Have used Robs four times. They installed a ceiling fan - and cracked the light glass but made good replacing it. A second install of lighting in an attic room was smooth - crew was friendly. Everything works well. Rob himself installed a motion sensor switch and AFIP plug a third time. The most recent work was to replace the light socket in an exterior pole light - a sort of carriage lantern which had shorted out. One worker was sent. He replaced the part, but work was poor. The fixture was loose, didn't make contact. Stopped working first night. I called again - same man sent. He fiddled with the part - same result, now bulb ended up crooked and didn't work at night. I called a third time - Rob was in the airport and seemed exasperated. The conversation went in the direction of him losing money on the job. I proposed that if his worker would help me remove the lantern part off the pole ( It is a two man job)- I would take it to a shop and have it (properly) repaired. We agreed on a date and time. I sent a text to remind him. When they didn't show I called Rob and he agreed to come next day after finishing current job. Never came, never called. I understand his resistance to keep sending someone which costs him money. On the other hand, all I wanted was a working light. I paid $300 and I still don't have a working light. The worker who was involved should have assessed the situation and realized this was not a quick - on site fix and suggest removing the fixture. Rob left me high and dry. Are you next?

The power in multiple areas of our house went out on a Friday afternoon (after hours of course). I spent all weekend trying to find an electrician but none answered their phones. On Monday I finally got in touch with someone and he stated he would be over the following day after work. This person never showed up and did not call, which left me back at square one again. Note, the power was off in my office and garage and kitchen. So my journey started all over again to find an electrician. I called several businesses and was again told it would be another week before someone could come out. I finally got in touch with Rob and I was pleasantly surprised when he said he could send someone out. Aaron, showed up within 30 minutes of my call, quickly assessed the problem, corrected the problem and was finished within one hour. He was very professional and informed us what was going on as he was trying to locate the problem. It should be noted that the internet was out during this time, which is my husband's life line and he was having a melt down because he couldn't communicate with his friends. (We are both senior citizens with disabilities.) Anyway, I highly recommend Rob's Electrical Services for any of your electrical needs. I would give them 10 stars if I could. Situation... Renting a new house. Older home. Some outlets are not grounded. Electricians that Ive spoke to have told me a ground to the house is needed in order to prevent.... 1. Fire to the home. 2. Electric injury to person. 3. Electrical damage to property (computers and such) Rob himself calls me and starts to question me about who told me about the house requiring a ground. I explained to him all I needed was documentation from a certified electrician that... 1. The house does not need to be grounded / a ground. 2. The house meets all current electrical codes. 3. The house has been inspected by a certified, licensed electrician. Robs Responce... 1. You sound scared 2. You sound stupid 3. You sound like a scammer??? 4. You are lucky you have somewhere to live? Again he called me. I call him back and ask him for his last name and he hangs up on me. Real professional. Long story short... I wouldn't waste a penny on this piece of scrap.

Used Robs a year ago and he sent out two guys that were great, got the jobs done in good time at fair cost… so we went to Robs again a few weeks ago. This time Rob himself was on the job (he claims) - but never showed up and didn’t respond to calls or texts. We gave him the benefit of the doubt… two weeks later we rescheduled and he never showed again. Absolutely ghosted us. Never responded other than an emoji of “”. Not sure what to make of that -political or unprofessional - but suffice it to say reliability is not there. After seeing other reviews it appears he has a pattern of doing this to a specific set of clients (search through them you’ll see what I mean). Very disappointing. Concerned that work done by his team “under warranty” is anything but legit and wont be covered if an issue emerges. Look elsewhere if you want work done without a hassle.

I installed a ceiling fan for my bathroom and needed it wired into the wall for a switch. I used Angies List to find them and they responded in less than 3 minutes. Rob had a guy at my house the next day to wire it in. I’m assuming the price was fair but I can’t validate that claim. He also said he had to charge me a bit extra because I found him on Angies List to cover those costs so just call him direct next time to save some $. He also came out for an estimate for a backyard project and gave me a good quote. I’d totally use them again for any electrical needs.

If I need electrical work in the future, I’ll be calling Rob’s Electrical Services. Rob was the first to respond to my search on Angi, and even though I wasn’t expecting anybody to agree to do this work on a Sunday, Rob arrived as promised, 20 minutes after our phone call. Super friendly, super professional, and didn’t waste any time getting to work. Rob is a nice guy, hard worker, and a great story-teller to boot! Hire Rob’s Electrical Services with confidence, knowing that your job will get done - on time - and at a very reasonable rate.

Rob’s Electrical Service was great! We moved to Jamul and needed some electrical work done. Rob was prompt and professional. He’s repaired outlets, recessed lighting and installed a ceiling fan. The fan is very large (68 inch). I asked for it to be installed in the center of the great room. He politely suggested a slightly different location, explaining that even though it’s not in the exact center of the room, it would be more esthetically pleasing. He was absolutely right! So glad we found Rob’s Electrical Service.

I have used this company multiple times in both my personal property and rental property. They always respond quickly and make sure I’m taken care of. I am 100 percent satisfied everytime and I wish I would have posted this review sooner because they earned it. Definitely a fair and trustworthy business here in San Diego and that’s not easy to come by.

After being late all day he called and said his guy was on the way and then gave me an exhorbitant quote of $190 per hour. Which is way too much but now it was too late in the day to call anyone else. He also yelled at me on the phone to intimidate me into keeping the appointment. I am going to report him to the authorities and better business bureau.

Found and repaired shorted outlet which caused power outage in kitchen. Installed can-light system to living room. 1. Very profession response, location of problem, and repair. Very reasonable cost. 2. Installed can-light system to poorly lit living room in 3 hours. Very pleased with work and finished project, and overall cost. Great work ethic!
