Unfortunately, I am done with Radio Cab. I have been a lifelong customer and until recently had never taken an Uber. We recently decided to take a taxi to a friends party on a Saturday evening. The Cabbie that picked us up was likely high on something, he kept taking about back pain, and on our ride he nearly hit a bicyclist, almost missed a turn and had to do a completely inappropriate maneuver in the middle of an intersection and then ran 2 stop signs almost t-boning another car in one of the intersections. That was bad but we survived. at 10:45 we called a cab for a ride home, we knew it would be a wait and 45 minutes later, we got a text that our cab was arriving and 1 minute later we got a text that our cabbie could not find us and had moved on. A friend who saw and attempted to hail the cab on our behalf said that he did not even stop. They likely got a call from a high roller and decided to ditch us. when I called dispatch the woman said that it was Saturday and that they are busy and we would have to wait another 45 minutes or so. SO, my friend ordered an Uber and it arrived in 3 minutes and was a very pleasant and professional ride home. I emailed Radio Cab the next day and received no reply. They obviously don't think that they have to care.

Giving two stars because my cab actually showed up. But I had tried to cancel prior, concerned about the reviews. We needed a ride to the airport and didn't want to risk scrambling for a backup ride. Their website contact box was down. Tried to call, long hold. Didn't seem to be a way to leave a quick message. I emailed the dispatch manager and decided that's the best I could do, not going to spend an hour on hold for a cab that might have not even show up or would show up anyway in spite of my efforts. They send you a confirmation text when you book online. Then a text a few minutes before the cab arrives with a map to track it. There's no other way to know your reservation went through. And no option to do anything like change reservation, etc. When the driver arrived, he called me and I had to tell him that we'd actually cancelled the ride. He was so passive aggressive about it. We were on the way to the airport and had no time for it, so I quickly apologized and hung up on him as he continued to essentially vent to me. I would much rather avoid Uber and Lyft, but that is the route we went instead.

No Show/No Notice! I scheduled a pick-up from the airport on 12/26 at 11pm a few days in advanced. I received booking confirmation # in email/text. At 11:11pm, I called the company because I haven’t received a call or text from a driver as I was still waiting for a pick-up. The operator said, they have been “waiting” for me to call and I would have to wait 2-3 hours to be picked up because I haven’t called them, which defeats the purpose of scheduling a ride a few days in advance! I told him I don’t remember receiving instructions to call them. The operator said they did not give me the instruction, but it was expected because of the weather! Well, excuse me, if you want me to confirm the ride because of the weather, it’s your job to call me to confirm; I’m not a mind reader! I ended up having to wait almost 2 hours to get an Uber and get home after dealing a very long day. The operator asked if I wanted to speak to the complaint department; I said “no” and he hung up. Terrible customer service.

I took taxi #79 on 12/29 and it was a scary experience, with the driver constantly looking down at his phone with Google Maps in his right hand while texting in between lane merges on the highway. In fact, he was so distracted that he nearly missed an exit, so he pulled over in the gore area (the triangular area in between the highway lanes and the exit ramp) and waited to exit. I completely understand that this saved me time/money as a passenger, but it definitely isn’t too much to ask for taxi drivers (real ones, not random Uber/Lyft drivers) to prioritize safety and professionalism to begin with - for the record, the car was filthy and the payment system was broken (refused to process 3 different credit cards) as well. I always love to support non-Uber-Lyft local businesses, but this was such a bad experience that I honestly can’t recommend it to anyone else. (To be fair, however, Radio Cab did provide real-time tracking and arrived exactly on time.)

In a world of Lyft and Uber it's hard to compete as a traditional taxi cab company. By breaking speed limits, driving aggressively, and building poor customer relations, they're making it worse. I called around 11:00 p.m. and asked if a cab was available that could fit my bike in it. The man said he'd put in an order but that there were no guarantees a ride big enough would be available. He said if I waited a while and no one showed up I should look at other alternatives. My phone was at a 2% charge and I was stranded outside in Portland at 11:00 p.m., so I started looking for other options. I found another ride, which was then on its way, so I called Radio Cab to cancel my order. The same man said, "oh ...they're only 4 minutes away now...". I said "I'm sorry, I still need to cancel my order.". He said "they're right around the corner". I repeated that I just needed to cancel my order, and he said "great, don't call us again".

My first time ever using radio the first day I called them they were really nice over the phone and they told me that my driver would be waiting outside to pick me up from…. This week not soo much I was stressed out I called radio cab asking to book me a ride home from work and idk if they’re not communicating correctly or using their customer service correctly, one woman over the phone said the driver should be there asap meaning 2 hrs in the pouring rain not 10 - 15 minutes! Very disappointing and the fact that it happened twice already… and the woman on the other end that works for radio cab should be talked with their supervisor… She got mad because I told her the truth she canceled my ride ride and I had to walk home in the rain ! Very unacceptable Use better communication Don’t tell me a lie over the phone! I’ve been working in customer service Ik the difference when someone is lying and someone is being truthful!

