Jake is an excellent physical therapist AND teacher! When I started seeing him and Rise PT I couldn’t walk without getting out of balance and dizzy. I’d had both Bell’s Palsy and Viral Labrynthitis, the latter for 5 months. After my first visit I was already feeling relief. Jake is not only knowledgeable but has a fabulous personality and sense of humor. I am a retired high school teacher. Not that I had many opportunities, but he took my teasing for “bad” grammar ( which by today’s standards aren’t) in stride Then I was privileged to see him interact with a new physical therapist that was doing some of his training with Jake, Johann. First, kudos to Rise for picking such wonderful young people to hire. Jake , has a great connection with his colleague and I suspect that I would get care as well with Johann perhaps as I have with Jake. Overall, I couldn’t be happier with my experience with Jake and Rise PT Thank you so very much!

My husband has been working with Jake Hodgens at the RISE Physical Therapy Poway location since July 2022. To say that Jake is an exceptional therapist is an understatement. He is extremely knowledgeable as well as caring and concerned for his patient's well-being. Jake is truly a credit to his profession. The location itself is very convenient for people living in the Poway/Rancho Bernardo area and the building is extremely easy to access with ample parking. Kudos also to RISE administrative staff. They have always been more than helpful when it comes to scheduling and other details of that kind.

Excellent physical therapy! Office staff and PTs are knowledgeable, friendly, concerned about patients’ safety, and great at explaining symptoms and treatment. Appointments were always on time, and they are available for email questions at any time. The office staff was excellent at explaining insurance and fees. I also liked the one-on-one, same-PT-every-time, treatment, and the comfortable size of the Poway and RB clinics.

RISE is a great resource, was given tons of exercises for my shoulder that have been great for working out a muscle knot I've had for months. I appreciated Jake's attention to detail and my particular needs, especially regarding appropriate form-- something I wouldn't and couldn't have gotten on my own! Grateful for all the help with my shoulder--even hoping to get connected back in for a recent ankle surgery!

RISE Physical Therapy is great. I have been working with Jake Hodgens (Poway) for multiple injuries this past year. He has been amazing...very detail oriented and always explains the benefit of each exercise. He has helped me with so many injuries and is always working to get me back to doing the things I love, mainly dog agility. I highly recommend Jake!!
