I booked "Rendezvous for Two" for Monday, October 17th. My wife and I have an 8 month old son (our first). I booked the day off work, and we arranged for someone to watch our son for the afternoon. The day before our appointment, someone called to confirm our appointment. The morning of our appointment (2 hours before), we were called to say the suite's steam room was broken and a part was not available to fix it. We were not about to cancel on 2 hours notice given the arrangements we made. The person calling also said we could use the steam room on the main floor that was "just like the other one, just not in the suite". We arrived for our appointment on time and received a nice greeting. My wife and I were led to the "Women's Locker Room" for both of us to change. There was one chair, and no lock on the door. I was surprised to be led to the "women's locker" and worried someone would walk in and react the way someone would expect seeing a naked man in the women's locker room. After changing and being briefly seated, we were led to the "alternate" steam room. This was completely unacceptable - and clearly meant for one person, again with a single seat, and no room for another person. I politely asked if we could perhaps receive a manicure or pedicure during this time as the steam room was inadequate (and not at all as described) if staff was available, I would understand if they had other appointments after all. We were offered 80 min massages instead, which we accepted. During our treatment there was a period where two loudly talking/laughing women could be heard. I don't know where they were or what they were doing, but it certainly detracted from the ambience. I will say the RMTs were polite, and provided good treatment. After the treatment was done, we received champagne and a slab of "red pepper berry chocolate". The website says truffles, a pricey delicacy. The slab seemed like a cheap cop-out, and again something else that was misrepresented. Before we left my wife poked her head in to see what the "Aroma Grotto" looked like...It was totally ripped apart with all kinds of tools and equipment in there. . A renovation was not completed, and an appointment was booked, and confirmed knowing this, and to top it off we were lied to about it. If it broke we would understand that things can happen, but after the awkward change room, the misrepresented "other" steam room, the noise, the truffles being switched out for cheap chocolate....we were both very mad at this point, and trying our best to stay positive about our day out together. When we paid, the girl said she was only going to charge us for the massages...which turned out to be a $10 discount, since she charged us the rate for 80 minute massages that were offered in lieu of the steam. We made a number of arrangements, and paid a notable premium to receive what we expected to be an experience that justified that premium. It wasn't even close. We have gone to a number of spas and massage therapists together in the GTA and Niagara and I confidently, and disappointingly say this was the poorest experience to date. I also didn't even receive the courtesy of a response when I voiced my concerns privately through their website.

I reserved a couples massage (Rendezvous Pkg) for my wife's birthday. We have been to a few spas and we weren't totally happy with our afternoon at Rosewater. This review is hopefully to better things for the spa. It started by us being led to a small room to disrobe. It was in a common small locker area were we hurried in case someone else walked in. If we were suppose to be in private, we weren't told of it. We then had to walk through he spa and down the basement to our massage/steam room which was a large room. I'm not sure why we couldn't disrobe there privately as there was plenty of room there. My masseuse spoke to me about how firm I wanted my massage and she was not very firm in the end. I didn't say anything because I knew already that she was giving her all during the session. For my wife, her masseuse literally blamed the other masseuse for starting the session before he could introduce himself to my wife and discuss firmness for her massage. They were somewhat noisy moving around the table during the session. I felt the heated towel were "slapped" on me near the end. My wife's masseuse kept clearing his throat. The massage was relaxing but wasn't comparable to previous times at other places, same goes for my wife's experience. After the massage, there was confusion where we were asked to go to another room for a pedicure which was not included in the package. 3 staff members says its in my pkg but I corrected them since I didn't reserve for it plus we had dinner reservations after. I chose Rosewater because it was advertised as an elegant spa. At $300+ for a couples massage with sparkling wine and truffles, it wasn't what we were expecting and isn't up to par with how its described on their website. The place needed some touch ups (Some pot lights were out of its socket in the basement. A light scone behind the welcome counter in the basement was tilted and looked like it was about to fall off.). Again, the massage was relaxing and all the staff were friendly. It just wasn't worth the money.

