I had a terrible experience renting a car with redspot at the little collins branch (booked via vroom3). Returned the car in good condition and called the next day to enquire about e-tag charges just to find out that there were 'damages' on the car, of which I had to pay $5,500. This was not acceptable because: 1. I was not informed immediately, I found out because I called first to find out about e-tag charges. 2. The carpark was unattended when I dropped it off, no cameras or any form of security to protect the car. The so-called 'damage' could've happened when it was left overnight. I still believe it was not caused by us as we left it in good condition. 3. The 'damage' was very minor and peculiar, it was scratches on the paint but not a continuous line, as if someone scratched it. It would not cost $5,500 to fix. Yes I understand the amount leftover would be refunded but to be hit with $5,500 all at once affects people's cashflow not to mention the credit card interest. It was as if it was my fault for signing the contract in the first place. I spoke to area manager and asked for a lesser amount to be taken considering small damage and that it was not caused by us. But area manager and everyone at redspot refused, which I think is very rigid and very frustrating customer experience. 4. When I rented the car there was already marked damages on the car which means the car is not fixed straight away when there are damages. This means causing delays to people like me who are waiting for their claims to be processed. Does this mean I would have to wait for a long time since you don't take it to the mechanic straight away? Overall a very frustrating customer experience, would now have to wait several weeks to find out what the actual damage is. After that I would still have to go through the process of claiming the repair amount to the insurance company. Definitely will not recommend or use redspot in the future. Hope this is taken seriously

Watch out for the con at the sales desk - I have been a regular Redspot user for some time now, largely for their "No Surprises" full comprehensive pricing policy. I returned to Sydney Airport Terminal desk for a second time after spending three days travelling in Sydney the week before - I was asked if I would like a Premium Upgrade (I thought in recognition of my previous business) only later did I find out that it was a premium up sell - where another $20 was added to my bill with no advice what so ever. When I realised I was being charged they offered to reduce it to $10 upgrade - I was late after the plane was delayed and there were 4 people waiting behind me. So I accepted the UPGRADE as the paper work had already been done - The upgrade was a HOLDEN SV6 from the SUV I had ordered ! WOW - not that exciting. An offered Premium Update is FREE! anything else needs to clearly stated Guess What REDSPOT - I was very SURPRISED and also quite DISAPPOINTED - because no one enjoys being conned.

Excellent service! I was an international driver with a driver's license less than 12 months of driving experience. While other companies were hesitant to rent their cars to us (because they had to comply to their companies' rules and regulations and only rent cars to drivers who have minimum 12 months of driving experience), Redspot trusted us and rented the car to us. In spite of rejections from other car rental companies, we were thankful Redspot had a car available immediately for our usuage (at 8.30am)! Very thankful that they too waived off P-plate insurance for international drivers (less than 12 months of driving experience), that makes the cost $100 cheaper for our 4 days rental! The transaction was very smooth and pleasant. Service was impeccable. In additonal, we were told we could return the car as late as 10pm, just by dropping off the key into the return box. Great! Thank you Redspot for making this roadtrip possible for us!

AVOID AT ALL COSTS - I should have known this place would be no good from the moment I walked in to the tiny, uncomfortable waiting room where the completely uninterested woman behind the counter proceeded to take nearly 50 minutes to serve the three people ahead of me, while the queue continued to grow literally out the door. When I returned the car, I was told that I had scratched another vehicle on the way out. No evidence of any damage was provided (let alone evidence that I had been the one to cause it) despite a number of requests. They then proceeded to charge over $2000.00 to my credit card. I am currently disputing the charges through my financial institution. Save yourself the hassle - rent your car from elsewhere.

Slow slow slow, 1/2 hr to pick up the car. Staff are nice enough but there was no prepreparation for our confirmed booking even though we had a business account. Drop off at melbourne airport depot was a ridicuolous muck around, no drop box, instead sign saying go to T3 desk, T3 desk then unattended, with a sign saying go to T1. Trekked with luggage all the way back and forth between T1 and T4 nearly missed the plane. Will never hire with them again. Get your procedures in order Red Spot, like a simple thing 'a drop box, espegcially if your desks are unattended!' At each touch point with the customer they failed, from booking to pick up to drop off. Just one mistake is just a bad day, but it was everything.

If i could give zero star's i would. Yesterday my friend and i arrived at this shop and were meet with the most rudest guy. He was cleaning a car so we didn't know he was im charge so i asked who to talk to about renting a car and he replied with "well your talking to me ain't you" taken back i asked a few more question's until he cut me off and told me to hurry up and talk because he had a car to clean. We walked inside to wait and another customer inside expressed how disappointed she was with how she was treated as well. We ended up leaving and rented with another company. You lost 3 willing to pay customers and won't be recommending this place to anyone. Appalling customer service.

