I spent two months in this Residence Inn while water damage was repaired at my home. Recently widowed, the move was emotionally difficult as well as physically. The cats and I were put into this Residence Inn by my insurance company, and they could not have made a better choice. The staff makes this hotel. Blessed Jefferson and her front desk staff - Laretha, Laneysa, and Maddison, are everything. From the moment I walked in, I was surrounded by a warmth that made me feel right at home. Any request I made during my time here was met promptly. The engineering staff responded quickly and politely when my kitten got stuck behind a drawer (!!). Although I did most of my own cleaning because I didn't want the cats escaping, the housekeeping staff was unfailingly polite and supplied any needs immediately. My room was attractive, large, and with a full kitchen. Beware the kitchen. You cannot really cook in it because the fire alarms are sensitive, but it is more than adequate for microwaved meals, eggs, etc. There is plenty of storage space if the stay is a long one. I had a view of a green hill that was covered by bull thistles, hemlock, and vitex trees. It was lovely. As I sat and worked at the desk, I could watch the rabbit family raise their babies, watch the buzzards in their lazy flight riding the thermals, and listen to the mockingbirds. The pool is pretty and inviting. The fitness room isn't easy to find, but it's clean and quiet. Breakfast is provided. There was a good variety of food, that changed daily, and the breakfast staff was friendly and responsive. I appreciated the company at breakfast, too, and the view of the pool from the breakfast room. I have small complaints. There is a paucity of hot water. Much water is wasted waiting for the shower to heat up, and I rarely had enough for a hot shower. Several times there was no hot water at all! The bathroom faucet runs cold and has a weak stream, about the size of a pencil at full pressure. But during my stay, I often found myself thinking that I could live there. I am grateful to the staff for their kindness, and for the way they went "above and beyond" so many times taking care of me. Thank you Blessed, Maddie, Laneysa, and Laretha. You are all wonderful.

The rooms are large and bright. Ask for a room on the south or west side, away from the highway noise, although when my windows were closed, noise was not an issue.
Nearby activities
Downtown Dallas is a short drive, as is the Bishop Arts District with its dozens of shops and restaurants. The Kessler Theater, a live music venue, is also less than 10 minutes away by car.

My boyfriend and I are very Marriott loyal! I used his Bonvoy number to book a hotel here as I was traveling for work— and he called Bonvoy to transfer my name onto the reservation as well (this is usually not an issue anyway). The woman at the front desk refused to give me my reserved room, with my reserved confirmation number. My name was on the reservation via my phone but she kept saying it was just his name. My boyfriend then got on the phone and pleaded with her as I was alone and it was 10 pm and I had nowhere to go, but she kept rudely shaking her head and proudly affirming she would NOT give me a room. I think her name was Lutansya or something of that nature. A positive and helpful attitude goes such a long way in life and in customer service. It’s so disappointing I had to eat the cost of this hotel room and then book a comfort inn suites close by. There were absolutely no solutions offered, no apology, no patience, NOTHING remotely helpful. This is the worst customer service interaction I’ve ever had in my life

Great newer hotel in a convenient location without the traffic or hustle and bustle. Easy to Uber in and out. Hotel is very clean and safe with no random people hanging around. Rooms are very large, comfortable, dark and quiet for sleeping. All the staff that I had interactions with were very very friendly. Beautiful pool and patio area. Half a basketball court that’s fenced in and well maintained. The free breakfast is normal and nothing exciting for a hotel. Highly recommend this hotel.

Rooms were very large, clean, and most importantly quiet. A\C worked wonderfully and kept the room cool even when it was over 100 degrees outside.
Safety
The hotel is kind of away from the immediate hustle and bustle. It’s in a new area and the hotel and public areas are well lit. Staff is very attentive.

I was surprised at the level of effort given for a 3-star hotel. The lobby was welcoming and the staff were attentive. The review complaining about parking was not necessary. It’s $5 and that probably pays for the Dallas PD officer that was onsite. Based on reviews about car break-ins, they’ve definitely responded, so if paying $5 is needed to ensure the parking lot is safe, I don’t see what the complaint was for. There were a few things of concern like no mattress cover and having to clean the dishes, but nothing that would keep me from staying here again. I’m a stickler for presentable and clean bathrooms. This was definitely a few steps above a normal 3-star. There was a clean shower curtain (surprised me) and the aesthetic was definitely better than most. They need to unclog the drain a bit, but I just stood towards the back of the tub. Overall the place is on my list for budget friendly, yet quality hotels.

My husband stayed here for work for over 2 months. I had to extend him several times. I called up and they were always happy to help! The rooms are large. The breakfasts and the staff who work there are amazing! They would see him waiting for breakfast early and let him in to get food before he headed off to work. From the front desk to the kitchen staff, to the cleaning staff. I can't thank you enough for taking care of my husband and making this his home away from home for 67 days! I even came up to visit a few times and met some of the "family." We will definitely stay again the next time we need a long-term stay!

I was so nervous booking a Hotel in the Dallas area. I had a bad experience previously in another city and have been leery since. However, I am beyond glad I chose this hotel. Everything was perfect and comfortable. The staff was nice and welcoming, the complimentary breakfast has great options. The room was spacious and clean. The kitchen and bathrooms are great sizes also. We were able to stream HBO, Showtime and Youtube. It’s located in a parking lot with two restaurants and only 10-12 minutes from Downtown. There’s a basketball goal outside for the younger adults or kids to play. Already planning my next trip to Dallas.

We were in Dallas at the Vex World Robotics Tournament and stayed at the Residence Inn. Our hotel room was clean, well maintained and spacious. The location was excellent for travel to/from the tournament held at the Kay Hutchinson Convention Center. The breakfast offerings were excellent and the staff was helpful and very friendly. We definitely will stay there again if we have the opportunity.

The staff has been nothing but generously kind during our stay. I so wish I remembered their names but we’ve arrived in late after our work days so my memory is shot! However their service is beyond memorable. Welcome guest greets us warmly, has been attentive when we have questions, and make us feel like we just got back home. Marriott is lucky to have this staff! I travel a ton for work and this residence inn has been one of my faves — all because of the staff!

I'm very disappointed with this hotel. If you get a good room with a good view, GREAT! But if not, be ready to be looking out at a piece of there front building.Unfortunately i got a room on the 2nd floor close to the main entrance and right in front of the pool. It was 10:30 pm and people was still out in the pool. Not a good choice if you go with babies because otherwise they won't be able to sleep due to the loud noice.

Wow this place really was immaculate! the grounds are beautiful the hallways smell nice, like really clean and not caked with the sins of what really happens in hotel rooms. You can't hear anything from inside the room in the hallway. Everything looks brand new not a speck of dust in sight.

I don’t think I’ve left an actual review as an Ambassador, but I stay in hotels on a weekly basis via Marriott including various property levels as well, & this has (hands down) the best, sweetest and kind front desk staff. I will definitely stay here and recommend to my coworkers anytime we are in town. Clean and cozy rooms as well!

I have stayed at this hotel several times and have not a bad experience. The staff have always been very friendly and willing to accommodate me. The rooms are always clean and must salute the maid staff for their excellent work. The surrounding area outside of the hotel is well maintained with no liter or unkept landscape.

The staff made this a wonderful experience. From Miss Blessed at the front desk to the breakfast bar staff, everyone was so kind and friendly. If we asked for an item it was brought promptly to the room. Will stay here again next time we visit!
