Rated Ultra Lounge has by far been a great addition to the regular night clubs my friends and I go to. The owners and their staff are extremely friendly and accommodating. Just a couple weeks ago, I spent my birthday here, had a table reservation and bottle service. One of the notable experience I had when it comes to their customer service was the attentiveness of our designated server that night. She was keen enough to observe that my glass was almost empty while I was dancing on the dance floor. She approached me and offered to make me a drink, which I found very sweet and thoughtful. Sometimes in other clubs, you always have to look for your server because they’re MIA. So when it comes to level of service, definitely a 5 star. I also admire how this night club tries to cater to different types of customers with varying tastes of music genres. Every now and then, they would also bring in different types of DJs who are new to the scene to give them some exposure. So my advice to first time visitors, don’t be upset or disappointed if you come and see yourself not vibing with the music because it isn’t your taste, it’s okay. It’s not the club’s fault. You just happened to have come at a wrong night. Overall, the birth of Rated Ultra Lounge has made the partying scene in Calgary more competitive. Back then, we only had 2-3 favorites. This one has now been added to the list. One area of improvement that I think (which I’m not sure whether it’s within the control of management or the lessor of the venue) is the ventilation. It can get mildly hot inside after a few minutes of dancing. But good thing they have a very wide and open parking space just outside the entrance. It’s easy and quick to grab some fresh air and cool up a bit before going back to the dance floor.

A newer house/trance nightclub located just off Riverfront Ave - just opened in January 2023, I was told. Entrance and parking is off Riverfront Ave, however take note, the lot is NOT paved. It's a cozy nightclub, fairly small, with 6 booths/tables; 3 right off the dance floor, and appears to be reserved for bottle service exclusively, and 3 off the bar, which not surprisingly, weren't being used at all as you can't see the dance floor properly, and you can't see the screens/DJ at all. So unless your in the "bottle" group, expect to be standing the entire evening. Cover typically $20 on Friday and Saturday. Drinks $15.75 for a double, basically $20 with tip. Bottle service $200+, depending on bottle. Nice vibes with projection screens and a monitor around the DJ booth. Sound was decent, good bass and DJs doing a great job on the drops. I went on Saturday later in the evening, and service at the bar was attentive and quick. Only one suggestion, the ramp to the entrance, has no railings. I can see this being a major liability if two people start an argument outside. It's a bar, it's only a matter of time before someone gets pushed off that ramp.

I'm really loving this bar! My husband and I went there for an event that was hosted by Dojo Entertainment, and loved the atmosphere they've created. Kind of like being underwater in an aquarium, but not in a tacky overdone way. The bathrooms are all individual locking rooms with toilet sink and mirror! I rather enjoyed that aspect. Also... serving up a tanqueray and tonic for a reasonable $8 price point. Skilled Bartenders. Gorgeous turntables and a pretty decent sound system had me dancing all night long! Loved having many places to sit as well!! Made for a much nicer experience when my legs eventually got tired from all that dancing.

1 star is less than this place deserves. My girlfriend and I spent well more than 2000 dollars at this establishment only to be kicked out for spending 5-10 minutes in the bathroom. I was optimistic on having my girlfriends party here only to be told to leave for a petty reason. On top of all of this I was told by the owner that the bouncer did not ask us to leave, when in fact he was the first person to tell us we need to leave. The service was EXCELLENT but the management would be a sorry excuse to even mention as "credible" service. It's an easy decision to never come back here again Clearly

The experience I had was quite disappointing. After spending over a grand getting bottle service getting shots and just having a good time celebrating a birthday party, we were kicked out by a bouncer because two buddies went to the bathroom together, and “we’re in there to long “ no drugs were involved nothing. Just two guys having a chat standing in the bathroom. The bouncer seen it as two gay guys and kicked them out for no reason other then they were in the bathroom for too long. Management could keep a better eye on power hungry employees

So I decided to plan my birthday party at Rated Ultra Lounge with about a group of 15 people and we all had an amazing experience! It's a very unique venue unlike any other place I've seen in Calgary with hands down the BEST sound quality and 3D visuals that leave you lost in a trance on the dance floor! The staff and doormen were also professional and helpful making the our night totally seamless. I would highly recommend this venue to anyone looking to have a fun night out in Calgary!!

