Traveling and lost my sunglasses. I decided to ran into this location to purchase a new pair.... Ppl shopping, sounds of laughter and babies crying to me.....sounds AMAZING!!! I grabbed a cute pair of sunglasses and headed to check out .... A lady and her beautiful little girl was waiting in line for a return.... smiling at the little one....waving at each other ...... mom says go ahead in front of me ma'am.. I have a return..(cashier is looking at us the whole time)..walking up the cashier was like um no, I believe she was ahead of you..... I could see the look of disappointment on the other customer face. ( It’s only 3 of us in line and she heard the other customer tell me go ahead of her).. It was almost as if she was chastising me as if I were ill mannered. The sad part is to her this behavior is normal and acceptable in that area of KC. I would like to say thank you to that mom for speaking up loudly and showing the look of disappointment. The look of hurt and disappointment speakings measures.... I believe her little will not go into the world looking at someones color but as a human first..... thank you for your humanity... Ross please vet your staff better... we all know it is hard keeping help but every customer should be treated with respect.... and customer should appreciate the staff and I do! Thank you, to all the workers in retail doing it! Changing the game, we appreciate you!

The cashier was the rudest person ever. Store closes at 11 and she started demanding that myself and one other customer leave at 10:35. If we didn't check out right then after she had already told me I wold be fine as long as I was at registere at 10:50 then out of nowhere she flipped the script and her brain lol....and wanted a lot Coco Puffs apparently. Worst part about the whole experience is that when I called corporate, the lady taking my call was rude, rude, rude as well. I think it was the other girls sister. ( ? ) Anyway corporate policy is its okay to be rude to your customers and kick them out early because apparently Ross is doing so we'll the don't need the last minute shoppers that drop a hundred or two. Hell the amount shouldn't matter. I will never shop Ross again and I have a big mouth to tell everyone my story about how rude they truly are. Oh yeah......incase you haven't noticed.......I'm a talker to!!!

I LOVE Ross! I was so excited to be able to go in and shop. They had all sorts of safety (Covid-19) in place. Masks, 6ft apart, arrows to keep the flow of everyone in there, and plexi glass, and they sanitized the counter area after each transaction. Their inventory was really low though, I'm not sure if it's to get rid of this stuff to bring in all the new stuff, or if it's something else all together. I normally go there and buy alot of clothes..but I also need to try the clothes on in order to see if it looks good. But unfortunately, like other stores, the fitting rooms are closed. Which for me meant, I was not gonna shop for clothes. I dont live in the area, so buying it, hoping it fits is not worth me having to bring it back for a refund. Like i said, I do love it, so when I am in the area, i will always stop by to see what they have. They were also very polite, very clean too!

This location has a lot of things to look at, but some areas you have to dig because of the chaos. It is pretty messy and no employees on the floor to organize or check items. The girls at the register were competing to see who could get more people to round up/ donate money and making snarky comments. We donated and the girl who rang us up held up a handful of papers and showed the girl next to her and laughed and said she "got another one" and the other girl rolled her eyes and said how she couldn't get anyone to do it as she's ringing up a family of 5. That's absolutely disgusting to make it a competition. What if that family of 5 could not afford to do it? Why are you making them feel bad? Maybe you guys should think before you say rude things that could be embarrassing for people.

Found a few really good bargains had to search high and low for those! and I'll go back to see if they've gotten in more stuff one day the selection of dresses was very low and I was surprised. It was the first Ross I'd been to that didn't have a Really Good Selection Of Products Storewide ‍♀️But I'll check back later to see if prices become more reasonable and the selection and organization of the store is better oh and the cashier put all jewelery purchases in the same bag together and all the necklaces were all tangled up smh I thought he had at least separate them with tissue paper or at least some other way to keep them from being tangled customer service was not friendly or welcoming at all and I spent a lot of money in there! Last Wednesday

I’m very disappointed in the newest KC location. I shop at Ross on a bi-weekly basis (mostly at the Barry Rd/AMC location) and have never had such a bad experience. The manager was extremely rude and unprofessional while doing my return. Some items had a receipt and unfortunately items I had just bought just last week did not have the receipt and he treated my boyfriend and I like we had stolen the items. I did not challenge him. I answered all of his questions he asked me. The worst part for me was the person doing a return in front of me had no receipt, and they were telling jokes and laughing. I will not be returning to this location.