  • Matthew Quesada

The driver called and said that he was at an address that was incorrect, he had the wrong address yet I talked to the lady who dispatched the ride and she had the correct address! After I wasn't ever picked up the driver lies to the social worker who placed the order for my ride, the driver lied to her saying that when he showed u to pick me up he called and I cancelled the ride!!! This was over the top! I have a idea of what must of been going on with this situation but it would be only speculation so I will not give my opinion I will only state the facts so I can leave a non bias review, please let anyone other than this company give you a ride they really messed up my whole day I missed a very important medical appointment wich has caused me to have to reschedule and make my issues unresolved for more time than they should have to be based on this company being incompetent and untruthful.

These people can't even show up after they give you an eta you end up waiting two hours only to be told when calling asking where they are at and tell you they don't even have an driver assigned. Radio cab and Broadway cab have been around the PDX area for over 25+ years. These guys are a match flame dying quickly since the introduction of Uber and Lyft. Uber and Lyft will pick you up in 10 minutes or less usually but radio cab and Broadway cab have either 2 drivers each in their entire organizations or they are some type of shady mafia transportation that picks up the occasional random ride requested just to appear like a cab company... Or they are a shady CIA or government agency transportation that may only work if you have a newspaper and say some random but very specific phrased sentences In conversation with 3 or 4 replies designed to verify an individual's operating capacity.

Great for Airport service! TERRIBLE for Greater Area Service. If you need local or greater area service use Lyft or Uber. For airport they are reliable. This is especially true during the HOLIDAYS. They dispatch primarily to the airport + central PDX. Contrary to their website, they CANNOT provide coverage to the greater area during these times. Unfortunately, their dispatch, while nice people, cannot deny rides (be honest and tell you that it's just not going to happen) or help with scheduling. USING THE APP TO SCHEDULE DOES NOT PRE-BOOK YOUR RIDE!! Dispatch informed me that the app is not accurate when assigning drivers or providing wait times. Sadly, I had to cancel a series of rides due to their inability to provide service or communicate properly. Very frustrating. Will likely avoid using them in the future. This is regrettable as I always prefer to promote PDX businesses.

When we arrived at the train station on Saturday night, we approached a cabbie who was talking to a potential fare. After they finished their negotiations, he offered to get a cab for us. He said it was a busy night. He gave us the name of the cab company he recommended and I called. We did have to wait for a few minutes. We normally get an Uber, but we knew the hotel wasn't far away and thought their price was a bit steep. As it turned out, the cab was less than half the Uber price and the cabbie was very cordial and gave us restaurant recommendations that we have taken and enjoyed. In the past couple of days, we have used Radio Cab several times. We were also able to schedule a cab in advance for a tightly scheduled tour. The cabbie actually arrived a couple of minutes early. Perfect! They have been wonderful. We will continue to use them throughout our stay in Portland.

Utterly unhelpful, unresponsive, unable, or perhaps unwilling to take the time to answer even the most basic questions asked of them. There is a prompt when you call them giving you the option to speak with an operator, but instead it merely switches you to another long-winded, completely useless pre-recorded message. I tried texting them with a very basic question about whether it would be possible to make it to my destination within a very generous hour and a half time frame. We finally just gave up and walked to dinner. While we were eating we received a message telling us that the driver was waiting for us at the originally pick up point that we had given an hour earlier. Very substandard service in every respect. I would not recommend radio cab. Very poor service

I’ve driven for a living in Portland and elsewhere and you can’t predict who’ll appreciate what you do and tip you accordingly. But, it takes some effort on the part of the driver. If you can’t be friendly, or drive safely, or clean your vehicle, or actually pick you up at your address in lieu of the bar next door, or be courteous from time to time, try factory work. While I agree that there’s a place for taxis still (cash paying only customers), you gotta compete. Better you throw in 15% more and get real service in a better environment that has oversight as in Lyft or Uber. You also have to remember that drivers, by and large, are poorly educated and disengaged. The company likely has zero culture too. I’d like to see another company put these guys out of business.

  • meh meh

If more people call radiocab instead of Lyft or Uber, it wouldn’t take them about a half hour to show up AND you would be supporting a local business which is more important than you think. Our local economy is essential FOR you young yuppy LA transients. If you young ignorant LA people with your uncentered eyebrows and lips that look like you have a breast milk extractor hooked up to them would just realize that these cabbies need this money, they would only be like 40 mins lates and spend this money on the wares and services that portland is in DIRE need for. Once you get this thru your all the dye in your hair then you’ll understand why they’re like 50 mins late every time. Stop being selfish. Call radiocab. Call them like an hour and a half early tho. At least.

