I would give this place 5 stars but there are some things that brought my rating to 4 stars. 1. The venue was great. Love the concept. However, it cost $56.06 ($22.50ea seat + $6.76 booking fee + $4.30 tax) for my husband and I to see a movie that was released in 1980 and we could've watched on TV for free. I feel the price is a bit steep for a classic movie. Alamo Draft house only charges $10 for classic movies and you are not sitting out in the heat. Although the price we paid included a bag of popcorn that is free refills all night. Still not worth the $28.03 per person. 2. The food pricing is outrageous. For a pretzel with cheese, brisket nachos, a bottle of Diet Dr pepper and 2 beers the price was near $60. I realize that the hotel is the one running the food and driving the cost for the venue but $6 for a diet DP is outrageous. The pretzel was so dry that I could not eat parts of it due to it being so hard. Thank goodness for the nacho cheese to help choke down the parts that could be salvaged. The brisket nachos were delicious. 3. The rooftop needs to have fans or fans with a misting system. You can rent a personal fan that comes with a bottle of water for misting for additional $5 but you have to leave your ID. We opted not to rent. I realize it's August in Texas and this is our hottest month. But the air was stagnant which made it hard to breath and we were so hot that if we had not paid what we already paid we would've left. All in all we had a good time with our group of people, other than dripping with sweat. Would we do it again? Possibly, but in the cooler months and if the prices were not so steep..
Update: the company offered our group a credit towards a future movie or a transfer to the date when the event is actually happening. When I informed them that our group is not local and unable to attend they referred me to their company policy that they don’t issue refunds. I informed them I agree with their refund policy if it was customer error but this was an issue caused by their organization and their employee told us we would receive a refund. I would give less stars if I could. My friends and I saw a movie on 12/8/23 and paid double the normal ticket rate for a “Christmas experience” that was suppose to include Santa, cookies and a few other items in addition to the movie. When we got there the manager told us she didn’t know what that ticket price and experience was. That it was a glitch in the system that happened to our group and one other group. She gave us an email address and told us to email customer service (who was aware of the issue) and we would get a refund for the over priced ticket. And then she checked us in. On 12/11 we emailed customer service as told to do and customer service has told us they don’t do partial refunds regardless of the situation and since the manager checked us in there is nothing they will do. So we have to pay double what every other participate paid to have the same experience they did. Unacceptable. We will never return.
What a great experience all around! I went to the Tuesday Y2K showing, which I thought was a “wooftop” day, where I could bring my dog, but I got the days wrong. The Rooftop Cinema Club’s staff members were very nice and understanding and told me to make sure I only bring my dog on the appropriate dog days. Thankfully, they let me and my dog watch the movie that day, and I was very grateful. The roof top views along with the throwback movie was fun. There were clear instructions for parking in the email sent with my ticket which REALLY helped. It outlined the price of $10 for validated garage parking with the Renaissance Hotel (where the movies are shown). It was a little tricky finding the parking garage but not terribly hard. Once I found it, there were two parking attendants with clearly marked Renaissance Hotel t-shirts, that helped me get my parking ticket, told me where to park, and gave me directions to get to the Cinema Club from the elevator upstairs. There were also lots of signs to make sure I got the right place. Overall it was a great experience, and I felt safe in the downtown area. I’d highly recommend to any movie lover that wants to have a new experience!
Magical night! Very well done and clean!!! Beautiful views, walk up for great food, great drinks and snacks 2 styles of chairs for viewing. Other seating and game’s available. No one interrupts you and you can not hear others talking! I was so pleased to bring friends to this classy place! Parking and bathrooms are available at hotel. Very clean and nice! You can hear movie on headphones all the way into the bathroom Honestly, I wish I came up with this very cute date night experience! Perfect for party or shower event too! Very clean and nice! Lots of fun movies for your viewing pleasure. Daytime availability will continue as the heat turns to Fall weather. Games, tables, and various seating Food is a little pricey but very well done! More like appetizers or small bites. Some Candy water and drinks include sodas, water and energy drinks- alcohol is available in a cute location called SIP POPCORN is bottomless and good!!! Available with some bench tickets or for sale. Expect to see some great upcoming movies for Halloween and Christmas!!!!!! Very Instagramable! Beautiful areas for fun pics!
