I went to Rogue Kitchen & Wetbar to meet a girl. I can't really think of a better reason to go to a bar, then to meet a girl, especially a pretty one. Even straight girls would probably agree with me on that one. I'd share a picture but she hates cameras, unless it's her own. All things considered, it was a small price to pay. First of all I think it's fair to say that bars have never been about food and drink. They're about people, communication, and human connection. Hanging out with friends and family, and making moments. Rogue Wetbar is a good choice for this job. It's not pretentious or exclusive. It seems to be open to any and all. I'd never been to Rogue on Broadway before but I've walked past it a lot because West Broadway is a very popular street and it's a block from the Broadway-City Hall train station. My trip to Rogue happened on a Thursday night. Which I prefer because the light is more dramatic. I'm still not sold on that single R in the word Rogue being red and the rest of the letters are not. Interesting design choice but it does get your attention. Which may be the point. I sat in the Wetbar, at the bar, right on the far end so I could have a good view of the establishment. I liked the layout. There was ample seating, comfy chairs, good lighting, nice ambiance, and a very nice bartender. I also liked the beer he recommended. A 1664 Kronenbourg. It was quite good for being non-alcoholic. So good I would actually return to Rogue just for the beer. I didn't order any food because we were just having drinks, but the menu looked good to me. However, I'm not really a foodie, I just like taking pictures of it. The dining area looked fine from a distance and seems equally well in design and layout. There is a large patio space as well, that is adjacent to the dining room. My only caveat with the Wetbar experience was the music. Most bars crank the music too loud and Rogue was no different. If the volume had been a little lower the vibe would have been perfect. Then I could have understood what the girl was actually saying. But I get it, it's a business first and a bar second. Loud music supposedly increases sales of alcohol and encourages people to not loiter in the bar…talking to pretty girls. Even coffee shops crank the music too high for similar reasons. Edit: About the music. We went back to Rogue on a Saturday and Sunday, but this time we sat in the dinning (lounge) area and the music was much lower. It was great. So sit in the lounge if you want to talk. I also tried the Warsteiner non-alcoholic beer and it was great. As was the onion rings and the salt & pepper chicken wings.

Not too long ago, my girlfriend and I were kind of tired eating downtown, so we decided to shake things up and pay a visit to this Rogue Kitchen & Wetbar. We both had to do a combination of walking, skytraining, and bussing to get there, so we were hoping the food was going to make it worth it. Rogue has a pretty standard menu that'll satisfy most anyone, so we didn't have a problem finding items that we wanted to eat. The Nachos had their chips practically all stuck together, so we were pulling the chips apart to eat them. And there wasn't enough guacamole or sour cream for all the chips. The flatbread tasted fine, although we both joked that we should send it back because every slice had basil except the last one. The Avocado, Tuna Concoction that my girlfriend ordered tasted "healthy," according to her. You can take that however you want to. As for myself, I was very happy with the Lobster Mac and Cheese and wolfed it down in no time. Overall, it was hit and miss. If I was dining in again, I would probably try some different appetizers. Online, though, I was able to order their Steak and Cajun Salmon Risotto, both of which taste amazing. Naturally, I had to get the Lobster Mac and Cheese, too. There's something for everyone, so I'd recommend you try this place out.

Food was ok. Service was very lacking on a slow Sunday when we went for happy hour. We ordered drinks and said we needed a little bit more time with the menu for food. After the drinks were dropped off, the server/bartender went off and did not ask us about our food order. We noticed that every other person besides our table get service and food while our table was avoided and not checked up on even for water refills for 20 min despite passing right by us 5-6 times. The bar and table that was seated after us (not to mention that table was right in front of us) got checked on frequently. We did finally get the server's attention only to be told he thought we were only getting drinks which is odd because we gave absolutely NO indication that we were getting JUST drinks. We did get in our food order after that and water refills but we ordered way less than what we planned because I wanted to go home at that point. We've been to the location in Gastown a couple of times for happy hour. The food and service was fine and we've had no issues at that location. Overall, this location of Rogue really misses the mark in terms of basic service.