  • GhettoGirlyGirrrl

Had to give them a star. They deserve the bird . I called at 8AM to schedule a ride for a job interview at 10AM. I stressed the arrival tme of 945. Radio Cab didn't arrive to pick me up until 11AM, and hour after the interview. Also an hour after I called them off. There is no excuse for being this bad of a dispatcher. I called Metro Cab first, and he wasn't sure if he could make it time and didn't want me to be so he told me to call Radio Cab. I called him back. He won't be referring your company to anyone - not even someone he hates. FU AND YOUR MOMS AND YOUR MOMS MOMS

I thought I would give a dying industry a shot and give them my money instead of a ride share. I booked online for a ride to the airport two weeks in the future on a Saturday at 2:30 AM. Knowing that this is prime taxi time as bars are letting out I know I need to have it secured so I don’t miss my flight. Their website is not at all phone friendly but I did manage to book it for the desired date and time, or so I thought. I decided to call and make sure and an automated voice said I’m booked for a trip to PDX. Figured ok, seems set and solid. Thirty seconds later I get a call saying my Radio Cab is out front and waiting. I’m currently booked and confirmed with Lyft. This is why the industry is dying. Evolve or go extinct.

I used to get gas here, especially when portland prices were high and radio cab gas stations prices were lower, BUT if you use your card at the pump they hold over 75-150 dollars depending on how much you get at the pump. I know this is normal business, and I normally pay inside of their booth or inside of gas station stores to avoid this hold on my debit cards. There are a couple of workers that will let you pay inside the booth so that you don't have to slide your card at the pump, but if you go there later in the afternoon or evening, there is a guy there that flat out refuses to let you pay inside and says that it isn't possible to pay that way... when I pay that way every single time he isn't there... lol

  • Natalia Urdiales

I made a booking a few hours in advance so I could make it on time to my early flight. The booking was easy however no one came for me or called me so I had to cancel. I called the customer service line to ask if I would receive a refund for cancelling and the woman on the other end was extremely adamant that I wasn’t charged even though money was removed from my account. I think I will be getting a refund so I’m not very upset, I was turned off by the lack of information on the other end of the phone as well as her attitude when I just wanted to know if someone was on their way. I ended up getting a lyft for half the price. Hopefully I get refunded from radio cab.

Their drivers do not care about the law. This driver was extremely aggressive in a 20 mile an hour zone. Driving to my driver side high beaming me before passing me into oncoming traffic. I would never feel safe as a passenger in one of their vehicles. Yes, your driver beat me to the red light and became more angry when I took pictures while stopped at red light. He in turn took pics of my company vehicle. Guess what we have cameras and what is he going to report? I was driving the speed limit? called and reported the driver. It was very obvious the dispatcher did not care. If you value your safety and life I would highly recommend using another company!!!!!

I missed an earlier connection and arrived late to Portland. I needed a ride from the airport around 11:00pm, and there was a large group of people waiting for Ubers. Uber and Lyft wanted about $65 to go downtown. I called Radio Cab after searching Google, and it arrived about 12 minutes later. (I got a ride quicker than some people I saw waiting for Uber) I believe the total price came out to roughly $52. I gave the driver $60, and still saved money compared to what Uber and Lyft tried to charge before tip. Cab driver told me Uber prices constantly change by the minute based on customer demand, but taxis are always the same rate no matter what.

  • Allyson Thornton

We scheduled a 5am pick up from our hotel to get to our early morning flight. The man that scheduled our car was nice and we received a confirmation within minutes. The morning of our pick up, we called because it was after 5am and still no car. We were told that they were still searching for a driver to pick us up. We had to cancel, pay $60 for another service, and were late to the airport. I understand that there’s a shortage of workers due to the pandemic, but they shouldn’t be accepting bookings if they can’t guarantee drivers. I’m giving 2 stars because both people I spoke to were very nice, but this was still a very frustrating experience.

  • Beth Madsen Bradford

It is very important to know that when they confirm a reservation for a ride, it's not actually confirmed. I needed to get to the airport so scheduled ahead. I waited 5 minutes past, then called dispatch - my ticket hadn't been picked up, and there was no estimate of when I would have a ride. I was told I would get a call when someone picked up my ticket. I ended up calling a Lyft, and was at the airport before a Radio Cab driver called. I'm very disappointed - I would rather support a driver and veteran owned business, but I could have missed my flight if I had waited around. Don't say a ride is confirmed if it's not.

  • Dutch

I'm I'm slightly disappointed in radio cab I've always been a good customer and a really good tipper as a wheelchair user in the past I have used them and they've been good to me the gentleman that answered the phone a few days ago was very rude and unhelpful telling me that I could not get a cab to go out to where I needed to go and bring that person back you made it difficult and argumentative I do not appreciate at all so today radio cab is rude and unjust in the way they treat people in in discriminately it's how they feel when they feel as though didn't want to get with you such as Domino's will hang up on you

  • Fulldistance Going

These guys have no clue. If they are running late or don’t have anything available tell the client. But no. Nada. No comms. I almost missed my train. I had to scramble and get an Uber last literal minute and just made it to the train…..would have been a nightmare if I had missed the train. I had called the Radio Cab ONE hour and twenty minutes before my train departure time. So I waited a long time. Bogus. Will never use them again. If they were running late they should have called me 10 minutes after my pick up time and told me to make other arrangement or done something. But crickets from them. Bad bad bad.

