I bought my car, a pre-owned Volkswagen Golf, here in September 2017. It's the best vehicle I've ever owned; not a single problem of any significance with the car in the last year and 4 months. There was a 3 month warranty, and this covered fixing one small issue that developed with the central locking. Other than the car was perfect, and still is. It's running really well for a 2004 car - so smooth and the engine is so quiet. The NCT was due when I bought it and it passed without any issues. And even for the 2018 NCT there was only a few parts to replace due to normal wear and tear. Naturally, buying from a dealer, I paid a good bit more for the car than I would if I had bought a 2004 Golf privately, but I really feel that it was a good decision. The money I've saved by having had no mechanical issues requiring repairs has already been great, and if the car continues to be as reliable as it's been so far, it will definitely save me money in the long run. I highly recommend Redcastle Motors and would buy my next car there... whenever I eventually need to. UPDATE: I recently bought a 2nd car from Redcastle Motors and once again, I am delighted with my purchase. This time it's a Ford Fusion, and it's a great car and it was a great price. I discovered one minor issue with the car - the wheel alignment was slightly off and again, Brian had no issue in resolving this and the car is otherwise perfect. We still have the Volkswagen Golf too and it is STILL going strong after 2 years - not a single major issue; it's has never broken down or had any mechanical issue that caused me not to be able to drive it. No issues with the engine, clutch, handbrake or gears and only minor electrical issues, like a bulb or fuse needing to be repaced from time to time. And only standard wear and tear to parts has occurred during the time we have been driving it and these were picked up at the NCT, but that is, of course, to be expected. It's an amazingly reliable car. This is car ownership as it should be.

Very friendly customer service from Kieran and Brian. As a Learner driver I really appreciated Kieran who took the time to explain all the features of the cars to me and compared them to each other. I visited them three times before buying my car a (2018 Hyundai I10) and they were always very welcoming. The car itself was in excellent condition inside and out with extremely low milage and still under warranty. It had the lowest milage of any second hand car I had viewed in Dublin garages and was somehow still the most affordable in price. Delighted that I could purchase a fantastic car for so cheap, and from a really lovely local team in Redcastle Motors. They had my car fully valeted and cleaned for me on my pick up day. Even though Kieran had originally gone through all the features of the car, Brian, on collection day (through social distancing measures) showed me all the features of the car again, the dash buttons, the integrated steering wheel, and he also kindly synced my phone with the bluetooth for me. Update: 18-Jan 2022. When I bought the car, I was informed that a new set of front tyres was ready for me at the nearby mechanic garage as those installed were a bit worn. I completely forgot and after 4 months the computer alerted me. It took me one more month to go ask for the tyres and the tyre shop couldn't help. I spoke to Brian (Redcastle) who arranged the tyre change on the same day for free. It took only a couple of hours. Thanks a lot, this is really great service! Fernando Original Review. I bought a beautiful car off red castle motors for the first time yesterday as I heard great reviews about them. I had a great experience with salesman Gerry he was very helpful and chatty. When it came to payment I payed more than half for the car and was due to pay remanding money in the morning. When it came to the next day payment declined cause it wasn’t more than 24 hours since I done a huge transaction so I had to wait 24 hours untill I could make another transaction which I didn’t know about the wait time with the bank, but Brian rings me very rudely and abrupt saying transaction declined which I sorted out asap. There was no need for him to be very rude and abrupt to me which I taught he would understand. When I spoke with Brian shortly after he wasn’t sorry for the way he spoke to me so I wouldn’t get another car after the poor customer service experience.

Applied for finance on a Vauxhall insignia on a friday eve (about 5pm).....Drove out of the forecourt Saturday morning (11am) with a smile on me face. Car came spotless inside/ polished outside and freshly serviced. Great spec and low milage. Had a 3rd party mechanic look at the vehicle and he was happy too. Minor problem 2 days later with front tyres... Kind staff in Redcastle had them replaced immediately with no fuss or extra cost. Good after sales service. Will happily return in the future.
