I used my passport as a form of ID however it somehow 'disappeared' during my stay as an inpatient and was not returned with my belongings upon discharge leaving me to foot the bill to reapply for a new passport despite me still having 5 years left on my stolen passport. Calls to their care and quality line were a waste of time because the operator hung up on me. Their medical students are allowed to treat paitients with no supervision. A particular nurse by the name of Laura was very unprofessional, by telling me I had a case of verbal diarrhea. I made a complaint on the ward and nothing was done. The individual was allowed to continue her training using me as her guniea pig. At one point I was unable to speak and the poorly trained staff would simply use me to practice inserting cannulas without even introducing themselves and explain what procedures they were about to do, and because they were inexperienced it was highly distressing because I did not give consent and they violated my rights. Their medical students are disrespectful and rude. Their HCA's ,especially the ones of a particular nationality were also rude and mannerless. speaking to me and chastising me as though I was a child. Because I was temporarily unable to speak they would begin sponge bathing me without introducing themselves and explaining what they were going to do and I could not give consent. My name was on my paitient file so they knew what my name was however these unscrupulous women were too busy speaking in their foreign language amongst themselves. The only time they spoke english was when they were being insultive towards me. Disgusting attitude from students and HCA's. Horrific care standards. The communication with their neurologist was poor. I was there for 3 months, saw my consultants in the other specialities daily to discuss their findings and my treatment plan. Ms. Burness plays doctor and does not make it a priority to see her paitients to discuss their care plan or answer their questions. Her aftercare and poor listening skills became apparent during the 2 phone consults I had with her after I was discharged. She is a dismissive woman that lacks the ability to listen to her paitients. It was no surprise that she did not see me on the ward. She tried to make excuses about me being 'out of it' which was ridiculous because I spoke to my other consultants daily, I had 2 wonderful infectious disease gentlemen along with the Rheumatologist who was very dedicated. The physiotherapists also saw me daily, Covid did not prevent these other dedicated people from doing their job but Ms Burness claimed I was too mentally incompetent to discuss my treatment with me. She is unable to keep appointments, because she insisted on having a joint clinic with another obscure female consultant who only saw me once like she did and they would keep moving the dates of my follow up appointments making them earlier than agreed after I had already made the travel arangements and paid for them. I am disabled so it is not easy. Ms Burness did all the talking on the phone while the other one said nothing which was amusing because both of them did not see me on a daily basis so did not know know me as a patient despite me being there for 3 months. After 6 cancelled appointments due to their incompetence, I requested to see a different neurologist. No point relying on an unreliable, dismissive woman with poor people skills and no care for her paitients. Hopefully someone else will do a better job,but it is my health and life that she was playing with and making excuses. No ethics. If she spent as much time on her patients as she did on her extensions and vanity, she'd be a passable human. Going public instead of protecting these types of staff is the only thing I can do as a person who has paid the price for NHS malpractice.

Don’t take relative or loved ones here unless you want them dead. This has to be the worst hospital I’ve ever come across. Staff are rude, inexperienced, make careless mistakes, which have resulted to serious matter which are classed as negligence, which I won’t go into ( but not just once but multiple times) no one knows how to communicate effectively with one another or to other departments within the hospital. Cannot take information down correctly or have any listening skills, ( which had lead to incorrect discharge notes eg. Date admitted to hospital and discharge date and cannot give an actual diagnosis. Said it’s one thing and then said it’s something else then said they don’t know when the test confirms what the diagnosis is..amateurs. Starve the patients in hospital only offering them dry toast and sandwiches. On the same hand telling them they need to eat. Long waiting times. Long waits to receiving medication e.g waiting 7 hours for pain relief cause they want to give everyone their treatment at the sametime which isn’t effective. Cannulas being put incorrectly for 17hours. ( patient telling staff but don’t want to listen stating it’s in correct. There excuse is their over stretched and understaff so that’s okay to be rude to patients and neglect them ok.. really the hospital deserve no stars but no such thing as 0 stars. Someone really needs to replan their thinking strategy and put staff on intense training courses and if over stretched hire agency until your able to hire more staff. Better than having no staff at all, your funeral. As you can see from the picture arm is swollen does that look like a cannula that’s been put in properly..I rest my case. Rude member of staff in pals surname Horrocks who was rude to myself and my child. When I mentioned, she was rude wanted to make a formal complaint. she ignored me which I will be filing. ( just because you deal with complaints, doesn’t give you the right to be rude. Suppose to solve complaints not add to the complaint ) funny woman