I honestly hate writing bad reviews but I had a really disappointing experience at rosewater spa. I booked with my mom and sister for an early mother’s day outing and we all got the ‘rosewater wrap and nap’ it was my first time at this spa although I’ve been to many others and I noticed a few things were off. After speaking with my mom and sister it was clear that the service I received from my esthetician was not consistent with what they received. Overall I felt as if my esthetician seemed rushed and was a little all over the place. Between the treatments I could hear her opening and closing the cupboards and opening and closing containers and the tap running and basins banging for pretty much the entire time which really effected the ambience and my ability to relax. I also felt she wasn’t as attentive as she knocked out and lost my nose stud during the facial and didn’t notice. My mom and sister also had Vichy showers and got scalp massages with oil but mine was without and I also wasn’t offered or even directed towards the water before or after my treatment which my mom and sister both were. I understand each esthetician does things a little differently but still feel there should be a level of consistency. I also didn’t like how the scrub was applied to each limb and then immediately wiped off it felt super rushed and the esthetician was running back and forth for towels which was distracting. My sister told me her esthetician allowed the scrub to sit so the product could penetrate and she would get the benefit from it. I feel like these little things are what really make for a relaxing and luxurious experience and for me they were missing. I definitely did not get what I paid for. I’m glad my mom and sister had a better experience but due to the inconsistencies I wouldn’t recommend this place as there are many better options in the area.

This is a long overdue review. I came for a massage with two friends, the front desk receptionist was quite unprofessional. No greeting to the 3 of us as we entered. Another employee looked at us as we walked in as if we were lost, no greeting, or hello, welcome, nothing, just a stare. It’s simply what I noticed right from the get go, unprofessional. The cleaning lady who was there greeted us warmly which was nice. Any spa I’ve ever been to, there is a warm welcome, or a welcome at the very least upon entry. At the end of our time there when our services were done and it was time to pay our bill, the middle aged receptionist felt the need to mention the subtotal of the service we had that day and very clearly indicate ‘you need to pay for tip as well’. I always tip, I tip for good service, and I tip for medicore service. I don’t need to be told to tip by a rude receptionist. I really do believe this spa needs to make improvements. Start with your ignorant receptionist who is the first face that your GUESTS see upon arrival. ‘Hello’, ‘good morning’ and ‘welcome’ go a long way. Train your silly staff to not feel the need to mention tipping when it comes time for customers to pay their bill, It’s embarrassing, ignorant, and a rather tacky tactic to make for a ‘spa’ situated in downtown Oakville. I left that day thinking ‘why did my friend recommend this place to me?!’ I mentioned my spa experience to those who asked how it was. Negative experience, and would not return.

We had a girls day back in December. Total there was 4 of us. From the minute we got there to the moment we left it was awful. And the worst thing about it is that my mother and I saved our pennies to take my sisters for a 40th birthday celebration and we spent over $1200. 1) I received a facial and no massage was given, she kept leaving when I was on mask and then she finished it off by putting make-up on my face to promote their Jane Iredale line. I thought it was joke until I took a kleenex after she left and wiped my face. 2) My sister had a male massage therapist. She should not have felt uncomfortable because this is his profession, yet she was so uncomfortable at one point his shirt was pulled up and his stomach was rubbing up against her. 3) For every service we got, we had to put our clothes back on, then take-off, back on and then take-off. It wasn't comfortable. 4) The receptionist had a very poor attitude... I tipped all the girls and then my sister had to pay for her massage because she was putting it through benefits, I told my sister to not worry about the tip and I covered it. The receptionist raised her voice and told me that my sister needs to tip him because my tip didn't cover him. Well no, first he was an RMT so no tip is required and secondly, my tip did cover him like I said. But we felt so awkward cause of her poor attitude that he got double tipped. SOOOO disappointing, over priced, poor customer service. NEVER returning.

I was gifted a spa package & had the pleasure of visiting this past week. I altered the package slightly, which was kind of them to allow me to. I had an 80 minute hot stone massage, Vichy sea salt body scrub, customized facial & pedicure. I have been lucky enough to have visited a number of spas over the years & I can say this was one of the best experiences I’ve ever had. Sandra was my therapist for the hot stone massage, she applied the right amount of pressure, asked how everything was & overall was lovely. Renata was my therapist for the other 3 services & she was fantastic. I generally have never had a good experience with any facial I have ever received, either the therapists are inexperienced, pushing the spa’s products, have never loved it. This facial changed how I feel about them, it was beyond amazing, skin felt great, was as relaxing as the massage. I cannot wait to go back to experience it again. Thank you all at Rosewater for a lovely experience, I look forward to going again in the future.