We recently visited Vancouver and we just had to eat at a restaurant with the same name as our granddaughter, Rogue! We called for reservations and asked if they had any merchandise with the name on it. Although they didn't specifically have anything, they assured us they would find us something. And they did not disappoint, we were gifted a very pretty glass with Rogue written on it. Can't wait to give it to our granddaughter!! Now for the atmosphere and food. Being from Ontario, we are not really use to so much rain. That day was rainy and damp and we were looking for some great comfort food. We both ordered the taco meal, with homemade cauliflower soup YUMMY, caesar salad and a beef brisket taco. Just what we needed, and topped it off with sharing a hedgehog cake. Our waitress (Vic- 98 _ _) was delightful, sweet and very attentive. The next time we are in Vancouver, we would definitely make a trip back to Rogue for a meal. Would like to try the breakfast menu.

Usually I like Rogue but this past visit wasn't that great. I came for brunch, maybe that was my problem, usually I come for happy hour. I was left at the table after being seated for a long time which normally wouldn't bother me but I was starving. My eggs unfortunately weren't cooked the way I wanted them and the sausage was hard as a rock. I really didn't want to complain, because I didn't want to be the complainer. BUT, let me tell you about Rogue's Bao and their flatbread. Delish! So good I get them everytime. I feel like I should branch out but I never do. All three styles of bao are yummy but I prefer the pork. Happy hour here is a really good deal. I won't be back for brunch, but I'll be back for bao!

I use to go to this restaurant when in the area, but this time the food was terrible, I normally order the quinoa salad, this time had it with grilled chicken but the chicken had no taste just horrible seemed to be boiled and put on top of the salad so bland, no taste whatsoever. They use to have their famous clam chowder not anymore... Very disappointed. They keep changing chefs. Will not return. And the bathroom stalls are always pitch black, they say it ts to keep the drug addicts away now that’s a sign.

Thank you for coming to our party's rescue at the last minute. Not only did they accommodate a table of 12 last minute on a Friday night, but they were super friendly with such a large group. The service was amazing and speedy, the food was great and tasty. Thank you again for making this all happen on a whim. Greatly appreciated and will definitely be back! Highly recommend coming here!!

They catered for a company after hours event and you could definitely tell the food was all frozen microwave appies which were made up of smaller versions of menu items. Really poor quality, probably wouldn't come here for food on a normal dine in day because of that. Drinks were alright but they had a lot of rules for what you could or couldn't order. Might have been the package my company paid for but it would have been nicer if they just made a separate menu or something for you to choose from. They sectioned off a whole area for us which was nice.

I love the ambience and the food was great! However, the service was really slow and nobody really checked in on us. It took forever for us to take our order, get more food/drinks, ask for salt and pepper and even pay our bill. I think there was a server switch over and there was a lack of communication there. But the last server seemed really displeased to be taking over our table. It was to the point I just wanted to pay and leave because I was getting annoyed with how long it took to attend to our table. Even after getting our food, nobody asked how it was at all until we had to flag somebody down.
We went here for an early dinner because we were gifted a gift card. Between two people, we ordered and shared the cajun salmon risotto and the two piece fish and chips. The risotto was tasty with a creamy sauce, though the salmon tasted a bit dry. The dish overall was warm, but not hot. The fish and chips were fine and the fish came out hot, but the fries were more on the "warm" side. The two pieces of fish were good portions whereas the fries portion was really small.

My party of 6 was desperate for food after travelling from Tacoma. The hostess was amazing and was able to squeeze us in at 6pm on Boxing Day. Our server Vinse was an absolute legend in helping us out and ensuring my gluten-intolerant family were kept safe from any gluten. Thank you. Food was great! Poutine was fantastic, they took great care of the lobster mac and cheese, our risotto balls, the jambalaya, the salmon, and the burger. Highly recommend and it was both a harbour and a delight for my in-laws first time to Vancouver. Thank you, Rogue!