I have mixed feelings about this hospital. In 2019 had an amazing experience in A&E after a fall down the stairs they did all the testing and thanks to that detected a tumor in my thyroid which got operated upon very soon. Then 2020 hit and pandemic came and had no follow up for it, neither from them or my gp which has led to me being diagnosed with severe hypothyroidism in Scotland in 2022 and having to start treatment. Not just that, had a work accident and slipped 2 discs. First doctor that saw me in A&E told me from the beginning that is what she thought was happening but couldn't do scans or anything due to covid which I understood and sent me home with treatment but as the pandemic eased I had no response to treatment my gp was not doing anything and I had to go back to A&E one day after I was not able to walk due to how much pain I was on. The paramedics were incredible and they took me very seriously but once in the hospital... abandoned in a room for hours and hours, had to beg to be catheterised when my bladder stopped responding and I couldn't urinate and the nurse was extremely rude about it. She even took my alarm button because I kept pressing it to get them to put the catheter as my bladder was filling up and the pain was horrible! Then the morning after they come to discharge me. No explanation, no meds, nothing. They told me everything was normal on the mri. But when I asked for the report, the report confirmed 2 discs slipped but said "shouldn't cause so much pain". Was like a slap in the face! Took the report and went private.... result, second MRI confirms 2 discs slipped in lumbar trapping nerves and causing a lot of pain, surgery to fix it and I'm back to normal now. Was a horrible experience. Being overworked shouldn't mean stop caring. Shouldn't mean mistreat your patients.

From the first call from staff saying nurse practitioner would phone that Day and arrange for bloods ,to speaking to urology practitioner an consultant was 6days. Trying to get ultrasound and ct results from my g ptook weeks and a lot stress , after seeing surgeon and his nurse on the Tuesday and listening to all they told me diagnosis renal cancer and my kidney would need to come out .I had my date for op the pre theatre staff very caring helpful anaesthetist and his staff fantastic I felt so cared for and comfortable even knowing it was major surgery, I have only thank you all then ward 5 urology the care kindness an professionalism had me in awe of them all,I had the best team of people any one could ask for and I say thanks a million you will all remain in my thoughts and heart ,and now to say I am cancer free after my recent scan

My lovely mum had a stroke - the ambulance arrived within minutes. There was a competent and quick diagnosis by the ambulance paramedics. On arrival at the hospital A and E , she was quickly seen by the nurses from the acute stroke ward who actioned all the necessary scans and assessments - carried out with professionalism and kindness. She was kept clean and comfortable in A and E - she had become incontinent - the auxiliary nurses changed nightdresses and bedding uncomplainingly.. Then she was on the acute stroke ward for 5 days . The care she received cannot be criticised - it was excellent. She passed - the struggle was too much. Her care in the final days and hours was exemplary. God bless the staff . If you are reading this, please disregard newspaper reports about this hospital and do something to protect our NHS.

I've just got out of this place, I ended up walking out. With no diagnosis still and that's after going in there at 5pm tonight I asked for a cup of water , I never got one , so now I have to sit in silence worrying what's wrong with me , I would never turn down anyone for a drink of water , I did buy a coffyand cheese on toast that was £7 down the drain , , but if you want to be treated like a human being don't go to the Royal Liverpool Hospital and some people reading this might think it's my own fault for not waiting, but how long do you wait before you get treated with dignity and respect. The same thing they ask for , plus is it now toouch to ask to be seen by a doctor so you can feel better , and be treated better , I won't happen in the Royal Liverpool Hospital for sure

  • keith ball

The hospital is new, but still it's an old hospital design wise, from conception to construction it's been a bumpy ride, a lot of the problems probably could have been nipped in the bud, it's a bit confusing to navigate, it is well signed but you still have to know what you want or need to get there, the staff have trouble navigating through the building, the staff are excellent, couldn't be nicer if they tried, I was helped through to where I needed to go by 2 lovely volunteers, first Barbra and then Gillian, thank you both so much, parking as always is a nightmare, and the journey to the hospital from prescot Street isn't a good one as the kerb is very narrow and the drivers coming into the hospital don't slow down and don't observe the crossing markings,

