If possible I would give this place 0 stars. The customer service is disgraceful. I ordered a curry at 22.46 and it had not arrived by 23.36, so we called the restaurant . The person who answered the phone merely answered “on the way” when we asked where our curry was 1 hour later after we ordered it, and then hung up on me. I called back and asked why she hung up on me, she just said she didn’t. I continued to ask where my food was and all she answered was “On the way”. I told her it was unacceptable to not tell your customers there’s over an hour wait for food, and i asked where my food was for a third time. She still only said that it was on the way and i told her it was unacceptable and asked to speak to the manager. She told me she had asked “him” and he said to take off the delivery fee. Later on in the phone conversation after asking to speak to the manager directly, she admitted that she was the manager and had lied. This was only after an argument where she said she would not tell me her name or her managers name and she only did because I mentioned consumer rights. Overall I had a horrible experience with this restaurant and their customer service is the worst i’ve seen. Would not recommend.

Ordered from here a good few times, never had a problem and loved their food. However someone was banging my door down at 10.30pm tonight, woke me up. The delivery driver from red rice. Once I explained it wasn't me that ordered and must be a mistake as he had just woke me and my younger sister up and we're the only ones in the house he became really irrate that I "left him knocking for a half an hour" and "it couldn't be a mistake because this is the address he was given". I'm sorry but there's not many young women who would answer the door to somebody at 10.30 at night who was so persistent when they weren't expecting anyone. It was as if he expected me to apologise and was shouting at me when it was clearly an error on the takeaways part. I understand that prank calls have probably been made in the past but there was no need for him to be so annoyed and speak to me the way that he did after I explained it was not ordered from here. The only reason I'm even giving a star at all is because the manager was very nice on the phone in dealing with my complaint when I called. But the delivery driver's behaviour has definitely put me off ever ordering here again!

I’m writing this review after multiple trips to this Chinese takeaway. Have never disappointed us. The food is ALWAYS full of flavour and you can tell it’s freshly cooked. First Chinese takeaway I’ve had in a while that doesn’t remind me of frozen food heated up.

Always get for collection or delivery as it need to be a quick in and out job as the parking can be somewhat difficult to find at times unless you want to walk two mins.

Ordered the satay beef with rice and chicken balls & spring roll and bbq spare ribs with rice (delivery). It was delivered within 15 mins as we live close by. The satay beef was served in a curry-like sauce and there were bits of pineapple in it, which added some sweetness - I found this to be strange. The chicken balls were fantastic, full of chicken and not just a blob of fried batter. The springroll was massive and tasted ok. The BBQ spare ribs were fall off the bone and flavourful. Sadly, the rice was dry for both dishes - as rice is the foundation, this wrecked the meal overall. One last point: this is the first time I've ordered Chinese takeout and didn't get any fortune cookies. It didn't feel right.

Red rice more like not nice. I’m allegric to an ingredient they put in my dish after me explicitly telling them to not put it in. So I rang and the woman who answers the phones she’d wanna take a fetac course in customer service she’s a rude as rude as a politician in a brothel. I’d rather eat bat from a Chinese food market in wuhang than buy a can of coke of yas. Riddled. If the rodents in the kip had fitbits they’d be running marathons every hour ram your rice up your hole

This place only offers cash payments. WHY? isn't it Covid times and we are adviced to pay by card?! Walked very far for an ATM machine after 12 hrs shift UNACCEPTABLE!!!!!!! Staff even angry when we gave out and said they are already 15 years cash payments only!! Never ordering from them again!!! Their staff needs to undergo customer service training because they are VERY RUDE!

My daughter Jodie just went to collect her food and got back home and she was missing half her order girl behind counter didn't seem bothered to sort out the issue so she's not happy to say the least considering this place is the most expensive Chinese in the dublin12 catchment area she will be not ordering again food is poxy anyway leaves my wife with the runs

Wow.. this take out is amazing. We didn't order much food but what we tried was so good. I got there chilly chips and honestly they are the best I have ever had. With such a simple dish the flavours were beautiful. I am now addicted to them. If your looking for Chinese food this is the place to go. Only negative is they don't take card payments.

I had been very disappointed with two local takeaways, I decided to try Red Rice as a friend told me, it's excellent. It is excellent and the quality of every dish is excellent, I will never go anywhere else. You must try it, if you haven't been there yet, you've got to try it.

Very Rude and unprofessional behaviour tonight when i was ordering a Curry from Red Rice Kimmage the Girl was saying goodbye until I told her i wasn't finished ordering and i got attitude, cancelled order told her to forget about it, not a way to run a business very poor on your attitude Red Rice won't be ordering with you again

Cash only accepted here. Really did not like the spice tray from here, so small for the price and overpowered with garlic made it taste bitter. Lacked flavour and spice. To be fair the chicken and chips were cooked well. Curry sauce also a bit bland. Wouldn't try anything else to be honest based on that experience.

In 2022 a service that does not accept card payments is simply unacceptable. Like many others in this post pandemic world I no longer carry cash. I don't even carry my ATM card with tap payments using smartphones being so ubiquitous. How a business operating like this can continue to survive is a mystery to me.

Good Chinese takeaway on Kimmage Road Lower. Great food. But this place has got more expensive with two price increases in the last six months. Then again prices are going through the roof almost everywhere in Ireland. But il not be coming back again if they increase their prices again this year.

I ordered shredded chili chicken but instead, they gave me chili chips with a bit of chicken. I’m not even exaggerating. I ordered it several times before and it wasn’t like that. There wasn’t even a single piece of chip on my previous purchases. Not worth the amount I paid for.

Nothing wrong with food, shame they felt the need to increase there prices across 90% of there dishes by about €1.10 per dish and delivery charge too. Quality still the same and quantity. Not worth it for price. Would get restaurant delivery for comparable price.

Got a take-away from here in Jan. The staff weren't overly nice, but that wasn't an issue. The Special Menu is great value and the food was tasty. Rice was a little bit stuck together. Will be back.
