So I went to this branch today to get a draft I need to make a big purchase. I was greeted by the lady closest to the entrance. She looked up my account and asked why I need that much then questioned me why the LOC had a deposit and where the deposit came from and that I was owing, yes I’m owing because I took out funds from the LOC and transferred it to my chequing account. It may sound complicated or confusito her but I clearly explained it. Ifreading th AGAIN, THIS IS HOW I GOT THE 20. So I got about 17 available on my LOC, my wife transferred it to her chequing account then realized she didn’t have her debit card with her to do the transaction. So I told her add 3 to make it 20 and put it back in the LOC. BTW we have a joint account, so then I transferred that 20 to my chequing account. THAT IS HOW I GOT 20, 17 FROM LOC, 3 FROM PERSONAL CHEQUING FROM HER OWN MONEY FROM HER PAYROLL. I don’t understand why she got confused then she told me funds cannot be released because it’s a big amound, she can’t help me and go try a different branch. Such a waste of time, I was very disappointed. I went to the other branch and told the teller what happened and she was wondering too why. It’s my account, I even showed my ID as proof. I was in the other branch for less than 5 minutes. 10827.

Great experience with Anthony La! Writing a review on here because he doesn't have a page? We originally went to a mortgage broker to learn about the whole home buying process and pre-approvals, but my colleague suggested for us to check with RBC bank and their specialists because I had expressed that I was hesitant about monoline lenders. My friend had a positive with Anthony La and referred him to me. My Verdict: Anthony was great to work with. He was open and straightforward. He works hard for his clients and will try to match any reasonable rate other banks's mortgage specialists could offer. I know this for a fact because I called up a mortgage specialist from every bank to ask about their best rates, and he was the only one who would try to get us the lowest rate. As first time home buyers, we were very satisfied with how he put our financial situation first. He met us in person, by my home, almost immediately after I contacted him. He is flexible and patient with our questions and concerns and ended up getting our preapproval and financing done very promptly. I was comfortable with reaching out to him whenever because he was excellent at communicating with us via phone calls, texts, and emails.

If your thinking about opening a business account with RBC save yourself the time and go elsewhere. I run four businesses and unfortunately 2 of them have accounts with RBC. Any bank in Canada will treat you better than RBC. Banking with RBC will make running your business miserable, they make no effort work with or assist customers and do not value customers in any way whatsoever. Other banks will recognize how your account needs to be setup and work with you to smoothly run your accounts. I have banked with BMO and Scotia for years and my experience with both of them has been great! So take your business there instead and don’t waste your time dealing with RBC. If you setup an account with RBC you will regret it for years to come. Go elsewhere.

Women at the reception is so rude and do not have any sufficient knowledge of being receptionist at bank. I went there to get 10 loonies for a $10 note; she said she cannot give me 10 loonies since I am not a RBC customer. Seriously?. This is the rudest behaviour I have ever encountered from a bank, I went to Scotiabank and they in a second asked me my name and handed me loonies. Everybody reading this, you do not want to have an RBC account or you will regret your entire life. RBC customer service is worst among all bank, go to Scotiabank. That women needs to be fired ASAP.

Went to RBC bank today to update my mortgage information that an inexperienced clerk made a mistake on 2 weeks prior. I wasn't happy as it caused my account to be in delinquent status, but one of the advisors Helen Li helped me patiently and fixed all of the mistakes made by that clerk. I was impressed with her services and professionalism when dealing with an annoyed customer on mistakes she didn't make. I left very satisfied and would recommend her if you're looking to have a good banking experience.

other reviews dont lie, this branch is horrendous, they have caused numerous errors with my bank account, mortgage, and credit card. I have paid multiple NSF fees due to their incompetence ! stay away at all costs. I will be switching from this bank so I can avoid this level of negligence. Their mortgage person (shark-something, actual real name!) has to be one of the most incompetent people to have ever stepped foot inside of an RBC branch, messed up my accounts, missed numerous appointments.

I guess I'll never know if they're good because I'm just on hold indefinitely repeatedly being told how simple, easy, and fun! it is to book an appointment online... except I cant because I dont have an account with them.. I'm trying to set up my works rrsp matching and have been on hold through various numbers for several hours.. I did speak to a human once but she transferred me immediately after finding out I needed help... It should not be this hard to give you my business.

Is there a way for a new client to make an appointment without having to sit on hold and talk to a robot that can't understand that I don't have any account number to give to it? The account I want to open apparently needs an appointment or I wouldn't be trying to make one. Hopefully you can let me know!

Dealing with Marc trying to update my mortgage was just awful. I was met with condescention, rude remarks, and unsolicited and innapropriate advice for which he had no context. To top it off, absolutely zero accountability or acknowledgement of such behavior. Unacceptable.
