ABUSIVE!! AVOID!!! Last night I went to this place, my LOCAL convenience store and was ABUSED, SWORN AT and THREATENED by the OLDER MAN (50-60's) who was working here. I am from New Zealand and asked a simple question - "where are you from?" in a kind manner because I was genuinely interested (one guy who serves me there is Japanese which is a language I studied for 4 years and I spoke a little of his language to him - it was no big deal). This man last night EXPLODED with rage that was completely unnecessary and violent. I am so upset about this and should have called the police but I was in a state of shock. I do not understand why he was so upset about this innocent question and then proceeded to THREATEN ME and take pictures of me. People ask ME all the time here in TORONTO where am I from and I gladly reply with "I'm from New Zealand and I'm Indigenous Maori" and I'm pleased to share this. I am shaken today and have been crying - this was ABSOLUTELY unwarranted, cruel, threatening and I was scared. Another man outside saw the man abusing me and asked me from his car "are you alright?" he was very concerned. Please, DO NOT GO TO THIS STORE, there is another just down the road at Dufferin and Queen. This man threatens younger smaller women and that's NOT RIGHT! Still shaken and upset. If you read this and decide to go in then please, at the very least say, "I hope the older man who abuses young women is NO LONGER working here." Sad. Tears today. Totally unnecessary.

This store owner or whoever was working on February 11th at 3:00am scammed me. I bought 3 candy packages, 2 chocolate bars 1 small bag of chips. He said straight 30 no charge for using credit card. I thought it was suspicious there was no receipt & when he scanned the items nothing shown on the screen so i couldn't see prices. I was naïve & intoxicated at the time, so i said whatever and paid it because i just wanted to be home. I checked my bank today and the guy charged me 40$.. First, he overcharged me for the prices of the items originally, worse then lied to my face and scammed me on the actual agreement on the cost of the items. Its a shame but it is what it is. Now i know & can let other people know to be careful. I can see from other reviews this isn't the first time someone has been scammed either.

I’m not sure why there are so many bad reviews but maybe it’s because I don’t go late at night and come across the infamous night manager... However the day/evening staff are quite nice. It‘a usually the young Asian man, and sometimes I see the young Asian women. I come here almost every other day to grab some drinks, Ben and Jerry’s or fruit popsicles. They have a pretty good selection of instant ramen for a convenience store. Also they started selling Korean meals at the refrigerator by the entrance. I’ve had the bulgogi beef + rice and it was so good... for $8.99 I’d say it’s worth it. My partner had their Korean fried chicken + rice and he said it was really good too. Probably my go-to convenience store

The night manager of this store is an absolute joke. This guy went NUTS at my girlfriend and I when we literally did nothing wrong and showed no disrespect at all. He even went as far as called her a c*nt under his breath. I cannot understand how anyone let alone a business “owner” can conduct themselves the way that he does. I thought this was an isolated incident and the guy just had a bad day or something but after reading the other reviews it confirms he simply has a problem. I know it’s a convenience store at the end of the day, but do yourself a favour and try to give your business to someone else who understands the simple concept of respecting others. Thanks!

The night manager is rude and conpletely out of his mind. The parking there is 24 hr enforced pay parking. I paid for my parking and parked there to wait for a friend who was nearby. The guy kept coming to us and harassing us, kept telling us to leave. When I told him I paid for parking he yelled that he doesn't care and told me "you go park across the street, get outta here, your time us up!" The way he was coming towards my car made me feel like he was gonna do something to my car and since there was a spot available across the street I decided to go there. I even went into the convenience store to buy some food and drinks added to that I paid for parking.

I live smack-dab between the 7-Eleven and the Ready-Go. Some items are a little more expensive at Ready-Go, true. But the selection there is awesome! Unlike 7-Eleven's endless wall of "On Sale Powerade or Gatorade ONLY... maybe a row of waterbottles" Ready-Go carries a constantly changing variety of all sorts of drinks that you normally don't even find in convenient stores so obviously those items will cost a little more. PS. Keith is awesome possum, and so are all of the other staff. They look a bit stiff when you walk in there the first time, true - but once they get to know your face they really open up and are really cool people :)

Two words: highway robbery. People are getting actively scammed by made up prices every time they come here. They will literally put any price in and assume people won’t check or confirm, likely trying to take advantage of late night partiers. Happened to my friends and I and we were treated rudely when we pointed out that the price ($40 for 3 items - kinder eggs and chips) seemed a bit high. The person who was in front of us previously said “yeah I got ripped off too” and a couple outside said they experienced the same thing. Not sure how they’re still in business and how no one has reported them yet.