This is the second time I've been there. The food is very good, as are the drinks. The first time, the service was fantastic. Today it wasn't as good but it's not bad. We ordered appetizers and mains at the same time, making it clear that we would have mains after the appies. Not that that should even have to be explained, but they brought out everything at once. It felt like they were trying to move us on quickly. While I was not pleased by that, it hasn't deterred me enough to not give them a second chance. Hoping it was a one time mistake.

For our wedding anniversary dinner my wife wanted to go somewhere casual this year and she wanted to go to her favourite happy hour restaurant. It was a quiet Monday beautufil late summer afternoon and we sat at the patio. We ordered our favourites; fish taco, big LeBaoski, bao bun... Joe our server and recently promoted to manager surprised us with drinks and dessert or our special occasion. It was a relaxing and pleasant dinner. No complaints at all. Always enjoyable at this Rogue location. Thanks again Joe.

While the all day happy hour has really good choices to choose from, the service was not great. I had booked the reservation through open table and mentioned I was celebrating my birthday tonight. In all other restaurants, the host or waitress would be aware of this and a simple greeting would be given. This was not the case in this restaurant. Even though staff were nice, I don't believe the customer service aspect was present. We had paid the bill and the waitress walked away without saying anything. I was the one who had to say thank you!
Went in on a Thursday night and was sat down immediately. Servers were friendly and attentive and covid measures were taken seriously (Plexiglass, social distancing). Our server noticed we were near an open door and offered to close it, which was very appreciated as we were cold but unsure where the draft was coming from. Ambience was nice and quiet for an intimate dinner. I noticed a few new menu items and ordered the bang bang 2.0 which is essentially a Thai style yellow curry with rice and naan. It was really good!
Rogue has a regular menu and a happy hour menu. Their regular menu runs all day and does not come with any particular lunch specials. I had the crispy chicken sandwich, with chicken strips and a side of poutine. Co worker had the blacken chicken sandwich. Both sandwiches came a la cart.....meaning it does not come with any sides.....We both agreed the food did not justify the price. If you are looking for a lunch in the area, there are plenty of other options nearby like cactus club across the street.
This Rogue Kitchen location was rather quiet for a weekday. We were seated straight away and got our food in a timely manner. The fries were delicious, and my teriyaki bowl was far more abundant and filling than I expected - but it tasted great. The steak was cooked to perfection and complemented the rest of the flavours in my bowl beautifully. We didn't order any drinks, but the server filled our water glasses quite often.

The food at this place is amazing. So is the ambience and hospitality. They have amazing tacos - specially the cauliflower one is really good apart from the fish ones. Lot of good healthy salads like the kale and quinoa one is pretty nice. There are plenty of options for vegetarians as well. Very well made brussel sprouts and do try the veggie sliders burgers as well. Pretty amazing. Good selection of seafood like calamari also. Overall a pretty good menu and great place to go.
Very cozy and a great place to be. Good food and variety, good beer variety. Happy hour beer only Session Lager...beer prices $5HH -7.50 per pint non appy hour Stuff excellent, waitress and bartender Fast and knockledged about the food menu and drinks Pleasant background music. Clean washrooms. Parking in the proximity to the restaurant, expensive $4-$5/ hour. Down the street north, 5 min walk, you can find free parking. Must go and see place. Really nice.
The service was excellent, our server was so attentive. We have not seen this in a long time. The food is very good and has lots of options for everyone from kids to adults to vegetarians. They accommodated special requests for a kid friendly chicken burger. The presentation and food was very tasty.

The waiter was great. He opened the door for us and sat us down right away. Big guy with a great attitude and welcoming personality. I think he needs more help as he was everywhere....Thanks for the great service...food was a bit salty but overall it's pub food with a nice twist...chowder very rich and creamy was great tasting. Overall nice place to sit and have a drink and eat ...will go back...get that guy some help already.

