I visited RVC from out of town today, after searching online for all the churches within walking distance of where I was staying. I love love loved it! It way exceeded my expectations—a diverse congregation, simple and heartfelt worship singing of old hymns and new songs, passionate expository preaching from Galatians 2, with real present-day applications as to how we as Christians can function better as salt and light within our current culture. The church is connected to the vibrant Union Gospel Mission to homeless men and women in Seattle. (They even serve breakfast to everyone and anyone off the streets on Sunday morning before the service). The pastor made time to talk and pray with me afterwards. And you know a church is friendly when they feed you after the service and two different parties offer you a ride home! I will definitely return to this church whenever I’m back in Seattle!

RVC is a welcoming church for folks from all walks of life. It's a smaller church with songs (contemporary & traditional), preaching, communion, and a kids ministry for ages 6 months - 6th grade. Been attending since its launch in 2015. Highly recommend it!

Great preaching and a welcoming and caring community. A place to grow and learn, and place to know other christians and be known by other christians.

I have been going there for some time now. Everytime I leave there, I have learned something new. I feel blessed and wonderful all at the same time.

Sound Biblical theology, the members are warm, friendly, loving and down to earth. Christ centered fellowship as it should be!

Rainier Valley Church has been a wonderful home to our family over the last year and we are deeply thankful for this church.

My church family since 2012 when we were still part of Mars Hill Church. Love (and hate and love again) these people.

Join us for worship and potluck dinner following the service every Sunday at 4pm on Beacon Hill in South Seattle.

I would say 5 stars, but too many 5 stars makes it look un-realistic. Ha!