  • Christina McKenna

I booked two separate trips. One ride to PDX and one home. The first driver was really good. On time and understanding that his passengers were not talkative so earlier in the morning. Got us to our destination with no problem. Our second driver home, was also nice but was hard to find. I had left instructions to where we would be waiting. He called us to tell us that he was on another level down that I was not aware of. Went down and had to call him back as we could not find him. Found him soon enough with help. He also understood that our group was tired from traveling. Nice job Radio Cab.

  • Shelly Houska

I was picked up from Kaiser ER because I was taken there by ambulance from office appt. I had at Rockwood Kaiser. The guy who picked me was a saint. He was way earlier than the dispatcher said. He was so nice and we had great conversation ride back to the Rockwood area. It was dark now and the neighborhood not the best so he waited me to me to get in and start car and go. We need more of this kind of man’s behavior, genuine kindness and concern for a total stranger. Thank you. I wish I remembered your name. If I took cab ride again, I’d want you as my driver. I thank you kindly. Shelly

  • Joe Willis

After watching the actions of cab #30, I.can guarantee NONE of my businesses will use this service. Between the lane dancing on I5 Between Oregon and Washington, as well as speeds in excess of 70 mph, this place should be shut down. If one calls to complain, they get an answering machine that NEVER responds. I hope you all go broke. However, I am very concerned about the unsafe, even combative driving techniques the drivers use. Plus, every bad review thay get gets a dismissive Thank you for your feedback. I personally will take a personal intetest in seeing them lose $$$.

  • Gail Dieringer

We booked a cab to pick my elderly mother up at 3 am on Thanksgiving morning to catch a flight out to see us. She called to confirm it with them the night before as well, but nobody showed up. She called them in a panic, and they said “oh yeah, nobody is available.” They didn’t even call her to let her know they weren’t going to honor the reservation! She had to scramble to make other arrangements at the last minute to catch her flight. We will never use this service again and would not recommend their terrible service to anyone else. If I could give zero stars, I would!

  • S V

Really horrible experience calling them to try to book a ride to the airport. The person I was talking to suddenly got intensely aggressive and said I had an outstanding bill of over $95 that was associated with my phone number and he could not speak to me further. I live in a different country and this number is an unlimited SIM card number for the month so that is not possible. It was very jarring the way he spoke to me. He told me I could call back tomorrow and get it sorted out. Why would I EVER call back if this is the baseline for costumer service for this company

  • Brandi Thomas

I missed the taxis call but I seen him outside and I yelled at him to hold on as he was out of his car fixing a seat belt in the back seat he acted like he didn't hear me and as I was almost to him he hurry and took off so I called the number back and he didn't answer so I called the taxi back and told them what happened and he said he would send another one out and never did so I was like an hour late to where I was supposed to be just really frustrating they shouldn't lie to people if there not coming then u would think being a business they would be more professional

  • Cat

Made a reservation for a ride to the airport. I specifically noted that we would have a lot of baggage and a cat because we were moving across country. The driver who arrived did not seem to be aware of these facts, and we almost couldn’t fit everything in the car. In addition, he didn’t listen to me about handling a box that was labeled as fragile and with one end designated up, and he placed it on its side. He also played the radio very loudly for the whole trip, which made conversation difficult. Kudos for being on time, but overall it was an uncomfortable taxi ride.

  • Jeanna Hall

We reserved a taxi a day prior for a pick up to the airport at 3:45 am. No taxi arrived. We called dispatch at 3:50 to confirm they were coming. The dispatcher said there were “no cabs in our zone” but they would keep us posted. At 4:15 am, we requested an Uber and by 4:25 it arrived. The Radio Cab dispatcher called and said they arrived and even called us. NOT TRUE! We cancelled the cab. Thankfully, Uber got us to the very busy airport and we just made our flight. Disappointed Radio Cab dispatcher did not even apologize after this poor service. This is unacceptable!

  • RipCityEDC

First off the operator was rude when I ask them how much it would cost me to get to my destination and he had the audacity to say “oh my god” when I asked that question and he repeatedly asked the same question when I’ve already answered the phone operator and second off the driver gave me an attitude when he came to pick me up, it makes me feel like he doesn’t respect and appreciate his customers. My recommendation is If you want to go somewhere take Uber or Lyft and this was my first time ordering a cab from Radio cab and a customer gets treated like that.

  • Dorothy Fletcher

I didn't go to the cab location. I was at the U-haul store in Milwakie after returning my rental without a ride home. I called Radio Cab and I was very grateful for the quick arrival of my cab. It was cold and wet and late in the evening. My driver (I can't remember his name but he was from the East Coast) was really nice, and still professional. I had my large dog with me, and he was perfectly at ease in the cab which surprised me. He is usually on alert around strangers. So, my experience was a very pleasant one. A welcome ending to a very stressful day.

