My husband Larry and I were married in the wonderful, iconic cathedral church building 35 years ago this coming Sept. 21, 1986. Many friends and relatives were present. Then the fire consumed the building in 1995. We have been "a church without walls" for all these years. Saint Paulus Lutheran Church in San Francisco has always been a "church for all". We have continued serving others during our "wilderness years" and seek justice and equality for all peoples. It does not matter how you look, dress, or even what you believe. We welcome all as we study and worship together even now virtually. We continue seeking God's will and to let the Spirit move us in ways we never imagined. Really kind people, open atmosphere, great musical talent. They care a lot for the city, affordable housing, and so much more. Their Wednesday community nights sound fun. Singers of the Street, a choir which I can detail later, meets here Wednesday mornings and they are Uber accommodating. Check them out and you will find a community that you didn't realize you belong to! Pastor Solberg is amazing .

This is a cozy little church nestled right along Polk Street. The people are exceptionally friendly and welcoming to all, the sanctuary is nicely designed, and there's coffee and donuts available after the service. We visited on vacation, and I'm glad we found this place!
