Can’t even begin to explain my frustration at the Regent location. If I could give a zero star I would. I was in today looking for a concealer that’s been sold out everywhere. I could have bought it for delivery instead but decided to just go in store since I was in the area. I looked online and see that it’s in stock with a “only a few left” on the app. I see that it’s not on the shelf so I asked one of the employees near the front where the Rare Beauty section was. The girl looks at the shelf and says, “no, I don’t think we have any left.” She calls another employee and asks her. They look at each other and mumble to themselves with a, “do we still have this?”. “No, I don’t think we have anymore in stock.” Says the other. One asked over the ear piece and after a few seconds she replies again with a, “no, we don’t have any.” I was frustrated because 1) they didn’t bother looking below where the extra items were and 2) they didn’t even check their phones for inventory. I ended up just walking around looking for other items I had on my list. I was at the Dermalogica section at the back and again, there was a product I was looking for but it wasn’t on the shelf. There was a nice asian girl that helped me out. She ended up finding the item for me below in the drawers. Then I ended up asking her if she could check to see if they had the concealer in stock. She checks her phone and says that there should be one in stock. She heads to the front and lo and behold, within minutes she comes back and also mentions to me that they had two in stock. THEY HAD TWO. She rang me up and I mentioned how much I really appreciated her help because the other two girls didn’t seem to help at all. And probably to save face for her co-workers and the store, she said that it was probably lost and just hard to find. Anyways, I gave a 1 star but only because of the girl that actually went and did the work to check. As oppose to the other two girls that didn’t really do anything. I sadly didn’t get her name but, she was one of the asian girls working today, July 21st around 3:45pm. Thank you to her!
Awful experience at this store - came to the store October 29th to return items I had bought a few ago, to repurchase with the VIB rouge 20% off discount. The lady processing my order charged me for one of the items instead of refunding me - mistakes happen which is fine but it was an inconvenience as the store is 20 mins away. I called the store the next day to explain my situation as I didn’t want any issues getting it rectified as I would not be able to come back to the store right away, I was assured there would be no issues and a note would be put on my file. On October 31st my sister had placed a pickup order under my Sephora account and came to pick up her order. When she came home she realized she was missing one item and tried called calling the store multiple times with no answer. She went back to the store the same evening and the employees said they needed to check the cameras? I’m sorry but why would anyone lie about a $13 pair of lashes. huge inconvenience and waste of time yet again, and quite frankly completely embarrassing for my sister. While my sister was at the store I had asked her to get my issue from Oct 29th rectified as I was told there would be a note on my file so there should be no issues - the associate helping her said I needed to come in with a receipt which is untrue because they would have access to my Sephora beauty account and I ask for all my receipts to be emailed.. after some back and forth she agreed to refund the error made on October 29th. After carefully reading through this stores reviews on google, there seems to be a trend here.. As someone that personally works in retail as well, it’s clear that the staff at this store need more training on customer service. Please do better. Do not recommend this store.
Horrible experience!!! SHOPPERS BEWARE!! I usually go to the polo park location, which I love. I was in the area and decided to go to the regent location. I’ve been researching a bunch of skin care and decided I would go to the store and get what I’ve been wanting. When I walked in there was about 10 people working, standing around chatting amongst themselves. One staff member said hi, I actually felt uncomfortable. I wondered why the store did not have any customers but a bunch of staff.. I was soon to find that out. I went to the ordinary skin care brand where I was looking through everything I had a basket and had a handful of products. This man kept walking down the aisle I was in and staring at me. He asked me if I needed any help with anything two different times. I thought he was the manager at first. I did ask him for help as he was basically following me.. I had a basket full and wanted to look at more items but felt very uncomfortable. It seemed to me like they thought I was going to steal. I went to pay for my items, the lady was rude and cut me off at one point while I was talking. The guy who helped me was standing behind her now with his back towards me. His shirt said LOSS PERVENTION… I DIED.. I could not believe that he was following me around thinking I was going to steal.. no one else even tried to help me. The lady ringing my items threw asked if anyone had helped me, I laughed and said yeah he did. He walked away. It was a disgusting experience.
They have great products, we went on Black Friday. We had just finished buying all of our sons Christmas presents as a single income family. We were unaware that our balance was low and we were unable to check our balance as our phone died, so when we went to pay our card declined, at which point we removed an item yet our card declined again- THEN the man working asked very loudly “does this happen often?” And caused the whole store to stare, embarrassed my husband and made us just overall feel judged. Kind of disgusted by this behaviour and I don’t feel that is something you should ask someone in public or just at all when it is obvious that we were already embarrassed about the declined card in the first place, and while knowing a lot of people struggle financially around the holiday season. Also the fact that people constantly ask if you need help every 2 seconds and follow you around the entire store makes it feel like nobody in the store trusts you, and just causes an all around uncomfortable and anxious feeling, my husband at one point started wondering if it was because he is indigenous… and nobody should be making him feel like that, it’s unprofessional of the employees. Not to mention there are some employees who try to discreetly gossip about customers to their co-workers Gross behaviour. Probably won’t be shopping at this location again which is a shame since all products were in stock unlike other busier locations. Beware of this location!!
