Atmosphere is upbeat. Friendly staff. Bartenders are pleasant and polite. Food is good reasonably priced. Wednesday through Sunday. Not sure what's going on Wednesday night but Thursday night and Friday karaoke. Saturday I'm thinking was dancing and that was pretty fun with a DJ. And Sunday more karaoke never been there on a Sunday but always a good crowd. Mostly Younger but diverse crowd pretty much. Everybody seems to be respectful and having fun. Never have seen any kind of ruckus. They do still ask for covid verification. But all in all very good time I've been there at least a dozen times and always enjoyed myself there. Well Friday night is a bit loud and no karaoke which in my opinion should be karaoke every night they're open. The DJ who was supposed to have people dancing was just playing loud music super long did not take requests for people who want to dance to certain music he just played his stuff and he was the only one that was enjoying it. So I had a couple drinks and I left because I couldn't even sit inside it was so loud and obnoxious

I had the bubbly rainbow bunnies drink, was smooth light and foamy was nice touch the bar tender takes care of you like he made sure he came back to me to get a drink was knowledgeable of his mixology . Staff is honestly nice the guy handling karaoke is hilarious and hypes you up, he plaid the tangerine on my turn . I feel like the energy picks up once karaoke starts but the music and sing along is so much fun ! You get into it everyone in the crowd is supportive so many genres sang . Very yourself mellow vibes , I really love the karaoke vibes here the most , theme is a dark pirate rustic that’s just my opinion and I like it ! I would recommend stopping by instead of going to a club .

We were visiting from Canada and needed a place for a drink before our concert and we stumbled upon this place. Our bartender Alana was amazing, she was full of life and had a great personality, because of her we didn't make it for dinner because we stayed for more than 1 drink. We met a couple of locals who made the place feel like home and we had a GREAT TIME. If we come back to LA we are definitely stopping here! Ask Alana for the Manhattan, as recommended by Gabriel!!!

Cozy and well decorated period-styled speakeasy bar. Was there on a Saturday night but there was no password required as expected. Was a live DJ playing an eclectic selection of old music which was in keeping with the theme. Great menu and happy hour specials. Great selection of food and drinks, and suprisingly very good value. Booths are cozy and private, and floor staff are available to serve at the booth spaces. Great place for intimate meetings or groups of friends alike.

The food is surprisingly good! Got that neighborhood bar feel, reasonably priced drinks and karaoke. A special note: both the bartender and security were AMAZING. I'm a woman who was out alone and another patron wouldn't leave me alone. I mentioned it to the bartender and she and security took care of it so fast. They made sure I was safe and was able to finish my night and leave without issues!

The food here is surprisingly great. We ordered the Quesa Bites, which were shockingly good given that it's such a simple dish. The optional pork is a must, if you ask me. We also ordered the Fork It Brownie Bites but they ran out for the night, which was a big disappointment. Apparently the brownies are homemade everyday and in high-demand, which just made me want them that much more. Guess I'll just have to come by again to try them!

What a good time I had on a Thursday! The R Bar is a diamond in the rough! Who knew? They have this intimate area that is perfect for small groups like we had. This was a fab choice to have a Karaoke Birthday Party. The DJ was on point! He has EVERY song you can think of. The bar tender and staff were awesome! The food is what you need with friends, fun, drinks and a good time you will get hungry!

I came across R bar randomly when I was visiting Los Angeles. It is a cozy bar that is great for a karaoke night with friends or even if you want to catch up with friends comfortably in a corner. They serve some delicious cocktails, I remember having more than one of a particular drink but I can't remember the name. It may be one of the drinks on their special cocktails menu.

The staff are great, the vibe/atmosphere is great, the karaoke night was great...until one jackass decided to racially abuse us. We clearly were not welcome by him and and he made it very clear. We left instantly as we knew we were outnumbered and told he told us we should leave. Be careful who you let into your bar. It's a great place let down by racist customers.

Has the feel of a fun but lesser-known neighborhood bar. The bar and main floor were pretty packed for karaoke on a Saturday but there were still some tables open on the side. The doorman was super cool and came in to take a turn on the mic lol. And they make an excellent whiskey sour!