I had the micro needling facial and this was the second facial I have had at this spa. I have also had the hydrafacial. The facials were fine, but nothing I would go back for. The micro needling facial had zero “pampering” involved. They put a numbing cream, leave you for 30 minutes, do the procedure, put a mask and leave you for another 15. When I have gone for facials at other establishments, when they apply a mask or something that needs to sit, I have been offered foot massage, upper body massage, etc. This is not the case here and you are just left in the room while the esthetician leaves. I don’t see any reason why some sort of treatment can’t be offered during this time, especially for the cost of the treatment, and it seems as if they just do the bare minimum, nothing to make the experience more enjoyable. It is a spa after all and both of the facials I had fell far below expectations. It is too bad because the place itself is nice inside.

Anyone who rates this 3 to 5 stars is outright lying or never been to a real spa! They charge premium $$$ for a sub par facility and services. Typical of Oakville. They must really not care about the long term success of their spa. We came with a group. It is poorly kept, one bathroom/changing room for men and women and the door wouldnt close! The facility looks like it hasn't been redone since the 80s. No robes or anything that is provided. It is bare essentials. Two women were pregnant in the group, they had one pregnancy pillow for the massage which meant the other person was totally uncomfortable for the whole thing. You would think a spa in downtown Oakville would be nice and give a damn! Clearly not. They must be waiting for their lease to expire or be waiting for the building to be bought so condos can be developed. Completely avoid! See some of the other reviews!

Set up an appointment on a Wednesday for the upcoming Saturday to have two full face makeup applications done. It was supposed to be a gift for my friends birthday. I received a phone call Saturday morning saying they had to cancel the appointment due to a staff calling in (which is understandable) Other then an apology they didn’t offer any alternatives. Later that afternoon I got a voicemail saying that they worked something out so I could come in. I quickly called back to confirm but no one answered so I left a voicemail. An hour later I called back to confirm they got my message. They had not and gave my appointment away. The excuse being she didn’t look at the voicemail..... The lack of customer care I received was awful. Unfortunately I have a gift certificate to this spa that will be going to waste.

Terrible Spa - Took me to a dark, dated, dirty room in the basement beside a staff kitchen. The whole time during the $160.00 80 minute massage there was staff laughing, using the microwave, walking with heels on the tiled kitchen floor, smashing pans together. The room I was in was dirty. Walls had stains on them, stains on the carpet. The covering for the face part of the massage table had make-up stains on it that they tried to cover up by putting a tissue over it. Even in the waiting area (which doubles as a manicure area - ?) staff were going by with garbage/boxes to a back door located in that same area and walking out with their waste while simultaneously letting cold winter air inside. I would never come back.

Made an appointment over a month and a half ago to go with my mom for a pre wedding girls day. Got a call at 8 am that they had someone call out from staff and couldn’t complete all of the services (understandable) but the way they handled it was not so understandable, didn’t offer a different time, didn’t try to figure something out for me given that I was easily spending $1000 + between the two of us or that it was FOR MY WEDDING in a couple days. I called back to cancel the entire appointment because I feel they didn’t do anything to try to correct the situation or make it happen at some point before the upcoming day. I have never left anyone a bad review ever I just feel the customer service was lacking.

Today i was at the spa with my best friend for a girls spa day. My first time being here. I can't say enough wonderful things about this beautiful establishment, extremely clean, the staff is amazing, not just with making you feel so at ease and relaxed but also on how skill-full they are at their job. I had the greatest privilege to have Liz for my wonderful full body massage, and Maria for my facial and Mani/pedicure. Ladies if you read this , i thank you so much , you both were amazing and you are so skilled at what you do that i call you both artists. Wishing you all continuous success, and keep up with the wonderful work. Franca G.