  • ghost. /:

husband went twice to A&E because of unbearable pain in lower back and whole leg he couldn’t sit nor sleep or drive due to severe pain was already having most pain killers prescribed by GP but he was getting worse instead of getting better, he was turned down twice by a male nurse in A&E didn't even checked his stats and sent him back home saying we don’t see people here for such problems unless you have life threatening condition, what a joke , if they can’t treat people with empathy and care may be they shouldn’t be in this field in the first place.. what if my husband is being diagnosed with something serious later on then whose gonna be responsible for that? We pay taxes but don’t get to be seen when we need them the most such a shame.

This review is purely about the building and its access and is not a review of the staff or the services provided. Public access ways to the new hospital are really poor. Accessing the drop-off point is awful. The recommended car park, if you follow the signage, is a 5 minute, 1 mile drive away. If you walk to the main entrance from Prescot St. as a pedestrian, you can not walk down the ramp as it is only for cars going to the drop-off point. You have to negotiate an outdoor flight of stairs or use an outdoor lift (there is only one, so hopefully it's always working). The hospital is crammed into a very tight space. Crazy design and too small for purpose. Clinic waiting areas are also too small. Very disappointing.

  • Dimitra Psychari Cohen

They literally have destroyed all my veins during bloodworks lol. However the orthopedics group is good, and also many of the doctors I have met are knowledgeable and polite. If get admitted they have an a la carte menu (for free) where you choose what food you want and come three times a day for coffee tea and snacks. I literally ate ice cream every afternoon. But pls don't destroy people's blood vessels or at least put emla so I don't feel the destruction. train those damn phlebotomy nursessss. Oh and also the A&E has a long waiting queue all the times but the triage model is much better than other UK public hospitals.

  • Tom Farrell (tom3949)

Very disappointed with the service in new a &e. After being taken by ambulance, I was transferred to the dept, nurse wasn't listening to ambulance staff as they handed over. Despite suffering from extreme dizziness and nausea I was pushed at high speed by the nurse to general waiting area which was dirty, stunk of smoke, toilets dirty, receptionist on mobile phone with feet up on desk, left there for 6 hours before being seen, was told after medication I needed to be monitored, so stuck back out in same waiting room for another 4 hours. Staff spoke as I'd we were an inconvenience, felt no empathy. Do not wish to return

Have been in there recently with my niece. She had to have emergency surgery and due to her being 16 someone had to stay the night, I took her mum off arounf 10pm and the staff were second to non! So helpful, caring and reassuring. 8y amazing especially the night staff thay were on that day, helpful kind and even offered me hot drinks and gave me something comfier to sleep on. The anesthetic guy, surgeons and the the recover staff afterwords thank you so much for keeping her calm and explaining everything. Also a big thank you to the porters amazing sense of humour and great work again.

  • Rikkie Suresh

Absolutely fantastic place! Rhian & Reena at the haematology / haemophilia department are beyond fanstastic. Had an unfortunate dental accident, and I cannot thank this team enough for liasing with my Royal Free in Hampstead London, and the University Dental Hospital next door, they have all been unreal, and this team is beyond great! Very very happy with all they did for me, and turned me around as an emergency in a couple of hours. Thank you all so much!!! Also the rooftop dining area is immense, is it weird I am looking forward to going back?! Thank you.

  • Pamela Hickson

I had to visit the A&E department last night what a nightmare, it was at least a 4 hour wait, the waiting room was full of rubbish all over the floor and it was full of drunk, abusive people with no security in sight. The nurses that were calling people's names were very quiet and lots of people must have missed their turn. We left in the end without being seen because it was getting very uncomfortable. They need a better system because elderly people must be very frightened by sitting in the waiting room and also not hearing their name being called.

