I understand understaffing. It happens a lot and even more lately. What I don't understand, the same with construction crews, is why there would be 4 visible employees working near/around the registers and only 2 registers open. The manager blamed corporate, and then finally admitted that the other person that was sorting merchandise at the front usually opens a 3rd register when the line gets long. The line was halfway down the store. 10 minutes later, it is all the way at the end of the store, which is when the third register was finally opened, all while one register had the same customer for 15 minutes to check out 2 pillows and a few other items. Is it corporate policy to spend 15 minutes on 1 customer and to not open a 3rd register until the line is backed up to the end of the store? The last time I was at this Ross I had a few items selected and when it came time to checkout, the line was halfway down the store, so I left without my selections once I saw the snails pace. This time, there was barely a line by the time I went to checkout, so I gave it a try and quickly remembered why I had avoided Ross for so long. It shouldn't require 30-45 minutes to checkout at a store. Period. It's unacceptable. This is supposed to be a first world country. As much as I appreciate some of the items one can find there and the prices, it's just not worth the time and aggravation of watching ineptitude and bad management, be it corporate or not. I might try again in a few years after I've forgotten how much time is wasted by trying to shop here. I do hope this Ross improves. There could be potential. It has somehow survived the pandemic, let's hope it can survive the stalemate of checkout and absence of basic customer service.

I went to Ross Dress For Less today, because I just needed some Retail Therapy, and today’s visit did the trick. There’s a certain type of perfume I fell in love with (spraying a tester at a different, more high-end store), and unfortunately it was a whopping $545! For a small bottle! So, I went to Ross to shop their more AFFORDABLE, name brand perfumes today and I was pleasantly surprised with their selection at a low cost. I was googling the reviews on how each perfume smells (since they’re all enclosed in individually locked plastic security boxes), and even the security/loss prevention smiled at me and recommended a few different perfumes that she likes and also sees people buy often. I appreciated her input, that was nice of her. There was no line at the time of check-out (9pm on a Sunday), which made me happy. The cashier (I wish I caught her name) was so nice and pleasant. We chatted a little bit about the perfumes she was scanning. She even gave me 20% off a perfume that was missing a cap (I told her I’d try & reuse one of my perfume caps at home for that one to hopefully spray), and she said she’ll go ahead and type on the receipt “missing piece”, so that if it doesn’t work out, I can always return the perfume spray I purchased without a cap, with no worries. That was so thoughtful and considerate of her to do that, I appreciate the kind cashier’s excellent customer service.

I was out and about last Wednesday morning on 4/5/23 and I took it upon myself to buy myself an Easter dress this year. I had set my budget for 40.00 and went to a couple of places and the selection was less to be desired, but I wasn't going to give up, so I remember a friend of mine tell me about going to Ross. So I went to the location on Commerce Center Drive in Jacksonville FL and I looked around and saw a light blue linen dress in my size but didn't have a price tag on it and I also wanted to find a navy blue shrug to go with it and I found one in my size(it took some looking for but I found it) I went back to where I was looking on the dress rack and I saw the same dress for 24.99. I was ready to pay for my purchases and took them to the cashier and I told her that the dress I wanted didn't have y price tag on it, so she sold it to me for 14.99. I work the dress and the shrug to our Easter presentation at our church and I got so many compliments on them. I'm glad I went to Ross and will go there again!

If I could give zero I would. DON'T shop here, the manager will call the cops on you. I was in the store on Halloween with elderly mother shopping ( who was here visiting from another state)and her hip was hurting so we head to the check out I paid for all of my items while my mom behind me pays for hers I told her I would go run and pull up to the store before, I could even get my over hundred dollars worth of purchase in the back seat of my car the police pull up behind me. And start investigating to see if I had stolen anything I DIDN'T steal anything and was released. BUT I WILL NOT BE RETURNING TO ANY ROSS EVER AGAIN. I gave no reason for them to call the police on me

My last couple of visits I was able to return items at the checkout line. I recall waiting in the return line seems like forever only to be told that the lines open could pretty much do both. So today I had a return the clerk tells me I had to return my items in the return line. It's so confusing unorganized then she says well they probably did a return if the return line wasn't open but its open. I just made my purchase and didnt even bother to get into return line. Very unprofessional can use proper training.

