Not only they have an amazing location in Downtown Ottawa but also, as soon as you step into Salon Rouge you instantly know you’ll have a great experience. The place is beautiful and stylish. The decor makes you feel like you’re in THE right place for your hair. As for the customer service, all the staff is very kind, you’ll feel special and taken care of. Nina coloured, cut and styled my hair. I had a bad experience in the past and my hair vas very just bad, I used to have beautiful curls but they were all gone, my hair felt like paper: dry and damaged, I was ready to give up and go all Britney 2007. Nina is not only a hair therapist , she’s also a hair magician. Since we talked about what I wanted I noticed her expertise and immediately trusted her with my hair. Even before seeing the final result, I felt hope for my hair again. The whole process was very relaxing, you will immediately notice how organized the salon is. They also have a lot of cool devices to help for better results. Nina explained everything to me and walked me through the process step by step. It’s really hard to find someone that understands and knows how to work with curly hair. For all my curly girls struggling right now, Nina is your girl!! (Or whatever hair type, this girl is amazing and can put her magic on ANY hair type). When I saw the final result I could not believe it, I’m still shook because I didn’t thought my hair could look this good again. I felt pretty before leaving Salon Rouge and now that I’m home without the face mask, I can’t stop looking at myself , Nina definitely brought back good hair days. I left Salon Rouge with amazing products that are the same that Nina used on me, she explained me how to use the products and I’m already exited to go back and continue my hair process with her. Thank you Nina for your time and patience, you made a huge difference and I really appreciated your good energy!!!

I came to Ottawa from out of town and was desperate to get my hair done. I frantically requested an appointment through Salon Rouge’s website at around midnight on Thursday night. The next morning before the salon even officially opened, Amir called me and we discussed the current state of my hair and my goals. He agreed to take me on and told me to come in ASAP. I was in the salon chair by 10:30 on Friday morning!! My hair required a LOT of work and I knew that, so I knew not to expect to get exactly what I wished. But Amir completely changed my perspective on hair and hair salons!! I ended up doing two sessions in one day with the amazing Danielle who did a phenomenal job on my hair. Amir was so thorough in explaining and teaching me the after-care for my hair especially after we put it through so much. He taught me a lot about hair in general and cleared the misconceptions of lightening Indigenous hair. I never got the blonde I wanted at any other salons because I was always told that it was impossible. I had even gotten lighter fusion hair extensions a while back (as suggested by my old hairstylist) just because I was desperate to get the blonde that I wanted. I was at the salon from 10:30 AM to 5 PM and the staff were so lovely — they made sure that I was hydrated and even charged my phone for me when I needed it. After the staff went home for the day, Amir stayed back with me to ensure that I got what I wanted. He even went to the next step and helped me completely switch out all of my hair care products. I love this place and I cannot thank Amir and his team enough.

EDIT: It’s VERY clear that what I wanted and what I ended up with have no resemblance whatsoever in terms of colour and style; the salon couldn’t even acknowledge this fact. The hairstylist couldn’t be bothered to answer my messages asking for a correction. Went elsewhere and got to the colour I wanted in one session without compromising the integrity of my hair. ————— A hairstylist in-training posted an ad needing hair models so I reached out since I was going to get my hair done soon anyway. The 2nd photo is one of the reference pics I showed, and she said she was fully capable of giving me what I wanted. The 1st photo is what I ended up with; needless to say, my friends couldn't even tell that I had done anything to it. I had asked for a ombre balayage but it looks more like streaky brass highlights all the way through. Before we started she mentioned I wouldn't get as light as in the picture, but assured me that I would still get to BLONDE. I am fully aware that going from black to blonde requires multiple sessions, but the hairstylist was confident that she could pull it off instead of telling me to choose something more feasible, so I trusted her. TLDR; both the style and colour had no resemblance to what I had asked for, will be going elsewhere to get it fixed.

