are a lot of pillars. Best to drive or take taxi... not the safest area to be wandering about at night.

  • Stephanie Dubh

€5 per hour and it smells like a toilet... Of course it is convenient when there isn't street parking available however not the best of the Q-Park Car Parks and would ONLY use this if I couldn't find any street parking.

  • Peter Glynn

There is a lack of clarity as to where your prepaid parking spot is , and the only place you can ask someone is if you press the intercom button on the way Out. Otherwise it is grand and close to the Bord Gais theatre.

  • Inga Heafey

We were going to a concert in the Bord Gáis theatre and we came out of this car park right at the front door. Could not get closer . There was a member of staff there all the time and it was easy to find . Fantastic

  • Me Me

Absolutely never again. €25 charge just for going to see a concert in the Bord Gais Theatre. No concessions for theatre goers. Queued for ages to get out then the barrier wouldn't lift. Avoid at all costs.

  • Chris Michael

Inderground car park by Grand Canal Dock. Seeemed secure. Fairly expensive (approx. €35 per day), but it is very close to the town centre and there isn't much choice of parking if you are staying nearby.

  • Gilluindil (Gilluindil)

It's ridiculously expensive and it's extremely hard to find the entrance. But on the good side it has nice spaces for the cars (not tiny as usual) and it is literally right under the Bord Gáis Theatre.

  • Ella O' Neill

I would like to give a big shout out to Daniel! He helped me and my mam and made our journey to the theatre quick and efficient by helping us out. He was such a pleasant and helpful guy!

  • Gerard Brangan

Very convenient but certainly pricey!! And after a show is understandably very busy and there are only two ticket machines downstairs to pay before leaving so you'll be queueing!

  • Josh Mahon

It’s handy to park here if you are seeing a show in the Bord Gais Energy Theatre. It’s an extremely busy car park. The spaces are quite tight and the car park isn’t always clean.

  • Sarah Winters

Great if you're going to a concert in the Bord Gáis theatre. It's expensive but clean and bright and easy to use. Do not use if you have a lowered car the entrance is steep!

  • Derrick Lee

Handy for the Bord Gáis theatre Parking spaces very tight, prices at €5.50 an hour so if your going to a show in the Bord Gais theatre be prepared to pay at least €17.50

  • bryan conlon

Online €20 charge if you want to attend Bord Gais Energy theatre. Too expensive but they have the Monopoly on parking there. VERY tight parking spaces and access ramps.

  • Ada Witkowska

- Parking slots are really narrow plus in many places there are those concrete poles that make it impossible to open doors. + really close to board gais theatre entry

  • Marco Orsi

Had an issue yesterday with a double payment from a previous stay and Dan the Man sorted it in no time. Couldn't recommend him highly enough. Thanks very much Daniel.

  • Jim Stowe

A handy carpark. Can be difficult to find for first time. It is tight enough for space. My overall impression is that it's fairly grubby and in need of a good clean.

  • Christine OGrowney

Had to park my car there on Saturday night and it was very busy. The man at the desk - Cathal - was very helpful to me when I needed some assistance. Thanks Cathal.

  • Dylan Rafter

Handy parking, right below the theatre. Spaces are a bit small and parking is a bit expensive. It seems secure so there was no worries with leaving the car there.

  • Trevor Hunt

Well located for the theatre but it's very expensive at 5.50 Euro per hour (Oct 2022 price). Ticket machines are slow to process tickets leading to long queues.

  • Mollywood Ireland

A beautiful Dublin vista where the old world marries the new world and this is a fantaiscly well integrated project with both traditions living in harmony.

  • Michelle Newman

Thanks to Daniel very helpful and a pleasure to meet, clean and safe parking facilities and so close to the theatre will definitely be using q park again.

  • Cathy O'Flaherty

Great car park. Convenient location. Only lost a star because its hard to use if anything is on in the bord gais because people book up all the spaces.

  • Dani California

€44 for less than a 24hr stay. In an unmanned automated carpark. Absolute daylight robbery. but then again, It’s dublin so it is hardly surprising.

  • wojtek Kaluza

If your are planing to go for a gig in 3 area or some live show in bord gas teatr this place is definitely worth to consider as it's near by

  • Pat Kinsella

Expensive. Ticket machine broken. Huge queue after show ended. Had to stand in large puddle of water to pay at kiosk. Only as a last resort

  • James Leigh

Sorry to say that it was too expensive - cramped parking spaces - I know that it was close to the Venue - but 5 euros per hour - really

  • Jo Archbold

Big thanks to Dan for helping us out with our ticket and being so sound! He was super friendly and helpful. What a legend …

  • Kevin Haverty

Took almost 1 hour to get out last night following a show. Also the most expensive hourly rate I've ever experienced. Never again.

  • Elaine Webb

Location is great , but service is terrible. Cash only , as of one hour ago, no notice . Up to customers to then locate an atm ,

  • Sandie Byrne Medium

Very handy for attending events at the Bord Gais Theatre. Only drawback is that it’s very expensive and it could use a clean.

  • Judith Totten

Daniel was on duty on Sunday when we can to see Les Mis at Bord Gais . He was really helpful and polite - what a superstar !

  • Nicole Gent

Has he transferred here... I'm scared to drive into city centre but maybe I will just make the sacrifice... to see....

  • Mummy Reviews

The price of parking for the quality of the car park is shocking 5.50 per hour and the spaces were ridiculous.

  • Mary Hayden

It's a car park ! E5.50 per hour is criminal !! Absolutely no justification in charge, it's extortion....

  • Vítor Almeida

Don’t go there at all! You book and pay and on the day the car is park full. No spaces! Unacceptable!

  • Jackie Booth

Very handy spot to park if you're going to the three arena and want to avoid the queue for the Luas.

  • Olive Tallon

V hand for show. Wheelchair spots not v large and extremely expensive for an evening at a show. €35

  • Margaret Freeney

Went to see a show at Bord Gais. Car park cost 23.50. Scandalous. Would put you off going anywhere.

  • Tanis Cronin

Shocking price, spaces very tight. One star for proximity to theatre but I won’t be using it again.

  • E C Vos

Feels old and run down, but great location and fees are not crazy if visiting Bord Gais Theatre.