I usually love Ross and have spent thousands of dollars here. Great products and great prices. I bought a $10 belt this time. It broke the first time using it. I tried to do an even exchange for a new one. I didn't have the receipt but I was able to show with my banking app when I purchased it and where with the price. They still weren't willing to help me out. I've had this happen before at another Ross location and they took care of me with no issues. Pretty dissapointed with this location now.

Worst customer service. Manager gets mad when the line gets long and has to hop on a cash register to help. As other reviews have stated, she will ask you to take the clothes off the hangers. According to her, because Ross has low prices its what we customers do in return….. I didn’t realize it was my job to do it. Honestly, if she asked or said it nicely I wouldn’t of mind. She lost her marbles and does not need to work in customer service.

Worst customer service of any store I’ve ever been into. I understand having strict loss prevention but it’s 4 minutes to 10:30 when the fitting room opens and there is a line they will make 5 people stand although the store has been open beware the fitting rooms do not. They just want to take your money with not one care of any shape for form to customer service ! I didn’t purchase anything and won’t return !

It's a shame that everywhere now expects you to do their job! Now Ross wants you to take all the clothes off the hanger and neatly hang them up for them so they don't have to do it. Their shelves are empty the place is a wreck. Now us customers have to do the work for them. Then the lady there got an attitude saying it's the way of the world get with it. She should be fired since we're doing her job anyways

I haven't been to this store in a long time, I remembered why, after stading in line again today I like Ross but It seems as customer service is not important for some of this store. I feel sorry for the cashier. Long line and only one person on the register doing the work of Two or more. That yong lady was doing her best moving the line and apologizing for the inconvenience to the customers.

Ross has always been a place I can find unique odds and ends for our home. I enjoy browsing through the new mechandise that is brought is weekly as well as the new seasonal items. The prices are always good and priced fairly. I also like that they keep a large amount of cologne and perfume on hand! Check these shelves out often! O have found several high end items marked very low!!!

This is a nice store for house hold goods and clothing. They have a lot of bedding and pillows as well as shoes and accessories. They have designer fragrances and toys as well as seasonal items. The prices are really reasonable and you never know what you may find. There is a heavy loss prevention presence so be prepared for that as I found it kind of intimidating.

Dressing rooms in back were closed and they had two on front of store by registers. Both of the two in the front were full of clothes with tags and stickers everywhere. Waited in line 10 mins before they finally sent a cashier. That cashier was cheerful quick and friendly and she is why they even got three stars. Otherwise i would have given one.

My daughter gave me a birthday shopping spre and I walked put of there happy as pie. The deals are so good. I'm wearing a soft house coat now that has pink hearts. I love Ross!!! I don't like the lines because I'm disabled but they move pretty fast. Thanks Amber for taking me there for my birthday. Thanks Ross for the wonderful deals!!!

This is a good-sized Ross location. Overall, it was clean and well stocked, but the ladies' restrooms were pretty gross on our visit. Excellent selection of clothes for all ages. Plan for a little wait in line to check out. For me, it was almost 10 minutes because two cashiers were trying their best, but the line was too long.

There are a variety of items to buy here, but it is best to get it when you see it because items are not consistently stocked. I guess that the price to pay for discount shopping. They have long hours so it is easy to shop after work and even dinner during the week. The customer service is usually pleasant and helpful.

I have shopped here in the last and loved the selection. But upon returning I see hardly any selection. Store seems to. have shrunk in size. It doesn't seem to have been restocked in a couple of weeks. Appears to be preparing to close its doors for good? Sad. This was definitely a waist of time driving here to shop.

I have not gone out there but I was told this by someone who was just there to find something vs going to Walmart. Seems like they are doing a good job at social distancing requirements. Person at door keeping count of customers and making sure people are masked up, isles marked, stuff organized and clean.

What a terrible checkout experience. On a Sunday afternoon a week before Christmas, they have two cashiers that couldn’t possibly be moving slower with about 30 people in line. Thank God I was second in line (which still took 20 minutes to get checked out). Absolutely ridiculous, hire more help.

This store closes at 10 yet both the front and back fitting rooms were closed at 8:30 pm When I came. I strongly disliked stores managed like this. Never been to a Ross that did this. I will be reporting to corporate. I just threw my item on a shelf and walked out.

If you want cloth you'll find it at Flus! Very good service and quite an array of different cloths. Plus you can get your furniture reupholstered and make it look completely different or make it look new and restored. A very interesting place for sure.