I went to this salon a few years ago and was happy with my experience. I recently went back and could not believe how different the salon was. I had a terrible experience. I went in wanting my hair to look like the lighter two pictures, and after 2 appointments, and $737 later... my hair looks NOTHING like what I wanted. Now I am left feeling ripped off and like I was harassed into spending way more money than any of this should have cost. At the end of my second appointment I was informed that by summer I could achieve what I was looking for. They were expecting me to continue to waste 300 every few weeks to MAYBE achieve what I wanted by the summer. Unless you have money to throw away, DO NOT go to this salon. Even if you look up the prices in their website, you will spend much more than that, and every extra possible will be squeezed in to make your final bill as high as possible. My first appointment when I booked it I said I just wanted my hair coloured and nothing else. Well I got a lovely surprise of a bill over 400 and many extras were done to get it to that price after I had asked not to have any extras. This happened again at my second appointment as well. I will not be returning to this salon.

After seeing the incredible work Salon Rouge had been doing on my close friends hair for a long time, I decided it was finally time to book an appointment and have my hair done. When I first went on their website, I was instantly chatting with Erica on their live chat feature who delightfully took care of me and made booking my appointment effortless and informative. When I first walked in to the salon I was not only greeted by a cheerful receptionist but my color specialist and hair stylist were actually there for my arrival with eager and excited faces to hear my ideas and sit down to talk to me about exactly what I wanted. Naturally, I was nervous at first but I honestly can not believe how blown away I am with my beautiful highlights and the most amazing a-line haircut I've ever seen. I will absolutely be recommending Salon Rouge to everyone and anyone I know. Before leaving, Erica booked my next appointment for me and I am so excited to go back in 8 weeks to see my amazing hair team!

I have been going to this salon for the past 4 years. I have always been treated very well. I am a brunette that went blonde a couple of years ago. It took a couple of session but I look perfect and exactly how I wish everytime I go in. I won’t deny it is a bit pricey,but you get what you pay for and even more. Amir is very dear to me as a hairstylist and as a person. He treats his employees and customers with care and respect. His whole team is amazing! They all fit in together so well,and the atmosphere is great. They all respect each other and work well as a team. In the many times I have been there I don’t think I ever seen anyone complaining about their service,I personally like seeing how they work and how other customers turn out in the end. It s beautiful to see the final result. They ask you what you want,they explain to you if it can be done or not and what that implies! Overall I am very devoted as a customer and will always be as long as Salon Rouge is there!

It was my birthday and I was made to feel like a queen for a day! I had received the utmost professional and warmest service by all 3 individuals that were involved in transforming my hair from long, black hair, to short, bob cut with highlights and color.. Watching them manage this Salon during the pandemic is very comforting knowing they have our health and safety as the top priority! So very professional and very impressive.....like a well oiled machine! It took this unbelievable team 6 hours to complete the transformation. And I was enthusiastically pleased with my results. The feel, the cut, the color is beautiful. Money (and time!) extremely well spent. THANK YOU SO MUCH Amir, Kari and Danielle for your wonderful work! You all ROCK! Until next time!

I had an absolutely incredible experience at Salon Rouge! I went in for a balayage and a cut, and could not have asked for better service. From our first consult, Amir was professional, and set expectations that were realistic for my hair type. All of the staff were courteous and knowledgeable, and very clear in their communication so I always knew what was being done at each step along the way and why certain techniques were being used. Amir made me feel like the most important person in the room despite their being several other clients in the salon, checking in at every step and providing gentle coaching to his staff for the best results possible. I was also very impressed with his level of care, always asking if I was comfortable, if the water was a good temperature for me, etc. I would absolutely recommend Salon Rouge for anyone looking for services from just a cut to more complex colour. I will definitely be coming back!

