Nice library. Quiet. Spacious. AC kept the place cool in the hot, humid weather. Parking lot makes for easy parking. BUT the staff were not at all welcoming. One young woman, especially, looked very bothered when I came in. They all seemed to want to avoid any eye contact. Not at all approachable to ask any questions. Normally I wouldn't care-- I don't go for people to be nice, but it was so blatantly obvious and bit surprising. I visit so many different libraries and the staff are always so nice and welcoming and wanting to be helpful. Such a nice library, too bad the people who work there aren't as pleasant.

the staff at this library is very inconsiderate. I was just there trying to study for an important exam and the staff was extremely loud I could not focus at all, I had to leave. I do not understand how a library staff could be this loud. It is totally unprofessional. I am very upset with this experience at this library because I have came here for years. The managers should try to limit the volume a little bit of the staff at the front desk because as I was leaving I saw a couple other people getting frustrated with the volume from the front desk.

I love libraries and this one is no exception. Two floors, children books upstairs, and lots of seating for reading. There is a large selection of books and is usually pretty empty, so there's no pressure to grab and go. The only problem is the staff, especially the ones scanning books. They seem very disinterested and almost annoyed at their jobs and the patrons. It's rather odd, considering the book restockers (who need to stay on their feet reorganizing shelves) are almost always cheery and ready to help.

Very rude and miserable people . One of the staff members stole my scarf. Although I called them the same day my scarf was left there and told them to keep it for me for 3 weeks. Billy took my name down and said ok I’ll put it in the lost and found box. When I went there to pick it up, he said he never spoke to me, and my scarf was gone. Instead of an apology he was extremely rude. These people hate their jobs and shouldn’t be working there. I will complain elsewhere since my scarf had an emotional value.

it's a library, SOMETIMES. half the time, it's a hang out. with the staff being the loudest! even if helping others, very loud. it's almost funny. I don't suggest going especially if trying to read or study. go, take a book out, and go read by a construction site. you might be better off.

Great branch for several reasons: it is always clean and organized. The staff, particularly Anna, Amy and Carolyn are friendly, knowledgeable, welcoming and always willing to help. The branch has various games, toys and activities for different ages. Highly recommend !

I gave it a 3 ☆ only because the staff seem to be so miserable. No smile no courtesy and if you ask a question its seems you are bothering them. Now don't get me wrong I understand that we all have our bad days but this is the atmosphere everytime I visit there.

My kids love going to the Richmondtown library. The children’s area is great for doing homework, reading a book, or using the computer. All through the summer they have different activities for the kids too. The staff is also full of helpful information.

The adult librarian, Mariel went above and beyond to help me with my computer help, from signing up with library cards to computer issues that I had, and also helped my son with library help upstairs in the children's room. The staff here

What a perfect library experience! The staff was incredibly helpful and it was a very peaceful environment to relax and enjoy a great read in! I highly recommend anyone to visit here and I will be back soon!

A nice place for a quiet read. Plenty of parking when you’re in early. I wish they have more variety of options. But still a gem in the neighborhood. My kids still use it sometimes to study quietly …

This is a very nice library with great in person programs for kids. The upstairs kids room has lots of books, tables and a rug with some toys. Staff was friendly and helpful.

  • Lina Najjar

Parking available and kids section upstairs which makes me feel safe letting them explore. Wish they had more foreign language books for kids other than spanish and russian.

this building is so much bigger and nicer than the others. There was plenty of space and the lighting was great! Everybody was so friendly I will definitely come back again

It's a library for whatever that is worth these days. There are lots of free dvd's but their book selection is a bit slim and anything new normally has a long wait list.

Personally enjoy coming here, sometimes it could be noisy so I would recommend bringing a noise canceling headphone and a sweater in the summer cause the ac is turntt.

This was a Covid testing site. Waited an hour in the cold and was told they were going to lunch for an hour. I left

You would expect a library to be quiet. Rather you got parents coming in and think it’s a social club