  • Emily Templeton

I used Radio Cab's pre-booking feature on its website to transport someone from Molalla to Downtown Portland in the morning, then back in the afternoon. Neither Lyft nor Uber serviced Molalla. The drivers were on time, courteous, and friendly. The dispatch answered right away when I called to confirm the pick up date and time AND when I called day-of to arrange an earlier pick up than was originally scheduled in the afternoon. The cars were clean and both driver's drove safely and cautiously. I will definitely be using Radio Cab again in the future.

  • KP PDX

Just absolutely god awful customer service like everywhere else in this city. Put 5 bucks in the car wash and it immediately stops working. Tell the worker on shift about it and I’m automatically treated like an idiot and that I broke it. Then tells me, “Yeah, that’s not my department…” It was such a bad experience it’s almost laughable. Teach your workers the very basics of respect in customer service. People are tired of spending money at businesses just to be treated like an inconvenience. Oh, and you owe me 5 bucks…

  • J. Kimberly Walker

BEST EVER FOR IMPORTANT MOMENTS! I use the city pick up apps when time..doesn't matter. My Friday ride was very important, it was getting me, on time to my day surgery. Booked my ride the night before. Arrived early, my driver WAA THE BEST! We talked the whole ride about a myriad of things. He set me up for my surgery...BEST! My triage team asked me why I wad so calm? I was prepared for the surgery, but my lovely driver...made 6.30 am pick up...the best start to any stressor! ❤️❤️❤️ Radio Cab and their reliability!!!!

  • Michele Arndorfer

I called them and they said they couldn't pick me up at the Event Center because it was being blocked off by the traffic people then I walked down the road fell down a ditch literally and then called them back and said I'm where I'm at and the lady said it would cost me 80 bucks and they won't come pick me up until I pay the payment I said okay well the cab driver never came to pick me up and never called me to get the payment so I was stuck by myself on the side of the freeway in the middle of the night with no ride

  • Andrew Hinojosa

I visit overnights and they have vacuums that are free to use but for things like small messes not for detailing your entire car, normally with the purchase of gas and car wash you can lightly use as well as there free air pump and I believe they may even have a water pump for your window washing fluid. People are always chill and they have a repair bay for vehicles as well. Kind of a one stop shop for your vehicles needs if you use them more regular and the gas is cheaper than most of the other places downtown.

  • Thomas Kukkola

I am Special Needs and the other day I got called into work. I booked a Cab to take me to work. I got the notification that they where in my driveway and I didn't see them so I canceled it and ordered a new one after about 2 minutes the original cab pulls out of my neighbors driveway their is a huge fence and I can't see next door. He says he was their for me 2nd cab canceled and went with the original driver. I got charged 25 Dollars each time and now I am completely out of money till next Friday.

  • Annie Z

All I wanna to say is this company is horrible running its businesses. My husband booked a taxi to airport on its website and ended up charged him twice with full payments online& the driver asked for the payment. He was told the amount booked online was just an estimate not a real charge. The driver used a devise running the transaction showing CMT Portland on the credit card. Called the credit card to dispute the charges, not sure if or when we will get the refund. Stay away from this company!!!

  • Gregory Martin

Ever since 1st.start taking care of my very best friend that I thought was a 2nd.Dad to me he allways told me to call radio Cab-Taxi and I would call them and within minutes they show up and take me and glen or just me,every driver was super nice and polite and I allways tip them good cuz like taxi drivers, bar tanders, they live off of tips, you allways tip it just the right thing two do.Thanks to all of the radio Cab-Taxi drivers I sure do really appreciate your help. Thanks

  • Deonte Powe

I’m a bartender and have depended on radio can for years. They’ve been letting me doing more often than not. Drivers taking “wrong turns” and making the trip much longer than it needs to be. Pretty much prowling on customers especially if they’re drunk. Or like today where I mad a booking literally an hour ago and not a single notification. Everyone wants to complain about Uber and Lyft taking money from local businesses but when they operate like this it’s justified.

  • Jeffry Howard

I cut my foot and needed stitches. I called Radio and they said could be 20 minutes so I said ok. After 30 minutes I called back. The guy said as soon as they had someone in the area! After an hour I finally found gave up and found a neighbor at home who could drive me to urgent care. No wonder Uber and Lyft are taking over. Can’t get a freaking cab no matter what! Thank God I didn’t bleed to death. I would NEVER call Radio Cab again for as long as I live

  • Jenni Jurisch

Whoever picked my daughter, her boyfriend & myself up last night around 9pm at Multnomah falls was the absolute worst taxi experience I've ever had. Noone should ever have to feel unsafe in public transportation. The only time the driver went the speed limit was when we passed a cop. He was going 50 miles an hour in a 25 at night around corners. He drove 80 in a construction zone where the speed limit was 45. I will never use radio taxi again for this reason.

  • Esther Collado

Today I had the worse experience ever,at this moment I am getting better from a perfume allergy. The van that picked me up today had a strong cologne in , that I almost throw up. In my opinion these cabs shouldn't have these strong perfumes because like my case you dont know if the customer has an allergy. I didn't know I did until today. I told the man to wait for me because I had a situation going on otherwise I would not stay. I hope I get better soon.