Great comfortable place, great price on well drinks. Would definitely come back here again. Definitely a "divey" feel. Apparently they have karaoke on the weekends and brunch which i've been told is fantastic. I would recommend this place to anyone who wants a nice neighborhood spot to stop and hang out at. I'll be back by here whenever I'm in town.

What a quaint little dive bar in the heart of K-town. They offer trivia and other fun events weekly. The drinks are sometimes a bit pricey but it’s definitely a cocktail bar so whatever you get in handcrafted and always delicious. It’s a smaller place but they have ample seating. Overall, very cool and worth checking out.

Greetings!! Most people talk about how great places are, but fail to come back. The R Bar was pleasantly exotic, speakeasy-ish, and had a feel of both night club and bar. The sort of nocturnal folks that patron the R Bar were your everyday people, and the overall vibe was amazing. Tiffany Roth was effing bada**! :D

Nathaniel at R bar is the absolute best bartender I've ever experienced, If I could leave a 10star review I would, he deserves a great review and some so I would like to make a note that without him being there the place just won't be the same, this review is for him. 5 stars all day. Best bartender ever …

Great local haunt with very friendly bar staff. Good beer selection and surprisingly great food. The nachos are stellar and the burgers aren’t half bad either. Depending on the night—it’s either a laid back watering hole with occasional trivia or a lively karaoke bar. Definitely check it out.

The epitome of a neighborhood dive bar and I mean that in a good way. Cheap drinks, karaoke most nights, and awesome bartenders. Alana has an infectiously happy personality which makes going there a great way to relieve some stress. Oh and she's an amazing singer on top of everything else.

Dark and kinda seedy. Reminds me of berthing on a pirate ship. It’s rustic and cozy. Perfect place to have great cocktails and conversation. They have trivia night! Tap beers are changed out regularly showcasing some of LAs finest brews. Check them out!

I have been coming to R Bar for 3 years and counting, and it has always been good music, inexpensive food, and delicious drinks. It was not until recently that my view on R Bar changed negatively. On February 11, 2023, at 11:23 p.m. I was

Menu is truly amazing. I love it. Karaoke brunch is so much fun, it's like a little family with bottomless mimosas and unique (and tasty) hangover food. Many karaoke nights and a kick ass trivia night. Don't forget to check the password!

  • Louise Jones

If it wasn't for the uniqueness factor of this place, I'd probably give it 3 stars. They have a very small cocktail/specialty menu, which was disappointing. I guess they just expect most people will have their regular drink, but I like

This place is amazing. A true gem. Nigel was fantastic and made the night! Not only with his singing but his customer service and hospitality. I can’t recommend this place enough. We all had a blast and a memory to last a life time.

Very chill on a Tuesday night - but I love the ambient very saloon like...wow. And the service is awesome...the bar tender gave us a bit of a grace period for happy hour. Asked for the strongest drink and he advised Mai tai - it's

Well I got kicked out for dancing at r bar. Guess it’s Foot Loose territory here now. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ . It used to be a dance safe bar but not anymore. Be warned if you’re looking to dance. Just fyi.

  • Julie Chung

I went here for my birthday, and it was really the best experience ever. It was my first time here and I was blown away by how nice all the waiters and waitresses were.

  • Anthony Shacar

All the charm you'd expect from an authentic LA speak easy with LA's best Negroni (chat with the bartender as they flambe the orange peel). Don't forget the password!

  • Elaine Lee

Very kind service. Was a little slow at first but then okay. It was a good place to sit around and chat. The tables were spaced well. I felt very safe sitting inside

  • Tariq Islam

Best Karaoke Bar I’ve been to in LA. The vibe is perfect. It’s a dive style bar, the staff and other guests are very welcoming and I love coming back here.

  • Jimmy Quintanilla

One of my favorite bars if not my favorite bar. It's so homey and the bartenders are top notch. Always a good time here especially for karaoke nights

Aside from the automatic 20% gratuity added to your bill if you spend over 50 bucks. It's a pretty chill spot for food and drinks …

Great friendly place. Really good people get together here and they have awesome karaoke hosts.

Very swanky bar….. wish there was more tables but in smaller portions if that makes any sense.
