Bottom line the people at this store did everything they could to help us out and will recommend to anyone. I know during COVID it's tough with appliances, as we know from another experience, but I'll give this place and Robbie 5 stars just for the effort and helpfulness. Let me start this by saying we have had a really hard time getting our hands on our appliances for our redone kitchen. We initially worked with Plaza Appliances and had a very difficult experience - they had scheduled a delivery date and on that day I called asking for status of delivery and was told the appliance that had been scheduled for delivery by our salesperson was not our appliance. We waited to demo until we were told our appliances were in stock. Since then it had been impossible to get an accurate estimation of when our appliance would come - they gave us a 3/1 delivery date that came and went and then we were told they didn't know when we would have our appliance delivered to us. I'm not sure about anyone else, but I prefer my delivery dates in the future. Enter Queen City. We had gotten so fed up with the runaround and lack of effort to even find my appliances that I started calling around to find my model somewhere else. We called before and they made great effort to help us out but we initially chose to wait for Plaza - big mistake. My wife called Robbie at Queen City last Thursday and asked if they had a floor model of our range and luckily they had one in stock and ready to deliver along with the dishwasher we needed. Robbie stayed a little late to get everything squared away and assured our delivery by Tuesday - which was confirmed in a couple different methods the day before. Admittedly I'm a bit paranoid after my first experience, so that guarantee was really appreciated. The delivery staff were very friendly and professional to work with and made sure installation went smooth and to our satisfaction - and didn't take too much time at all. Robbie even called to make sure all had went well. We just moved in October and we will be back for future appliance needs! Highly recommend!

UPDATE: 7/27/2022 - Carlos and Christian the delivery and installation team were pretty terrific and absolutely spot on and very professional. They even gave me time to clean the dust behind my old appliances before the new ones were placed. It's the small things! REVIEW: My husband and I have a washer and dryer that has lasted more than 18 years and it was time to replace them. We started shopping and learned very quickly how technology and advanced circuitry has taken over our appliances. We looked at washers and dryers at several different stores and saw some that even connected to blue tooth technology. WOW! But one thing was pretty common in all of the other stores.... The UPSELLING and the impatient salesman with rolling eyes. That was the case until we walked into Queen City on Sunday and met Kevin Cook! Kevin was the most down to earth and knowledgeable salesmen we've met in a long while. And, I had lots of questions for him. Instantly, he was sensible and down to earth. But what impressed me most was his patience and his natural and genuine personality. He often said "let's take a look" and let's compare." He listened and heard me when I said the less circuitry the better, and I like dials, not program buttons. He helped us understand that buying the floor model was not such a bad idea and really helped us get a great value. When I think about it, we have purchased most all of our appliances at Queen City. There's a reason. We also feel pretty strongly about keeping our business with local businesses. So, if you are in the market for a new appliance of any kind, you will not only be surprised by the great values and sales at Queen City, but you will also enjoy working with great folks like Kevin Cook! Go in and ask for Kevin! You won't be disappointed. Note to Queen City: I really hope you congratulate and recognize your three wonderful employees. Fine experience until the store manager got involved. I live near by and went to buy my mother a microwave for Christmas. Called ahead to make sure they had it they were nice enough to set it aside for me. Picked it up and went to my mothers house (45min drive away) once unboxed we noticed a dent. Rather then driving the 1.5 hr round trip we found one locally that I went and got with the intention of returning the one from queen when I headed home for the day. I even called the store about the damage and was told I would get a call back (never happened but no big). When I went to return it I was told that they can’t return it same day due to how there systems worked I said no worries left my information. Today I received a call from the store manager stating that when I return seems strange he likes to get involved and needed me to justify to him why I didn’t want to do an exchange. Making it seem that I had some nefarious intentions when I first bought it. Literally saying “I’m not trying to put words in your mouth” when I told him I didn’t need to justify it to him. I had told Xavier who helped me that I had planned to shop with them again as there selection and pricing was really good. But thanks to the store manager I will never return to that store and will ensure everyone I know does the same. The employees are great. The store manager was inappropriate and crossed a line. Turning an over ok visit to one of the worst customer experiences I have ever had. Damaged product happens no big, not being able to process a same day return no big. Having a customer explain/justify why they no longer want a damaged product before you’ll process their return you’ve already accepted kind of a big deal. Do not buy appliances from Queen City. They sell garbage appliances and they do not stand behind their products. In six months I’ve gone through three microwaves, a dishwasher and have an oven that does not work. We have had to take six days off from work to stay home and meet a repair guy. Queen City just keep giving me excuses why they cannot do anything to help me out. Even the manager KYLE is not willing to do a thing except say “gee, I really hate that this is happening to you”. Definitely do not recommend purchasing any appliances from them. My appliance repair guy said it’s a good thing. I purchased the five year extended warranty because I’m really going to get to know you well over these next five years. He said that KitchenAid is absolute garbage and he has to repair them all of the time. Contrary to what the people at Queen City told me that they never have issues with their KitchenAid products. salesman are always the biggest liars!

