A magnificent shop! Best selection of fish in Cape Town. Best service ever! Extremely knowledgeable. Was told by other pet shop I can collect my fish today having treated water for 24 hours. These guys took time to determine what I had bought and recommended the right stuff and waiting 5 days before buying fish. Don't waste your time and money on other aquatic shops. Well done guys! You deserve to be successful in your beautiful shop.

I have bought fish, plants and aquarium equipment from Sam's. The staff are incredibly helpful and knowledgeable, and the fish and plants I have received are always healthy and happy. Their prices are a bit steeper than you would expect, but you definitely get your money's worth. I would recommend Sam's Aquarium to all fish enthusiasts, from beginners to experienced aquarists.

Great selection of fish and accessories for any type of tank setup you may want. Prices are a little higher than most pet shops, but the quality of what they sell you is in line with what you pay. Never in 10 years had a problem with fish being sick or dying from Sam's. They also give great advice and are extremely helpful regardless of if you're a beginner or seasoned pro.

Sam's Aquarium is the best stocked store I've been to in CPT. His staff are also well educated and helpful. I have purchased all my fish from him and they're happy and healthy. My favourite part about the store is the huge range of live plants. Alot of international brands are available as well and at great prices. I keep going back here because of such great service!

What an amazing shop and staff. I took my 5 year old grandson who was so excited about buying his first koi. The questions he asked where answered with such patient's. They helping me with buying the correct koi food and I will always support them even though they are a bit further for me to drive to. Well done guys.

I went with a friend who got some fish for his 10 year old, and I waited in the car. my friend is a great business person, so I trust his opinion when it comes to businesses and how its run. when he got in the car, he said " now thats a proper business, well stocks and professional service"

Easier access compared to their previous spot, very different from what you've come to know and love about the original Sams Aquarium (emphasison the Aquarium part), it's now just a super well stocked and equipped fish store . No doubt,it is still the mecca for all things fish/tank related.

I was referred, I won’t go anywhere else for advice, amazing staff and I was in a panic, and my aquarium was sorted with a smile, I got home and followed instructions and my tank is beautiful, thank you guys! I love my fish and love that you can teach me what is best for them

This is hands down the best place to go for all your fish keeping and aquarium needs. It is well stocked, the prices are fair, the staff are friendly, helpful and have expert advice. Sam’s has been family owned for decades and is an institution in the Western Cape!

Knowledgable, yes. Helpful, yes. However, I have spent a lot of money on fish and plants, and everything keeps dying. It is heartbreaking (especially seeing as my water tests all come back as 100%!) Unfortunately, Sams has lost me as a customer.

I have been going to Sam's since I was a kid well over 30 years. Probably one of the best places to get equipment and advice anywhere in Cape Town. Friendly, knowledgeable and a wide variety of equipment, fish and plants.
