"Impressive new developments"
My 1st experience on the Gautrain and Sandton station was pleasant. People were friendly and helpful and showed me what to do, where to go. The station in clean and organized, well sign posted and the train was spot on time. Boarding was rather quick and we set off on time to the next station. Overall a good experience.
Oh my Gosh the level of great service, the Gautrain has a beautiful system, great staff. I had a smooth journey to #SandtonCity. I have my own card now, and everytime I travel to Sandton and Pretoria I'll start using it, it cost me R60 to go to Sandton ~ great great great service thank u …
The Gautrain is an extremely convenient mode of transport however there is an issue with the stench at the taxi rank. It seems to me that the garbage disposal is right by the taxi rank which is completely unhygienic. It is difficult to even breathe whilst waiting for a taxi. This is appalling.
A month ago I lost my side bag in a train from Hatfield to Sandton. The bag was recovered in Park Station. When I went to get it, I found the bag with everything in it but there was no money. The money was between R350 to R400. Still to this day no feedback has been given by Gautrain.
Impressive new developments. Clean and well maintained with good security. The only drawback is that the road network in and out of Sandton has not been upgraded to deal with the ever increasing numper of vehicles, so expect massive traffic delays in and out at peak times.
Safest and most efficient method of public transport (semi private) in Johannesburg. Very strict with food and drink, which is good, allowing for a very clean and enjoyable trip. North-South Line is reasonably priced, but the airport express is slightly expensive.
Super awesomeness that I can move around the city quickly. Can be quite a bit pricier than taking normal public transport, but always quicker. Much cheaper and usually quicker than Uber. They have had some reliability issues, but they seem okay now.
Like the fact that they now have a wrapping service for your luggage. Saves you time when you get to the airport. And the security guards Are friendly and remind you to lock your car and don't leave things lying around as you rush for the train.
On website shows 24hrs available. Could not collect my car after 21:30 on 4 Feb 2023. I was shown to go in at the parking area for Park and Ride to Imagine Dragon Concert. Nobody available to help. Security company not helpfull at all. Have
The service was good on this day. The trains were working fine no delays, however, I can say that I trust it or rather im more comfortable travelling back from the airport then I am going. I can't risk missing my flight again because of the
Although it was a safer option on the day of protests, I was not impressed with the service offered at a "so called 1st world facility". When receiving a underground parking ticket stub, allowing for first 15 minute parking for free, there
I've commuted a few times and found it to be a pleasant and safe mode of transport. Security is everywhere, and the no food on train policy really is great. So quick assistance to purchase tickets, guidance where to take trains etc. I did
It’s unsafe outside there with the taxi drivers threatening Uber drivers. I just got accosted by two elderly man who threatened my driver and I was with my my child. I will not tolerate being bullied especially when my child is with me as
Very cool. I like the way passengers help each other gets the right train to the right place. You also got assisted to wait at the designated area where the train will stop. The directory is there but not helpful when someone is late to
Get to and from Sandton comfortably and efficiently. Can get to Rosebank, Pretoria, Centurion, Midrand, and even Park Station. Use to connect to flights or even international shuttle if you goSwaziland. Avoid traffic, get there fast and
Gauteng's Gautrain is certainly world class transport. The stations are modern, clean and safe. The train itself is first world and my encounter with the staff connected was very positive. It is a quick and fairly affordable mode of
A pleasure taking the Gautrain from Sandton Station. Neat and tidy. Good assistance with the one or 2 security staff on duty, however there could be more staff to assist at lifts to direct passengers to the right floors.
Great customer experience. Easy to buy tickets and clean trains. The best way to travel during traffic hours and the fastest way to get into Sandton from the airport.
Was here at sandton station to and from airport. -Big station, its vertical instead of horizontal. the airport line is at the bottom, maybe 10 stories underground.
The aircon in the gautrain is not on. It's 29 degrees outside Ridiculous if you paying R45 per trip with no proper ventilation. Unbearable conditions
The service is absolutely great, especially the assistance we get from the securities at train station platforms.
Grand and very classy! I'm proud to see this in South Africa. I liked the easy access and quick trip.