After waking up and finding out that my chest freezer was dying and my food was thawing out we went on the hunt for a freezer and we needed it ASAP. We went to Lowes and the only thing they had was a 7 cu chest freezer. I had my daughter calling everywhere and I decided to call Queen City. Thank God I got Teresa Abballe. She not only had an upright freezer in stock but she was able to have it delivered to us on the same day. And she was super friendly and nice while helping us. Overall the service and customer service skills I received from Teresa to the delivery drivers was nothing but perfection. Queen City is Blessed to have employees like that. I would encourage everyone to go to the Queen City in Gastonia for all your needs.

We went into Queen City for a washer and dryer. The salesman was great but it ended there. Delivery was scheduled for Tuesday and it was canceled and rescheduled for the following day. Delivery day came and the appliances were installed with some issues. The installers wrapped the hoses up behind the washer to a point the door wouldn't close. They also tracked in some kind of paint. My wife talked with Alex and let him know I would be calling later which I did and left a voicemail. That was two weeks ago and no call back. I fixed the hoses so the washer could be pushed far enough back to close the door. Marks are still on the floor. It took 15 minutes to gain our business and trust and seconds to destroy it.

We had a great experience buying our kitchen (Range, fridge, dishwasher) and laundry appliances through Queen City. I'll update my review once I get the appliances delivered and installed. This review is based on my experience researching and buying through QC Appliances. We worked mostly with Xavier. He was informative, responsive, and enjoyable from start to finish. He probably spent over an hour with us in the showroom and then several emails and quotes before purchasing. Everything was straightforward and well-documented. Queen City is holding our appliances in their warehouse until we are ready for them. This is also a major benefit.

It is hard to find a replacement for my downdraft cooktop, but this place delivers. I went to the website and see what I needed is available, so I called the place. Kevin is very helpful to answer my questions, and he can get a cooktop for me. Kevin is knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful. Kevin assisted me to get a model that is still available, and he helped me during the purchasing process over the phone. I picked up the cooktop from their pick up location (different from the store) as I needed the cooktop as fast as possible. They can deliver the cooktop to your home, but I prefer to pick it up. Great place for your appliance needs.

The experience here was absolutely fantastic. My fiance and I were in the market for a new dishwasher as ours had required a costly repair. We came into the store and were absolutely stunned at everything they had on the inside. The exterior of the building is deceiving. We were greeted by our salesman Kevin who was great. He showed us right where all of the dishwashers were, told us about a few deals they had that day, and then let us do the shopping, but made himself available if we had any questions. He was GREAT! Delivery and install was also a breeze. I will definitely be going back for any other appliance needs.

After checking out all the big box stores and not finding anything in stock, I decided to give Queen City a chance and I am glad I did. I found the people there very knowledgeable and helpful when purchasing new appliances for my kitchen including a range hood that no one else had in stock in my desired size. Jonathan Jones is my HERO! I work for Portico General contractors we purchase many appliance's throughout the month and Jonathan makes this experience such a breeze. After a terrible experience with a competitor I called Queen City. Bob Baker was efficient and friendly. Delivery came and the two professional installers were patient, accommodating and knowledgeable. Ends up the gas oven we had was a custom slide in not manufactured anymore unless you want to pay $$$$ which we did not. They helped us work through the issue and returned the new stove. Bob called next day and worked out a stove that would work and was very fair charging for the second delivery. So far so good.

As of today, January 24, 2023 Queen city along with their subcontractor, which is the delivery company of the washer, still has not sent me the check to reimburse me for the repair if my LVP floor. Queen city has responded that this has been resolved, but this is far from the truth. I still have not received the check to reimburse me for the damaged floors.

Rick Webb of Queen City did an awesome job for us! In purchasing all new kitchen appliances, he guided us appropriately through the process. We purchased mostly LG, along with a Bosch dishwasher. He recommended a Frigidaire beverage fridge which worked out well. We even purchased a TV for the living room while there. Highly recommend Rick and this company!
