"Beautifully maintained large family friendly park"
visit here very regularly as it has an abundance of nature and plants which are very maintained and always look full of life. Has a very pleasant walking path around the lake which has plenty of ducks and other water birds as well as heaps of what I believe are carp fish of big sizes popping their heads up to view. There are also two playgrounds on opposite ends of the park and plenty of fresh water taps at many locations. It also has a big stone monument to commemorate heros with different plaques on each side. Great big areas of lovely green grass for picnic either in the open or under shade. The bowls club there is also very upkept and frequently hired out for events on weekends seems to always be people in the park.
Playground
two quite decent sized playgrounds on either end of park with lake in between them each with a different lay out for the children. the one at the front of the park has a nice Cafe next to it and public restroom near by.
Restrooms
one public toilet with two rooms next to front playground park.
Dog-friendliness
lots of people walk their dogs and cats hah around the lake and it has plenty of fresh water taps accessible for hydration around the park for animals!
Picnic area
there are double sided seating benches or an abundance of open fresh grass areas in or out of shade to picnic at and lovely fresh water lake with lots of life either with fish or different water birds to enjoy viewing.
Huge park and extremely gorgeous. There's a lake in the middle and huge trees all over to have a small picnic under. The park has benches for those who just want to sit and admire without wanting to picnic. There's also walking paths for joggers. For kids there is a jungle gym to go crazy in. There's a public toilet on the Mount Alexander Road side that is automated. You can buy coffees from the cafe situation adjacent to the bowls club. Gets a bit crowded on a sunny day. So come early if you want to find a good spot and also a parking spot nearby.
A wonderful, extensive park in the heart of Moonee Ponds. We had a picnic near the cafe. Delightful surrounds, lots of kids having a ball. We were with a toddler so this suited us fine. Lots of places to go if you want quiet and restful. Lots of open lawns, formal gardens and walking paths. Coffee from the cafe was acceptable. The lake is lovely and the park is highly recommended. Moonee Ponds shopping strip is nearby with supermarkets, cafes etc.
Good place to walk the dogs. Charming nooks to hide or pic-nic in (eg sunken garden). Has clean modern public toilets, water fountains for people and dogs. a cafe, children's playgrounds and sandpits. wide variety of trees and flowers, including Begonia, Illawarra flame tree, ferns, Native pines. A black swan, corellas, ibis, lorikeets, ravens, ducks, night heron, moorhens and cormorants. The vibe changes with the seasons and time of day.
Beautifully maintained large family friendly park. Plenty to see and do with play equipment for kids and parking available on all sides. A big lake is at the centre of the park which might attack inquiring children, so be careful with the little ones. Wifi is being installed for public use. There is a bowling club, cafe, and swimming pool included in the park. ANZAC memorials are featured in the park and yearly services are held here.
Awesome park! Lots of wildlife, a cafe, toilets, bins, rotary wishing well, children's play equipment, public swimming pools & a lawn bowls club. You will usually find that there's plenty of friendly people exercising & having picnics. I always feel positive vibes here & recommend this park wether it's for exercise, reading a book (plenty of shaded areas just watch those sprinklers), or other activities like practicing mindfulness.
This is a beautiful well maintained park. My bub and I saw lots of birds and ducks. And we absolutely enjoyed our walk in the park. There's a small playground for kids to enjoy on swings and seesaw. There's a cafe as well. Too bad it was closed by the time I went there. I'll go again some other day to try out their coffee.
Playground
Beautiful playground for kids of all ages to play. My bub had a great time here.
Beautiful park with picturesque lake and flora, ducks, ibis...Nice walk around the park with plenty of benches to sit and enjoy the view. There is also a cafe and kids' playground with swings, slides etc. A few water fountains around the park if you forget to bring a water bottle. Plenty of street parking. Wheelchair accessible, dog friendly(on leash) A great little oasis in the heart of Moonee Ponds.
Stunning park with a huge lake populated with waterfowl, mixture of open grassy areas, shady areas under massive oak trees, and densely planted forest areas. Almost the entire park is wheelchair accessible, including the small café (part of the eating area is raised up a step, but there is a ramp onto it on one side). Beautiful historic items scattered about.
Beautiful place to walk and enjoy that is not too big. Toilets available on Mt. Alexander Road side and public pool on Pascoe Vale Road side. Need more fresh water in the lake for aquatic life to thrive as signs of green algae in the summer. There is a cozy coffee shop too to relax and enjoy a nice cuppa. Great for all walks of life for nice quick stroll.