The service was incredible. I received a BEAUTIFUL colour, trim, toner, blow dry, style etc. Nina was amazing, she payed attention to even the finest detail. She made sure I was aware of what she was doing and Amir gave his best suggestions on my hair (colour, cut etc). The service was exceptionally professional and not rushed. After I received all the services for my hair, they helped me plan a day that worked with my busy schedule to come back and do another hair treatment. They recommended the best products to take care of my hair and these products are SERIOUSLY the BEST products. I was in shock with my results and cried tears of joy. Thank you Nina and Amir. I arrived at Salon Rouge on the early side. That's just my way. I did ultimately wait beyond the time set for my appointment. For me, Jane is a new unknown hair stylist. Jane greeted me very courteously. I waited for Jane to finish with her current client. I watched and listened to the pleasant exchange. Though I waited the little annoyance I felt soon faded because I liked what I saw and what I heard: the fact she was not rushing to be finished with the client she was attending to I interpreted as a good sign. When it came my turn, I did not watch the clock but I am satisfied Jane took the necessary time with me as well. And perhaps more importantly, I'm very pleased with results. I'll be back! Really amazing team, I went in with rough hair from cutting and colouring it myself during quarantine. With the amazing team of stylist I left with hair great enough to think "lock down who?" Brad Mondo would be complimenting the transformation. The salon took the safety of the staff and clients very seriously during the process. Upon arrival my temperature was taken and during the appointment everyone was appropriately social distancing, which I can only imagine how hard it is to do when your job requires you to get up close and personal with peoples heads. The products recommended for me are working wonders on restoring my hair that fell victim to a couple boredom induced at home bleaching sessions. Over all the experience was great, it was worth getting out of pajamas, putting on a mask, and leaving the house for.

It was great! My hair was really poorly done at my old salon and I went into salon rouge and they completely fixed it and made it 100% better than it’s ever been! They were super honest and upfront about the entire hair colouring and bleaching. They were also super nice and welcoming! I completely trusted them and they did not disappoint! They also gave me numerous hair tips and tricks for maintenance and they definitely know what they are talking about. It’s been a few weeks since I’ve had my hair done and it’s never been this nice at this point in time after I got my hair bleached and dyed to a light gray/blonde. To be completely candid, it did cost a lot but it’s for sure worth it and I’d easily do it again. They exceeded all my expectations!! I felt really happy and taken care of after the appointment!

I had an absolutely fantastic experience at Salon rouge, every single person I interacted with was friendly and polite making my appointment one I will definitely be doing with them again. I’ve already pre-booked my next appointment and put my full confidence in the abilities of their staff. I want to especially thank my hair stylist, Brigette who did an incredible job and left me very very happy with my hair. I put my trust into her and her experience as a hair dresser to do what she felt would be good for my very bleached and damaged hair and I left with remarkably healthy, even and glossy hair. Absolutely amazing hair salon in Ottawa! I have been going to Bridgitte for quite some time now and every time she does an amazing job and I am always thrilled with the results. She also takes the time to go-over and explain everything with me, which I really appreciate since highlights and colouring can sometimes get misconstrued in communication if the stylist does not confirm. She is by-far my favourite hair stylist I have ever seen, and speak very highly of her. I have also seen Hidi as my colourist and she also has done a great job as well. The prices are very good for how much they do, and they always offer discounts which is nice. During COVID, they have maintained a clean, and socially-distanced salon which I am very happy about. Overall, amazing salon and I would recommend it to anyone!

I came in today to speak with the owner Amir about my hair problem and what hair product i needed!! All that staff was so nice and welcoming when enter the salon. Amir was so gracefully and so nice that he truly wanted to help me. He took me in for a wash abd blow dry and truly help understand what was the problem with my hair. Now i have a better notion of how i should use and proceed. He guide me very well. It was so frustrated and tired with my hair and with the products i was using. I was desperate need of help. I walked in with hair. Walked out with green, grey and burnt hair. The owner had the audacity to say it looked good! If I wasn't so embarrased I would post pic's. The only thing that I can say that he did that was good was not charge me.and that he did offer for me to come back 4 days later to have it fixed! A month later and I still cant style my hair. Update: You guys are a waste of space replying with that response..... picture of me being posted i coming shortly. And email confirmation. Also I blured out my face because I was crying so much about now short burnt and green and grey hair. And please dont bother with a response cause I have a video of my son walking in and out of the back door with him and my sister walking in and out patiently waiting for you guys to finish.