  • Trish Campbell

Had an online cab reservation 5 hours before needed pick up time. 20 after reservation, still no cab. I called their dispatcher, was told I shouldn't have been able to reserve a time so far ahead. WTH is the online reservation for! Asked an ETA... no one had even been dispatched! Was told when a driver happened to be in my neighborhood I'd get picked up. A similar thing happened to a friend about 6 months ago. I've used Radio Cab for years, never again!

  • Carson Hugill

I landed at pdx after scheduling a cab to pick me up and the cab took far longer to get to get to me than they said. Both routes available would have taken 33 minutes to get me home one route was 22 miles and the other was 16 miles. When I scheduled they told me it would cost about $60, but because my driver selected the longer route it cost $85. He was also eating seeds and driving with one hand on a windy road. 0/10 I’ll take an Uber next time :/

  • Sean Gilbert

Can companies like this are why Uber and Lyft exist. Their dispatchers are generally rude and arrogant. I’ve tried calling them three times for service and have yet to actually see any of the three cabs I’ve ordered. Maybe he’s still looking for a driver in my area while making excuses? It’s cute that they’re trying to hold onto a dying service, but maybe it’s time to pull the plug. It’ll definitely make the streets a little safer at least.

This one star rating is for the woman who works this 3:30 am schedule. she is very racist whenever she calls she makes fun of the accent she uses when speaking english. I don't reserve any taxi, she told me, when you can pronounce English, she's fine, she calls back. racist and rude. the other men who work answering the phone understand me perfectly what a coincidence she doesn't understand. I don't know if she will use the service again

  • Andrew Caswell

I put my intoxicated customers in Radio Cabs when they leave the bar I work at. Today, I had a dead battery, and looked up various roadside assistance companies. The going rate was $50-$80 for a tow truck to arrive. I remembered seeing somewhere that Radio Cab does jump start services. I called dispatch, and found out it was only $15. Driver arrived in about 7 minutes. They beat tow company rates and response times.

  • David Wade

Called for a cab ten-twelve blocks from dispatch hq. Was told 5-10 minutes eta. Explicitly explained that I was asking wait time because I was buying ice cream on 86 degree day. Can arrived 28 minutes later. Upon leaving store after pick up, driver immediately turned exactly opposite of only way to destination, assumedly to try to pad fare. Extremely rude when I asked him to drive directly to destination.

  • Joseph Stewart

Very accommodating and courteous. My Uber canceled on me for a 4am ride to the airport. Called them and they were there to pick us up in 5 minutes and the price was basically the same as Uber. Super nice driver and we had a ton of luggage that he figured out how to get in the car. Driver was safe and got us to the airport on time. I will not use Uber again in Portland. I will use this company every time.

  • Becky Christie

Despite their claims they will make a reservation for you unlike Lyft or Uber, they only have it in their system that you request that time, and don't actually send a cab to your location to pick you up when needed. Have a flight to catch? Too bad!! And you call them to ask where your driver is and they don't apologize... They just say the driver will be on the way when someone picks up the order.

  • Little Monster789

Gary Swift is absolutely amazing. He helped us after we were stranded for several hours. We got to see him another time for another ride. Both times he has been professional, caring and as an added bonus, a funny conversationalist. We appreciated his driving and help immensely and highly recommend him especially for any wheelchair bound friends. Thank you, Gary!

  • Flawless Shade

25 Minute wait, no updates to let you know where they are or how far away they are so youre stuck wondering if they are ever coming. They have your number why can’t they send updated text messages or phone calls. Seems like a very outdated system. Customer support when I called the most recent time was actually nice (which is why I gave them 3 stars rather 2)

  • Jeri Fuller

I called to find out if I could order a cab for a later time. The dispatcher was very kind, but clear. Cabs were on a first come first served basis. It had been a partial snow day for the city and the slush was melting fast. I got my answer and made my decision. If I needed a Radio cab I would be sure to call them but my driver was willing to face the roads!!!

  • Dallas McMackin

I’ve always preferred cabs to Uber or any of the others, not just for the longevity, but the tradition, the way as if you already know the person in the car, and how they genuinely each seem to care for your well-being, and the care they take towards your physical and personal well being. I’ll always go a radio Cab!’ always have, always have, always will!

  • Cody Larsen

My girlfriend and I live in Ontario OR. with no vehicle. We had to be in Portland for our daughter's surgery. We got discharged on a Sunday( Today's date) with no way home. But one of the owners of Radio Cab took on the task of driving us home, 6+ hours. Very generous and thoughtful for them to do thus. Highly recommend for people in the Portland area.

  • Anne-Claire Weil

Since 1946 this company exists please check there the history it is nice to read it and have the details. You can have some gasoline entering in the middle of this historical building - should be protected by the historical monument society of Portland- I recommend this local business maybe there will make a Fidelity card for customers should be on !

