Excellent, small(ish) museum. Amazing contemporary art on display in September of 2023. Small but adequate museum shop. If you are looking for an intimate museum stop near the White House for an hour's visit, this is the place. There is a Pete's coffee shop across the street if you need a pick-me‐up. More
The gallery was organized in a form that made sense. The art on the first floor had a meaningful and powerful message behind each piece. The history of each artist was breathtaking! The second floor had a more modern artsy vibe. Starting with the light piece on the ceiling coming up the stairs. More
This is one of my favorite galleries in DC. It is free. So the lines can be long on the weekends. I suggest going earlier in the morning if you can. The exhibits are very educational and emotion provoking. It's a great place to relax and engage in conversation about the exhibits.
An incredibly well curated museum with rotating exhibits. Security will THOROUGHLY check your bag so try to have all the pockets/bags ready to present. The exhibit right now focuses on indigenous people and is well worth a visit. Also they have one of the best gift shops! More
The 2 floors of this Smithsonian Museum feature contemporary crafts and visually stunning installations. It’s small enough to allow the visitor to see everything without being over saturated. The museum notes explaining the art pieces are concise and well written.
The Renwick Gallery is amazing! The art work, sculptures, and exhibits are extremely stunning! I came across this Smithsonian museum by chance and so grateful that I did. I highly recommend visiting the gallery if you’re in the area. Enjoy! More
The contemporary art museum captivated with its innovative blend of traditional and digital art. From thought-provoking installations to a rich representation of artists, the museum offered an immersive experience, making it a dynamic hub
Complete and wonderful surprise! Located right at 1600 Pennsylvania Ave, we had no idea it was next doir to the Whitehouse and had no time in our achedule to take afvantage of that, so make sure you do. This musrum was just the right size
The collections are absolutely stunning and there are tons of times during the day when the museum is fairly empty and allows for total immersion in the exhibits. Between the set up and the rotating collections of works displayed this has
We love this cozy little gallery! Seems like the second floor exhibits are permanent installations while those on the first floor change periodically. There's always something amazing and thought provoking to see. Highly recommended. More
I’ve been here twice. The first time we got in kinda late but they were still very gracious with us. It was more of a photo op. But the second time I went alone and actually read through everything and connected with certain pieces. It’s
It's a small, free gallery, with interesting exhibits. The building is beautiful and there's lots of excellent interpretations. However, it's not immensely compelling, unless you're REALLY into art. Mixed media pieces, quilts, small
A surprisingly well-curated museum that has rotating exhibits that are so interesting and interactive, especially the section documenting indigenous artists. All the art pieces are well-explained and well-documented. Since it is a
Neat, historic museum, but very small. There were some really cool pieces here, but I was able to see the whole thing (and the second floor twice) in under thirty minutes.
The is a small gallery really close to the White House. It like a block away and a supper easy walk. It’s also a good place to use a restroom after a White House visit.
This is a small gallery, but they use the space well. When last week it was the exhibition of Sharing Honors and Burdens. That is something so special to see.
Very cool gallery! The temporary exhibition is now dedicated to Native American artists and it’s really cool, the free admission is also a good plus! More
Such a beautiful museum! It’s small, but packed full of lots We loved all the exhibits focused on mental health and from female artists. More
It’s a small gallery near the White House. Parking is challenging as usual in big cities. Unique sky and earth display on second floor. More
