Amaaaaazzzziiiing! It was our 2nd time here, and I can tell you straight up the security is strict and they keep a keen eye on guests before coming in and whilst you are in the club. It felt safe to be in the club with them around! They had a small dance floor with a few VIP tables near it- music was good especially when then DJ stepped in at 10pm (Really good transition between songs though each song played pretty quickly in between so if you like a particular song, you would vibe to it only a while before another song is queued in- I liked some songs quite a lot, some not so, but I must say DJ knew what he was doing). The atmosphere was nice and on both visits, we had a good mix of people having a good time at the bar. We were dancing and vibing with other guests and it was a good night of dancing. Drinks were half priced until 11pm- they make good drinks by the pitcher (beware as they taste really refreshing and intoxicate you slowly) Some bar staff can be more generous than others and you will notice that as you order, we had quite a few drinks throughout the night) There was a lady at the washroom who was nice and tried to serve you the best she could by handing you some towels and such- she did not ask me any money for the loo but I was happy to give her a pound or two for my 1st trip to the toilet- rest of the night, I was in and out to which she maintained her service with a smile. The cherry on top was Fatim, and the security team. You could feel they were looking after you. We were so happy to see Fatim and would go back just to see her again! We did not have a prebooking and arrived a little over 9pm but was ushered in well. They check your ID and scan or record it before entry in their computer. There's a cloakroom that charges £3 for every item you check in- we got ours kept in complimentary thanks to Fatim, the head security! I notice they go around asking people to check in their coats and huge bags into the cloakroom inside the bar- I am guessing it is for safety and security purposes. As we left Fatim and Raul were by the entrance and greeted us warmly out. It was an overall good experience for us and would go back there again!

The most disgusting experience me and my friends have ever had in a club. We were two girls and a guy. We were pretty decent, didn't have too many drinks since us two girls were gonna go home alone so we had to be good enough, we were dancing while the gaurds kept constantly patrolling us as if we did something, then we went out for a bit to take a breather and then when we wanted to go back in, the one female gaurd said, I was too intoxicated which by no means was true, i know what my "too intoxicated" looks like and we wouldn't even be going on if any of us were "too intoxicated". Then the female gaurd kept shoving me back and force feeding me water till i couldn't anymore and became emotional cause of the way we were treated. My friend then just realised she got her period and she wasn't even allowed to go to the toilet to put a pad on, we had to literally beg for them to let her in, she had to pay 2 pounds for a single pad. Then I realised I felt like I got my period too and wanted to go to the toilet to check if I actually did after my friend returns, but no way in hell was i who could actually be bleeding down her pants was allowed to go in to use the toilet, I had to keep sitting outside on the pavement, and by then I was crying cause ofcourse, you can understand my mental situation at the moment, we had to go around the area looking for a toilet to use. My friends then went and asked the gaurds why in the hell were we actually not allowed to go back in and they remained silent, they had nothing to say cause it definitely wasn't justified. They denied a basic human right as well to me and didn't even let me go in to use the toilet. It's disgusting, the humiliation we faced, the emotional stress, it was horrible, we have never experienced anything like this ever in our lives. We did read a lot of reviews about the club gaurds being racist and rude but chose to not believe it but it was all true and we learnt it the hard way. Don't even think about visiting this club if you don't want to experience one of the most horrible nights of your clubbing lives.

Where to begin… I was denied entry at Loop Bar because a senior member of security staff at Bar Rumba had spitefully left a ban on my friend and I, after we had previously called him and one of his security team (Fatim) out on only body searching us and no one else who had come from the smoking area. I was told to go back to Bar Rumba and ask them to remove me from the system ban. The SAME senior staff member said “until your friend removes the review, there is nothing to discuss” (this is in reference to an earlier google review my friend had left in which we both felt racially profiled). Having also worked in the security sector, there is absolutely no room in the SIA (Security Industry Authority), or frankly any running industry for this sort of manipulative and abusive use of power. No one should be left to feel entirely humiliated and dehumanised, having to leave friends and apologise when there was never a need to. As the senior staff said, “the only reason you came back here and are apologising is because of the ban”, yes, you are correct. With this ban you essentially dictate whether or not I or whoever else you have unjustly banned will be able to enjoy a night in London again, and that is a power you have shown you’ll use against people that stand up for themselves or show that you and your security team were in the wrong. “If you cause problems for me I will make life difficult for you”, another friendly reminder that there are people with security badges that are undeserving of them. The Bar Rumba management know exactly which senior security member of staff I am referring to, as he told me they had a meeting with him where he had to explain his previous actions. This inconvenience to him is what led to our ban…