  • Josh Butler

Normally have a good experience with their gas station but was made to feel really uncomfortable by the man handling gas today at around 3:00PM. He made rude comments when my wife politely asked for help with air—something she has done numerous times before. Not sure what we did to deserve that treatment but it makes us hesitant to return.

  • tiny chat

They have less than 4 stars for a reason. The drivers are extremely unsafe. They seem to routinely have close calls, as if they need to meet a quota on NDE’s. The operators are offensive in tone and exert so much displeasure about their lives and working at Radio Cab it will make you download one of the apps instead. Stay far away.

  • Mackenzie Mayerik

We got a cab ride to the airport at 3am because we were worried we would have issues with Lyft/Uber at that time. Easy scheduling, called dispatch in the morning to check on the ride, they arrived a few mins early and got us to our destination with no issues. Was about the same price an Uber would have been, maybe slightly cheaper.

  • Tammy Burke

Rode with an awesome driver today, VERY safety conscious (wasn't on his phone, both hands on the wheel at all time, etc) didn't surprise me to hear he's never had an accident in all his decades of driving that was caused by him. If every driver with this company are like him, Portland's passengers are well cared for. Thanks Vern!

  • Kyle Hughes

Can't relate to the other reviews here that did not enjoy their experience, but I got nothing bad to say here. We were concerned a Lyft might be unreliable at 3 am for an early flight and our hotel suggested them. They showed up right on time, driver was polite and the fare was cheaper than other options including a nice tip

  • Susie Higgins

I called a cab for a woman who was in distress. I explained to the dispatcher the ride was not for me, but the woman assured me she could pay for the ride. Later that evening, I received a message from the Radio Cab driver, letting me know he had answered the call and taken the woman to her destination. I didn't expect that!

  • Jennifer Franklin Nowell

I just took radio cab and I called them after 1:00 in the morning. I had them pick me up at a random spot and they were there within a timely fashion. The driver was super sweet and fun to talk to. Overall it was just a really great experience. I definitely will be calling them again in the future. Thank you radio cab 106.

  • Ingrid Doerksen

When the hospital arranged for this trip,, we were told 1 hr wait. After waiting 70 minutes, I called and was told the driver had been there an hour ago and left. Was told to go through the process again. I declined. They must not appreciate the fares they get from local hospitals? I'm sure it wasn't a pro bono trip....

  • Jason Plummer

So scheduled a pickup several days in advance to take us to the train station at 6:45am. Got a confirmation text. Morning of, 7am rolls around and no taxi yet so I call. Dispatcher says they haven't even sent a cab yet and she had no idea what time one would arrive. Seriously? Last time we try Radio Cab

  • david duffy

I had booked a taxi to take me to the airport early in the morning. 5 minutes after the taxi was due to arrive I called to confirm. I was told the same line twice that I will receive a text when one is available. 15 minutes after it was due, still no text. Absolutely no reason to depend on this service.

  • Franklin Bohn

I called from a hospital. The woman on the other end of the line was extremely condescending. She raised her voice at me. I explained that I didn't know know what hospital I was at. She replied with "that's why I am raising my voice at you." Don't bother seeking help from them. I am riding the bus now.

  • Dakota Ramsey

It makes sense to ride with radio regularly, especially if you need a ride home on a frequent basis after work. They will notice and show up for you more quickly. That and they don't have surge pricing as lyft and uber often have in unfriendly weather conditions. Thanks radio cab! Give them same love.

  • Ian Justice

Their drivers don’t seem to care about anyone’s safety. I’ve nearly been hit by 3 of their drivers in the past 2 weeks and I’ve seen them nearly hit other people on multiple occasions. I would never feel comfortable riding in one of their cars because of the carelessness I’ve seen from their drivers.

  • Grant Williams

They could have communicated with me MUCH better at dispatch. Once I finally got my cab everything was wonderful. The driver was very pleasant and helpful. She was apologetic for the wait time we experienced. I was really disappointed initially, but I'm the end I got home quickly and safely.

  • Jackie

Cab#180arived refused to take my wheel chair and then almost hit my friend. Very disrespectful when I called to complain dispatch was also disrespectful. I was told a supervisor would call me back. Noone ever called. If u like some gaslighting with your ride. Radio cab will accommodate you.

  • Kristin White Sloan

We had a reservation and got notice at the pickup time that they cancelled us! We had to be at the airport at a certain time for wheelchair and unaccompanied minor service, and we absolutely could not have rescheduled the flight. Unacceptable, will NEVER use or recommend this taxi service.

  • Jules F

I did a time call last night for radio to pick up a client and deliver them to me for their appointment today. RADIO CAB NEVER SHOWED UP!!! No phone call, No nothing!! I lost income, my client lost out, and I'm frustrated! I called radio and they acted like that's just the way it goes!!

