I feel extremely miserable, I feel like this due to the current school system forcing me to learn things that are irrelevant for my future, and doing the things I like to do at home no longer looks or sounds fun. I do have a theory for that, and I do think it has to do something with school lowering my self esteem and it is washing over me and now I don’t have the will to do anything I like. And adding to the things that make me miserable is the people in the school primarily, the students in the school, people trying to be wanna be gangsters, people trying to be cool, narcissist, hypocrites, etc (I know it isn’t the school fault for the action of the student but they can at least discipline them but it isn’t that hard to discipline student at all). the school also doesn’t enforce any rules to any things that they do not care about picking up trash and only caring about the stupidest things like enforcing having no phones which I find stupid which then gets rid of communication and some people making friends like having stickers on the phone case and if someone notices they have a chance of being friends due to having common interest. Also, they aren’t much talk on why people don’t do they work all the teachers I’ve witness in my time of being at school always say that is an excuse then seeing the other person perspective they all say “that’s an excuse” then asking or understanding the person’s situation but they need permission for the caretaker or their doctors. And the other things that I hate is useless test that doesn’t need to exist like a geometry test or for trigonometry I have no interest in rocks and I’m not going to be an architecture. test should exist for the person that like to do the subject, why doesn’t school do what uni does or what one school in Finland does which is pick a course that you want to do this is a great idea due to people wanting to do what they like or good at and they can develop to those skills or interest that they have instead why have knowledge being force down our throats and homework is even worse due to stressing the students out and some teachers say “work that out” this is a very ignorant statement as people handle stress differently. Also, people are overwhelmed with many responsibilities like for example work, their future that they must plan it out, being forced to do uni or enforcing it and not stopping at that point where they don’t want to do uni. Also, teachers should stop treating us like we are children or at least find where the maturity of their students to have a connection or at least not sounding patronising or arrogant. And the classrooms are so boring and dry deprive of any life also they ventilation in every classroom I’ve been to that isn’t the art room, kitchen, 3d etc, also put some thought and colour into the classroom so it doesn’t look like a mental prison. I have a new hatred for people due to their selfish desire and goals and that my intellect is wasted in this place I am a visual thinker/leaner but school god damn rotten my brain to the extent I can barely visualise anything that isn’t the thing I’m interested in like cooking for example when I was in food tech I manage to somewhat or completely mimic the knife skills and my memory is being degraded because I use to remember multiple things. Also, I hate how the school tells you to be a critical thinker but doesn’t do anything about it but when there is a critical thinker that doesn’t view on what they want the shut it down. And the school their teaching method is bad it only teaches the students to memorise and not use any other method to memorise, like the Mnemonics method which is more effective due to it triggering memorise to recall any events. I am a quick leaner but again school is most to be blamed due to the subject and utility of the subject being absolutely useless I’m not going to ever use like English or the majority of English itself I am never going to write a story or a full paragraph unless I’m an office worker which I am never going to be in a boring lifeless job selfish

It's essential to recognize that they are relatively new in their role and shouldn't strive to overcompensate. It's often more beneficial to lead with humility and genuine care for the students' well-being and academic growth. Furthermore, I've been hearing from my child that some teachers at this school don't seem to prioritize the needs of the students. This is a concerning issue because, ultimately, the quality of education and the support provided by teachers play a pivotal role in a student's overall experience and success. In conclusion, it is my honest opinion that Roma Mitchell Secondary College does not rank favorably as a choice for education. I would strongly advise against considering this institution for your child's education. It appears to have various issues related to uniform enforcement, identity, leadership, and teacher-student interactions that should give any parent pause. There are likely better options available that genuinely prioritize the well-being and academic growth of students.

Horrible school the students are rude not caring about you unless your their friend most teachers only care about money and don't care about what you think or your work the front office ladies are very rude and pretty stupid not knowing what to do and not knowing what anything is and act like your an idiot and the ICT delete your stuff on the computers even if there yours they get mad if you don't use Safari and they wipe your mac and don't care about anything on there and they don't even fix the computers they just send it to Apple and rely on them to fix it they even stole my MacBook charger and made me pay for it when they already had it the library lady is very rude she is also more rude to males and accused me of stealing a camera that i returned to her and i once saw a boy get yelled at for borrowing a camera for photo class and when a girl went up she was saying how good she looks and was being really nice and told her to have a good day and when it was my turn she asked for my name and pretty much told me my life is useless and when she gave me the camera she told me to go and also once told my friend he can't have a camera and gave it to a girl instead the school never uses aircon in the heat and once lied saying we were in the girls campus when we were never moved there they always lie to the parents about how they are a good school i got in trouble once for handing up my work and told to go into a office just because of how my face looks and then i was called dumb by one of the head teachers and one teacher stalked me for a whole day once and a teacher told me off for nothing the principal is not very smart and is oblivious to everything thats happening at the school one teacher tried to steal my bag and another teacher wanted to keep my phone i HIGHLY suggest to stay away from this trash school 0/5

Simultaneously home to some of the best and worst teachers in South Australia. Although many of the teachers are incredibly supportive, competent, and passionate about their subjects, others simply couldn't care less, have the mental capacity of a 10 year old, and/or are just as irritable and moody as the teenagers that they teach. Canteen staff are rude and act as if they are doing you a favour by allowing you to give them your business. Library and IT staff are much the same. Facilities are modern and (generally) well maintained. This is because the school tends to place far more importance on portraying itself as a prestigious faux-private school than on actual educational outcomes. This is reflected by its emphasis on flashy but ultimately ineffectual programmes such as IB and an unreasonably strict uniform policy (wearing a pair of socks that is the wrong shade of grey warrants a detention). Of course this transparent attempt at putting lipstick on a pig is almost universally seen through by the public, and has done little to improve the school's reputation.

Awesome school, but it has its ups and downs. No matter What!!! DON'T DO ART ( Visual ART), Im warning you kids, you'll regret it. We learnt it the hard way. Pass this on to future generations. Overall tho, teachers supportive, convince you not to commit suicide, as well as show you the brighter side of life. Still 1 star tho! >:C . IF!, just if you really want to do something practical based like art...Do photography, from what i've gathered its EXTREMELY easier, depending on who your classmates are, the level of fun will vary.

It doesn't even deserve a star but it doesn't let me post unless I put one up :/ This school is a terrible place to be at, some people were nice but HELEN NIELSON and OVERALL (idk how to spell the lady's name lol) were the most terrible supporters and instead of making me want to go to school, they made me hate it. I really like the experience I have had in this school so far. Most of the teachers are supportive and care about your wellbeing. My language teacher is really the one that makes me hate this school. She always picks on me for no reason. One day around 10 people had their laptop opened in the language class so I decided to check daymap and she decides to pick on me. Some teacher have favourite students but overall the school education is good. BTW this is not manik im pretending to be manik lol.

Good school, Just an issue, If you wear anything incorrect, you get a detention. Don't get me wrong the school is perfect. But having wrong socks?? I just don't understand. School doesn't focus on education. Instead they care about your uniform. Wrong uniform? No problem. Detention. Wrong socks even though it's covered with long pants? No problem. Detention. Even during learning time we get forced to change or put in detention. Horrible.

Children from this school are extremely misbehaved. Have them in uniform constantly come into my work and steal and treat staff horribly. Never knew throwing money at people serving you was acceptable in any culture let alone from a school

It had its ups and downs, I think the teacher's need more awareness of disabilities and personal issues a student may go through, as I felt students acted up because the teacher's gave them attention, thus causing more behavioural issues.