I treated myself to the Rosewater Wrap and Nap and it was absolutely amazing. Renata took awesome care of me and provided a service that was absolutely 5 star. Of special note was the face massage she provided during the facial that left me feeling absolute bliss. Could not recommend this service and this spa enough. Location was clean and quiet, so relaxing - it felt like a true escape. Looking forward to booking another service there in the future. Sign up for their last minute club too to get amazing last minute appointments for a discount - another amazing benefit. Highly recommend!

  • Wendy

I would like to tell you how excited I was to hear about this wonderful service you provide for women with cancer going through chemo. Unfortunately when I called to make an appointment I didn't feel welcome. I felt like the receptionist was treating me like I was looking for a freebie or charity. Questioning how I heard about it, and commenting on how she has never heard of someone without a credit card. It is difficult enough to have cancer and all that goes along with it that I don't need to be made to feel less than. And I will be telling everyone I know how your spa treated me.

  • Rosy Kumar

Definitely NOT a spa... More of a massage clinic with a standing shower steam room. There is a very very small area in the back where a lady also does manicures an inch away from the seats with a fireplace to sit after or before your massage. This doesn't really fit the description of an actual "spa". The deep tissue was also subpar.. felt like simple touches for 50 minutes. The massage lady was very polite and her customer service was great but other than that, this is a very average massage clinic.

  • Victoria D'Auria

I got a signature pedicure and manicure here and was just generally disappointed with the experience. It wasn't bad, it just wasn't good either. Even the atmosphere of the spa didn't align with the reputation of the place, it was very small and cramped, not relaxing. I've gotten better manis and pedis from cheaper, less reputable, spas. My usual go-to was Dove Spa which closed so I'm trying to find a replacement and this one definitely won't be it.

  • Emily Langton

While the staff are pleasant and atmosphere soothing, my $40 manicure was NOT worth the money. My polish cracked after the first day. Not to mention, the top coat was not applied to the entire nail, so there’s faint lines around the areas without it - clearly discolouring parts of the nail. I’m shocked that a place of such luxury did such a poor job. Better luck going somewhere else next time.

  • LUZ ORTIZ

Rosewater Spa puted the roses back in my cheeks and skin. Thank you so much for these lovely program and this amazing treatment I received. "Rosewater Wrap & Nap" was a wonderful way to restore the softnes of my skin and is also totally relaxing. The Mini-facial and scalp treatment, was the best complement to feel me like new. Thank you for the attetions to all friendly staff.

  • Melanie Sinclair

Last November I had the blueberry body treatment and it was lovely. I booked again recently to try the Seaweed body treatment and it was even better. My skin felt awesome after both. The technicians were both very good. If you want to treat yourself, I highly recommend the Rosewater Spa. They use Eminence products, which I am a huge fan of. Great for aging skin.

  • Vikki Armour.Fuller

I was so thrilled to see the new renovations, and I've booked my favourite treatment "wrap and nap" for Saturday before the pedi. Love the new candles, feels so tranquil and warm. I love the cashmere scarves...hint hint . They have a secret santa registry for "hints" for my hubby....to go with the gift certificate!!! Love Rosewater Spa.

  • Zaineb Al Hakem

The best spa ever. If you really want to treat yourself and feel like a princess with an amazing massage(I did 50 mins and felt much much better) and a mini facial which was relaxing and cleansing my skin. I’d recommend this place to any lady who want to enjoy and experience the real meaning of spa. Thanks to all who works in that spa

  • john wood

We went for a couples day to celebrate my wife's birthday. Steam room couples massage pedi and manicure, champagne and chocolates as well as a spa lunch. All staff went above and beyond to cater to our wishes. The facility clean professional and warm Privacy and respect at all times this is a 5 star gem that needs to be experienced.

  • Ajla Bajrektarevic Celic

I had an amazing experience with Liz today for my massage. The overall experience was extremely relaxing as she carefully listened to my needs and concerns, did the perfect pressure on my back with check-ins to ensure I was satisfied, and the transition from one part of the massage to the next was flawless. 5 stars all the way!

