Not too impressed with Rochester at Stoneridge's after sale service. When we were instore, the on floor staff were readily available to assist us and when we decided to purchase some items (couches, coffee table, tv table) they were really quick to process the payment and get that the delivery done. The order was delivered that same day around 6pm and while the delivery guys unwrapped the couches because it comes in segments, a section that goes right in the middle of the l-shape came delivered in a different color from the rest of the couch. Which is not what we ordered. The couch we ordered instore is a light grey color, this individual middle piece came delivered a beige cream color COMPLETELY different to the rest of the couch. So essentially it looks really strange and cheap. We spent a small fortune on all the items combined. It has been over a week and after being told twice a call was logged with the warehouse we are still stuck with a different color couch. Not too happy because I feel like they were really eager to take our money but are not concerned enough to fix the mistake they made in delivery...
Dear Rochester Furniture. Out of desperation I'm now turning to Facebook. Your staff at the Stoneridge branch (Sibusiso and Zane), head office contact (Sifiso) and the finance team email (Louisa)... Are competitively all equally as bad in customer service. Our tale of frustration and disappointment started on the 3rd of February already. It's been more than a month and we're still waiting for the remaining amount of our refund - R8000. We've have phoned countless times and we get shoved from pillar to post on the daily. Our money is gaining interest in your account. Your team at Stoneridge have NO CLUE what is going on, and always promise to phone us back to no avail. Not even head office or the account team phones back and they simply refuse to take calls from clients. How can a long-standing company of your magnitude and reputation still stand? Your brand's service is terrible. If anyone knows someone that can help, please do let me know.
Terrible After Sales Service - Don't spend your money here! I bought a R30 000 lounge suite in 2014 from Rochester. The recliner broke in 2020. I have been to the store on 2 occasions to see if I can get it repaired, but unless I can provide an invoice number they are not prepared to help me. I was referred to their head office, where i was given the same run around.. no invoice, no repairs, even though I am willing to pay for the repair. Never in my life have i had such poor after sales service. All I am asking for was a referral to someone who will assist me! The store sells nice products... till something goes wrong. They are not prepared to bend over backwards for their customers. I will never spend a cent here again. Adios!

Pathetic and disgusting aftersales service from this store and store manger, Zain. 1. He asked his cashier to ask me for my phone number - how unprofessional. 2. Sold me a faulty item in October which I returned on the same day, and am still waiting for a refund! I keep calling and emailing - the store manager had the audacity put the phone down while i was still talking. Absolutely disgusted by this service and this store manager. Better off spending your money elsewhere!!!
Terrible after sales. I bought a dining room suite from Rochester Stoneridge. The table leg has a nail sticking out the side. The leather upholstery on the dining chairs were creased and dirty. Scratch marks on the chair legs. We logged a complaint and was given a repair reference that was logged twice. A week has passed and I have heard nothing. I called to ask when are they picking it up and all I get is we working on it.
Recently bought a couch and bed at rochester stoneridge and the customer service was excellent including the products. We were assisted by one of the sales representative Thabang Mothlabane his service was top notch he made the experience of purchasing here a breeze be sure to ask for him when you visit the store.
Absolutely disorganised. I paid 4k for a coffee table and had to go to JD supply chain in Jet park to collect. Collection took over 2 hours. The least you can do is send it to the store and allow customers to pickup. Will never buy another item from Rochester based on this since the store doesn’t keep stock.
Horrible experience! We will never be buying anything from them again! Their customer service is severely lacking and they don't even bother on following up when they say they will. The delivery service is just as pathetic since you have no idea when they will be delivering until they phone you. PATHETIC!
Bad experience with purchasing a couch during the festive season. There was a delay in the delivery which resulted in me postponing my holiday. Eventually the couch was only delivered the following month. Won't really be returning to this branch for any purchasing.

Sonca is the man. From the word go he assist us, testing almost all the couches in the store. And on the day of delivery he went out of his way to make my wife's birthday special by delivering the benches personally after hours to my house.
Purchased a Plasma Stand on backorder with Zayn. Order came through earlier than expected. Stand needed an extra shelf. Arrangements were made and the unit was swapped out within 2 weeks with a new one. Great service.
I bought a bed here about three months back. Store manager Zain was helpful and ensured the bed was delivered on time.
