I found Rushdale on Google when I was looking for an engine specialist for a second opinion, after the Ford dealership quoted me a very expensive repair for a (supposedly) cracked cylinder head. Jim was very courteous and patient, taking time to explain things and answer questions. During the two times I was there he even ignored his ringing phone! Long story short, the problem was not a cracked cylinder head at all! Jim had explained clearly what he was going to do (as the fix may not be conclusive the first time due to the nature of the problem) and made sure I understood before proceeding. In the end that one fix was all that was needed and it cost less than a tenth of what the Ford dealership quoted me! The Ford dealership was clearly trying to rip me off by quoting an unnecessary major repair. I will definitely go back to Rushdale, both for service and repairs. I feel this is an honest business and they value long term relationships with their customers.

I've tried so many mechanics and I'll consistently come back to Rushdale Automotive. They're polite, friendly, knowledgeable, helpful, kind and their work is fantastic. They've picked up things other mechanics have missed, have always called to check with me on certain things, and will go the extra mile to help you save money (by calling around to find a part OR even machining a part themselves). Their prices are reasonable, you know you're not getting ripped off, but you also know they aren't skimping on the service. So, if you're someone who needs a reliable family mechanic that is honest, reasonable and helpful, look no further as Rushdale Automotive are definitely the place that you can leave your car safely with.

Excellent expertise, efficiency and customer service. We would strongly recommend this mechanic to everyone in the area! My husband and I have been getting our cars serviced here for a few years, and even though we have moved house, we continue to send our cars here as we trust the service, which is always friendly and reliable even when they are flat out busy. In the past 12 months, I have called Rushdale Automotives after something had suddenly gone wrong with my car. Both times Jim had been very busy and fully booked, but he said come in and I will have a look. He made time to do an assessment and found a solution both times either by letting me borrow the hire car or fixing the problem very quickly. Thank you!

Honestly the boys have lost the plot. This shop used to be really good when the old man was running it, i was going there from last 10years but this was my last service. I m done with them, I got charged almost $700 for normal service and rear break and rear discs machine. Yes they do a ok job but the price has gone double since old man left that shop. They always charge little extra on parts as well, I gave them nearly 10customers but one by one they all stop going there in last one year. They charge my boss thousands of $$$ for RWC and the things they charged him for wasn’t even fixed. He ended up going somewhere else to get them fixed. Amazing customer service! The workers here were extremely knowledgeable and sweet when it came to answering any question. I came in for an RWC and ended up needing a few repairs to complete one. I was kept in the loop constantly as to what parts might be an issue and if the cost of repairs would increase because of that. Overall, I was extremely satisfied with the work done and the price paid. They also helped me out when I wasn't able to pick up my car when the repairs were completed. Great local mechanics!

This business is consistently fair, friendly and professional. I had a few vehicle issues present themselves on my Ford Ranger and Ford misdiagnosed, overcharged and provided poor customer service. Rushdale Automotive are the opposite and always provide a complimentary loan vehicle. Great mechanics are hard to find and these guys are the best I've ever experienced. I won't be taking my cars anywhere else.

INCREDIBLE SERVICE. I am a young female with next to no knowledge about mechanics. Worried I’d be taken advantage of and made to pay excessive prices, instead I got the most wonderful and honest service. Professional, genuine and friendly. Bruce and his team fixed my car and gave me a lift to and from work!!! 100% would recommended!

I can't say enough good things about these guys. Friendly, helpful, reasonably priced, and above all honest and ethical. I know very little about mechanical issues, and they could easily have taken advantage, but it's not in their nature; that's why this family business has survived so long. I wouldn't use anyone else.

Really disappointed in this mechanic! I asked him to do a full check over my car for a big trip and I tolt him that I already did my one oil change and he topped it up anyway, I had to pump it out myself and put it on the right level. For the things he done he charged me to much money!!

The crew at Rushdale Automotive went above and beyond to help me out in getting my car sorted and back on the roads. Bruce in particular helped me out so much and would highly recommend this mechanic to anyone who needs to get their car sorted. 10/10

The NEW OWNERS are absolutely amazing, I'd be giving 100 star's if I could. Absolutely no offence to the previous owner but these guys are it s**t and a bit for real, 100% honest and for once a place that doesn't take advantage of women

Jim could have done extensive check-ups & charged accordingly, but just did the basic necessities for my peace of mind. The previous owners were very honest, Jim & Jackie look to be carrying on the same tradition. Will be back.