I had my hair cut yesterday and it was wonderful. The salon was great about COVID precautions, including wearing masks, enforcing distance between clients, and making sure clients were healthy when they came in. So important with a service that relies on close contact! Jane was so sweet, professional and patient. She gave me exactly what I asked for and I honestly haven't loved a haircut so much in a long time. As someone with very thick hair, I really appreciated that she thinned it out thoroughly and took her time to do it well--in the past I have had other stylists from other salons rush through this part, because I know it is very time consuming. From the moment I walked into Salon Rouge I felt welcome, comfortable and heard. Danielle listened to my preferences, and knew exactly what I was looking for. The girls who shampooed and toned my hair were lovely and the cappuccino was an extra touch! Amir finished the appointment with a great cut and advice on how to maintain the health and growth of my hair. I went to Amir and his team after a very unfortunate experience at a high end downtown Ottawa salon that not only cost me hundreds, but it took almost a year for my hair to be ready for any processing. I was hesitant, but they went above and beyond to ensure I was pleased with the outcome. I’ve booked my next appointment and look forward to seeing them all again!!!

I had been looking for a salon that would help me go from brunette to blonde and Salon Rouge was the only place that could help me! They were so amazing from start to finish beginning with a hair consultation where they told me about how they could do two sets of highlights in one day along with a treatment to protect my hair from damage all the way through a 5 hour appointment to achieve exactly what I asked for. The customer service is the best I have ever had and I felt very welcome while I was there. Everyone at the salon knew what they were doing and I have never been so happy with my hair. Got the best haircut and hair colour I’ve ever had with Salon Rouge. I went to ottawa for a short vacation and decided to get a new hair colour. They booked me at a very short notice :). Amir is the one who did my hair and he is amazing, he knows exactly what he’s doing. I have thick dark hair and it’s not that easy to manage. He gave it a super cool red balayage colour and thinned it well to give the perfect texture. Trust me you won’t be disappointed by this salon. Funny thing, he was more excited to colour my hair than I was. I wasn’t sure at the moment how it’ll look on me. But the results just blew my mind. I love this new colour on me-and so I got so many compliments too. Highly recommend this place ☺️

I had my hair lightened here 2 years ago and no where else has been able to match the quality and service since. I went back a few days ago after having butchered my hair during COVID and I walked out feeling stunning and SUPER happy with the results! I have pretty thick curly/wavy hair and I find a lot of salons don't understand how to cut it/style it but the kind lady who did my hair knew exactly what she was doing. She was fantastic, I felt like I was in good hands. Very clean, no judgement, excellent service, completely worth the price in my opinion. Highly recommend this salon! I had my first appointment last Saturday and was so happy with the service, I definitely will be back! Danielle is a very talented colourist and stylist. She took the time to correct my colour ( which now looks natural and shiny), and gave me a fresh new cut and style. I left feeling wonderful...a much needed boost during this pandemic! And I was also very impressed with the salon as a whole. It was very clean and it was clear that they were very attentive to the Covid protocols. Everyone was wearing masks, gloves, and there was hand sanitizer at every station. I have already recommended Salon Rouge to my friends at work! Fantastic service and friendly staff!