This was an AMAZING experience!!! The movie that was showing is my absolute favorite movie of all time (Love Jones). The chairs were comfortable. Seating was not crowded. A small cocktail table is provided in between the chairs for your snacks/drinks. The STAFF WAS VERY FRIENDLY AND INFORMATIVE of what to expect and what was available to purchase. The layout was easy to navigate around for everything. A lot of photo opportunities!!! I will definitely revisit!!! My only “thumbs down” was that there is not signage to direct you to the rooftop from a street view. I circled the building 3x and didn’t realize I passed it that many times until I saw the attendant of the parking garage on the sidewalk and pulled over to ask for directions and was literally already there … lol (Plano resident - not familiar with Ft. Worth) I love the fact that the movie selections are an “oldie but a goodie”! Prices are reasonable! I will definitely be back … now that I know where I’m going … lol
This is a fantastic idea and it’s super cute! It would have been a 5 star experience if there had been shade over the seating area for when it’s hot. There is Zero shade and it’s full sun exposure and Really hot! The triangular shades that they have over the lounge area would be perfect because it would still allow the breeze from being on the rooftop. Kids aren’t allowed at night, so this isn’t going to work for families during the summer, which is disappointing bc my 5 year old LOVED it! The pretzel was probably the best pretzel I’ve ever had, and the fruit and cheese board was decent. A little pricey for what you get at $18, but still good. The drink selection looked good, but we just had water bc of the heat. Overall, it’s a super cute concept and we will be returning!
Brought my husband here for his birthday. This was our first time. Concessions were what you’d expect at a theater, which was totally fine. We didn’t get any food on the menu or alcoholic drinks. The earphone sound quality was very good, never had any issues. The parts that cover the ears were actually kind of uncomfortable and I had to give myself quick little breaks from them during the movie. I could still hear city noise, but oh well, it’s downtown. The Adirondack chairs could have more cushion to them. The chairs were facing the sun, so I was a little worried we’d be looking at the sun next to the screen, but by the time 8pm came, the sun had set enough that it wasn’t a bother at all. I know we both had a pretty nice time and we’ll be back.
Rooftop vibe 5 stars Staff at cinema 5 stars Movie and sound 5 stars Food and adult beverages 2 stars (Minimum selections, Shouldn't have to walk to hotel lobby for wine) Hotel bar/lobby vibe was excellent 5 stars Here is the nightmare. Trying to leave parking garage. The validation machine wasn't working the print on stickers was too light. And the machine wouldn't except credit cards. The face of machine was broken and appeared unlocked. Took 45 mins to leave after a great date night... Totally ruined our vibe. Had to repark and walk all way around the Hotel to lobby to get new validation where the staff were not very accommodating and seemed annoyed with helping resolve situation.
What a great Concept. Parking was easy to find, the door up was a little hidden as you could not enter through the hotel, but once you actually read the directions it was easy to find. Once upstairs we found food and drinks and lots of lounging chairs and couches with games to play while waiting for the movie to start. I have to say they had my wife at margaritas on tap and then when they said they had old fashions on tap, I thought to myself I would never go to another movie anywhere else. We reserved a love seat and it was comfortable and had a great View. You do wear headphones for sound, but they were good quality and fit nicely. Overall, I recommend this for any age group!
This was a cool experience. Rooftop movie we watched Grease my childhood favorite. Screen quality was great , seating was not so great but it wasn’t horrible. The lounge area had games on tables, ping pong table , bar, small food it was great.. we played ping ping mostly lol . Drink selection was ok food was just ok the pretzels looked amazing . All in all not a bad experience. I personally do not like head phones and that’s what we needed to hear. That made it difficult to chit chat with your partner and got hot and sweaty so I had to remove mine leaving me unable to enjoy the movie till I put them back on . I would definitely do this again in the cooler seasons .
We had a great time watching Superbad here the other night. Good signage throughout the lobby guiding you to the rooftop terrace. We arrived early to grab some drink and order a couple plates. They had a smaller but still solid beer selection, a couple premixed cocktails on tap, and a solid food menu. We split the nachos and the meat and cheese board which was a surprising amount of food. The chair were super comfortable and picture quality was better than expected too. My only complaint is the headphones which at about an hour in start to become uncomfortable. Smaller speakers at every other seat might be a better option.