Friday 3 of March. My friend and I were excited to dance and enjoy the lively atmosphere. We had a great time socializing with other patrons, and the music was just our style. However, our experience was soured by the unexpected behavior of the manager. At one point, the manager approached us and asked us to calm down in a extremely rude way, even though we were simply enjoying ourselves on the dance floor. This was confusing and surprising, especially given the club's advertised motto of "WE LIKE TO PARTY!" on their website. Despite this, we still had a great time dancing and chatting with other patrons. Unfortunately, later in the evening, the manager returned and asked us to leave the club without providing any explanation. We were being yelled at aggressively, and she never approached us in a normal way to explain what we had done wrong. This left us feeling confused and frustrated, as we were simply dancing in our own space and not causing any trouble. To our surprise, the people around us were equally puzzled and thought it was unfair that we were being kicked out, as they couldn't see any reason for it. While we did have fun at Rumba and appreciated the chance to dance and socialize, the inconsistent management and lack of clarity around acceptable behavior on the dance floor left a negative impression. Overall, it was an enjoyable but ultimately disappointing night out. We hope that Rumba can address these issues in the future and create a more welcoming environment for all patrons.

Please don't visit if you're a person of color. They are clearly racist and it's so sad to see. The black female security guard asked us, two Asian women, if we had a booking, we said no but we're happy to pay because our sisters were inside and we wanted to make sure we could reach them. She said absolutely not all bookings are closed. Right after us, there were a group of white men and women who she winked to saying you guys don't have a booking but I will let you in just wait here. You can look at multiple reviews where only white people have had a positive experience. No place for racists in this city guys, you should shut shop if you can't be inclusive. I will make sure I tell my huge group of Asian diaspora who live here as well as white friends to never visit. You guys have lost potential business because of your internalized racism which is so sad to see. As we stood waiting another guy who works at the club offered to let us in if we paid cash. Goes to show how shady these guys are. Thankfully our sisters came out anyway coz the club was boring but was a good learning for us. Plus we were spared the humiliation of giving our money to a racist establishment.

My recent visit to Rumba Nightclub was extremely disappointing, with one incident that truly marred the experience. Fatima, one of the security staff, demanded an extra payment and insisted we keep it a secret, despite our online booking not mentioning such a requirement. After reluctantly complying with this odd condition, we later found out that our tickets included complimentary drinks. When this was brought to the supervisor's attention, they promptly apologized and refunded our extra payment as a form of drinks. To make matters worse, later in the evening, Fatima accused us of wrongdoing without reason and threatened to deny us re-entry. This not only left us baffled but also ruined the night to a great extent. What's even more disheartening is that when denying us access, Fatima also had the audacity to ask for a tip. This entire experience was simply unpleasant. I sincerely hope Rumba Nightclub management takes serious note of such incidents to preserve their hard-earned reputation. I would advice you better to find an alternative place until they fix up this corruption.

I recently had an extremely unpleasant experience at Rumba Pub during their pub crawl event, and I feel compelled to share my disappointment and frustration. It was disheartening to witness such blatant discrimination and exclusionary practices firsthand. Every person, regardless of their ethnicity or background, should be treated with respect. Re-entry into the pub as part of pub crawl event was not permitted. No one was high with alcohol on re entry. We could visit various other pubs after this and no one stopped us an entry saying we are drunk more than required. We could see that people of our color were certainly targeted and excluded from pub entry( the reason i say this is there was a group of indian lads who were not given entry along our group even when they were not drunk, we didnt even know them,) .We were as civil as anyone could be. This lack of flexibility is highly inconvenient and demonstrates a disregard for the patrons' comfort and needs. It is disappointing .Never visiting again

I found this club so safe! Coming up from Devon with my sister and we were very nervous about clubbing in London. We purchased tickets before we arrived and this was super easy when we got to the door, all we had to do was provide our IDs and the tickets which you get via email. Once inside I think I counted at least 3 security guards, and there were also people wondering round collecting glasses checking up on guests. The music was a great mix of all genres and we loved that there was a bar area to stand and drink and also a dance area. I would also like to say that the woman who works in the club toilet was amazing, she was very kind and continuously checked up on all who went in to use the toilets! I think I felt safer clubbing here than I would in Devon! Definitely somewhere I’d recommend if you’re apprehensive about clubbing in the big city but also looking for somewhere you can have a great time! Also, before 11pm it’s happy hour which was a bonus!!

