All of the positive reviews are right - the couple behind the bar is both extremely knowledgeable about the drinks they serve, and also very lovely and thoughtful. They spoke to us the whole night using Google translate and taught us a lot about the history of Japanese whiskey and gin - anything you ask about any alcohol, you’ll likely get an answer! We got one of the bar special cocktails and a couple glasses of old fashioned - these have been mixed slightly differently every time they were made (with the couple behind the bar asking for our preference first). Great experience, thank you very much! It’s on the fifth floor of the building for anyone who struggles to find it on Google maps.

Walking into Sand Bar, the very first thing you notice is that the spirits are the star of the show. Displayed in a back lit bar top, the Sand Bar is bursting at the seams with spriits stored in every nook and cranny — this intimate storage of their immense, historical collection makes you feel like the whiskey is one of your drinking buddies. It’s impossible to miss and sets the tone immediately. The bartenders are second to none. Their deep knowledge of the spirits paired with the ability to guide patrons to try new things was refreshing. 100% recommend, an amazing experience.

My family and I (party of 8!) were visiting Hiroshima and looking for a bar to have a nice drink at. We found Sand Bar on google and decided to give it a try. We’re so glad we found this place. The bartender and his wife were very welcoming to us 8 foreigners. Not only do they have craft cocktails but the bartender explains each ingredient and puts on a show in the process! We had a great experience and would recommend this place for everyone looking for a relaxing and classic bar experience.

A very unexpected positive experience. A very cozy and professional bar setting, peaceful and quiet, run by an endearing couple, perfectly in sync with each other. Come for the magnificent cocktails, made with love and obvious craftmanship, stay for the outgoingness and passion of the owner when he's explaining about whiskey, gin and all other drinks in his possession. Highly recommend this secret place (5F) for winding down.

My wife and I came in on a Monday night. Even though it wasn't busy, the bartender took care of us. He offered us recommendations for all of his drinks, and offered recommendations for local food too! The language barrier (Japanese and English) was easily conquered by Google translate. Drinks were phenomenal, service was excellent. We highly recommend coming here.

「SAND BAR」、素敵なショット・バーがあるとおすすめされ訪れました。会食前のひととき、馴染みのバーのマスターと一緒に味わいました。束の間の会話に合わせた素敵なお酒を振る舞っていただけました。まだ、お酒を飲んでいなかった私達に少し強めもカクテルを・・とても美味しかったです。 更に次は5種類のお酒をブレンドし、クラッシュアイスで締めたカクテル。紅茶の味がするという名前のカクテルでした。 これは強烈、テキーラも入っておりグビグビ飲むと危険な香りのするお酒でしたが、これも美味しかったです。 スタートアップにはちょうどよい心地となりお店を後にしました。大変素敵なお店でまた来てみたいバーです。リピありです。

Amazing! The couple behind the bar was extremely professional, knowledgeable and generally very lovely. Had the best whisky and vodka I've had in my life so far. Amazing to see a true master at work, when making the cocktails. Would return to Hiroshima just to visit here again.

岡山で通っていたバーテンダーの人に紹介してもらいました。以前は岡山でバーをされてたようですが、広島へ引越されて、オープンしたそうです 広島の中洲土壌にちなんでのサンドバーというネーミングです 出てくるカクテルはどれもこれも美味しい。ジントニックも確実に旨い。カクテルも文句なし。スコッチもジャパニーズウィスキーもいいものがあります 初老？の紳士なマスターと落ち着いた素敵な奥さまでされているバーです 今の処、広島のバーではここ一択かな 3杯から4杯飲んで3000円から3500円 ぐらいかな 落ち着いた雰囲気でおすすめです 場所が少しわかりづらいかな。自動ドアはいってエレベーターで上がるという感じです 見つけていってください

Relaxed and comfortable atmosphere. Friendly bartender. Had a lovely time tasting the Original section of the menu and felt my worries gently drift away as time past.

Incredible drinks. Staff were friendly communicating with us through google translate. Intimate space hosting maybe 10-15 people with jazz playing in the background.

Must be the fanciest cocktail bar in hiroshima. Amazing vibes and great drinks. Expensive though.

NBA優勝経験者。当時のカクテルが材料がなくて飲めなくなったのが残念だけど、広島で新たな感覚のカクテルに変わってきてる。フードは提供出来ないそうなので、食事後にゆっくりどうぞ。

ご主人がおいしいお酒と、少しの知識をふるってくださいます。おふたりともとても素敵な方でつい喋りすぎ、長居してしまいます。ここのスカーレットオハラが1番好きです。

문이 좀 바 스럽지 않아서 여기가 맞는가 싶었다. 조용한 분위기, 마스터가 친절히 술에 대해 설명 해 주신다. 오리지널 칵테일이 맛있었다.

カクテルが好きで飲みに来ます。丁寧な接客も心地よく、マスターは日本のバーテンダーの鏡のような方です。お店はとても落ち着いた雰囲気です。