Stolen Tom Ford glasses at Sydney airport by your staff. Called within 2 hours with an exact description of where they were. No call back. Continued calling and finally got someone who said there were no glasses found. Suggested this was highly irregular and wanted to speak to a manager. The staff member suggested he could check something else and not to call the manager in. Still no call back. On the final call to the office, they said a manager would call on Monday (4th April). No call. Made 10 calls at least to this office with no follow up. Will never use the service again. We have/had a national business account with you.

Literally the worlds worst car rental business (unless it has changed hands in the last few years). My son and I waited hours for a car we’d booked weeks earlier. Firstly, they left us waiting forever at the airport; then when someone picked us up they took us back to their depot where we were, again, left waiting for hours with no explanation. Eventually we gave up and caught a taxi to Frankston and then booked a car from a local business there. If this business has changed hands then I apologise. In fact, I can only assume it must have, because under its management a few years ago it couldn’t possibly have survived.

My wife and I rented a car for the weekend from Redspot in Melbourne. We were very pleased with the car, the price, and the reservation experience. The picking up of the car was a little challenging because of the unclear explanation of the reservation, return, insurance, and pricing circumstances. The most interesting thing is most of the information simply confused us because the costs turned out to match exactly with the website information. Overall we were pleased and would use Redspot again. I would simply recommend a handout that explained what the agent was attempting to describe.

Good customer service!! The staffs are very friendly. One of the man who serviced us tried to speak mandarin to us even he just knew some words. Also one of the woman who could speak mandarin that wait for us to return the car even the office is already closed. The car is also perfect! Price is cheaper then the others! Highly recommend and wish them could have more good customers☺️ p.s. 1.Sorry that I forgot the staff’s name. 2.If you are foreigner and wanna use the International Driving Permit please make sure that you bring your LICENSE CARD.

I showed up at the Redspot office to pick up my car only to find that I was late for exactly one day..... the staff have been trying to contact me 24 hours earlier to set this right but my phone didn't work..... well, there was no car left for me, naturally.... but the lady there was very helpful and immediately arranged 2 choices for me to get a vehicle. So, my mistake was not only forgiven, but an extra-mile was walked for me to make sure that I could continue my journey as planned.

I will never us redspot again. This morning at Melbourne airport, when I approached the counter the person behind the counter which was the manager. I asked about my reservation and I get YES MATE from this person. Not morning Sir but Yes Mate. I am not your mate pal, buddy. When a customer comes in its yes Sir, yes Mam You people really need to teach your staff manners. I also took my business to Avis. They know how to treat a customer.

Holiday plan ruined. Attracted by cheap price. However no available car on the booked pick up day. Replied no booking showed on system despite showing the booking confirmation. Staff could not do anything, staff notified manager for further action. Manager arrived later but did not initiate and provide any assistance to this situation at all. Strongly suggest not to consider this rental service or to triple confirm after the booking.

"Sorry we have no cars and there is nothing we can do" This is all I got after I showed up to the office to pick up my car which I had booked the day before. They didn't even bother calling me to notify the apparent "booking system issue" or at least try to be nice about it. Instead the ladies in the counter decided it was best to be rude and leave me with a ruined weekend. Thanks Redspot, I will never again use your service.

My husband has left his sunglass in car after he dropped it off, called someone there and told him he forgot it, he said will look to see if find it and call back, but no one call back. In the other day, he called them again and explained the problem ones more. one lady replied and said nothing founded in the car. almost, in sense of my sunglass was stolen by their office staff !

Checked the day before rental when I arrived in Melbourne. Courteous and efficient staff (young man with great eyelashes... ) completed some preliminary paperwork to expedite early pick-up the following day. The vehicle was excellent; clean and modern. Staff member Kirsten was friendly, efficient and a pleasure to deal with. Five stars for Redspot in Little Collins.

Rented 2 cars from Redspot for a day trip to Phillip Island. Prices were quite reasonable. The woman I dealt with was very friendly (the man next to her seemed less so). We had to wait 5min for the car to finish being washed, but picked it up right next to the office. Easy after-hours dropoff. Location is close to the highways. I'd rent through them again.

Car was filthy inside. Car stank of smoke and spew Old car. 30 mins wait to pick up only one person working at counter. Redspot upsale includes petrol and now a new $4 a day for some kind of roadside support. What a joke that is not included. Never again. I bet they take a month to return my bond.

Had a really bad experience with this car rental company. Basically they just try to rip you off by charging too much for the fuel, even if you had prepaid fuel at a predetermined price. Also, they don't accept international licences for no good reason.

Excellent service for our 15 day rental, extended to 18 days with no fuss and all at a very reasonable rental price Pick up and drop off in central Melbourne was efficient and friendly. No hesitation to use Redspot Sixt rental from this location again.