I was having a great experience. I found great deals and an employee was helping me out. I saw a tarte hydration gel on sale for such a good price and so I asked the Sephora employee if she could confirm which product goes with the $11 price, and it was indeed the product I wanted(it was also under the gel product). It was such a good deal that I grabbed two. I went to pay and it rang up wrong, ($30 each). I told her that she literally told me it was $11. She asked for help from her co-worker. I showed her the label and told her exactly what the first employee told me. She said that the label is wrong. I asked them if they would honour the price. The manager said, no. I showed him the label and asked him then where is the $11 product? He said he has no idea. I told him then you should probably remove the huge red label as it’s false advertisement. It took him a few minutes before he finally removed the huge $11 label. So it turns out the great deal wasn’t a great deal. I was very unhappy with the service and I just wished that the first employee made sure that the price was correct before falsely confirming it was $11.
Started shopping at this location when I first started because I thought the staff were nice and I liked the selection they had. Although the store is well stocked I have to agree with other reviews in that the customer service is subpar (in comparison to when they first opened). I usually visit sephora at least once every other month and the experience at this store gets worse everytime. Fully expect staff to follow you around but never ask if you need help. Also, don't expect products to be fresh...they have a well stocked store but items are usually expired or smell/feel off. Unfortunately the quality of products and services in sephora are taking a quick dive downwards ..this location (and others) are no exception to my theory...
Worst shopping experience ever. I’ve dropped thousands of dollars at Sephora over the years and the product I use has been discontinued. I asked a staff member for advice on a replacement. They provided me with ONE suggestion and when I didn’t like it and voiced concerns about it, they dismissed me and told me that I was wrong about it. I knew the product was discontinued and wanted help choosing a replacement, but this salesperson refused to suggest anything else because they thought their suggestion was the “best option.” I continued to walk around the store aimlessly as the rest of the staff just chatted amongst themselves. Thanks for nothing?
I did not realize there was a Sephora in Transcona until I was it driving by today. I Popped in to grab a couple goodies and was greeted by a lovely associate (I believe their name was Rae but don't quote me, terrible memory ). Super fabulous person all around, they were very honest about brands, prices, quality, ect.. and had great energy. They helped me find everything I needed quickly and efficiently and were able to throw in a few laughs along the way. I would absolutley shop here again!
I think this has been my best experience at a sephora so far! It was big and organized inside, and had things that I haven't seen at other stores. The employees were super helpful and sweet and made sure customers knew which products were and weren't on sale. I want to shout out employee Meghan, who helped me at the register. She was super sweet and accommodating when I asked to use separate payment methods for certain things. This is my new favourite sephora in the city now!
I have ordered online for the past 3 years due to the pandemic. I was passing this new Sephora store on Regent and thought I would stop in. I purchased over $100.00 on Dae products BASED on samples I had received in my last online purchase. I was given 2 tiny Clarins moisturizer samples which are not relevant to me from this store. I realized it is more advantageous for me to order online (as I can select samples) and skip the instore purchases.
This was my second time visiting store, my first experience was great but i had worst experience, i went to return some product but 2 employees started judging and one Indian employee started following me through store, not sure why she was doing that and it was so uncomfortable for me and my friend. Please provide training to employees on how to treat costumers and make them feel good visiting store.
Absolutely wonderful staff, very clean & organized. Anna was super kind and knowledgeable. She shade matched me for the Kosas revealer concealer (My favourite) and reccomended a primer - The Ordinary High Adherence Silicone Primer which you should try. I feel a warm happy energy while I am there because of the workers. You should not hesitate, just always shop at Sephora!!
Stopped by this location to purchase some foundation and eyeshadow. The staff was so busy chatting amongst themselves, they never even bothered to offer any assistance. Also, the music - at 10 AM, was so loud it made browsing totally uncomfortable. Left without making a purchase.
Had a bad experience with 3 staff members working the register on October 31. They didn’t know what they were doing and processed items/returns on my account which were not mine. Not sure how it happened, but as a result, I lost my rouge status.
So happy they opened a location in this area of the city. It’s cute store. Staff were awesome. Helpful the second you walk in the door and very knowledgeable. Hope this location is around for a long time!!!
Had a great experience in this sephora last weekend. The beauty consult Dima helped to pick up perfume which became my favorite. As well I got some advice about my skin care. Appreciate this experience.
It is so nice to finally have a Sephora in this area. This location is extremely nice inside, and the employees are super helpful. This location is by far the best in Winnipeg
Great. Everything I expected from a Sephora. Friendly employees that can help you on finding your shade, recommended products and they play weezer. 10/10 would go again.
Came in to get a Colour IQ test to find out my shade for foundations and concealers! Shout out to Kristine who helped me, she was so sweet!
So happy there's finally a Sephora on the east end of the city!!! Brand new store, will not dissapoint. Wonderful employee's!
rude staff. they mess up on your order then proceed to gossip about you while you are there. so unprofessional
Friendly staff. Even though it was the grand opening, the staff still were still great and composed.
A young woman helped me can not remember her name ( maybe the manager) she was awesome
Good selection, super friendly staff and plenty of parking.