  • H M

I would like to compliment Dr Ramesh and Dr Skouras who completed my POEM procedure at Liverpool Royal Hospital, Endoscopy, on Monday 2nd October 2023. They were absolutely fantastic and explained everything to me very well. The whole team in the procedure room were fantastic and very friendly. Good follow up procedure and ensured all my questions were answered. Must add the staff in Ward 4a were brilliant. To mention Alina, Nicy and Joben were great. Overall a very satisfied patient and a great experience. Please pass on my message to the team.

  • Ellen Powney

I was in A&E on Sunday and back in all the next day. Its a heatwave and covid numbers are high and I was quite nervous as I was on my own. Every single member of staff was amazing, clear, calm, reassuring, not just the medical staff but also other staff members going about their day who noticed me not knowing where to go and took time to ask if I was alright and direct me. There were also people making sure we were all hydrated too. Going to be back a few more times while I get better but I know I'll be in amazing hands, thank you

  • Marion Williams

I was taken to the RLUH by Ambulance last Saturday with breathing difficulty and pain. From the crew that took me in to A+E , Majors eventually to Ward 9B, amazing Nurses, Dr,s Tea Lady, Cleaners, every one made me feel safe and reassured me. The work they do is formominal, they are rushed of there feet, but still have time to give you, That has been my best stay in the RLUH they where moving over to new Hospital too. NOT ALL SUPER HEROES WHERE CAPE'S. Thank you Sam my Nurse. You Staff deserve so much praise. Thank you Marion.

  • Liz Molloy

Very busy as always. Need separate places for mental health patients and vulnerable patients. I was seen by someone who give me steroids to help me breath a bit better. Telling me if I have anymore pain to come back and be seen again. I have returned with pains in my chest wall back and front. Nurse tells me that she don't think I need to see a doctor but will do a ecg. 2 hours later still waiting on a ecg, I could of been having a angina attack or heartattack. Just leaving me sitting in the waiting room. Not happy at all.

  • Jackson Taylor

New Hospital is style over substance. The car park is a nightmare, and the overall layout of the hospital, plus the lack of signage, makes it very easy to get lost. I had a relative who was hospitalised, Ward was filthy, relatives are forced to do the cleaners job. While he was in a delerious state, the staff were abusive and neglectful and lied about their conduct after the fact. It's appaling to think that a brand new hospital is somehow worse than the former buidling that was practically falling apart at the seams.

  • George C

They will let you die on a chair in the triage room, it happened 4 times in 6 months when I had to wait between 5-7 and 12 hours each visit in the end to be sent home without a prescription, a pill or a discharge letter. The staff is clueless and unprofessional, sometimes rude. If you have the chance, stay away. They just pretend to know what they're doing when in fact they just discover medicine on the spot. Get yourself a flight ticket to another country, it will take the same amount of time to get seen by a doctor

  • Joe Lamden

Staff are friendly (although very visibly busy) but this doesn’t excuse the place looking like it houses more disease than it cures… It’s a run down dump of a place, toilets are not clean either… the NHS should consider revising its middle-heavy hierarchy, laying off some of the redundant overpaid middle management that have settled in a role for life and hire more on the front lines/bottom of the ladder and consider a refurbishment initiative…. So much money wasted in the middle.. Disgusting hospital

  • Rona Joseph

I had a very bad experience in this hospital. I came with my husband he was having high fever ,chest congestion, throat pain . We got there in an ambulance ,booked with the GP .sat there for too long and no body else called his name . He was even loosing his consciousness. I've talked to number of nurses there about his severe health condition and nobody helped. It's better to be dead at home than to be in this hospital. Come to India and they will take good care of patients.

  • Rachel Mills

Lovely, amazing, helpful staff. Helped me feel at ease, although, at self check in, my appointment didn’t come up and was told to go to the front desk from the screen, I went to the front desk and noise was present. You feel a pain having to ask staff who work there, but are off duty, for help as their breaks are much needed, but non the less one lady was very helpful. Stop making cutbacks on reception staff, they’re needed! Thank you to the staff at radiology ❤️

  • jay jones

My mum went to this hospital and said the staff don't really look after the patients that well and I had me best friend uncle there too and been told there not looking after him that well as there aposs too. No Idea how the hospital Doing as I never been there to get treated yet but been told there not doing there job well there by people that I know have been there. Never again am I coming here it's a joke I will go somewhere else next time.