  • Dawn O'Donnell

Oh my goodness! This cab company is amazing. If you are needing a cab, while in Portland, only call Radio Cab. They were the only cab company that would accommodate my husband and I while in Portland for 48 hours. I can't say how great they are. Thank you for everything

  • Elsa H

I've been in Portland since 1990 and have used Radio cab even as a kid. They have never disappointed me. They have great drivers and wonderful dispatch. If you call to schedule a week in advance (like to the airport), they will for sure deliver. Keep up the great work!

  • Deborah M Travis

I was in a pickle, called Yellow cab they ended up stating they could not even provide me a ride. Called radio she was there in a jiffy little less than ten minutes helped me with my bags even, got me to my new place safely and promptly which I really appreciated.

  • Lilith

They’re cash paying options are good but not all of their drivers make you feel safe. They are also very inconsistent with their pricing. They are however quick to fix problems so that’s a positive. Amir is a good driver just don’t ask for him on his days off

  • Bryan Maciag

Favorite gas station in Portland. You drive inside the building and pull up to the full Service pumps. Friendly attendance your out of the weather and able to check all your fluids clean your windows and drive out the other side. Its absolutely wonderful

  • Edward Chin

Fast and friendly service. The driver greeted me when I entered the cab, and made me feel welcomed and not just another fare. The cab was clean and the driver took the fastest route to my requested destination. I will use Radio Cab again and again.

  • Kristin Pdx

Haven't used them in awhile and called for some customers that needed a ride. They were very nice and much more efficient than what I remember using them years ago. They text me a map with their location and called when they arrived. Def recommend.

  • Maria C

Radio Cab literally distributes their information to bars to use and I contacted them tonight to call a cab for a customer that is at the bar I work at to get him home safely. Operator literally tells me to call a different cab company and

  • Debbie M

Radio Cab provided fantastic service for me in SW Portland twice in the past week. Drivers were prompt, friendly, took direct routes to my destinations, assisted with getting in and out of vehicle, provided easy to use credit card payment

  • Andrew Haskell

I did not use radio cab but had a experience on the road with one of there drives. Whoever was driving vehicle 64 tonight 1/29/22 in portland oregon was all over the road, had their phone directly in front of there face, wasn't using turn

  • TJX fam

We asked for a return ride... we waited for over 20 min. For them to pick us up. So we walked to the next store & they could not wait for us, to get thru the line. They talked to us and said they will wait. 5 min. As soon as we checked

  • Alan Spriggs

Easy to work with and made my day a little brighter because of that. Solved the issue and they arrived within 20 minutes to save the day for jump starting a car. Yes, I said for jump starting a car. They do this. What? That's awesome.

  • 691pdiddy

We used them yesterday and it was fine . Today they completely left us high and dry. We pre ordered a half hour in advance . Then they did not show , they sent a text that they were late and wound dispatch a cab ASAP. Then 20 mins

  • Kimberley Bishop

They sent a cab all the way out to Mollla and were on time! Had a great conversation with the driver the whole way into Portland. The price was better than Lyft or Uber who couldn't even provide service from my pickup location.

  • Heidi Hansen

They used to be a great service but not now! Waited three hours yesterday. When I called, they told me they had no cabs in SW Portland at the time. That is supposed to placate 3 hours of wasted time? Will never use them again.

  • Stephanie Brown

Fast. I have used radio cab for 18 years and they've always been great. They have had tracking where your cab is for several years now and I love it. Tbh I did try to call union cab first this time, and couldn't find the #.

  • Jake Jendusa

Very unfriendly and rude driver, got lost three times in a 2 mile drive, berated me for not leaving a tip. Uber and Lyft would have been much cheaper, friendlier, and driver wouldn't have gotten lost but my phone had died.

  • MegΔ CHΩNG

Drivers are kind and the rates are decent but when I call for a cab they take awhile to arrive and call me asking if I still need a ride. How bout you show up like your supposed to instead of second guessing me when

  • Sandra Belcourt

I expected above Uber price and service.. but I expected wrong. My driver Spencer greeted me with a smile a great music selection and diligent driving. The only drag is sometimes the waiting time is really long.

  • Mr. Cheese

Sean was AWESOME! Great service, kind man, I couldn't have asked for a better driver. Thank you very much Sean. You truly blessed me today.. That was can 62. I offered this review because he surely deserves it!!

  • Jewely Ann Hedglin-Fontenot

Didn't use them. However they are recommended as the best cab company. The drivers are always nice, courteous and genuinely care about people. Keep up the excellent service. Jewely Fontenot future passenger.

  • Kim A

My go to when I need to a ride to PDX. I've used them for several years now and have never had a problem. They arrive when they say they're going to, the drivers are always polite, the cars are always clean.

  • Barbie Dice-E-Fraguadas

Joined the app. Set up a date and time. Cab showed up the wrong time. Tried to reschedule barley getting to where I needed to be and got a call from the first guy again saying he was waiting for me....

  • Lenore Black

Awesome, showed up while I was on line and waited without hesitation. Very courteous and efficient. Prices fair and helped me load & unload my groceries which is something LYFT DEFINITELY DOESN'T DO!
