I've never written a review in my life, but my experience with this agency was so frustrating- Put a deposit down on a place, had an admittedly drawn-out application process on our end... had a hard time gathering documents from our guarantors, but communicated with our agent about it throughout and submitted without any sign of an issue from him! After submitting, was ignored when following up about a decision, which took 3 days from submission, until we were finally notified a total 9 days after putting the deposit down that the apartment was promised to another group by the landlord and that "nothing can be done" and they had been "arguing about it all week" - You mean all week while we were prompted to submit our application and add more and more guarantors to it, for an apartment that you apparently knew was unavailable to begin with? Chose to handle the news with grace and calmly asked for them to send over similar listings for us to consider, which they didn't. So I asked for my deposit back, which I had signed an agreement saying would take a max of 3 business days... Well, it took 5 full business days AND following up with them about it every single day for them to FINALLY take the 1 minute to press "accept" on my Zelle request. So, long story short, we got screwed out of an apartment, lost over a week of apartment hunting time while lead to believe we were getting approved on this one, lost a non-refundable $175 submitting applications for an apartment that the agent knew was not available during the process, and then STILL was offered no attempt to remedy the situation and could not even have my deposit return prioritized... absolutely the most unprofessional experience imaginable, look out. I would really like our null application money back. I asked for it given the circumstances and was told no. You're the ones who violated the deposit agreement! Seems like the least you can do.

Do not give these people any money. Sully allowed me to pay an application fee and submit documents for a property that was not available for lease. I should’ve known not to pay him any money when a friend of mine inquired about the same property and never received a response. Sully said the fee was for a credit check/background check but the date on the document reflects that he did not check my credit profile until the day I insisted on a copy of it. This business is fraudulently collecting application fees for properties that are not available. RESPONSE TO REPLY: I was applying for a commercial unit which is why the offer was lower than the asking rent. The landlord typically makes a counteroffer. Also, the date on the report is the date that it was pulled not the date that it was printed. My family uses the same company to pull credit reports. Sully’s email stated that the owners are pursuing another tenant, nothing regarding the offer being too low or even a counteroffer. Anyway, do not trust these people.

Update 9/8 Please refer back to our email correspondence where I immediately inquired about the difference in rent price compared to the listing after receiving the application. I later asked my roommate to confirm she heard and saw the same pricing as I did which she confirmed. You also blamed the landlord for the "incorrect" listing but still refused to refund us our deposit after I told you I was uncomfortable signing the lease. *** December 2020: Misleading photos and pricing on listing. After confronting our realtor, Ben, that the pricing on our lease was +$350/month and 6 months longer than discussed, we were told we would loose our deposit if we walked away. Would avoid working with again at all costs.

Benjamin showed us an apartment that had no electricity in the kitchen and no gas service. Unfortunately we did not catch that certain appliances were unplugged in the initial tour. The landlord turned out to be a slum lord. Either the realtor didn’t screen the apartment or they didn’t care. I think it was probably the latter. Whatever the case, the facade of StreetEasy and a valid real estate license do NOT mean that a person or listing should be trusted. Our building also had bedbugs. We had to move again and it was super expensive. We regret trusting Real Street. Be cautious!

First and foremost Real Street Inc. did an adequate job of turning over the apartment in a little under two weeks time. Kudos to them! From the beginning of our journey we were elated with the level of service we received. Throughout the entire process the team was extremely professional. We did, however, run into a communication issue with our broker but, the team at Real Street worked effortlessly to resolve our issue. All-in-all, Sully and his team value their clients. The team listens to your needs and work towards a win-win scenario.

I found Richard, Shlomo and Eli to be incredibly professional, knowledgeable and responsive to my needs and questions/concerns. This was the experience I wish I had at the beginning of this process. I worked with Realstreet’s Benjamin Yomtobian and could not have been happier. He was attentive, consistently responsive and even offered to take videos of various listings for me when new units came up. He made sure I was first in line to view and deposit on the apartment of my dreams and we got approved the same day! It’s nice to know there’s an agent out there who actually cares about the customer!

DO NOT USE THEIR SERVIC! They gave me a lease for an apartment that with the date wrong by a month and I was left without a place to go 3 days before my move in day. They provided no help and I had to stay in an Airbnb. Despite saying initally they would help me pay for it, they later said they would only help me if I signed a new lease with them, even though they messed up my first one.

Just rented an apartment through Real Street and it was an amazing experience. Sully provided us tremendous service while showing us numerous apartments around brooklyn and helping us sign documents. He helped us find an amazing apartment at an amazing price. We I’ll definitely be using his services in the future and recommend him to anyone looking in BK.

No one answers the phone nor calls back after several attemptsof reaching out. The one call back it did get, the representative did not even connect me with correct area of the company. Not sure how business is maintained if a new client cannot even get decent communication.

Crook agents and advertisements online be aware. Bait and switch. They lie about the super low ceiling height 5’5” and super tiny size rooms. 2 beds is listed as 3 beds just to get appointments and waste people’s time 2 hours on the train heartlessly.