Can’t rate the NEW Royal enough. For the first time, my partner was able to leave the car at the drop-off spot and walk me into the hospital. Absolutely love the separate rooms per patient. Everything was 100% better. I’m in hospital every 12-months, at the old Royal my anxiety would hit the roof. The new layout, the ability and space for relatives to come with you. It’s really helped me with my treatment. Thank you .

  • Geisel Bernardini

Horrible experience, I stay for 6hrs on Saturday for urine test , blood test and x-ray, I come back next day Sunday for more 4hrs and nobody knows what I have , doctor said everything OK, but I am still fell so bad, so I leave the hospital and still don't know my problem, I need go in other hospital or book a private doctor. I work for 6days, pay NHS tax all week when I need its doesn't work

  • Kelly Lawless

My sister has been in hospital with covid. As a family we cannot thank enough all of the staff involved in her care. From the paramedics right through to the HDU staff. My sister and our family have been kept fully informed of her care and are so grateful that she's finally getting better. We know it's gonna be a long time before she's fully fit but you have put things in place to help. Thank you NHS

  • Geraldine Fitzpatrick

I spent 8 days on ward 5b in June this year. I was also a patient there in April last year. The nursing care I received was second to none. The nursing staff were happy and smiling , nothing was too much trouble, they really did make a difference. Domestics and hosts were also kind and considerate. I know this is late, but I feel they should all be complimented for delivering such high quality care.

  • Val Old (Valli K)

Despite the hospital itself being a bit tucked away in no-mans land, it's a nice bright hospital. The layout is a bit confusing at first but once you understand the colour coding it's fine. The staff within the clinics are lovely as are the clinicians. The Emergency department could do with a rethink as does not cater for people with mobility, circulation or back issues.

  • david

Excruciating waiting time just to be told that because my blood results were ‘normal’ i was medically well and had ‘nothing wrong’. Absolute incompetency at its best. I was completely dismissed by a rude, on the phone, member of staff. Despite being physically and both mentally unwell they did not want to treat me. Better off dead than coming here for any type of help

  • Chris Quarless

I have always found this a brilliant hospital with very attentive staff. A lot of peoe have bad reviews - 95 % are due to the under funding of the NHS and management and staff having to stretch said funds too fat and very thinly, consequently some areas suffer. It really is a bad state of affairs the way this current government treats NHS staff, despicable in fact!!!

  • Lynn Holmes

I recently visited this amazing new hospital. A big shout out to two young hospital staff who went out of their way to push me in my wheelchair to the hospital entrance. my husband found it a struggle to push me up the steep hill to the hospital. Thank you ladies for helping us on Monday 4 September. Staff in the hospital are kind and helpful Thank you all so much.

  • Ian

My mum has just passed away, she was on the acute cardiac unit, the care she received from every member of staff was outstanding, we as a family cannot thank them enough for what they have done not just for my mum but every member of my family, the real hero's of this world are working in our hospital keeping us safe so thank you so much from the bottom of my heart

  • Mikey Powell

After a recent stay in the Royal I felt obliged to write a review of this great hospital. Even under the strain of a pandemic, my care never felt compromised and I'm extremely grateful for their help. A huge thank you to the staff on ward 8Y for looking after me and their professionalism. You also should be paid danger money for the things you have to deal with.

  • Natalia K

Absolutely terrible hospital, wouldn’t check me over since I had my 5 week old with me who I couldn’t leave. Left me with no care even though I was freshly postpartum with a high temp and high heart rate. Worst of all they told my partner to keep baby at home and just give her water till I’m back, think they run a manual on how to kill rather than help.

  • Wasteful G

A fairly poor emergency department, being one of, if not the largest emergency department for Liverpool there was a massive lack of blankets and the building was massively overcrowded, with some people being treated in the corridors. The automatic door was broken (and clearly had been for a while) so staff were required to push it open and closed.

