Absolutely the most disgustingly, rude women working at this place. I noticed that when queen bee dread-locked library lady opened the door and spoke to everyone but me. Went out of her way not to make eye contact or speak to me. One has to wonder if she is a serious racist who doesn't like white people. Their WIFI didn't work at all, took forever to load. I asked nasty rude lady #2 working at the front desk why it was not working and she brushed me off and said "it hasn't worked right in weeks" and went back to what she was doing. When I asked nasty, rude lady #1 who I could complain to about it she kept cutting me off and saying it wasn't their fault. I thought I'd use the computers in the library, since I could not use mine and kept trying to scan my library card, which I was having trouble doing. Nasty rude lady #2 saw my struggle but just stood there and did not offer any assistance. She did voice her displeasure, however, when I had the audacity to go to the teen section (which I did not know) and tell me I had to go to the adult section. I asked her how to log on and she said "go scan your card". I told her she saw me struggling with it and it was not working and she had some other lame excuse. I then asked her why she and everyone were so rude and she looked astounded, as if she had no idea she was being blatantly nasty to me. (she damn well did know she was) . She then proceeded to insult my intelligence further by saying "god bless you" at the top of her lungs several times. Yes, her non existent god allows her and her buddy to be so disgusting towards their fellow human beings. Go to hell lady. How ya like them apples.

I love this library. Although it's small library it's still well maintained. Very organized and the best part a out queens library is that: you get to print 20 pages for free with ur free library card. What an awesome idea.i wish NYPl (Bronx Manhattan) would let us print 20 pages for free. Shame on you nypl. The librarians were very sweet and it was very quiet . I went there day after Christmas . Must visit if your local. Enjoy your tax paid benefits.

terrific place ! the security person at the bookstore seems to be the one giving the rules. You don't have any empathy and you think you have the right to talk rude to people? it has no empathy the place is not clean and there is no space for babies or mothers with babies... honestly I am very disappointed after having visited the new queen bookstore in hunter point... they should put people with more empathy to work !!!!!

First time coming to this library, me and my daughter were very excited.Went to the kids Section .. asked for information and lady was totally disrespectful and rude... when we checked out there were absolutely no bags.. so i asked nicely to the librarian and he didnt even look at me once simply just told me they ran out... please if you are going to work here be mindful ! Courtesy and Respect go a long way!

This is a great branch. The sense of fear here is palpable. I'm going to definitely return here to further explore the depth of it's levels. Possibly home to a gate or portal, but also a resident incarnate (the head librarian?) may very well be intensifying it's focus. The Sun of the Morning envelopes this wonderful find with it's darkness. All his followers should visit here.

Absolutely stunning! Recently renovated. It looks brand new, like a resort lobby! Everybody there is friendly and they treat you with respect, very polite. Unlike other public offices like Social, IRS that they treat you like an animal, here in the Library they treat you like a human being!

Love it here. As a community-based occupational therapist, I always have plenty of space (and quiet) so I get my paperwork done more efficiently at this library. I won’t lie- it was tough not being able to rely on public libraries due to Covid restrictions.

The security person always follows me and stares at me while I’m checking out it’s so uncomfortable! I am literally just collecting my book requests and checking out, so where is the privacy? This has happened to me all times I went here.

clean, safe, and friendly staff. one librarian even sang baby shark to my son! happy this library is around for my son. I hope they expand their kids programs and I am hoping they install a couple of water fountains.

Ypu are not open for anyone to use it. You close at 6pm almost everyday, so kids can’t be there. You open between 10-1 pm. So college students can’t use it. On Tuesdays you are open for 5 hours. What’s the point ?

Honestly the library is BEAUTIFUL. But the staff tend to forget that it’s a LIBRARY where ppl come to read without hearing someone shouting!. They have conversations where everyone can hear and are EXTREMELY loud.

  • Maria Kristina

Staff does not respect those who come here to read and/or study; instead, they shout. They engage in personal chats and ignore those around them. This is intended to be a peaceful environment.

Beautiful renovation. Everything is open and airy. Lovely spaces in the library. The director, Ms. Gibson is a very nice accommodating person.

The key services are shut down 15 minutes before their hours of operation end. Walked far for nothing. They should update their hours!

  • Katie Hunt

The people that work here are very friendly. They have a great selection of children's books, and a nice story time for toddlers!
