I've been in the hobby for over 10 years. I've brought several fishes for my 220 gallon FOWLR from Roberts Reef past couple of years. Nowadays we have many options to buy saltwater fishes. But for me this is a very good saltwater fish store; they do it the right way: the fishes look healthy and it appears that the fishes are acclimated in the correct manner. Here's the thing, for me when you go into a lfs and look at their display tanks and how they managed them, the water quality, healthy corals and fishes, tanks are clean and beautiful, etc... you will know the quality of the store right away. The price is reasonable. The gentleman at the store was accommodating and helpful at the same time not pressing. The thin man w the beard think his name is Robert, he was pretty cool, down to earth and pleasant to talk to. Btw my wrasse and bristletooth tang from Roberts Reef are still thriving for over a year now.

Incredibly nice store! Today was our first visit ever and drove over an hour to visit. My girlfriend and I normally visit DNA and Fish Gallery as our usuals and I have got to say if you are a reef keeper please visit this store and see a new standard. Every coral was so healthy. Incredibly well priced as well, I was amazed to find a green toadstool for half off what I was going to pay online and they had the green clove polyps I have been searching for for months after my girlfriends first frag died off. I presume it was the owner we dealt with and even when he pulled the polyp frag out he forewarned me he noticed a little aptasia on it so I could properly handle it. Incredible honesty there because he could have bagged the coral and not cared about my piece of the sea. Will definitely return here!

Rude !!!!! ABSOLUTELY rude !!!!! I just moved and I’m re starting up my 120 gallon reef tank. I needed to 120 pounds of live rock. 140 gallons of saltwater. And enough coral to fill 120 gallon tank. Thousands of dollars of stuff I am 100 percent purchasing from somebody for sure. Never have I ever met such rude people uninterested in a sale. 2 guys working there. No customers but myself. Wallet open ready to buy. And these guys were more interested in talking to each other about their personal lives than servicing a paying customer. They treated me like I was a burden. Ladies and gentlemen. You can get EVERYTHING they sell for the same price or cheaper from many other places. I suggest you shop there. These guys don’t want your business. They won’t help you. They won’t answer question.

My husband and I are new to the hobby. We have shopped 2 other salt water stores in the Fort Worth area and Robert's Reefs beats their selection by far. I love the pricing labels. They include pictures of the fish, tell the nature, the diet and the price. The other 2 stores I visited did not have clear pricing direction and we had to ask multiple times what things were and how much the cost was. Our tank still needs some work so we only ended up purchasing a small amount of live rock and some food for our fishies. We will definitely be back when it is go time! Also, they have customer appreciation punch cards! That is a huge bonus for me :) Date of visit: 8/29/2019 5:00 PM first visit-we had to attend a school function 7:15 PM second visit and purchase

Wanted to buy from them on Facebook and they stated since I’m not a regular customer they banned me from buying? That doesn’t make sense they are shady people out for your money they make their prices so high that when they do their 50%off sale they still try to make a profit from it I have all messages of them being spiteful that you come to the store to look around who wants to spend 200$ or more everytime it’s a free world you can literally walk in any store and walk out with nobody being spiteful that you didn’t buy from them...don’t do business here there is a reason they moved their location and lost their old business partners.

I’m a long time customer for the past 10yrs! These guys know 100% saltwater aquariums. All of the fish are inspected upon arrival and quarantined. The consistant assortment of corals is amazing! If your a new comer coming into this family owned store say hi! Don’t be shy! The guys are awesome! I’ll also point out they offer aquarium maintenance, my tank has never looked fuller and better in the recent years! Great place for saltwater enthusiasts! Been coming here for over a year, I actually drive by a different store to go here. Why? Knowledge and selection! Competitive prices, amazing selection of fish and corals, and plenty of experts and who can help get the job done. Thanks to Robert and his team, they hooked me up with a sweet 120 gallon tank, for an amazing price. Let me borrow the tools to move it too. Just visited and wasn’t very pleased. 1 of the guys that greeted me (older guy) seemed annoyed I was asking questions and then seemed to get a attitude over a misunderstanding. I asked if they have any frag tanks (tanks with frags for sale, even said that part) and I was met with a attitude of “ yeah we have frags”. Maybe next time be a little more polite and show people the frag room in the BACK of the building instead of catching a attitude…maybe he was just upset I interrupted his photo taking session ‍♂️

I frequent many local fish stores and most are friendly and very helpful. When walking into this shop the atmosphere was cold and the staff was not helpful at all. I felt like I was being watched the entire time like I might steal something. The skinny bearded man (no clue of his name because he never spoke to me) stares the entire time like he expected me to steal. Not to mentioned the extremely vulgar language being thrown around by employees as I walked through the shop with my 11 year old daughter. A shame...