I absolutely love this rooftop cinema. You can buy a ticket that includes popcorn but they have other delicious food (charcuterie, Mexican corn, etc) and a bar that serves adult beverages. The view of the courthouse is spectacular. They have old school games set out on the tables. It is just really cute! A great place to hang out with friends whether you're watching a movie or not. They give you headphones that let you hear the audio. The lawn furniture chairs are comfy and if you get there early enough you can get the perfect seats.
Love the rooftop cinema. Me and my husband visited last winter and we had such a good time we had to go back this summer. We went to the 10:30pm show and there was enough light to get pictures before the screening. The rooftop has a lot of seating before the screening as well as cute photo opps. The food they serve is really good but the beers and other drinks are super pricey. Just something to think about. Headphones work well and are comfortable, seats are comfortable (we got the love seats). Staff are friendly!
So much fun!! The weather is perfect right now! Get up here to the Rooftop Cinema at the Worthington , downtown Ft Worth! The food is great.! They have pulled pork nachos, pulled pork sliders, beef hot dogs with elote (Mexican corn), and more. And of course they have popcorn and movie candy ,as well as sodas bottles water and alcoholic beverages! Plenty of tables to sit and hang out. There's also ping pong and table games and giant Jenga!!!! Bring all your friends! There's so much to do!!!!
The whole experience was great! We pulled into the Worthington Renaissance valet to figure out how to park and the attendant gave us very clear directions to the self parking garage right underneath the Rooftop Cinema. This self parking garage had attendants to help if needed and we had John as an attendant that we met! He gave us recommendations on where to have dinner and was extremely friendly and helpful. Would 10/10 park here again and do this experience because of people like John!
Overall it was great! The night we went the weather was perfect. The games were fun, the screen, & headphones were good. I would would love to something for my feet to prop up on, but that's personal preference. I will say the concession prices are just as outrageous as a regular theater - I paid $5.14 for a regular bottle of water. I'm sure all the up charges are mainly for the experience. But like I said, it was a fun experience! I'll definitely go again!
I love the concept of watching movies on a rooftop and I was so happy when they announced their arrival. I was on their waitlist and visited the first week of opening. They have a great setup and the quality of the equipment is great. The food here is on the expensive side but luckily we had velvet taco right before. We watched some movie that I didn’t understand but we still had an amazing time.
Definitely will do this again. My girlfriends and I attending the screening of waiting to exhale and it was just as good as it was 1995. Angela, Whitney, Loretta and Lela, Kenya kept me engaged and small bites and drinks were great! Of course I took photos, I'll be back to upload those later... If you haven't been to the Rooftop Cinema Club you are missing out! What a cute experience..
Checked this place out with my girlfriend one evening and had such a good time. Cutest little set up with the vendors and games and seating area. Only complaints would be, in Texas we need some fans out there for circulation! And the bar was out or low on everything. My one drink was def less than a 1oz pour with no backup bottles or mixers. Could of just been an off night!
A novel movie-going experience. They've done a great job with the design of this place and there are plenty of options for food and drinks. The movie watching itself is good, the headphones allow you to dial in the perfect volume level (although you will hear the courthouse clock chime on the hour). Make sure you are weather aware, you may need a coat/blanket.
Had a great experience!!! Saw True Romance, written by Quentin Tarantino and directed by Tony Scott. Excellent film! We were lucky to go on a night when there was a cool breeze blowing. Felt amazing. Had a tasty margarita…a little pricey at $12 but I know the experience was included. Enjoyed the downtown views. Will definitely be back …
We went to see Pitch Perfect last night and it was the best movie to see there. I think the pricing is a bit high since you are seeing an older movie but we loved the experience. There were great drinks and food and honestly I think I heard more of the movie with th headphones. It was nice to be outside and get to enjoy. I will def be back.