Very typical ross, every ross I have ever been into is just like this one, disorganized, not SUPER clean but not disgustingly dirty either. I believe these workers should be paid more, they’d probably put more effort into their job and keep the store looking nicer than its current state. Usually they have pretty okay things, I think ross is one of those stores that’ll be phased out in 15-20 years. There’s a lot of stuff in this store but most of it is just junk, things you’ll buy once and use a few times then never use again, and the clothes selection is eh, feels outdated and more like a thrift store selection than anything else

This is the worst location I have ever visited. First, the manager who was welcoming people, she was angry all the time, has no respect, no manners, and she was very rude and racist, also the store was dirty and when people were shoping then they started cleanning. If people don't like their jobs, why they work, and find another job. I wish that they terminate them, such a horrible people, and they want everything in the store to stay organized, they seems like they don't want you to look and buy because they didn't want to bather themselves and work.

Will never return to this location. In my 20+ years in upper management I've never experienced a store manager so rude and unprofessional as Reed. As a frequent Ross shopper, this store manager caused me to never return to Ross again. This man is definitely on a power trip and has no business working in customer service or managing employees. Sorry Ross... but I won't be back. If you decide to shop at Ross go to the older location by AMC... at least they have friendly employees.

I must say I think I spend enough here to keep them in business and I love Charlie she's a great worker. But other employees seem irritated when I come bcuz I tend to overshoot my budget and leave a few items to put bk but my disability has usually started aching and I even offer to put stuff bk . I've at times worked harder then employed . A lot of gossip to between a few selected workers. But store shopping is great and I love to shop here ..

I spoke with Shannon tonight. Her tone during our conversation was just rude and condescending. I asked about my application and employment. I was supposed to receive a call last week from her, a manager told me. I left that person with my #. I've gotten the run around. If I call earlier to talk, she's not in. When she's at the store, she's too busy to talk. Regardless, your attitude wasn't appreciated. Get that together.

Unbelievably bad experience. 8 customers in line, one cashier, multiple people working in store. When I finally did get to cashier she never once greeted me, just chatted away with other cashier that finally arrived. Then she couldn’t make the card machine work, had no idea how to fix it and said she couldn’t call someone else to help. I finally just left the store without my purchase. Won’t be back

Ross is one of those places where you never know what you're going to find, so make sure that's your expectation going in. It's a great place to find very affordable throw rugs, area rugs, and other household items. In this day I popped in quickly to see if Ross had some Vince Camuto garments that I had seen at TJ Maxx, and they sure did! And at a great price to boot, I was a very happy shopper!

You never know what you will find here. Fun place to shop. But very small and crowded if your trying to have some distance from people forget about it. Also has a walmart vibe. Lots of registers but only a couple people working and long lines.You really have to be here on the right day or they are picked over. So...great place but opportunities for Inprovememt for sure.

Medicore store and really cant figure out its place in the Ross lineup of stores. They would have done better to not have it or put it out by the racetrack. Small, decent selection of inventory. This is my least favorite Ross besides the unorgainzed Independence store. But the prices are superb and when they are good deals, they are awesome products. Double edged sword.

I like the deals you get here. This store is a smaller scale Ross Store and isnt always stocked so that's why I didnt give it 5 stars but it is really convenient. And, it feels like a big win when I find what I want without having to go far or bring coupons just to get a bargain like you have to do with Macy's, JC Penney's and Kohl's.

Store had some really nice stuff. Staff by the changing room upfront was very nice, he greeted me and asked if i found everything alright however the cashier I had check me out did not greet, me but was able to greet people walking into the store, before giving me my total and handing me my receipt. Maybe she had a bad ‍♀️. …

I find so many great things. Pictures for gameroom,or house. Blankets and bedding. House wears even. There is tuns of treasures! Side tables, chairs, stools, pans, cups, decore, pet supplies, shoes, shirts, pants, shorts, socks. They have casual to dome formal dresses even. This is a cookie jar place! Reach in and find your treat!

They say you have 30 days to return you actually have 29. I returned on the 30th day with a receipt they said it does not matter all they can do is store credit and marked the item down $5 or so. So I only received a store credit and lost money returning within 30 days of a purchase and a receipt. Dumb policy.

