I left feeling I paid to lose money. My taxes are somewhat complicated with self employment income, salaried income, rental properties, and a foreign property. I decided to use a CPA to see if there were benefits over doing them myself with Turbo Tax. I felt like they were overwhelmed and did not really have time to consider my tax situation. I paid over $800 and my visit with them to go over my taxes before they filed them they had left off several thousand dollars in deductions related to a sale of a rental property. They also never suggested that I consider doing anything like setting up a SEP IRA to defer some self employment income for retirement and didn't give me any advice on anything helpful. I contacted them in February of 2016 for 2015 taxes so I understand there were some things that could not be done, like setting up a solo 401K, but that wasn't even brought up. I later paid them to file paperwork for a foreign property I own and paid over $300 for that. I never received the actual paperwork that was filed for the property and since I elected not to use them this year I asked for the paperwork but did not receive it. I was not going to write a review but since I've sent 3 or 4 emails over the last 3 months requesting the same paper work and haven't received a response and I felt I had a bad experience, I decided I should.

AVOID - Bait and switch: I scheduled an appointment to discuss a very specific tax issue, looking for someone to guide me through it and then handle my future taxes. I met with "Roger Ray", who claimed to understand my issue and instructed me how to move forward. I provided all requested documents, sent a follow-up email, and heard NOTHING for weeks. After Roger forwarded my case to the real accountants in the office, they provided an entirely different strategy/instructions for my issue. I had no choice but to close my case with Ray CPA and pay for their BS consultation. Thanks for wasting my time and money.
