Good honest home style cooking. It felt like we'd gone to a friend's house and they made us a meal. The people there don't speak much English but they were very patient and didn't mind explaining the dishes to us using Google translate. The vegetable soup tasted very wholesome and the rice platter with beef, beans, and fried plantain was hearty. Very enjoyable and a bit of a culinary adventure.