Place is very nice, and cozy. Service is great at all times. But food was not very good a lot of taste is missing on plates. They have a lot of food variety from all over (curry, hamburgers, tacos, salads, plant based, and more) and I tasted 4different dishes and all of them were missing flavor. I order tofu bang bang and it was...ok. so they definitely have a choice for everyone but not as good.
The atmosphere here is lovely. I am visiting from out of town and my friend suggested this place. I was seated in Victoria’s section, if you get the chance to sit with her, PLEASE DO she is fantastic and I cannot recommend her enough. She was friendly, knowledgeable, and had great people skills, such a wonderful experience, we planned to come here again and sit in her section!
We went for late night happy hour and had a great time! Dry ribs, chicken Bao and Italian rice balls were all great - our favorite was the Bao. Also tried the donuts - yum! Service was so attentive and kind. Open late which is rare in this area.

The half nachos for $13, they should be embarrassed. There were about 12 taco chips on the plate. The $9 poutine for the table wasn’t a bad portion so long as the table is 1-2 people. Our 1st was great but then she had to switch to the bar and the 2nd server we had was hovering non stop. Will go back to give another shot as some point but won’t be ordering the nachos
First off, their food is outstanding! Their happy hour specials are quite impressive too. Service for the most part was pretty good, although they probably needed more people there on a Sunday (had to wait 10-15 mins to flag down someone for napkins, and that was after the second attempt to flag him down!) Overall, a damn good experience. I'll be back for sure!
I’d recommend this place for happy hour drinks and appetizers. The service is on the slower end and the main course dinner options were only mediocre. I tried the Jambalaya but it was heavy on the rice and sauce mostly. Can’t say I would rush back here but it’s still a decent spot for a cocktail or beer. The prices are starting to increase quite a bit too.
A colleague and I went here for lunch at around 1:45 PM. No reservation needed. The ambiance inside is much much better than the patio seating. We had Thai noodle salad and their new veggie burger. Good food. Great service. And prime location!

Food was delicious. The four different plates we ordered were great. Good variety. Our waitress was attentive. Only reason why didn't give 5 stars was due to having to wait a long time to be greeted and seated. There was no one at the front for a number of minutes we almost walked out but glad we stayed as the food was great

I gave Rogue all 5 stars for quality, price and service. Upscale bar food with some unique additions. I opted for the old standby, Fish and Chips and was not disappointed. Crispy, lightly battered, fries crispy and lightly salted. This is bar food, but there's something for about any taste. Reasonably priced as well. More
Went during happy hour. Specials were ok but still a bit pricey. Really good beer menu. Clean and modern interior, and not too noisy. Main dishes were okay, I had the lobster Mac and cheese, little underwhelming, probably won't get that again. Similar with dessert. Probably come back to try other dishes/beer, but no rush.

Good place for drinks and soul food. My burger was very good. My partner ordered pizza that was not really a pizza so he asked to change it to a different dish. It got confused and we got another burger instead. Which was fine in this case.

Great food and our server, Ash was awesome! If ther hadn't been a shift change, this would be a five star review. Love the beer selection, especially @Offtherailsbrewery Big Honkin' Chonker!
The food (flatbread, hamburger, kale salad) was good, but the manager (not my server) was rude. She put down my dishes so hard when serving as much as the manager herself was a bit confused.
Happy hour from 2-6pm and has great selection of drinks and food. We also got the jambalaya, has too much ingredients but too little rice, but the flavour is awesome. Service is pretty good.
This used to be a good place to watch the game, but they started serving homeless people here regularly. Hard to enjoy fries with the stench of urine and stale smoke wafting through the air.
Really nice venue and it felt like a up end sports bar with screens everywhere and great ambience. Good venue for kids as well and as a big group, they were very helpful and accommodating.

Similar to an Earls or Cactus club. Diverse menu. Huge rotating beer selection. Friendly staff, clean. Food was fresh and tastey. Small patio.
Nice place with nice food. A touch more expensive than I'd expected, but they have a great list of beer and whiskey, so it's worth it.
I quite like their happy hour menu such as this peach Bellini. Lots of different things to try! Awesome tacos to go with these too!