What an awesome club! Love that we have this in Calgary. Spent New Years Eve there and it was a great party! Danced all night (the sound system is top quality and the DJ's were awesome) and our waitress was fast with the drinks which were reasonably priced! As a woman I felt very safe with the security on staff and it's very well lit outside. Also love that if there is a line up, you get to wait inside!! Where is warm! 10/10 recommended this venue for your next night out!

I’ve been here twice now, and enjoyed both times! They have a Void sound system, and they’ve tuned it really well, so the music is not too loud. The entrance can be a bit tricky to find if you’ve never been there. (It’s closer to the Reconciliation Bridge) Their cocktails are really tasty, and there’s lots of booths for sitting, but also lots of space for dancing. The only thing they REALLY NEED is some FANS, cuz it gets HOT in there when there’s lots of people dancing!

Rated Ultra Lounge hosted my birthday party last weekend and they went above and beyond! Coordinating bottle service before hand was a breeze, the owner was very welcoming and friendly making sure we had everything we needed. Bottle service attendants did such a great job providing top tier service. Music and atmosphere is always a good time here. You get a wonderful night out experience here. 10/10 would recommend!!

Upon my first visit, I wanted to try something new and was surprised by the $20 cover but was already devoted to checking out this new venue. When I entered I was confused on the cost of the cover due to the lack of people and the lack of promotion of the DJ or anything to do with the venue even before entering the venue. Ultimately felt unsafe and uncomfortable the whole time. Left after 20 minutes.

Very cool lounge, where people can chill sitting down on couches while listening to always different DJ each Friday and Saturday night or dancing while feeling the vibe of house music. The atmosphere was really nice, when used projectors and TV screen for visual effects. Bouncers seemed to be very kind while doing their job keeping everyone safe. I'll be back again dancing my worries away

My experience at Rated was awesome! Celebrated new years there and the music, service and atmosphere was great. I felt very safe, the place is very clean, cool visuals and some of the best quality house music in the city. My drink recommendation is the Dynasty - so delicious if you like a sweet drink. Will definitely be visiting Rated again!

Went to Rated Ultra Lounge for New Years. We had a blast! This place has an amazing sound system and the DJ's that played were able to take full advantage of it! The drinks were great and they put on an amazing audio visual display. Highly recommend if you are looking for a place to get out and enjoy some amazing drinks and dance.

I don't think I've ever been so surprised in a bar before. We went to see a local DJ, it was slow and not many people there is nowhere to sit unless you pay for bottle service. I ordered a gin and tonic. $18 with the tip. The bartender asked me if I wanted a receipt and I said yes absolutely, otherwise no one will believe me.

Not all places can be five stars and there were a few reasons this place was not. Sound system was mediocre, visuals were shining in the DJ's eyes and body, their best whisky was Canadian club and it had a funny dirty smell. Really hot and sweaty too. Nice enough staff though . …

Highly recommend this place. Probably my favourite bar in Calgary right now. Great atmosphere, killer sound and visuals. Probably some of the best bartenders in the city, try the whisky sour or the old fashioned, you won’t believe it didn’t come out of an expensive steak house.

love this spot! it’s got a very low pro underground vibe, with top of the line sound and light system. not to mention my personal favourite DJ of ALL TIME has a brand new, yet longest running, residency on sundays! which makes it my brand new favourite place in town. period.

The lounge needs to have its roof repaired. The light bulb in the entrance was leaking water and there is massive water damage to the walls. Doesn't feel safe. Laser show was dope, staff were patient and responsible. Music was bumpin'

Calgary FINALLY has a beautiful spot for a nice evening out. The place is chic and polished with fantastic drinks. Service and drinks were absolutely top notch. We can’t wait to go back with friends and clients!