My first impression was not as good as I thought it would have been. When I showed what I wanted I was told, “not happening” I swallowed this response and allowed them to do what they felt was best for my hair. The colour is nice however, for what I got which was basically highlights trim and style. It was WAY overpriced! My piece of advice would be, treat your customers with respect, listen to their needs. And if you are unable to do what they ask, for whatever reason give an explanation as to why, don’t wait until after the hair is done. Danielle was amazing and very personable. Went there 2 days ago for a balayage. It was amazingly done but, wasn't what I was expecting so, I went back in the salon the same day so that they could fix it a bit. They didn't create a fuss about me coming back and were pretty friendly. The owner was also really nice to me and was making sure multiple times that I was satisfied with what I got dome Today, I have to go back as my hair colour looks still a bit light to my taste and the amazing colorist, Laura has happily accepted to fix it for me. After seeing so many reviews, I went in for the first time for a haircut and haircolour and I was not satisfied with both the services. The photo which I showed them was completely different than what I got and they convinced me saying both are same. They did redo the colour when I said I did not like it which is much appreciated but not happy with the overall experience as that’s the not the colour I wanted The hair cut was average, I asked for a layers and I couldn’t see any layers visibly but Jane was sweet and kind The overall experience was average and felt little pricey for the service I received

I absolutely hated the experience, however my hair color turned out pretty good but I didn't get the hair cut I wanted. The owner Amir is impatient and is not listening the the customers. I have to agree with a review below: He touches your hair without asking for your consent. When he was blow drying my hair he asked me to bend forward, tilting my hair down which was super uncomfortable and awkward. The experience was awful and cost me over $400 - the staff is not talking to each other, they whisper in each other's ears all the time and Amir is glancing at everybody suspiciously. Would not recommend.

It was my first time getting my hair coloured and I’m glad I went here. The service was very great! And Jane is wonderful and a total professional. I have curly hair with breakage issues and she took such good care and helped me choose the right shade. The only suggestion I would like to make is I would like it if I knew what brand products were being used just for consumer awareness, besides that I feel I would highly recommend this place to others. Price wise also it’s reasonable. I’m leaving this review after a month of my experience and my hair feels great after colouring my hair purple :)

I went here for the first time last night. I previously had an awful experience at another salon in Ottawa and was very nervous about trying someone new. I was matched with Jane and she was so sweet and reassuring. She went slow with me during my consultation to make sure that I was comfortable with everything moving forward. Jane was focused and very customer oriented. On top of that, she is so sweet and very hard working. Any time she wasn't busy with hair, she was greeting people at the door and answering the phone. I can't wait to go back to her for any of my hair needs.

Amazing experience I went here on my birthday to fix what a previous salon had done. I always felt uncomfortable at salons but I felt very comfortable here. They fixed my hair, absolutely amazing amazing job, this is my forever go to Salon, thank you for making me feel beautiful. I went with a dark purple balyage, before I had this brassy weird two toned hair that used horrible cheap hair dye, I was mortified showing anyone else but they made me feel comfortable,I laughed, I had a wonderful time i went in with no knowledge, left with gorgeous hair and amazing products

This place is very expensive and provides a terrible job. First, I show pictures of the color that I wanted. The manager/owner said that he had it. Once my hair was bleached he said that he did not have that color that I wanted. I had to choice another different color. Second, once they finished dying my hair they did not clean my neck, forehead and ears. My skin was covered on dye. Third, the haircut was uneven. I had to go to another place so they can fix it. At the end all the services were very expensive and were not done properly. I will never go there again.

I can finally say I found a hair dresser who I can stay loyal to !! I was very hesitant and scared at first to try a new salon in Ottawa but this place made me feel comfortable and Jane is amazing at her job! She was so patient working with me, I have A LOT of hair (thick Indian hair) she really took her time to listen to what I want and gave me a lot of highlights and made me go more blonde from dark roots! The price was also reasonable! I will definitely recommend others to try this salon! I'm glad I won't need to go to Montreal to get my hair done anymore :)

I’ve been to over 6 hair salons in the one year that I’ve been in Ottawa and I can easily say that this was the best hair salon I’ve been to. Everyone is so incredibly sweet, the prices are super reasonable and the place is really clean. The lovely lady that did my hair was named Danielle and she was so patient with me. She listened to every detail I gave, explained what she was doing every step of the way and cut my hair exactly how I wanted it. You won’t regret going here and this is coming from a person who’s super picky about her hair!