Night manager is out of his mind, he was snapping at his subordinates and told his cashier not to help weirdos like me for asking about his tobacco selection. Then ran away swearing under his breath after checking me out at cash himself. Seems like a a man who has seen many hardships, from working night shifts at a convenience store myself, I know this ultimately breaks a human. Wicked selection though, loads of drinks and rolling papers. Nice

This is the first review I have left and in defence of Keith !!!! I dunno what situations you guys had but I lived next to this store for two years and everytime I went in keith was so kind and helpful and would offer me any Jamaican patties leftover from the night.... I went back two years after I moved and he remembered me and gave me a hug and a deal.. he let me do an IOU one night when I had my wallet stolen... Keith is a good dude

I’ve never wrote a review about a convenience store before but here it goes.... I work nearby and do nights so I often go to this store and grab snacks but yo don’t ever even smile in the direction of the night cashier on Friday’s because he will bite your head off. If Satan came to earth the Friday night cashier would probably be his best friend. Lol I came to leave a review and found so many others just like this.

  • Zoe Medicoff

The guy who works nights (Keith) has terrible anger management issues. This pernicious-for-no-reason person projects horrible, scathing, scolding and painful words at customers--all while snagging your hard-earned money for overpriced items. Not LGBT friendly. It's too bad because theres no variety open 24/7 in a 2 km radius from Queen/Dovercourt. TERRIBLE!

The other reviewes say it loud and clear. The older asian man is so rude and disrespectful it made me promise my self im going to leave a bad review. After purchasing a few items i asked about some chinese herbal drinks he had at the front (wasn't busy) this guy grabs the box and puts it behind the counter and mubles something looool .... okay my bad bro

  • Earl Miller

Lot of negative reviews of the night manager, whom I like and chat to on a regular basis. He allows my dog in and gives her sausages free of charge. I have never seen him yell at anyone. However, there are numerous drunks from nearby bars who come in and give him attitude.

  • Barely Trine

The owner here steals a little on each purchase, look at your receipt because he's counting on you not checking to see if you got the right change. I caught him doing this and he literally got aggressive with me and chased me out of the store calling me "Stupid idiot"!.

  • Vaishnav Thorat

Night time customer representative is so rude. I just asked him about any other chocolates you have? He said this is not enough for you what more you want. This is how you get answers for general questions here. Never going back!!

  • Andrew Eaton

...heard some bad reviews about the spot. Arguably incorrect (in my opinion). Not sure how many late night convenience stores everyones visited...but this one is up their w Mr.Kim at queen/bath Super Bee r.i.p Mr Kim.

Girl cashier with cap is super rude few times when something doesnt go right. She has A LOT of attitude and is so rude. Throws money back at people, gives them glaring looks. Girl its a convenient store. Chill!!!

  • Shawn Marche

This store is amazing, has all you need in one place!! Even super great when there is a holiday and this is the only store open!! Personally, I love that they carry a wide selection of "Crush" soda.

  • M B

Awful service. So rude! I have gone multiple times and have gotten nothing but attitude. Won't be going back. You get yelled at for trying to use a credit card because their machines are broken.

  • KINGOFFICIAL “KINGOFFICIAL”

Night manager Keith has the worst customer service skills I have ever witnessed in my life. I’d rather die of dehydration then give him money again. IF YOU ARE READING THIS DO NOT GO THERE

  • pj stephen

The owner has a fatherly disposition, which some may find off-putting. But this place is great! Fantastic selection for a 24 hr convenience store. They have almond milk !

  • say so

In one sentence: The owner (lady) steals from me! Went to this store to buy some stuff and pays $40 instead of less than $10! Avoid this store. No respect for thieves.

  • Francis Serinet

This is a convenience store that has practically anything you need. Big bonus for me is the fact that it's near by and practical for your late night fixings.

  • Brandon Prince

I've been going here for quite sometime and I can't understand all the bad reviews? This place is kept stocked and clean, the staff are all super friendly.

  • Justin asrfsdfsd

  • stella lee

  • Francesca Finch

The guy working here in the morning has issues. He yelled at me for no reason. Very aggressive and angry. I would give zero stars

  • Melissa S

The guy lost it on me and started taking pictures of us and told us to leave. Just wanted to buy a bag of chips

  • Lou

The cashers/owners are always rude. But I still come in sometimes because it’s only 24hr store in neighborhood.

  • Stacey Inouye

The night manager Keith called me a c*nt for asking a question about the Jamaican patties the other night lol

  • Suzanne Labonte