Beautiful park. During covid I have walked around here more often than normal. It is so nice to see everyone sitting on the grass with their friends. It would be nice if they did fitness classes or things like that for the community here to make more use of the space. I especially when the ducks are around they are so cute.
We used it as a catch up location. We met at the café and ordered coffees and food. The chips were popular. There were lots of seats to accommodate the 7 of us. There are playgrounds for young ones, one on each side of the lake. The gardens are well maintained and it's a magic spot to walk around and chill out.
Nice cafe in a classic Melbourne park. Swell pond, playground is safe without being tedious to walk around with a curious three year old. Pigeons will quickly pounce on any food left out but there’s ducks and other wildlife on and around the pond. Overall if you like parks you will probably like this.
Awesome place to unwind and good place for kids with play area and lake. You can spot a lot of birds including ducks and pelicans etc around the lake. The walk trail around the lake is very nice and the best to unwind. It’s pretty close to Moonee Ponds shopping centre and St. Monica Catholic Church.
I love this park!!! It’s big enough and has lots of wildlife to enjoy! Spotted 2 playgrounds and a gorgeous cottage cafe! Swimming pool is also located within the park. Carp fish were huge!! I can be here all day . It’s so peaceful and has enough shade for hot weather. I will definitely be back!
A totally relax little park with all the ducks and birds, great for couples or family too go to. so Great for a short walk if you live next to Moonee ponds or can do a picnic when you have a day off. Anyway did enjoy it and will be back soon and maybe we'll check out that house cafe next. …
Great park, lots of space for families to enjoy and you almost forget that you are in an inner city suburb. With the sound of the birds and the sound of the breeze through the magnificent trees will surely impress. Great to get out to your picnics with COVID restrictions easing!
Enjoying my morning walks here, beautiful park, lots of greens, colorful flowers, a pond where all the duckie can be seen enjoying their time, 2 playground for family with kids, cafe, public toilet, clean park, well maintained by the people from Moonee Valley City Council.
It's a very nice park, has a lot of tree coverage, numerous footpaths and a pretty lake that attracts a lot of ducks and other bird life. It's well maintained and is a very family oriented park, also not too bad of a spot take you dog for a walk in as well.
Its a nice neighbourhood weekend spot for a family with kids. There is also a cafe in the park and I loved thier cappacino ( must try). The is a pond with ducks offering a mesmerising getaway spot to sit and enjoy the nature. Ample Parking near the park.
Have known queens park all my life. Mum and dad used to take us there as s child. Have very fond childhood memories of the playground and the ducks and swans. Climbing the trees and the cannons. Great to walk around and to take my kids to play.
I looked up and down and left and right and heck, I looked straight ahead and behind! But she was nowhere to be seen. False advertising, no Queen present. Do not take the family here for a cheeky Queen sighting, you will be let down.
Great park to walk your dog, but make sure you clean up after your dog, the playground is a good size for all ages and the park is always alive with people relaxing and enjoying the lovely gardens and trees and the toilets are clean
Love this place. A great park with two great playgrounds, plenty of space and a track right around it. The birdlife don't hassle you, they exist in their own world. The cafe is fantastic and there's sufficient free parking around.
Clean quiet park with lots of ducks and a cute cafe. Lots of tasty options and great coffee. Small gift shop, Very relaxing and easy to get to.
Restrooms
Clean. Works.
Picnic area
Plenty of grass, shade and sunny.
I used to live in Moonee Ponds next to Queens Park. It’s still one of my fav parks in Melbourne. Great for family and also perfect for dogs. I often go for a walk and get coffee from the cafe inside the park. Just loving it!!
One of the more lovely parks in the Northern suburbs. Spacious and historic. There is something for everyone...including kids, fitness fanatics, and botanists. Many fine species of trees. Dog friendly (leashed preferred).
A great place for a quick relaxing stroll or a leisurely picnic with friends and family. A walk around the pond refreshes you with the trees and birds in the area. A must visit place to relax if you're in the area
Stopped here to go to the toilet. Park looks great and toilet fine but finding a carpark mid morning was a pain.
Restrooms
Typical auto-loo inside but with an old fashion shell sympathetic to it's location
Always a great spot for a walk or playground trip. With two playgrounds to choose from, an onsite cafe and a well paved track around the lake to help kids learn how to ride a bike.... you can't go wrong.