I have been going to Raphaelle since I moved to Ottawa and she has been the best thing that happened to my hair. This place always offers you anything to drink and wants you to be happy and taken care of. Although I do love the atmosphere and service in the place I will follow my stylist if she ever decided to leave. My family has had other stylists and have been very happy with the results. The dye jobs are also great Angela knows what shes doing!!! I would and do recommend this salon time and time again. Great student discounts as well!

I had balayage done by Jane. I think it’s very important that I first mention that she did a FANTASTIC job. I’m so in love with it. Before starting she had me show her the kind of look I was going for and she advised me on what she thought would look best based on my skin tone and other factors. She really took the time to make sure I would be satisfied in the end. The colour and placement of the highlights look amazing - I couldn’t be more pleased. I will certainly be returning to her for future appointments! A talented stylist for sure.

Amir and Danielle did a FANTASTIC job on my hair! This was my first time at the salon and there is no question that i will be returning! They were extremely professional and gave me great advice as well on my hair care! Amir (salon owner) is by far one of the hardest working individuals i've met and after speaking to him during my service it is easy to tell just how much he loves his job. I have curly hair and was very nervous about getting it cut. After 3 years of dead ends I decided it was time to get my hair cut. I heard good reviews about this salon so I figured I would give it a try. The ladies there were very nice, and the atmosphere was very welcoming. Chantal did my colouring and gave me a great colour that I find very flattering. Danielle gave me a gorgeous cut that looks fantastic straight and curly. All in all I had a great experience and will be returning for follow ups.

I had another exceptional experience at Salon Rouge. The client service there is top notch. They are very focused on pleasing the client and they do so with great friendly service and experienced knowledgable stylists. In particular, Brigette is an excellent stylist who knows just what to do and how to cut and style my curly hair. I am always so happy with the quality and up to date style I receive. I would highly recommend a visit to the salon for anyone looking for a quality cut or colour.

We have moved recently from Toronto to Ottawa. I have searched for a hair salon that would cater for my hair needs and I decided on Salon Rouge. I was very impressed with Amir listening ability to interpret clients' requests • and work quickly and accurately with his hands. Amir is highly professional and talented with great artistic sense. I was equally impressed with the Ladies working there: Danielle and Nina. I am very happy with the service I got and Salon Rouge is my hair salon to go.

Today was my first time going here! My stylist was Jane, she was super sweet and really took the time to listen/talk about exactly what I wanted done with my hair. She took her time, paid attention to detail and it came out even better than what I was expecting, she did a fantastic job!! Jane also gave me lots of advice on how to take care of my hair! I had an amazing experience at this hair salon. I went in for highlights and Nina did an outstanding job. She was super professional and very kind and sweet. The atmosphere is really great, all the staff are super friendly and knowledgeable. My whole experience was wonderful. I had recently had a bad haircut at another salon and Amir and his team were able to fit me in really short notice. My hair was completely lopsided and uneven but after speaking with the hairstylists at rouge they empathized with me before telling me they could salvage my hair. They were upfront with me the entire way and even helped choose hair coloring best suited to me. Amir and his team are wonderful and I'll definitely be going back!

Had a Botox hair treatment on Friday. Amir was GREAT, he listened to my Hair complaints and provided a solution that I am absolutely loving. My hair looks great! He did such an amazing job and he was very accommodating with my time! Haven’t had much luck with hairdressers in Ottawa but now they have a life time customer! I would not trust anyone else with my hair! It was a bit expensive, but the treatment I got is not cheap. You get what you paid for. And I got greatness!