  • Slava Boruk

Great place. Got a couples massage and both were a pleasant experience. However, found out they charge $40 extra for couples massage for their "VIP" room. I can't say that the extra $40 is worth it, seems like a money grab. Just glad we werent charged for the lemon water. Otherwise, everything else is smooth sailing.

  • Camila Cabello

I took my mom for the first time today and she absolutely loved it. Amazing place, she had a great time. My mom had Susanne as the massage therapist, she was amazing, she left my mom feeling like she got a new body. We really recommend this spa, very clean and friendly. We will definitely keep going back there!

  • katherine Giles

I just got a pedicure from Léa and it was wonderful. She was very attentive and made sure I had everything I needed before she began. The leg and foot scrub was amazing but my favorite part was the massage. My polish looks great and festive. I would highly recommend this spa to any of my friends or family.

  • Marg

My favourite RMT is Suzanne here. All the staff are courteous and I have never had a problem with any of the products anyone has used here. Very high quality service and products. Love the Large spa, parking right next to it Lovely service and tea During the facial there is no product pushing

  • Meredith Squires

I’ve been coming to Rosewater Spa for 20-years now. And there’s a very good reason for that. Liz and her team are amazing. Especially Sandra Mina, massage therapist extraordinaire. I’ve had hundreds of massages at several high-end spas, and nothing compares to those with Sandra.

  • Tim Kendall

I’m sure for some it’s great but for me both times have been a bad experience . I have a regular RMT who unfortunately moved to Ottawa and her very professional approach set the bar very high . When I get a massage I want to relax not debate . Would not recommend this place .

  • Megan Headley

Very expensive and I will never go back. I paid $60 for full leg wax and the esthetician went over the same place on my leg twice and ripped skin right off. I couldn't continue and left before she hurt me more. I couldn't believe it! I still have a scar after 2 years!

  • Chantel Whitter

Rosewater is such a fantastic spa! I have been a few times and each time is amazing. Whether you’re getting a facial, massage or pedicure, it’s all such a wonderful experience. I highly recommend the body wraps. They have a Vichy shower that feels incredible!

  • Erica Perry

I didn't love my facial. The woman giving me my facial did not have very fresh breath which really took away from the relaxing experience. Also, the spa itself could use a facelift. It is very cluttered and does not feel very clean or luxurious.

  • Christi-Ann Shalom Rasquinha Valladares

I was gifted a $500 certificate to this spa because my incredible bosses wanted to ensure I was relaxed and cozy before my wedding day. Because the location was 40+ minutes for me, I wanted to make one trip and do a complete spa day package

  • Aisha D

The staff and ambience are amazing and feels very much like a high-end spa. I did find the massage I received (or my mom received - we came here for her birthday) were not as deep as we usually like them - I asked three times for more

  • Andrey Tsirulnikov

It's a great SPA salon. We received a very good massage and a very good pedicure. We also had a lanch in our package, and the only thing I would recommend to improve is that the lunch should be served in the room instead of a holeway.

  • Barb Godfrey

A great pedicure with Renata today. I love the Rosewater. I’ve been coming for over 20 yrs. The staff are all so professional and the spa is comfy and cozy. It’s worth it for me to drive from Mississauga for a top notch experience.

  • ally bridges

Brought my mom for a luxury pedicure staff were super friendly and the pedicure was amazing. Place is very small and reception area is overcrowded and quite tight when there are a few people waiting, takes away from the spa feel.

  • Kasey Rogers

Susanne provided me with the best massage I have ever had. Her technique and strength left me feeling very comfortable and relaxed. The atmosphere was nice and all the other staff were pleasant. Can’t wait to go back again.

  • Ashleigh Dorrington-Yi

This is a really lovely spa in a convenient location. The staff are friendly, the facilities are always clean and the massages from Jackie are the perfect balance between relaxation and restoration. Highly recommend!

  • Sabina Nagpal

Excellent facial treatment but it would be nice to have more of a spa like feel especially at reception. Little things like showing the client the bathroom and offering water/tea go a long way to overall experience.

  • L McCarthy

This spa has the best subject matter experts for skin health! They know their products and are most helpful when offering advise on any skin related inquiries. Great for someone with rosacea and eczema.