Average place to be honest. Management had the cheek of asking us for £800 for a poxy table, and a half empty night on a Friday night as well. Rude management staff apart from one nice security guy inside who knew how to keep things cool. The rest of the staff all moody and miserable, definitely had a huge chip on their shoulder, acting like they were doing us a favor letting us in, when in fact it was the other way round. We had a big group, all decently dressed, good manners and all. Bottom line - We brought life to an otherwise lame party. We bought many drinks that night. Probably never visit this place again. I’ve been to funerals that had more life…no joke. Definitely not our loss. No wonder these businesses barely survive in these testing times. Drop the attitude, and smile a bit more. Now there, that wasn’t hard was it?

  • Tania Galindo

Avoid. One of the worst clubs in London, security people they push you and touch you all the time, we were just waiting in the queue. Entry is £15 on sunday (many cheaper clubs around the area), and inside they force you to pay the cloakroom even if you have a table and a place for you. And the security guy literally said: if you don't have money for the cloakroom then why are you here? Who comes to a club without money? I paid my entry and I wanted to dance, easy. Only Fatim was polite and tried to stop the other guy from touching us, thanks Fatim! Update, they banned me for 8 years in other clubs just because of this review! They state it was another reason other than the review but they refuse to arrange a meeting or to show any proof.

  • Daniel Sendecki

you can't call it a club as it is a bar with music and a small dance floor. You can have a nice time but only from 23:30 because before this hour there is no one except security and employees. security very friendly as well as staff. once you leave, you can't come back. Good DJ playing good music. Double prices cider with strawberry and lemon £7 drink £12 entry fee £10 Generally a bar bigger than a zoo bar where you can also have fun but it's still not what I'm looking for in London. The dance floor service is annoying, guys go back and forth even when there is nothing to do. Priced bar with dance floor is not worth the money

Just got assaulted (slapped across the face) by a man from the club right outside and the security told him to run away. I am a female and was hit by a black male (pictured below) about 5’10” and a female security guard (potentially a police officer I’m not positive but she was wearing a yellow vest) (from Burkina Faso) encouraged him to run away so he wouldn’t get caught. I do not recommend this club what so ever. The picture of the man will be attached below as well as a picture of the “security” that told him to run and the security (the two men pictured) at the club supporting it. It was reported to the police and the police did not do anything about it.

  • Crystallising

Horrible place - they scammed us. We wanted to go smoke so we asked the guard if we were allowed to go smoke, and they said yes. Then we went to go smoke and when we came back 5 minutes later, they told us we could not come back in. Fatim also claimed that we could get a discounted entry price if we left a positive review and mentioned her name. I will never come back and tell all my friends to avoid this place. On top of being scammed, the club itself (If you can even call it one) was crowded, hot to the point of sweating and had almost no ventilation.

What a shambles of an establishment… threaten by management to remove a previously written review or face a ban to other venues simply because I stood up for myself against their ridiculous double search policy which only applied to me. Senior management needs to understand there is a fundamental issue when ‘racist’ is one of the most frequently used terms to describe this venue. The venue itself is good but run by poor management who basks in the little power he has. “If you cause problems for me I will make life difficult for you” Don’t walk from this venue, run.

Very poor behaviour from the female security guard. I just management does a undercover boss episode with her. She's clearly racist. I noticed she stopped 80% of coloured guys for no reason, saying you're too drunk. You definitely need more eyes on a place like this. A security guard who thinks she's a boss ruins several people's night. It's easy enough to get another security guard to replace someone who's been disrespectful to a custom. I would recommend going someplace else and not bother going here unless the management changes the security guard.