I really enjoyed my experience with Nina at the Salon, She was polite, friendly and listened and answered all my questions. I had not been in a salon in so long, and I don’t trust many people with my hair. I will definitely be going back ! My hair was cut a little shorter then I wanted to have but the color is amazing and I known she had to cut them as my hair are shaped like a weird triangle so nothing was even before the cut . I can’t wait to visit the salon again ! :)

I had my hair toned and treated here on Friday, Nov 5, 2021. I must say, my hair was really dry and lacks moisture, the color was brassy and just overall, I felt hopeless. Coming in, the atmosphere was very friendly and welcoming. Amir's niece did my hair and was just SUPER fun to be around and talk to. I left there with my hair feeling so soft and so shiny and the toner used matched my hair well. THANK YOU THANK YOU! I finally found MY hair person here in Ottawa.

I just came out of this salon and I have to admit that it's the best salon that I have visited ever, even compare with those in my hometown. Laura was my colorist, she did a perfect job, produced a lot of beautiful textures on my hair. In addition, she's a beauty. My stylist was Farhad he's really good at handling female short hair, short but feminine. They are really nice people, the service they provided totally worth the price, if only I can give 10 stars.

This was my first haircut in a long time (since before covid), as well as my first time at the salon. Jane was fantastic to deal with and listened to me and what I was looking for. She was also great to talk to and explained exactly what she was doing before/while doing it. The salon is very well kept and organized as far as product and hair goes. All that to say, I am super happy with my hair and will be coming back in the future to get my hair done here!

Terrible!!!! Charged me so much for services I didn't even request to be done. Then, the products I purchased have tarnished my hair completely. It is incredibly frizzy and dry after using the products given. I would never go here again. Creepy old man who did my hair kept saying he had to "feel it" over the phone and made me nervous. Unprofessional and disgusting. My friend tested the shampoo and conditioner given and the same results were yielded.

THIS IS HANDS DOWN THE BEST SALON EXPERIENCE I HAVE EVER HAD. Amir is so patient and so good with his work. I was super-late for my appointment but it was my birthday, Amir was very courteous to make arrangements and take time out for me to make my day. I love my new hair color and most importantly my new haircut/hairstyle. I have long, thick hair and never ever left a salon before feeling “my hair looks great”!! Thanks Amir for making that happen.

Amir and Angela do an amazing job with my blonde, curly hair. It looks and feels fabulous. I get compliments on my hair which truly lifts my spirits as before finding Salon Rouge I spent years and plenty of money on products trying to make my hair look better. Nothing was going to mask poorly coloured and styled hair. Now it's done properly from a top notch team who truly are knowledgeable and talented. It's comforting to be in capable hands.

Great salon, would 100% recommend. They managed to squeeze me in last minute on a Saturday and I received wonderful service. The colour was excellent, especially since they were trying to match old colour from a different salon. Amir provided excellent advice on cut and colour follow-up, considering I had just walked in I was treated as if I had been a regular for years. If you're looking for a new stylist, this is a great place to start.

Emailed the salon last week to try to find an appointment for my 12 year old daughter, who thought it would be easy to cut her own bangs. We were able to get an appointment for Saturday money. My daughter had her hair washed, cut, her curtain bangs fixed, and then styled. Jane was the best!! She was so kind and explained everything. I will be going back for my own hair. I highly recommend. My daughters hair looks amazing!

I was looking for a new stylist and many of my friends had recommended that I try Salon Rouge, and I’m glad I did. The staff were polite and friendly. I wasn’t too sure which hairstyle would look best with my features. During a consultation with Amir, he suggested what would look best and I’m glad I listened to him because he did an amazing job. I highly recommend this salon to anyone who hasn’t tried it yet!

Had the absolute best experience at Salon Rouge! The entire team is super friendly and professional. I had cut and coloured my own hair during the pandemic and it looked horrible so I booked for highlights and a cut and my hair now looks incredible! I am so extremely happy with it and I’ve gotten so many complements on it! Booked my next appointment in 3 months and I can not wait to go back!!

I have been going to this salon for nearly three years, and highly recommend Bridgett. She is very skilled, professional and pleasant to work with. She is receptive to feedback, and offers her professional opinions without being pushy. I have never had a bad haircut or color with her. Reception is helpful and professional. Scheduling appointments is easy through the website or by phone.