Never Returning to This Location Again Once we got there They Said they are closing in 5 minutes and Then The Rude Manager Said We are Closing in 5 minutes please Make Your Selection and Head to The Front and I don't recommend this Location I saw an Employee on there Phone goofing off and not doing there Job

They need a better clothes selector here. Their selection on cologne, clothes, and shoes is horrible. I know ROSS has better selections then are at this location. I was highly disappointed because I have gone through their other stores and pieced together some sharp outfits. I will post my outfits later.

I remember when Ross used to be the place to go, now they never have any clothing horse shoes in my size and the store always looks like a bomb went off. They definitely need to train the employees on how to keep the store organized and keep clothing and items off the floor and on top of racks

Pretty typical Ross as far as cluttered feeling and clean enough but not exactly top-notch - somewhat disorganized, not dirty. Their restrooms are closed so be sure to go before your get there. Also, the dressing rooms are also closed which is a huge issue if you're wanting to buy any clothes.

I love this chain. Great new clothes and shoes at reasonable prices. Much cheaper than department stores. Right now their fiting rooms are not open so you have to guess what will fit but they will take back items with tags on. I buy the majority of all my clothes and shoes here.

I really like this store!!! The prices on everything is very fair and beats alot if other dress for less stores in the Kansas City area the selection is great and name brand for way less than retail prices!!! Staff is a little rude but otherwise this location is great!!!!!

I found the store smaller than other Ross’s and easy to navigate. Things looked clean and organized. I found the area that I wanted and picked out 2 things right away. Headed to the check out with no wait and processed through with a courteous clerk. I will return.

The store was an absolute mess! I went a few minutes after they opened, undergarments on the Beauty section, furniture they had on display was dirty and broke with clothes hanging. I left within 5 minutes. It was gross. They have NO pride for their workplace.

Understaffed and rude! Store was a complete mess! I asked a question about why the same item had 2 different prices the lady was so short with me and so rude! Put my items back! The other Ross stores in the area have a much better stock than this location!

No matter what time of day, they only operate with one register. The last four times I shopped at this store, I left abandoned my full cart because I don’t have the extra 20 mins to devote to standing in line. Only visit if you have extra time to spare.

Great place to buy branding itens with affordable prices. Just the items on the shelves are unorganized always the stuff need to pay attention for this. Even if there is unreasonable costumers still the crew need to check'em iut constantly.

This should be a zero. Went to the Ross store at 8440 north Madison Ave. The service was horrible, Zina the cashier took my items and rolled them in a ball, when I asked her to please fold them the said I did..... so I told her I will fold

I love this place. All sorts of amazing deals in every department. They can have grat slection id you can catch it. If see buy it cause it wont be there if you try coming back. Only neagative is quantity. They only get 1 or 2 of an size or

It’s either hit or miss at these stores. Quality in their items hardly meets the standard but for trendier clothing it’s quite fair. Open late for night owls which I like. The home goods section seems to be my favorite department here.

Because of the closeness to Christmas, I wasn't able to find what I needed. However, I shop here often. Prices, selection and service are good If you haven't tried this place, please consider it for a variety of shopping needs.

I like to shop at the Ross stores never know what great items you will find and the store are not so large that you get tired looking for bargains. Good markdowns. Really enjoy the shopping experience at the Ross stores.

All clothing items were easy to find and at great prices! MUCH more than just clothes, we found some gorgeous artificial plants and miscellaneous home decor items, also at fantastic prices! We WILL be back! :-)

I found some cool stuff. The purple haired cashier was meh. She didn't greet me while I was at the register but she saw fit to yell across the store at the people walking through the door.

GREAT PRICES!!! The prices here are great and the clothing is very trendy. I will say that it matters what location you go to because some locations have a lot more to offer than others.

Great prices but the selection was awful. The one further west down Barry Rd near AMC theaters is better in my opinion. The staff was nice. I just wish they had more to choose from.

The store is bare. I love Ross and shopping here but every time I go here the store is BARE. Very little to choose from. I end up going to TJmaxx more because of this

I paid for my clothes. When I got home one of my shirt was missing. They charged me for everything and they kept whatever they feel like keeping behind the counters

Lots of bargains! Variety of soaps body wash shoes household items clothes and jewelry! Can purchase natural products make up purses clothes also.

Ross has things for cheap but you have to look thru them to find the good stuff but for like socks its & some shoes its goid prices as well …

I can usually find what I am looking for. Yesterday, I bought more than intended. This store had many items that most of us can afford.

Rude employees and turned off the lights an hour before closing and nobody said anything and left the lights out for the last hour.