  • D Holunder

Unqualified nurses and emergency gp; they say they are cardiologists just to later find out they were gps. Providing false data, take patients in after 8-10 hours for a quick conversation let’s patients go as they came bec they are supposed to say you are ok; even falsify ecg to suit them; very dirty place; if you are sick it s best to avoid;

  • Pamela Smith

I visited the endoscopy dept today and was treated with the utmost respect and wealth of knowledge from Ms Stewart Room 3 and her team, they had an onerous task but they performed it expertise skill and a modicum of humour.I would like to thank all the staff in the unit they put me at my ease and cared for me with dignity , Thank you

  • Jane Takes

After waiting an hour in an over heated, packed, waiting room with an excessively loud audio valley system I felt faint with a dreadful headache. The doctor then told me he needed a repeat blood test and I was sent up & diwn the same route 3 times backwards & forwards with no one seeming able to correctly direct ne. I gave up &left

Longer term review as I had major cancer surgery at The Royal 5 years ago and today had my yearly assessment. Delighted to say that all is well and that’s it for a further 12 months! From my experience over the 5 years this is a World Class hospital. Very professional, competent and caring staff who do amazing work. Thank you all.

  • peter dawber

Might be a new hospital but still very bad treatment for patients. Staff not trained to use equipment and cases of staff trying to give wrong medication..not many information signs up massive queues at Costa bar. Many trolleys in corridors with patients waiting to be seen in A and E bit of a disgrace for new hospital …

  • Paul Hodskinson

Had a visit to the new Royal Liverpool University Hospital for an appointment. The new hospital was light, airey and clean. Very easy to navigate your away around with plenty of signage. All the usual amenities on site including a Starbucks and WHSmith. Doesn't feel like a traditional hospital. It feels more relaxed.

  • zak stirling

Worst experience in a hospital yet. Took 8 hours for me to see a doctor. They spent most the time calling peoples names out who weren’t even there. I asked 5 different people for pain killers over a period of 5 hours and nobody could supply me with some. Felt like I was being treated like an animal.

  • John James

Impossible to contact clinics or anyone on phone. Recorded messages giving phone numbers that give same message? No porter available if wheelchair ambulance patient. Nurse in foot clinic unwilling to assist in removal of shoes and socks in foot clinic Consultant did. Perhaps a cultural problem? this

  • paula church

Ward 3B has a wonderful team of the most friendly, kind & caring staff members, who all went above and beyond to accommodate not only my 90 year old father but also that of our family's needs. We can't thank them enough; they're a real asset to the hospital and NHS. Keep up the good work guys!

  • Brenda Kelly

Tried to find out if a neighbour had been admitted was in the phone for 15 mins got through to A&E at one point which must have annoyed them and because I only had her address and name they couldn’t help me so back on hold for patient liaison who never answered in 16 mins disgusting

  • Gostness

I am here for almost 24 hours without having clear answers on what is going on. Doctors keep popping in and out in other rooms and none of them have even ask if I am ok or need anything. I am really disappointed and furious at thus moment that I am thinking to contact a solicitor.

  • Dorina Makra

Today I had an ECG in the hospital, and everyone was so nice and helpful, from the receptionists to the lady who done the actual ECG. She just made me feel so safe and she was super nice and human. I don’t remember her name, but god bless her. She was amazing thank you …

  • Timothy Wall

A ******* disaster of a place, waited 6 hours didn't get seen member of staff said to all patients waiting in a&e there will be a 14 hour wait or maybe longer. An told to go elsewhere or your local gp, problem is the gp will probably refer you back there. Suicidal wait

  • Stephen Webster

Not the best patient care when you say to a 78yo woman at the second triage stage in A&E (3 hours after registering in): "It will be while yet till you see a doctor, but if you feel that bad, then you won't mind waiting will you?" - Triage nurse

  • Loz Davidson

Wonderful staff on the wards at the Royal who are looking after my mum 24/7 during a very difficult time. We are blessed to have you - NHS. ♥ (I won't knock a star off for this but the miserable woman on the switchboard phones needs a new job) x

All the staff that we have dealt with have been wonderful. They always introduce themselves and explain the procedures they are about to perform. They have been kind and have showed a lot of consideration for us. I would like to thank you all.

What a lovely experience, my bladder cance was sorted out within 2weeks. Thanks to Mr Bird surgeon and his staff, also nurses on ward 11, Bev, Michelle, H, Jay and the rest. All fantastic. Can't praise the NHS so much. Love to all.