Nina is the best!!!! Huuuuge thank you to Nina Berry for doing my hair today! She’s professional, trust worthy and always listens to clients. She respected the fact that I love my long hair, so we agreed to give it a trim! She made sure every cut was first approved by me. She revived my wavy pattern and gave my the blue-black shade I love so much! She’s located downtown at SalonRouge!

I've come here twice and am planning a third visit. First time, my hairdresser (forgot her name, but she was lovely) did a balayage on my hair and it was fantastic. That was in April or May, and I still get compliments on it. The second time I went, Brittani gave me a great haircut and blowout. The service both times was great and I've recommended the salon to a number of friends.

I enthusiastically recommend Salon Rouge. It’s easy to make appointments, even on short notice. The staff is always friendly. The salon is clean and modern. They use top-of-the-line products. I have had my hair coloured, cut and styled by Brigitte three times. She is fantastic. She always respects what I want, but also has terrific and professional recommendations. She’s a gem!

I went to Salon Rouge after being very disappointed with a previous hair salon. I got highlights that damaged my hair and the staff at Salon Rouge completely fixed it. They were very nice and reassuring during the whole process. They made sure to remove my previous color that I wasn't satisfied with without damaging my hair anymore. would definitely recommend !

I always love my hair after coming to salon rouge! Bridgette always does my hair exactly how I want it, she’s amazing! Everyone is extremely nice and I feel very safe getting my hair done here during the pandemic. I am new to Ottawa and I walk by Salon Rouge on my way to work everyday. I decided to make an appointment to get some colour and a cut. Angela and Mario were great. My colour turned out exactly how I wanted and the cut was amazing. I've been to a lot of salons and this one is really good. Great cappuccino too. Booked another appointment for 6 weeks!!

I had a hair appointment with Danielle today and it was the perfect experience! She is very friendly and took time to look at my inspiration hairstyle (pictures) and my hair colour turned out EXACTLY like the photo! She is also very knowledgeable in hair care and different kind of hair colour techniques- so happy I found my new stylist!

I had such a great experience with Nina! She was friendly, professional, and informative. She taught me about what ingredients would be good for my hair, and was completely open to questions. The Balayage and Highlights with shadow roots service I received was fantastic; I am so happy with the results and will definitely be returning.

I asked for brown hair with caramel highlights. They went beyond my expectations and I’m so glad I went there! Service was amazing! I had my own little slippers and my own robe to be comfortable. They are a great team and they will for sure tell you what’s best for you to look amazing. Trust them! I will for sure be returning.

Pleasantly greeted every time I walk through the door and told where to leave my stuff by the friendly receptionists. Have had haircuts from 3 different stylists who all did a great job and knew what they were doing. All the stuff respond well to what you want and give feedback and advice when necessary. Overall great place.

Jane cuts with care and precision, but is also efficient and doesn’t take unnecessary time. Her cuts are beautiful and she knows hair. Has great ideas to make the style even better too. Personally I also like that she’s very friendly but could tell that I like to relax and not make small talk. Ten stars!

Jane did my hair today and wow did she do an amazing job. I went from very long hair to a bob with a reverse balayage and she gave me the best hair cut/dye I have ever received (and I have received a lot!). Everything from the atmosphere to the way Salon Rouge treats their clients was incredible!

I had a haircut at Salon Rouge today (Oct 7) and it was excellent! They had good COVID-19 protocols in place, they started my appointment on time, and I got a great cut for great value. Their prices are way better than other salons with comparable quality. Ask to see Bridgette, she was great!

The male stylist is very aggressive for no reason. Felt like he was trying to fight me and I was literally just sitting like a little baby duck, being verbally punched. Dipped, ignored phone calls, never returning. Absolutely not handing this place a dime.

I recently had my hair coloured by Danielle and she was amazing. After my balayage was done I said I wanted more foils and she said I could come back in to have them done. She was really patient and I love how it turned out! Definitely recommend her