We absolutely loved the ROOFTOP CINEMA and everything about it!!! The concept and vibe was so cool! We had popcorn and the Nacho libre -it was good!! Only thing was that it was Hot ... but honestly what could we expect for Texas summer. I would do it again for sure!! I would def dress cooler like tank top, shorts and ponytail. <3
Nothing like a glass of wine and a rooftop movie in a cool, relaxing vibe to end my weekend. Perfect summer night. Everything from parking, to box office check in, to pre-movie activities, to the movie experience itself was a great! Every staff member was genuinely caring for guests. Looking forward to visiting again!
Had a blast coming here. Surprised my wife and watched a good movie. Setting was perfect! Really like this concept and drinks and food available. Only thing I'd suggest is get individual seats instead of together the individual ones seem to be more comfortable. Maybe if they had better cushions it wouldn't be as bad.
Had a movie night out with my Sissy. Movie: White Chicks (2004). Rooftop Cinema/Ft. Worth is really nice. The staff was friendly and helpful. It was nice to watch a movie in the out of doors on a warm summer night. The food was ok and about the same cost as an indoor theater. I will definitely go again.
Absolutely love this place! Adorable spot with multiple photo opps, nice view, amazing vibe! We had not one but TWO orders of nachos - they were so good! Drinks from the Rooftop bar were very good. We arrived early to pick our seats and enjoy the space a bit. I will definitely go back! Bring a blanket.
This was such an amazing experience. Although it rained that day, it was very clean and there was minimal water on the furniture. They had a variety of games to play to keep you entertained before the screening. The seats were well spaced and comfortable. It was a wonderful first time experience!
Loved almost everything about it. Perfect date idea. Service was great, food is minimal but wat they had was really good. More drink options would be nice for a hot summer needed a cup of ice, not just ice water. Perfect for your Social Media Aesthetics. Will definitely come back!!
Pricey food but nice place, not a great place to visit with temps above 80 though as you're boiling. I'd highly recommend visiting but definitely take a portable fan or mister to stay cool. Also, they have great photo ops as well so it's great for a girls night out on the town!
Very cool experience! Get there early to get a good seat and snacks/drinks. Come prepared if cold weather is predicted! There's a bit of a breeze on the roof. It was very cold and wish they hot drink options. The screen is clear and the headphones provided great sound quality.
An incredible afternoon at the rooftop cinema! The combination of city views, sunshine, and cinematic charm made it a memorable experience. Sharing the moment with a friend added an extra layer of joy. Highly recommend for a unique and delightful movie outing. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
My family and I had a good time! We arrived just in time to pick up our headphones and pick our seats. The food was good and I loved watching the sunset as the movie played. Afterwards it was so comfortable and convenient to play games in the lawn. Can’t wait to go back!
Loved the experience and would definitely recommend. A bit pricey but the ticket includes popcorn. Arrive early to choose your seats. Parking is validated if you park in the hotel parking lot. I recommend eating beforehand, especially if your diet does not include pork.
Super cute!! It reminds you of being at those outdoor movie screens at a park when your a kid but way way nicer! Love the variety of movies they play. The only feedback I would give is the candy variety and maybe more vegetarian/vegan options for those with allergens!
The atmosphere was pretty nice. Using headsets so people can hear the movie clearly is great. The concession prices are outrageous even when compared to regular movie theater concession prices. $5 for a bottle of water!! $15 for a pretzel that wasn't even good.
Our Rooftop Cinema experience was great! Cool idea, atmosphere, and location was amazing. Only bad thing is they need to figure out how to bring in More movies to this location and maybe a larger sun blocking screen to enjoy the whole Rooftop before the movie.
We’ll be back for a wooftop event. If my dog can come, I’m there. Great venue. Our show was cancelled for rain and lightning but I’m still glad we went. The short amount of time we were there was worth it. Wooftop events will be the way to get me to come back.
This is a great way to watch some of your favorite movies!! Staff is great. Had an absolutely amazing night. The pop up stores that were there was also fun. We were able to eat, have a few cocktails and shop all before the movie began. Highly recommend!!
It was an amazing experience. Our first time here, and it was so worth it. The headphones had great volume control, and the seats were comfortable. We didn't order food, but we did get the popcorn. They also had ice cold water for us, which was nice.
