We had a great first experience a year ago with Salt City, so we came back when needing some fixes around our new home. We are now very disappointed, and will not use them again. On the quote process, they told us we needed a new water heater. Over 1K in price. Then we remembered we had a new home warranty, and called them. They came out, and fixed the water heater in less than 10 minutes. We didn't need to replace it. It just needed a reboot. They tried to rip us off. Also during the the quote process, they said they wouldn't charge us for the labor of the 2 toilets we needed installing, since they would be here anyways, and we provided the toilets. Once we cancelled the water heater replacement, they came out, still fixed 2 other issues, but now charged us for the toilets, even though they were still technically already out here for the laundry room heat fix and water pressure fix they also had to do. They took their offer away from us, since we cancelled their mistake. Thats fine. But while out here, the guys went to replace the toilets with the new ones. When one was broken from the box, I told them, and then my husband did too -"Please just put the old toilet on there until we can get a replacement". Instead, they threw out the working old toilet, ignored us, and at the end had to go buy another one, since they didn't listen to me or my husbands request. It was a smile and nod action, and they just didn't listen. I also asked 2 times for an itemized quote, and no responses emails. Everything else was done well, but I just will never trust them again.

I highly recommend Salt Lake City Plumbing. When contacted, they were very upfront about their policies regarding not giving estimates or information out prior to coming out to lay their eyes on the actual issue, which could turn some people away, due to fear of cost or their bluntness, but you will be EXTREMELY pleased with their thoroughness, completed work and pricing, if you allow them to come out and diagnose and fix your plumbing issue. My technician, Jaden Munoz, gave ample notice prior to arrival and arrived on the earlier side of the allotted time-frame. He was friendly, engaging, professional, courteous and extremely knowledgeable. He went the extra mile to review my entire hot water system and not just the issue I pointed out to him. He was non-judgmental and open to explaining terminology or work to be performed when I had any questions. Once work was authorized, he was actively working and efficient the entire time. He left a clean work space and made sure to explain all finished work prior to payment. He went above and beyond to give me advice and quotes on anything he may have found that may arise at a later date without salesman pressure of any kind. The pricing was reasonable and quick to process on the spot. I would highly recommend SLC plumbing and Jaden M. to anyone looking for fast, friendly, thorough and cost-effective service.

Can't say enough about what a great job Payton did for us!! I had previously had at least 4-5 other plumbers take a look at the problem, and the estimates went from ripping out my basement ceiling and almost $7000, to simply replacing piping to my kitchen sink (almost $5000)!! Payton came up with an entirely different approach! He finished the work in a couple of hours, tearing out nothing, and the final bill was less than $2500!! He finished replacing some valves and a faulty faucet, and installed a carbon filter at the hot water heater quickly, and was done!! Everything works perfectly, and I can't say enough about him personally. He was awesome! I won't be going anywhere else for plumbing problems in the future!! Salt City Plumbing offers excellent, professional service at a fair price compared to other local plumbing businesses I've worked with in the past. Peyton was very helpful explaining what my home needed, and how the process would work, and took a lot of the grief out of it for me. He coordinated a new liner for my 1901 sugarhouse bungalow's sewer pipe, as well as a full sewer stack replacement inside, and the price came out a significant amount less than competitor quotes, with friendlier service and quality work. In addition, Dallas made his way through an epic snow storm to get my stack replaced and did it very quickly and expertly with the help of an assistant. I was pleased with how easy it was to work with Salt City Plumbing across the board, and will continue to work with them for any future needs.

Absolutely amazing! Peyton came to our home and knew the problem with our kitchen sink immediately. He was able to teach me about the how the hard water had damaged our kitchen faucet and we needed a replacement. Then he took it a step further and helped me understand I need more salt to help the hard water. He was quick and efficient and very honest! He told me all the options I had including the most cost effective and the one that will last longest. He told me costs and then after I decided what I wanted he went immediately and got a new kitchen sink faucet for me and installed it. I am very impressed. Highly recommend, and we are thrilled with the outcome of the huge job we needed to have done! We had to replace our supply line from the street after it burst and nearly all of the plumbing inside the house due to corrosion of the old galvanized pipes. We also replaced our water heater with a tankless system. Hank did an amazing job explaining everything and installing the entire system in quick order. Fast and efficient but, expensive for sure. Only had the tech do 1 of 3 onsite jobs. He didn’t try to negotiate and was happy to do just the 1 job. You would think once at a location the company would work to get all the business but, that wasn’t the case here. So I’ve called another company to complete what is needed.