Some people on here just like moan instead of being thankful we have this fantastic hospital in Liverpool. There will be teething problems but overall and most importantly staff lovely and kind and helpful. A really great hospital.

Attended St Paul's eye hospital which is on the ground floor of the new building. No parking really close by but can drop off by the entrance. Café also not far from the entrance. Reception directs you to the relevant waiting area.

You are amazing from the people at reception on A&E. The doctors and nurses. The cleaner's, the young man who was going around providing drinks and sandwiches. The ambulance staff who took My mum to A&E. Thank you so …

It's strange to say that you "loved" any hospital but the staff here are brilliant, from all accounts some of the best in the world. Now the staff are in a much better building suited to the excellent work they offer patients.

The nursing staff in 8y were excellent taking care of my mother in law. Always kept me up to date what was going on. If my mother in law was feeling strange they'd let me stay with her till she went asleep. Very professional

  • David Brocklehurst

Phlebotomy department is such a let down, rude staff who accuse you of jumping the queue in front of people, but nurses and doctors are on a different level, especially on the wards I was on 8 and they we're amazing

  • Mark Penney

Great staff. Excellent service. Car parking very expensive however and quite a distance for those that are not very mobile. I think there is a courtesy bus from the car park to the hospital for those that need it.

  • Roxana Ciobanu

Went with pain chest, just seen by triage, never seen by a doctor. When I had asked the nurse from trige when I'll be seeing a doctor ,they told me I had being discarded .So awful in treating patients!!!

  • Alexandru Mugurel Cicu

Great hospital with amazing staff always caring for their patients and their needs! Very busy as the hospital is close to the city center and is one of the most used hospitals in the city of Liverpool.

  • Barbara Inchley

Wow the new building is amazing We were sent from the Isle of Man for a biopsy. Staff were super friendly helpful and very very caring. My husband's room was amazing with views of the city.

  • Leah

Absolutely horrified by the scenes in A&E corridor (where there's lots of patients on beds) one man screaming for help. One elderly man fell off his bed. No staff to be seen. Disgraceful

  • Michael

Awful aggroant staff. Then it's just constant waiting only to get told the staff are really busy but have laughed and joked with other staff for hours at a time right in front of you.

  • Anne Robinson

Sitting in corridor waiting for ambulance for at least 4hrs to take my dementia resident back to nursing home. She is not mobile so no other way back. So agitated they just dont care.

  • David Martin

The waiting time is absolutely ridiculous now. I was told "urgent" referrals now take 9-12 months. You're better off just taking your chances with whatever health condition you have.

  • kathryn Kelly

Abysmal well understaffed.. Why build such a big hospital when you only have 2 staff to run a&e.. Staff are so busy it makes them seem rude offhand and extremely uncaring …

  • Phil Marr

Visited st Paul's hospital A&E here after being referred to them by Southport and district hospital. What a difference in speed of service, service and professional expertise.

  • Stan McIntyre

My wife is in a wheelchair and parking is far away. WHY didn't they build this place nearer to a train station it's a nightmare to park and find your way around the hospital.

  • Daniel E

Amazing hospital I have pancreatitis and when the pancreas specialists saw me they said I looked very unwell and admitted me in amazing staff and so friendly and caring

  • David Parry

Really good experience and visit a few weeks back. Friendly staff, all pre tests and scans done quickly and professionally, before i saw the consultant.

  • Roy Culshaw

They need to reconsider the public parking spaces. There's simply not enough for the amount of people attending clinics and A&E.

  • Ana Green

I was and I am tremendously impressed by the dedication and passion of the 3B ward team. Popy, Sue, Adele amazing Nurses and Drs

  • Yasmin Sammy

Awful service, no one cares about the patients! Overheard nurses and doctors laughing about their holidays for over 45 minutes.

  • Aaron 2300

I dont feel safe walking into that hospital, knowing they are employing an antisemitic called Muhammad Abdelmoez Allam

  • Liam Willmott

We had to wait for quite a bit but got a good diagnosis and everyone was very approachable. Very reliable ER

  • Gwyneth Penny
