TLDR; tax-like scam, fraud pricing on arrival, stay away. He uses fraudulent scams to steal your money. Last Saturday evening, before his arrival at my apartment, his quote was 30$ for emergency and 145$-175$ depends on the lock. When he came, he saw my lock and immediately he says it’s ASSA and requires another 100$, even though our lock is 20 years old, very ordinary, and low price model without any additional security features. He just picked one lock within 2 minutes. He charged 305$ and when I said it was too expensive, he gave me a ’30$’ discount. How graceful!!! The worst is that he collected another 15% on 275$ claiming that it is for tax (total 316.18$). Later I found that picking a lock is NOT A TAXABLE SERVICE. He charged +15% ILLEGALLY!!! What a creative fraud he is!!! He did not sell or install any parts, so the service is not taxable and he must have known that already. The credit card receipt doesn’t have a tax number either. I later asked him to give me a refund for his ‘honest mistake’, then he blocked my contact!!! Now, I have no other choice but to report his fraud to the police and Revenue Quebec. He claimed to be a professional of 35+ years, but with his rude attitude and dishonesty, he will for sure lose his clientele in Montreal. Who knows, maybe with his paid positive reviews he will be okay.

Says will arrive in 5 minutes then have to wait for him many hours Then tries to take advantage and charges very expensive just for the transportation ****************************************** **** UPDATE , after owner reply.********* ****************************************** 1- I did mention on the call, that the door is thick, you should have mentioned it will cost you hundreds of dollars, and then I would have refused the visit. 2- you tried to charge me $225 to install the extension, which of course I had to refuse, and I got the extension from a different locksmith nearby for $20 only. 3- you tried to charge me $75 for transportation, and then accepted to get only $45. which I still find it too expensive for a visit you did, and didn't take 5 minutes only.

Had the unfortunate experience of having to call a locksmith at 5:00am. I understand the concept of emergency services but $430 for 2 minutes of work??? Absolute rip-off, these people have ZERO issues taking advantage of people. The guy who came was so rude. I felt like i was being treated like a criminal for being locked out of my apartment. Like i did it on purpose or something. Even forced me to make a voice recording on his phone promising to pay because my wallet was locked in my apartment. So agressive! you have my address, how am I supposed to scam you??? (Just for context - I am 5 foot nothing young woman) I think he figured he could intimidate me because of my size. DO NOT RECOMMEND

The name’s guy Mike is gonna take advantage of your situation. He will charge you 200$ or even more for a door. He came 1 hour late and saw that I was a young man. Because I live in a condo he even charged me almost 300$. AVOID THIS GUY, GO TO KIJIJI CHEAPER SERVICES. If I knew from before I would not even have put this guy 5 stars and good comment in front of him so he will ( act like he gives you a good service) High security lock cost 35$ in amazon . You charge 250$ + service (40$). You are literally stealing the money from every person caught in a bad situation, disgusting business.

Came home at 11:00pm on a Sunday to find that the Spring mechanism completely failed and deteriorated on our front door. We gave these guys a call and Mike the Technician arrived within 20 minutes to assist us. Mike was very professional and knowledgeable and immediately identified and explained the matter at hand. Specialized, skillful and a friendly personality, we highly recommend giving Mike a call if you find yourself in need of reliable, quality service! Would highly recommend this locksmith service! Mike came so quickly and did everything he could to save us money by restoring components instead of replacing them when possible. He was super knowledgable, kind and diligent. I called another locksmith before him who quoted me far more and said it would be three days wait for someone to come by, despite the fact that my dog was locked inside the unit. Mike was able to come right away. His service truly operates 24/7! I would recommend him to anyone.

Totally unprofessional and unethical. It took: $290, 55 days, 5 calls, 6 reminder text messages; for him to order and change a simple door handle. I had to threaten to sue him for him to come and finish the job. He ended coming finish installing the new handle, but didn’t tighten any screws, doing a complete lousy job. I had to tighten all the screws myself. It was a nightmare dealing with him, worst company I had to deal with. I wish I had called someone else, anyone else!

This was the best customer service I have ever had with any company. Mike arrived very quicklya and was very professional. Even though the locking mechanism was extremely damaged and it took us hours to get in Mike never lost patience and wasn't going to give up until we got the problem fixed. Callee SOS because I was locked out of my condo due to a broken lock. Mike was there within the hour and actually spent a good amount of time fixing the lock. Since the condo adminstration has a very strict policy on locks, he had to salvage many parts to preserve the appearance while replacing the broken parts with better ones. If you want good quality work, Mike is definitely your guy! Please keep in mind that quality work is not cheap.

I would like to thank Mike, who came late on a Sunday night, through terrible traffic, to help me get into my apartment after I was locked out. My landlord was unreachable (and unhelpful), and he came promptly, after just one phone call, and all other locksmiths were unavailable. They were available very fast for an emergency which is everything you could hope for when its freezing and your front door wont close or lock. Very nice and extremely accommodating.
