Our 14 year old furnace was starting to fade with the inducer motor having difficulty reaching stage 2. Another Calgary HVAC company offered to install a new furnace and 2 new thermostats (for quite a bit of money) or to replace the inducer motor. I ordered the motor but since the switch was in backorder and since the company did not reach out to me to keep me updated, I cancelled the order and reached out to Ritchie's. The next day, Taylor promptly diagnosed the issues with the heating and explained that a new inducer motor would unlikely solve the efficiency problem since the furnace was quite old and likely partly clogged in some parts. After receiving a quote from Richie's for a new furnace, I decided to go ahead with the project. The pricing was quite fair. Graeme and Taylor promptly dismantled the old furnace, replaced it with a brand new one. They made the best use of the existing piping and thermostat which brought down the cost of the project. They also recommended using only one thermostat to keep the system as simple as possible. Graeme went above and beyond installing the new furnace by checking out our water tank and giving tips on safe water temperature (even adjusting everything himself). He also advised on how to make the best use of our infloor heating in the basement. As if this all this advice was not enough, he even fixed the intake and out flow ducting outside the house to make the air exchange safer and more efficient. Two days after completion of this project, we already reap the benefits of the new furnace : the heat throughout the house is finally balanced!. I do recommend this company for any plumbing or heating project.

I had called 4 plumbers before calling here. 2 never even bothered to return my call, the other was running two plumbing " business" and he was a street away, I live in forest lawn and wanted to support my community, the person didn't show up for the appointment and didn't call back to explain- ever. Then I called Ritchie's- I got a voice mail- no biggie, but before I even hung up, I was getting a return call. Moments later an appointment was booked and an e mail confirmation was sent. The day of the estimation work comes, Taylor is on time, clean, polite, radiating competence and humility. The price quoted, way cheaper than I was expecting- we made a date for the work to be done. That day comes, Taylors a wee bit late, but he called to let me know he was a bit behind and why. He owned it and there was a reason and he was out in front of it rather than me trying to track him down. That is professional and courteous. I was so impressed posted on my personal FB page. If you want work done, right, on time and to feel your respected for the money you are about to spend to keep your home healthy and safe- don't mess around, just book with Ritchie's.

Ritchie's plumbing recently replaced my hot water tank and furnace as well as serviced my air conditioning unit. My experience with Ritchie's was fantastic - Graeme arrived early for my quote appointment (after calling to confirm it was ok), he was super professional but honest with me about my options and concerns, then a quote for the work I requested was provided the next day by Charlotte. For the service appointment, they (Graeme and Taylor) were, once again, early, super efficient, friendly, and professional, providing me with all updates as the work was performed, and getting the job done as quickly as possible. This was an incredibly positive experience from start to finish!

Recently, my wife and I needed some plumbing work done at our house. We've used other plumbers before and they were ok, but this time we decided to try Ritchie's Plumbing. Very happy with the service I received recently from Ritchies. They are a relatively new company I think but they definitely know what they’re doing. I had them in to fix my hot water tank and it was past the point of repair so they ended up giving me a great deal on a new one. It’s never great when you have to make these kinds of calls but Charlotte was very accommodating and Graeme was professional and didn’t destroy my house in the process like previous handymen. If you’re looking for a plumber then don’t waste your time elsewhere and give these guys a call.

We recently had polyb piping replaced in our home by this company. They were competitively priced, completed the work on time and were easy to work with. Their customer service stood out to us as there were two unusual set backs with the work that were both addressed in a timely and efficient manner. When we contacted them regarding an issue, their response was immediate and effective. It also helped to have a drywall contractor that worked closely with them and coordinated the work so it took as little time as possible. They are a good company to work with.

I have a tankless water heater problem. I search google to find Ritchie's Plumbing & Heating online, and contact with them. Graeme is friendly and came quickly to take a look at our issue and fixed it in this extremely cold weather. I agree that someone's comment as Absolute perfection from start to finish. Not only did they fix the leak quickly, saving us money on a hotel for the tenant, but they also helped us out iwht the flooring that was wet and damaged as a result of the leak!