Homophobic bouncer. Took my team out for drinks and one of my female colleagues starting dancing with another girl and both of them having a good time. The bouncer then came over and told my colleague she needed to go out for some air and walked her outside. We told the head doorman and he went and spoke to the bouncer that walked her out (so thank you to him) but it's 2023 this shouldn't of happened in the first place. There were guys doing a lot more explicit things with girls in that club and nothing happened to them. Fire the homophobic bouncer and you will have a decent club

  • Synthia Gazi

I used to love going here and being a regular for 4 years but recently I was for the memories and was denied entry as I was accompanied by too many male friends? Ridiculous behaviour as they let some other girls who were completely inebriated go ahead of us and enter the club whereas myself and my friends who had just stepped out for the night were told we were too drunk to enter?? Really ruined my experience as i was looking forward to going back to a place I have so many good memories at but definitely won’t recommend it to people anymore.

  • gabyella33

The guides were super nice! BUT they disappeared at the end and the security people determine whether or not you're too intoxicated to come in to the last bar. I was sticking up for a random guy in my group and the security said my husband was too drunk to come in. Then she decided to not let anybody from the bar crawl come in. It's a rip off because if you can't drink and have fun then why pay for this. She was super rude and the reviews will tell you what you need to know. Just do this on your own.

Club itself is really good but the security staff are extremely rude and very unhelpful. Was searched multiple times when other people were allowed to go in and when I questioned this I was threatened by the security team. The management of the club should look into replacing this security team because they are affecting the business as a whole. Whole point of security is to protect the venue…not to damage and destroy its reputation.

Rude security staff, the guy with a mustache. He rudely ask us to remove our purses from the table and ranted that we didn’t have priority over other clients, we said ok and not to worry because we were leaving in 5, and he said that he will throw us out and we had a minute to finish our drinks. When walking up the stairs of the club he scream “Bitches” at us. Completely outrageous. The music was bad too so I will avoid this club. There are plenty around to go instead.

bar and very nice atmosphere. on the other hand, security leaves something to be desired. a security guy did not accept that I left my jacket on the stool, and came several times to put my jacket in my arms, telling me that I had to keep it on me. unacceptable, we came there twice in the evening with the "pub crawl" service, we consumed, and we felt harassed by this bouncer. unacceptable. we left without having finished our evening. Shame

A great night had by all. We paid for the party package that included a booth, bottle of vodka, shots and wrist bands. Worth every penny. Staff were great and the music was Brillient. Only negative, newer members of staff need better cocktail training! She went to put lemonade in the Boston glass and I had to tell her how it's done . Luckily a more experienced member of staff took over and the cocktails were great!

  • EMEKA

Would not recommend this venue at all. Security were incredibly aggressive to a friend. They not only took her jacket and bag, putting it in the cloakroom in order to try and charge her, they also assaulted her by pulling her top down in an altercation. Their behaviour was discraceful, they refused to look at cctv and they took no accountability. Would highly recommend staying away from them at all costs

  • Scott Martens

This was the first stop with my girlfriend for the pubcrawl. At the beginning it was okay. When we came back (end of the crawl) the atmosphere was totally ruïned by the staff. People were shouted at in the line outside and inside when they were waiting to retrieve their coats. The music-choice was really horrible. Don't go there after midnight.

Fatim from Burkian Faso, she is amazing and we had the best time just because of her! We were walking all over SoHo, and we stopped at Rumba and she highly recommended it to us, we got in, and we stayed there for a couple hours and it was the best night club we could spend our night at!! Thai you so much for the experience!! People make the difference on a trip, and she did! ❤️

We all had a lovely night at the comedy event, then we all had a great time after in a little booth.. but THEN we were told at midnight that we needed to move from our booth cos it was "booked". No sorry, no "my bad this area is booked".. baring in mind there was no sign on any tables and we had spent alot of money in the venue at this point, and now we just had to move..

Awful place, I had prebooked tickets prior and was denied entry because there was more guys than girls. Security guard was rude and did not know how to do his job. Do not come here!!

  • Micael Steinhardt

Fatim was the best person I've ever dealt with in a club. Thank you for everything. Give this girl a raise, if it weren't for her, me and 20 friends would have gone elsewhere.

  • Nina Gierlinger

If you wanna get harassed by the security guards then it’s a great place. They‘re all over the dance floor, looking at the dancing girls and being rude. Not great at all.

The security and hostess are amazing! Very pleasant and accommodating. Took us right away and made us feel so comfortable. Fatim at the front door is the best! More

Under the week it’s not so crowded and only one part of the area is opened. But atmosphere was good, I did like/dislike a couple of songs (like most clubs)

It was hard to get in and once you leave, they will not let you come back. I wish they shared this with us. It’s a terrible experience overall.