Excellent park, very well maintained. All the plants here are thriving. Very little litter. Lots of wildlife. A great playgrounds. Excellent spots to take the family and have a picnic or to play.
Favourite place to relax and go for walks and runs. Ducks are so cute and the park is well kept! I especially love that there is a cafe there for my coffee after my morning stroll. The best!
Lovely park with picturesque lake, many meandering paths and soft green lawns to picnic on. Large modern playground, kids had a wonderful time close to public transport and local take aways.
Beautiful park. It is so different when you come at night. I have been here a lot at night and it is so different then at daytime. There are so many bats in the trees. It is a great park
A beautiful oasis within the hustle and bustle of Moonee Ponds.
Playground
Two wonderful playgrounds
Picnic area
Picnic tables and benches throughout. Also a cafe onsite.
Great outdoor space ideal for picnics with families. Easy parking in Coles if you don’t want to drive the loop looking for a park. Great if you need to pick up items for a picnic.
I didn't get to see much of the park as we were on a tight schedule but its seemed very beautiful and well manicured. Nice soft grass and beautiful artwork/statues around.
Amazing well maintained gardens. Pet friendly, family friendly, cafe, children's play area. Plenty of variety of birds inhabit the area. A great place to relax and enjoy.
Beautifull park, lovely walking track and view. Very good playing park area for kids and most of all little islands and tracks inside are very attractive in the park.
Absolutely fabulous park home to very friendly ducks and birds. Playground for kids and a cafe...great for all ages with seating for get togethers. Highly recommend!!
Always a great place to meet, whether with kids, digs or in your own. Great space for everyone and great cafe too!
Dog-friendliness
Definitely good for dogs!
This Park used to be beautiful and well maintained. Seems like Council isn't maintaining it to the same standard. Has definitely dropped in the last year or so.
I love it! It's so peaceful with its river and pretty flowers, can't forget the two playgrounds and cafe too! I really recommend it, it's my favourite park.
Pretty park with lots of trees, a large pond and plenty of grass to sit on.
Picnic area
There is one picnic table but no cooktops for bbq
Full of Pokey-stops and gyms for Pokemon Go. Plus it's a gorgeous old park with a magnificent lake, majestic trees and all the facilities.
Queen Park is really nice place to spend quality time with friends and family. plenty of wide open space with green garden and trees.
Such a lovely suburban park, gardens are immaculate. Great parks, a cage and amenities. Lots of parking and accessible by tram too
A lovely park with a great cafe. Plenty of outdoor seating and a wonderful lake. Great to sit and watch the world go by.
Got married in March 2021... this is our most favourite place it has a lot of meaning for us now more so than ever.
Lovely place for relaxing or picnic. Big area with lake in the middle and palms all around. I absolutely love it!
Gorgeous park with cute ducks and pretty lorikeets. Lots of dogs being walked too and a playground for the kids.
Lovely area for a picknick, there is a cafe, toilets a pool and much more. This is my personal favourite park.
Lovely park with good vibes. Grass is well maintained and lovely pond. Downside is no BBQs or public toilets.
*Beautiful landscape *Nice place for picnic *Not really suitable for physical exercise due to small pathways
Great location for family picnic, walks or even photos. Gardens are will maintained. Highly recommended.
Beautiful and well maintained park. This park has beautiful lake, play grounds for kids and nice cafe.
Beautiful peaceful park, nice to having a stroll and picnic, kids loved the pond and the playground.
We had our grandson's graduation photos taken there this week. Perfect place. Childhood memories.
Great place for a coffee and enjoying the sunshine. Plenty of wildlife around for the children.
Good for the kids. If you time it right there’s a little coffee shop to also get coffee
Queens Park is a serene oasis. Great spot for relaxation and family outings.
Mate got shanked here, wouldm't reccomend. Good water fountain though.
I walk this track around twice a week and it's so pretty and calming.
Variety of attractive features. Great for a family outing and picnic
What's not to love? Great place to visit when it's not overcrowded.
Nice to walk around, though lighting at night needs to be reviewed.
Gorgeous park. My dog made lots of friends (human and canine)!
Great park. So many different things on offer. Well kept.
Really nice and pretty, the ducks are adorable.
Lovely oasis on a 30 degree spring day!
It's beautiful to walk around the park
