I would like to express my grave disappointment in my experience with this vet, i took my dog in as he had a bulb on his ear, the vet insisted the only way to fix is surgery, she gave me a quote of how much it would cost, which she actually went into the system and checked all the applicable costs, when the bill came it was substantially more than what was quoted, after consulting another vet, i was told that surgery is very hectic for a small dog like him, and the ear would have healed by itself after about a month, the vet failed to disclose this, making like an operation was the only way and then still give me a two page bill. I would like the owner of the practice to contact me as i was not informed that it will heal on its own. I agreed to do the operation based on the quoted amounts, the bill was more so i am not sure if this was a means to make additional money or not. Very unhappy!!!

Phillip and myself found a little fury dog running around in Ruimsig area. Via fb we got informed that the Ruimsig Vet will look after lost dogs. It was a rainy day with great lightening when we arrived at the Vet. A very friendly lady opened the gate and called immediately for the doctor. The Vet is situated on Hole on One road, next to the Spur. Very big and clean waiting area. 2 of the doctors had immediately a look at our little anxious Jack Russell. They were taking the scared dog carefully into the exam room and our job was done. Hope the owner will be found. A big thank you for the immediate help and the friendly chat we had. I would definitely recommend the Ruimsig Vet clinic.

I took my german shepherd in for emergency surgery. After the surgery I went to collect him and made the full payment at reception before I was able to take him home. The staff did not record the payment received and once a week they contact me asking for payment. I have sent through proof of payment multiple times, yet the continue to ask for it. Further, the doctor forgot to prescribe antibiotics and pain medicine for my dog and I had to take him back the next day to get some prescribed. I feel like this veterinary doesn’t have proper steps in place to ensure that payments have been received and that all required treatment is given.

I will never in my life go to another Vet again. I had to take my dog to a vet closer to my house due to unforseen circumstances yesterday... I was in tears after how they treated him and through how much pain he went. I took him to this Veterinary clinic this morning which I have done with Max and ALL of my pets before. I was in tears AGAIN afterwards of how good they treated my dog today (as always) and with so much love and care.. Thank you so very much, I appreciate everyone working there. You are great, friendly and most importantly the best with animals I have ever experienced. GO TO THEM. You will never regret it.

I was so happy when they allowed me to book in my dog last minute since I was travelling on the day and working out of the province, I dropped off my dog(Ziggy) with his harness on (attached) but when I picked him up the next day he had a hard rope around his neck that he was getting pulled with by one of their workers. I was so heartbroken because the doctor was so kind to us the time I brought him in when he was ill. I suggest they talk to their workers, Ziggy didn’t deserve to get treated that way, the doctor and receptionist are too kind though. Unfortunately I won’t be boarding him there anymore.

Excellent excellent my first visit to this vet was greeted warmly saw to my very ill Labrador saw to her immediately all my 7 dogs need vaccines this vet said would make a hlusecall to vaccinate all dogs on my property I am so impressed everyone in this area to make use of them I abdolutrly highly recommend them they also do not exploit their customers with ridiculous bills

Dr. Dave has so much love and compassion for animals! My Milo was very old and had to cross the rainbow! Thank you for making the cremation and everything around it easier for me!! You are a true hero and although I don't live close anymore, I will always take my babies to him!

Note: Dr Dave relocate his practice to 158 Hole in One. Dr Dave is a hero in our eyes, he will attend to your pet's needs regardless the hour of the day. Dr Dave's staff is friendly, helpful and always willing to give a hand with carrying dog food or assisting where they can.

The vets and Staff are extremely nice and you can just see they love what they do. Reason for taking away 2 stars is that they have become overly expensive. This will lead to less and less people bringing their animals to vets at is just absurd how much they have to pay.

Make this your local vet, even if you're not that close by! (And there are others close by!) I've seen quite a few veterinary practices and this is by far the most warm, welcoming and caring one. And they pretty darn good at what they do, which is the most important.

I cannot recommend this clinic highly enough. Dr Dave is exceptional, such a love for animals. He saw us at 6:30am on a Sunday, it was an emergency and he didn't hesitate, saved our dogs life for sure!! This is the vet you need to be seeing for your fur babies.

Staff very vriendly and helpfull. We just had a puppy emergency before opentime and Dr Dave swiftly came to help us. We want to thank you all for everything. Extreamly good service and the Dr's are very good. I recomend you use ruimsig vet.

Lovely vets and front desk staff. Took my male rabbit here to get neutered a couple of months ago and he recovered incredibly quickly and was up and running with no pain after his surgery. Recently took my female rabbit in with an abrasion

Disappointing service. Phone calls not returned on several occasions, when prescribed treatment failed to work. Did not appear to take my dog or cat's problems seriously. Had to eventually seek help elsewhere.