A friend told me about this place and I am so glad he did. This place is awesome. First of all i was greeted promptly with a friendly welcome, which made me feel good about the money I knew I would be spending over the next week. The tanks were very clean and well kept. The display tanks were full and nicely aquascaped. The frag tanks were nicely organized and labeled well. And boy do they have a ton of fish. I wish I would have had more time, but believe me I will be back. Thanks for the hospitality, Cameron

Really enjoyed this store! We are starting our first saltwater aquarium. They had a lot of great information and everything is labeled so nicely! All the aquariums show each individual fish along with name and description of reef safety and demeanor. Very impressed with everything. All fish also looked healthy and tanks were cleaned and well kept. We live in KC, mo so we didn’t get to buy any fish but we would if we lived closer 1000%!

Walked in not knowing what to expect as I had been visiting some reef stores to figure out who I would be buying from and one word describes this place. WOW. They have some of the best corals I have seen as well as a sps dedicated tank that is absolutely stunning, not to mention the 450 or what ever size tank that is next to it. Their staff is helpful and very knowledgeable. Great place........absolutely.

I’ve bought fish and corals from Robert, Josh and Gregg and it’s always a pleasant experience and I feel like the price is always fair. Torches always in stock, super bright zoas, rainbow nems, blastos, brain coral, sticks, elegance - you name it they got it. Super good deals and super clean store. Very Interesting. Not the most aesthetically pleasing, but they have a huge selection of Marine fish and corals. I did buy a coral thinking oh wow it’s beautiful, it looks nothing like what I thought I was getting. Too much black lightning in that shop. Also my the fish I bought never ate after bringing it home and it died. Might not have anything to do with them but.

You can't get much better than Robert's for your Marine aquarium needs in this area. Great service, great owner, very knowledgeable, and always helpful. Look for routine sales on livestock and coral! They also have a really decent incentive program for regular customers that I have taken full advantage of. Look nowhere else for your marine aquarium needs.

Went in to look at fish with intent to purchase with my son beautiful fish!! However the worst customer service I have ever encountered!!!!! Didn't even acknowledge us as we walked in didn't acknowledge us as we walked around the store only to give us glares as I'd we didn't belong in store!!! Very disappointing and willl never go to this place again!!!!

My family and I have visited this store many! Many! Times. Rober, Greg, and the rest of the staff are so helpful. I appreciate going into this location because the tanks are all clean and the stock is healthy!!! They answer all your questions and know how to help you if you have any issues with your tanks!! Love this place. This place has everything from a wide selection of products and livestock to friendly staffs who really cares about the hobby. This place has me returning every time im looking to add new livestock or for maintenance and upkeep. A really great place for beginners and experts and the hobby!

We’ve been coming to this store regularly for several years now. Initially for saltwater but since have bought many corals and many fish. Their tanks are clean, stock is healthy and corals are stunning! Staff is very knowledgeable and always willing to help or answer any questions. Always our go to lfs!

Started this hobby last year , been there three times just to take some look on their main display tank , but never received any greetings from beginning even after purchased livestocks there, sort of arrogant attitude . Not very like it and will never visit this shop again .

Excellent service. Extremely knowledgeable and helpful. First time to own a coral reef, took allot of time with questions I had. Took the time to show me how to clean the sand. This was the third place I've visited and definitely will only use this place. It was fun too!

Very good selection of fish and coral all the animals and tanks are very healthy. The staff is extremely helpful and knowledgeable. They do sell saltwater and RO for water changes and top offs. This is a saltwater only fish store.

Hands down the best saltwater store the DFW area. Knowledgeable staff that are always there to answer any questions. Great selection. Fair prices. Our family drives into the DFW area, over an hour drive, just to visit this store.

Easter Sunday 2022. Went to this store for the first time. Looked around for few minutes and then left. Never talked to anyone because we were never approached by anyone. The store smelled like an ashtray. I will not be back.

Biggest problem i have here is they have too many things i want and i dont have enough tank lol. Always a joy coming here im in almost every week for one thing or another. Got my seahorses from them and they are doing great!

Great coral selection, but they're super expensive compared to the other stores in the area. I'm not sure if it was because I'm young or a woman, but the guy working treated me like I had no basic knowledge of fish tanks.
