The gallery was organized in a form that made sense. The art on the first floor had a meaningful and powerful message behind each piece. The history of each artist was breathtaking! This is one of my favorite galleries in DC. It is free. So the lines can be long on the weekends. I suggest going earlier in the morning if you can. The exhibits are very educational and emotion provoking. It's a great place to relax and engage in conversation about the exhibits.

The 2 floors of this Smithsonian Museum feature contemporary crafts and visually stunning installations. It’s small enough to allow the visitor to see everything without being over saturated. The museum notes explaining the art pieces are concise and well written.