Loved it! Great chill patio vibes, space to hang out before or after the movie and suitable for a solo, date or group outing! I went solo to a screening of Grease and sat next to a fun group celebrating a birthday. We all sang along and had a blast
A fun and unique experience. $19.50 per person per seat (unless you get a loveseat for $26.50 popcorn included)). So it's more expensive than a typical theater, but at most theaters you're not sitting on a roof in downtown watching classic
Incredibly stylish and fun setting. Staff are universally friendly and cheerful. The screen is clear; headphones are new and clean. Great popcorn! Worthington concessions (mini pork sliders etc) are so-so; the meat and cheese platter is
I came on a Sunday night to see 10 things I hate about you and had a good time! The staff is super nice, ready for popcorn and headphones when you walk up. The nachos I got were really good, and I had a cider as well. Be mindful of the
Great experience! Great for a date night, family night, or family/friend get together. Food vendor was good, snacks were available, and alcohol drinks (beer, spritzers, whiskeys). If you want a fun but chilled night, this is the place!
Fantastic experience! The roof top views were amazing and the screen/sound was perfect. They have food and drinks (a bit pricey) but lots of hanging out area and games! Totally looking to go back and making a night out of it.
Great place to take my daughter for her 14th birthday we saw Mama Mia Here We Go Again Update. Took my parents from out of town and my 2 sons and their dates. We all enjoyed ourselves. We got to see Mama Mia. So fun
A beautiful scenery, only thing i dislike was the heat which they had no control over. I can’t wait to go back. I will have a full video of my rooftop experience on my TikTok page posted by 8/5 passionback_bycourt.
Roof top Movie Experience made our Anniversary Weekend Celebration memorable! Loved the charm and vibe of the entire place. The perfect mix of Drive-in Theather and Movie Taven perks. Highly recommend!
Beautiful. Beautiful. Beautiful. But the tickets and watch a flick! Prices are a bit steep but you’re paying for the beautiful experience! Cashless operation for vendors. Easy process when you arrive.
Highly recommend this venue, perfect for date night, GNO or family time. The staff are on IT, stellar customer service and beautiful ambience!! I would give 10 ⭐️ if it would let me!! A must go!!
This was a fun experience with a friend. The staff was a little late in opening but otherwise everything was quick and staff were friendly. I definitely want to go again with more friends.
Fun experience. We attended on an extremely hot night. Maybe fans would be nice. Misters? Consider a means of putting legs and feet up. Anyway...fun and will go again! Helpful staff, too.
Super cool experience. I went on a Tuesday night when the temps weren't blazing, so it was a pleasant and comfortable atmosphere for an outdoor movie on a rooftop. I will go again.
Nice atmosphere. Everyone has their own personal headset to wear, good quality too. The ‘rooftop’ is actually just 2 stories up, but it’s still nice to be amongst the buildings.
Wonderful and unique experience. The set up was picture perfect and the staff was friendly and helpful. It was the perfect mother/daughter movie date watching A Star is Born
I brought my wife here to see her favorite Christmas movie, and it was perfect and cozy. Looks like more of her favorites are coming soon, so we'll be back!
Wonderful for an evening out. Get there early to enjoy snacks, drinks and games before catching the movie. Great, friendly service. Can’t wait to go again.
Fun date night! The setting is ideal and the seats are comfortable. There food and drink menu is limited, but that’s to be expected based on the layout.
Such a fun experience! Come earlier so you can enjoy the place before your movie starts! It’s such a vibe! Perfect for a date night or a family night!
Very successful first date! She couldn't stop smiling! We enjoyed every bit of it. The nice breeze every now and then was a plus too 6/5!!! …
My first time visiting the Rooftop Cinema and what a wonderful experience! We had so much fun. I will definitely be returning.
Nice theater on the rooftop. They play mostly past films but I had never seen most of the ones playing. Awesome experience!!!
I loved the atmosphere, music Even staff was friendly. Only thing food wasn't great and food menu needs more options
It was my first time there and it was wonderful! It's so pretty and seats are comfortable! Will come again :)
The rooftop cinema was so fun. The atmosphere was so fun to watch an old movie! Highly recommend!!
What a fantastic way to experience an outdoor movie in the great city of Fort Worth! Loved it!
